Novel Design of Ultrashort Pulse Excimer Laser Amplifier System I (Energy Characteristics)

  • The technology required to advance the state of the art of ultra-high-intensity excimer amplifier construction to the 100 J/100fs output pulse level is identified. The preliminary design work for very large final amplifier pumped by electron beam module is described, and key design problems and approaches are presented and discussed in detail based on the recent experimental and theoretical results.

  • The best value proposition for the customers of satellite-DMB (hereinafter referred to as the "S-DMB") business in an environment of fierce competition shall be securing the best killer contents and distribute them in reasonable price as a mobile contents platform provider. In an era of merging the broadcasting with the communication, although many new players tapping into the market with state-of-the-art media such as digital convergence, the key to success in the market is dependent on whether the respective digital contents providers retain competitive digital contents which suit the taste of customers. Considering such market conditions, the purpose of this study is to look over the management examples of Korean S-DMB providers which is carrying out business in digital multi-media market and opening up the market, and to analyze the management strategies of domestic S-DMB companies to be the champion in the market.

  • Recently there are many attempts that IT convergence has been studied together with very different sector like art and music. If it is possible to make a formal model with combination of engineering with strong creative sector like music, there will be some advantages to analyze its contents easily. In this study, the model has been provided to utilize music analysis and compose algorithm through the formal model research of Sonata. To this end, this study has been provided a formal model of Sonata with the Petri net model being widely used and verify the effectiveness of the proposed model on the case of Piano Sonata K. 332.

  • Reproductive biotechnology has developed rapidly and is now able to overcome many birth difficulties due to infertility or the transmission of genetic diseases. Here we introduce the next generation of assisted reproductive technologies (ART), such as mitochondrial replacement technique (MRT) or genetic correction in eggs with micromanipulation. Further, we suggest that the transmission of genetic information from somatic cells to subsequent generations without gametes should be useful for people who suffer from infertility or genetic diseases. Pluripotent stem cells (PSCs) can be converted into germ cells such as sperm or oocytes in the laboratory. Notably, germ cells derived from nuclear transfer embryonic stem cells (NT-ESCs) or induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs) inherit the full parental genome. The most important issue in this technique is the generation of a haploid chromosome from diploid somatic cells. We hereby examine current science and limitations underpinning these important developments and provide recommendations for moving forward.

In vivo Trafficking of Liposomes Containing Boron Compounds for Boron Neutron Capture Therapy (BNCT)

  • For over 50 years, boron neutron capture therapy (BNCT) has been steadily developed for treating various cancers. This is a non-invasive, selective, and targeted radiotherapy wherein boron-rich molecules accumulate at the tumor site. Liposomal vesicles have become a popular and effective drug delivery system for BNCT, with strategies including surface decoration, bilayer integration, and hydrophilic core encapsulation. This review highlights the state-of-the-art uses of liposomes in BNCT and elucidates a new perspective where BNCT can be used with radiotracer guidance in all-in-one delivery systems.

초분광영상의 조명효과 보정 전처리기법 분석 (Analyzing Preprocessing for Correcting Lighting Effects in Hyperspectral Images)

  • Because hyperspectral imaging provides detailed spectral information across a broad range of wavelengths, it can be utilized in numerous applications, including environmental monitoring, food quality inspection, medical diagnosis, material identification, art authentication, and crime scene analysis. However, hyperspectral images often contain various types of distortions due to the environmental conditions during image acquisition, which necessitates the proper removal of these distortions through a data preprocessing process. In this study, a preprocessing method was investigated to effectively correct the distortion caused by artificial light sources used in indoor hyperspectral imaging. For this purpose, a halogen-tungsten artificial light source was installed indoors, and hyperspectral images were acquired. The acquired images were then corrected for distortion using a preprocessing that does not require complex auxiliary equipment. After the corrections were made, the results were analyzed. According to the analysis, a statistical transformation technique using mean and standard deviation with reference to a reference signal was found to be the most effective in correcting distortions caused by artificial light sources.

Real-time collision-free landing path planning for drone deliveries in urban environments

  • This study presents a novel safe landing algorithm for urban drone deliveries. The rapid advancement of drone technology has given rise to various delivery services for everyday necessities and emergency relief efforts. However, the reliability of drone delivery technology is still insufficient for application in urban environments. The proposed approach uses the "landing angle control" method to allow the drone to land vertically and a rapidly exploring random tree-based collision avoidance algorithm to generate safe and efficient vertical landing paths for drones while avoiding common urban obstacles like trees, street lights, utility poles, and wires; these methods allow for precise and reliable urban drone delivery. We verified the approach within a Gazebo simulation operated through ROS using a six-degree-of-freedom drone model and sensors with similar specifications to actual models. The performance of the algorithms was tested in various scenarios by comparing it with that of stateof-the-art 3D path planning algorithms.

신미의 '훈민정음' 창제 관련 설화와 문화융합의 콘텐츠 방안 (A Study on the Tales related to the Creation of 'Humninjeongeum' of Sinmi and the Way of their culture-convergence contents)

  • 지금까지 '훈민정음'이 세종의 명을 받든 집현전 학사들에 의해 창제되었다는 견해가 일반적이었지만 본 논문에서는 신미(1403-1480)가 세종의 밀명을 받고 '훈민정음' 창제에 주도적인 역할을 하였음을 밝히고, 나아가 이와 관련 설화의 문화융합 콘텐츠의 가능성을 모색하고자 한다. 연구방법으로 특히 "세종실록", "문종실록", "한국불교전서" 등 문헌 중심으로 그 근거를 살펴보았다. 그 결과 첫째, 세종의 신미에 대한 절대적인 신임, 둘째, 신미가 범어에 능통하여 불경 해역에 탁월한 능력을 발휘한 점, 셋째, 세종이 금동아미타삼존불을 복천암에 시주하고, 신미에게 '국이세(國利世) 혜각존자(慧覺尊者)'라는 존호를 내린 점, 넷째, 신미의 불교를 통한 훈민정음의 교육과 보급의 서원, 다섯째, 세조의 신미가 주석하고 있는 복천암 방문 등을 확인하였다. 나아가 훈민정음 창제 관련 설화를 단순한 스토리 수준에 머물게 하지 않고 이를 스토리텔링 하여 국가적 혹은 지역적 축제로 승화시킨다면 융복합 문화콘텐츠 활성화의 좋은 방안이 될 수 있음에 그 의의를 두었다.

그로테스크 회화 작품을 응용한 바디페인팅 융합 디자인 (Body Painting Convergence Design Using Grotesque Painting Works)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 그로테스크의 개념과 특징을 고찰하고 그로테스크의 회화적 역사를 살펴 본 후 시대별 회화 작품을 응용한 바디페인팅 융합 디자인 작품을 제시함으로써 창의적이고 독창적인 바디페인팅 디자인의 기초자료를 제시하는데 있다. 연구 방법은 관련 서적과 선행 연구 및 인터넷 자료 등을 토대로 그로테스크와 바디페인팅의 개념 및 특징, 표현기법 등을 이론적으로 고찰하고 시대별로 그로테스크 회화 작품의 이미지를 분석한 후 이를 바탕으로 융합 디자인하여 바디페인팅 작품을 제작하였다. 연구 결과, 바디페인팅 작품 제작을 통해 그로테스크를 비롯한 회화 작품들이 바디페인팅 작가들에게 무한한 상상력과 다양한 주제를 제시할 수 있다는 것을 알 수 있었다. 이러한 결과는 향 후 바디페인팅 작품을 디자인하는데 미술작품의 역할이 크게 작용할 수 있음을 시사하는 바이다. 또한 이를 좀 더 학문적이고 체계적으로 연구하고자 하는 이들에게 융합 디자인의 영감을 제시하여 예술 작품으로서의 바디페인팅이 하나의 독자적 영역을 공고히 하는데 도움이 되기를 기대한다.

ICT융합 헬스케어 서비스 현황 및 발전전략 (ICT Convergence Healthcare Services Status and Future Strategies)

  • 인간의 건강한 삶을 실현하기 위하여, 정신적, 육체적, 환경적 요인이 지속적이고 안정적으로 관리되어야한다. 인간건강을 안정적이고 효율적으로 관리하기 위해서 21세기 보건의료분야는 ICT기술과 지속적 상호작용 및 융합이 필수적으로 요구되어왔다. 이러한 시대적 요구는 이종(heterogeneous)기술의 결합으로 융합(fusion)기술을 창출했고, 의료기술과 ICT기술의 융합을 통해서 개인맞춤형 치료환경이 조성되며, 다양한 웨어러블 디바이스 개발로 ICT융합 모바일 건강의료 서비스가 발전되고 있다. 이러한 이종기술의 결합은 ICT융합 헬스케어시스템의 복잡도(complexity)를 기하급수적으로 상승시켜서, 다양한 기술적, 제도적, 환경적, 문화적 이슈와 문제들을 발생시키고 있다. 본 연구는 ICT 헬스케어 기술에 대해 과거부터 현재까지 이어지는 발전현황을 조명하고, 주요한 국내외 헬스케어 기술 및 정책 이슈들을 발굴하고, 최종적으로 이러한 과제들을 해결하기 위한 헬스케어 로드맵과 향후 발전방향을 제안한다.
