  • This study has as its primary aims the following: to create a fashion design based on the aesthetic value of Art Nouveau which flourished from the end of 19 century to the beginning of 20 century. In this thesis, two themes, Rose Aroma and Iris Memory are selected among the flower patterns and are used to create two works. First, the Rose Aroma theme is for an evening dress of S-curve style made with Silk Jacquard based on rose image of Art Nouveau. For decoration, artificial rose and its stem, and leaves are used to highlight hip line. By such design associated with a flower garden, cubic effects are expressed as a design point. Second, the Iris Memory theme is for a wedding dress made with tulle based on Iris image of Art Nouveau. This dress has a special point in its top bra, underwear used like an outer garment, involving spangle, beads, pearl, and cubic in order to enhance its visual effect. These works are significant in presenting the development possibilities of various fashion designs by introducing Art Nouveau style into diverse modern fashions.

  • The purpose of this study is to develop and verify the effectiveness of a group art therapy program to help children from multicultural families adapt to school life by using Kinetic School Drawing(KSD). The result of this study showed that the group art therapy program of the multicultural family's children may have a positive effect in aiding their school life adaptation. The results showed considerable and statistical outcome in the fore and after drawing inspection of the dynamic KSD. Also, the size of the self-image became bigger and their expressions has been increased. The qualitative analysis also showed a huge change in dynamistic personal relationships due to the relationship with their peers with the same aged and the tutor. This study emphasizes the importance of the group art therapy program to be applied before children are admitted to school because of growing recognition of concern about the maladjustment of rapidly growing multicultural family's children. It is also suggests that the group art therapy program of growing multicultural family's children should be viewed with an ecological point of view.

  • Objectives: The aim of the study was to evaluate the clinical and radiographic success of the Hall technique (HT) and atraumatic restorative treatment (ART) restorations using high-viscosity glass-ionomer cement for the management of occlusal carious lesions in primary molars. Materials and Methods: This randomized clinical study observed 40 children (aged 5-6 years). For each child, one tooth was treated with HT and one with ART. The primary outcome measures for HT restorations were successful, minor, and major failure rates. Clinical evaluations of ART restorations were performed according to the modified United States Public Health Service criteria during 18-month follow-up. McNemar test was used for statistical analysis. Results: Thirty of 40 (75%) participants returned for 18 months of follow-up. In the clinical evaluations of teeth that were treated with HT, the patients did not have complaints of pain or other symptoms, all crowns remained in the oral cavity, the gums were healthy, and the teeth were functional in all evaluations. At the end of the 18-month follow-up, the surface texture and marginal integrity criteria of ART restorations were recorded as 26.7% and 33.3%, respectively. In the radiographic evaluation of 30 patients treated with ART and HT, all restorations were considered successful. Conclusions: The 18-month clinical and radiographic results after treatments applied to single-surface cavities in anxious children showed that both treatment methods were successful.

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study is to confirm the matching of the electron density between tissue and gas due to variation of abdominal gas volume in MRgART (Magnetic Resonance-guided Adaptive Radiation Therapy) for pancreatic cancer patients, and to confirm the effect on the dose change and treatment time. Materials and Methods: We compared the PTV and OAR doses of the initial plan and the AGC(Abdominal gas correction) plans to one pancreatic cancer patient who treated with MRgART using the ViewRay MRIdian System (Viewray, USA) at this clinic. In the 4fx AGC plans, Beam ON(%) according to the patient's motion error was checked to confirm the effect of abdominal gas volume on treatment time. Results: Comparing the Initial plan with the average value of AGC plan, the dose difference was -7 to 0.1% in OAR and decreased by 0.16% on average, and in PTV, the dose decreased by 4.5% to 5.5% and decreased by 5.1% on average. In Adaptive treatment, as the abdominal gas volume increased, the Beam ON(%) decreased. Conclusion: Abdominal gas volume variation causes dose change due to inaccurate electron density matching between tissue and gas. In addition, if the abdominal gas volume increases, the Beam ON(%) decreases, and the treatment time may increase due to the motion error of the patient. Therefore, in MRgART, it is necessary to check the electron density matching and minimize the variability of the abdominal gas.

  • Fuzzy logic is used to represent qualitative knowledge and provides interpretability to a controlling system model in bioinformatics. This paper focuses on a bioinformatics data classification which is an important bioinformatics application. This paper reviews the two traditional controlling system models The sequence-based threshold controller have problems of optimal range decision for threshold readjustment and long processing time for optimal threshold induction. And the binary-based threshold controller does not guarantee for early system stability in the GPCR data classification for optimal threshold induction. To solve these problems, we proposes a fuzzy-based threshold controller for ART1 clustering in GPCR classification. We implement the proposed method and measure processing time by changing an induction recognition success rate and a classification threshold value. And, we compares the proposed method with the sequence-based threshold controller and the binary-based threshold controller The fuzzy-based threshold controller continuously readjusts threshold values with membership function of the previous recognition success rate. The fuzzy-based threshold controller keeps system stability and improves classification system efficiency in GPCR classification.

  • As Information Technology growing, the character recognition application plays an important role in the ubiquitous environment. In this paper, we propose the Modified ART1 network using Multiresolution Mergence to the problems of the character recognition. The approach is based on the unsupervised neural network and multiresolution. In order to decrease noises and to increase the classification rate of the characters, we propose the multiresolution mergence strategy using both high resolution and low resolution information. Also, to maximize the effect of multiresolution mergence, we use a modified ART1 method with a different similarity measure. Our experimental results show that the classification rate of character is quite increased as well as the performance of the propose algorithm in conjunction with the similarity measure is improved comparing to the conventional ART1 algorithm in this application.
