  • In this paper, we explore the economic principle behind the revenue-sharing rule for interconnection charges. First, we assert that firms can collude by splitting tile revenues equally i.e., choosing the revenue-sharing ratio equal to l/2. Also, we characterize the optimal revenue-sharing ratio in a model of horizontal interconnection and discuss the relation between the optimal ratio and the optimal access price.

  • Two $C^1$-mappings, whose domain is a connected compact $C^1$-Banach manifold modelled over a Banach space X over $\mathbb{K}=\mathbb{R}$ or $\mathbb{C}$ and whose range is a Banach space Y over $\mathbb{K}$, are introduced. Sufficient conditions are given to assert they share only a value. The proof of the result, which is based upon continuation methods, is constructive.

  • We, Human beings, use both powers of reason and emotion simultaneously, which surely help us to obtain flexible adaptability against the dynamic environment. We assert that this principle can be applied into the general system. That is, it would be possible to improve the adaptability by covering a digital oriented information processing system with an analog oriented emotion layer. In this paper, we proposed a vertical slicing model with an emotion layer in It. And we showed that the emotion-based control allows us to improve the adaptability of a system at least under some conditions.

  • The purpose of this paper is to capture the intuition that imperatives and deontic modal sentences are alike in some way but different in other ways, I show that imperatives and deontic modal sentences are alike in that both types of sentences have the modal force of deontic modality, but that they are different in that while imperatives make a contribution that there is an obligation or a permission issued by the speaker as an essential part of their meaning, deontic modal sentences assert the existence of an obligation or a permission in the current world.

  • The contents of this paper can be divided into three parts. First assert is that the attributes of technology determine the characters of the technology transfer and such technology transfer is an unequal exchange. Second, the progresses of the states of development countries and under-development countries made the technology transfer into the technology dependency, that is, from the dependency of consumption to the dependency of Production. Final1y, we analyzed the problems of technology self-reliance and presented the Polices overcoming the technology dependency.

  • In dealing with transformation group, topological approach is very natural. But, it is not sufficient to investigate geometric properties of transformation group and we need geometric method. Frankel-McDuff Conjecture is very interesting in the point that it shows struggling between topological method and geometric method. In this paper, the author suggest generalized Frankel-McDuff conjecture as a topological version of the conjecture and construct a counterexample for the generalized version, and from this we assert that topological method does not work for Frankel-McDuff Conjecture.

  • The coil spring is used in the suspension of automotive vehicles and small omnibus. Recently, it can be adopted hardening type spring which spring constant is accompanied by increasing displacement to increase passenger comfortability. One of methods which assert this characteristic is cylindrical-taper section coil spring. In this paper we calculate ideal spring characteristic curve from the given vehicle conditions, and show the design method of the cylindrical-taper section coil spring.

  • Objectives: This study was performed to examined the effectiveness evaluation of peer education program on smoking prevention and cessation for elementary school students. Methods: Data were collected from 60 students in a rural area through self-administrated questionnaires. Child-leaders participated the peer education program to assist their friend, parent, and adult in community to quit the smoking for 4 weeks. Results and Conclusions: Major conclusions were as follows : 1. The peer education program on smoking prevention and cessation for elementary school students was reinforce to increasing the tobacco knowledge and the cessation skill, learning the communication skill, and improving the empowerment. 2. Image of tobacco, intention of smoking in future, recommendation for smoking cessation, pro of smoking. con of smoking, and level of assert in post-test were higher than those in pre-test. 3. There were significant differences in image of tobacco, con of smoking, and level of assert by grade between the pre-test and the post-test of peer education program. But intention of smoking in future, recommendation for smoking cessation, and pro of smoking were not related to effectiveness of peer education program. 4. Child-leaders for smoking prevention and cessation performed the their task to 1.4 persons per student. 5. Participating students were satisfied with the contents of program, the usefulness of educational materials, and preference of parents, but they were not satisfied with the usefulness of task note, learning time, and lecture room.
