  • This paper describes result of a study on safety against a fire of charging cable for mobile phone for vehicle. Combustion on the USB cable in the car was happened while driving. Gas coming from the burning USB cable could be a reason which can make a secondary car accident since the driver also can be embarrassed while driving. In order to prevent a secondary car accident connected on the road, to research a reason why USB cable can emit gas and be burned in charging. We did simulation test with abnormal fault condition for the electronic component on the board in the USB cable. So we get the result from abnormal fault condition simulation test, for instance, shorted test for output terminal of 8 pin switch, shorted test for chip resistor after thermal aging in the condition $25^{\circ}C$, 93 % RH during 48 hours. To analysis the result of all test, Combustion on the USB cable was not the 8 pin but other electrical component such as a chip resistor. Therefore we guess that the reason for USB cable combustion in charging in a car was not 8 pin and a LED but another defective component.

  • Wavelet Transform is a new tools for signal processing, such as data compressing extraction of parameter for Reconition and Diagnostics. This transform has an advandage of a good resolution compared to Fast Fourier Transform (FFT) In this study, we employ the wavelet transform for analysis of Acoustic Emission raw signal generated form rotary compressor. In abnormal condition of rotary compressor, the state of operating condition can be classified by analizing coefficient of wavelet transformed signal.

  • In these days abnormal climate occurs frequently because of global warming and earthshock. So it is necessary to prepare for the abnormal conditions like gale, rainfall, heavy snow and high temperature. Fortunately, Korea high speed rail(KTX) have a safety climate detection system for the abnormal weather by using CTC. So the safety is guaranteed in most aspect. But in convention line there isn't any alarm system for the abnormal condition and the train runs until the railroad loss occurred. So convention line need additional regulation same as KTX for the abnormal climate and in the near future passenger safety must be protected by new alarm system.

  • The present study has been carried out to elucidate the optimal method for the performance test of a refrigerator vacuum insulation panel (VIP), by using numerical heat transfer analysis. Three locations of heat flux meter have been tested, for deriving the best test method to clarify the normal or the abnormal condition of the vacuum insulation panel in a refrigerator. The first location of the heat flux sensor is at the same place as the heater, the second one is at the nearby side location of the heater and the third one is at the opposite side location of heater in the refrigerator. The heat flux and $1/q^{{\prime}{\prime}^2}$ or $q^{{\prime}{\prime}^4}$ were calculated for the cases with the normal VIP, and with the abnormal VIP, and their differences analyzed. From the present study, the first and the second method had a mere difference characteristics of heat flux and $1/q^{{\prime}{\prime}^2}$ or $q^{{\prime}{\prime}^4}$, between the cases with the normal or the abnormal VIP. The magnitude of the heat flux after 300sec had a great difference between the cases with the normal or abnormal VIP for the third method, and it could be considered the most optimal method to test the performance of a refrigerator vacuum insulation panel.

  • Various approaches have been applied to transform aquaculture from a manual, labour-intensive industry to one dependent on automation technologies in the era of the fourth industrial revolution. Technologies associated with the monitoring of physical condition have successfully been applied in most aquafarm facilities; however, real-time biological monitoring systems that can observe fish condition and behaviour are still required. In this study, we used a video recorder placed on top of a fish tank to observe the swimming patterns of rock bream (Oplegnathus fasciatus), first one fish alone and then a group of five fish. Rock bream in the video samples were successfully identified using the you-only-look-once v3 algorithm, which is based on the Darknet-53 convolutional neural network. In addition to recordings of swimming behaviour under normal conditions, the swimming patterns of fish under abnormal conditions were recorded on adding an anaesthetic or lowering the salinity. The abnormal conditions led to changes in the velocity of movement (3.8 ± 0.6 cm/s) involving an initial rapid increase in speed (up to 16.5 ± 3.0 cm/s, upon 2-phenoxyethanol treatment) before the fish stopped moving, as well as changing from swimming upright to dying lying on their sides. Machine learning was applied to datasets consisting of normal or abnormal behaviour patterns, to evaluate the fish behaviour. The proposed algorithm showed a high accuracy (98.1%) in discriminating normal and abnormal rock bream behaviour. We conclude that artificial intelligence-based detection of abnormal behaviour can be applied to develop an automatic bio-management system for use in the aquaculture industry.

  • Stevens-Johnson syndrome (SJS) is a severe adverse cutaneous drug reaction seen rarely in clinical practice. Although relatively rare, the condition can be fatal. Mainly, it is caused by side effects of certain medications. Previous reports have associated Stevens-Johnson syndrome with abnormal root development, but the other long-term dental complications have rarely been reported. In this case, the patient developed SJS at the age of 5, and abnormal root development of the maxillary and mandibular first molars and mandibular incisors was observed, as well as impaction of the mandibular canine and enamel hypomineralization of multiple teeth. Accordingly, appropriate restorative treatment and orthodontic treatment were performed, and the clinical characteristics of this symptoms and its treatment were discussed in more detail. We aim to highlight the need for dentists to be aware of the potential dental complications of SJS and to enable early diagnosis and management of the condition to avoid undesirable sequelae.

  • Human circulatory system between heart and tissue is not directly connected in normal condition but mandatory to go through the capillary system in order to fulfill its physiologic aim to deliver oxygen and nutrients, etc. to the tissue and retrieve used blood together with waste products from the tissue properly. When abnormal connection between arterial and venous system (AV fistula), these two circulatory systems respond differently to the hemodynamic impact of this abnormal connection between high pressure (artery) and low pressure (vein) system. Depending upon the location and/or degree (e.g. size and flow) of fistulous condition, each circulatory system exerts different compensatory hemodynamic response to this newly developed abnormal inter-relationship between two systems in order to minimize its hemodynamic impact to own system of different hemodynamic characteristics. Pump action of the heart can assist the failing arterial system directly to maintain arterial circulation against newly established low peripheral resistance by the AV fistula during the compensation period, while it affects venous system in negative way with increased venous loading. However, the negative impact of increased heart action to the venous system is partly compensated by the lymphatic system which is the third circulatory system to assist venous system independently with different hemodynamics. The lymphatic system with own unique Iymphodynamics based on peristaltic circulation from low resistance to high resistance condition, also increases its circulation to assist the compensation of overloaded venous system. Once these compensation mechanisms should fail to fight to newly established hemodynamic condition due to this abnormal AV connection, each system start to show different physiologic ${\underline{de}compensation}$ including heart and lymphatic system. The vicious cycle of decompensation between arterial and vein, two circulatory system affecting each other by mutually negative way steadily progresses to show series of hemodynamic change throughout entire circulation system altogether including heart. Clinical outcome of AV fistula from the compensated status to decompensated status is closely affected by various biological and mechanical factors to make the hemodynmic status more complicated. Proper understanding of these crucial biomechanical factors iii particular on hemodyanmic point of view is mandatory for the advanced assessment of biomechanical impact of AV fistula, since this new advanced concept of AY fistula based on blomechanical information will be able to improve clinical control of the complicated AV fistula, either congenital or acquired.

  • This paper presents spectrum analysis technique to identify abnormal noise produced in diesel railcars. Coherence and coherent power spectrum are very useful in determining source identifications. Experiments are applied to two different cars with similar phenomena about the case of stop and running condition. Metal contact in mounting bracket part which is excited by excessive transmission vibration is found to cause abnormal noise.

  • Lubricating oil supply system is an essential instrument for safe turbine operation. A lubricating condition may cause the abnormal vibration of turbine. In this paper we have discussed the abnormal vibration of turbine due to lubricating oil. Dusts of the air usually attach to end of the oil deflector and contact particles of the bearing oil. Dusts which were contacted particles of the bearing oil were changed into carbon deposit because of high temperature. therefore, carbon deposits occur abnormal vibration of the turbine when they contact a rotor. So, we have solved this problems through the various maintenance.
