저온 플라즈마침탄처리된 316L 스테인레스 스틸의 플라즈마 후질화 처리시 표면특성에 미치는 가스조성의 영향 (The effects of post nitriding on the AISI 316 stainless steel after Plasma carburizing at various gas compositions)

  • In this experiment, post-nitriding treatment has been performed at $400^{\circ}C$ on AISI 316 stainless steel which is plasma carburized previously at $430^{\circ}C$ for 15 hours. Plasma nitriding was implemented on AISI 316 stainless steel at various gas compositions (25% N2, 50% N2 and 75% N2) for 4 hours. Additionally, during post nitriding Ar gas was used with H2 and N2 to observe the improvement of treatment. After treatment, the behavior of the hybrid layer was investigated by optical microscopy, X-ray diffraction, and micro-hardness testing. Potentiodynamic polarization test was also used to evaluate the corrosion resistance of the samples. Meanwhile, it was found that the surface hardness increased with increasing the nitrogen gas content. Also small percentage of Ar gas was introduced in the post nitriding process which improved the hardness of the hardened layer but reduces the corrosion resistance compared with the carburized sample. The experiment revealed that AISI 316L stainless steel showed better hardness and excellent corrosion resistance compared with the carburized sample, when 75% N2 gas was used during the post nitriding treatment. Also addition of Ar gas during post nitriding treatment were degraded the corrosion resistance of the sample compared with the carburized sample.

Plasma characterization of a mesh separated dual plasma source by L-probe and QMS

  • 반도체 소자의 크기가 나노사이즈로 줄어들기 때문에, 건식식각의 중요성이 강조되고 있다. dual plasma source를 사용함으로써 plasma 밀도, 이온충돌에너지, 이온플럭스를 조절 가능하다. Low frequency로 이온에너지를 조절하고, high frequency로 이온플럭스를 일반적으로 조절한다. 본 연구는 inductively coupled plasma (ICP)와 capacitively coupled plasma (CCP)를 사용하는 dual plasma source이다. ICP는 AE RPS로 2.4 MHz를 사용하고, CCP는 AE RFX-600으로 13.56 MHz이다. single L-probe는 Hiden ESPion이고, quadrupole mass spectrometer (QMS)는 INFICON CPM-300이다. chuck에 CCP가 인가되고, ICP는 SUS mesh를 거쳐서 영향을 미친다. Gas는 Ar, Ar+CF4 두 조건에서 비료를 하였다. Single L-probe를 이용하여 플라즈마를 측정한 결과 CCP만 인가하였을 때, Te 2.05 eV, Ne 4.07E+10 #/cm3, Ni 5.82E+10 #/cm3의 결과를 얻을 수 있었다. ICP를 방전하고 mesh를 통해서 chuck으로 입사하는 이온을 측정한 결과 mesh에 의해 이온이 중성화되어 거의 입사하지 않음을 확인할 수 있었다. 최종적으로 이온의 영향이 상쇄되고, 라디칼의 영향이 증가하여 높은 etch rate와 선택비를 가지며, 등방성 식각의 영향이 커질 것으로 사료된다.

  • CO와 유사한 분자궤도함수를 갖는 isocyanide 리간드가 포함된$Cp(CO)_{2}(L)MH$ (L = t-butylisocyanide and 2,6-dimethylphenylisocyanide M = Mo and W)를 합성하고, 이 착물과 triflic acid를 사용하여 카르보닐기를 알코올로 전환시키는 실험을 하였다. 또한, 이들 착물을 촉매 전구체로 이용하여 3-pentanone의 수소화 반응을 온화한 조건 ($23^{\circ}C,\;<4.1\;atm H_{2}$)에서 수행하였다. 촉매 활성은 매우 낮았으며, [$Cp(CO)_{2}(ArNC)Mo][BA_{r}^{F}_{4}$]의 경우에 2 turnovers/day의 결과를 나타내었다.

Effects of the Sintering Atmosphere and Ni Content on the Liquid-phase Sintering of $TiB_2$-Ni

  • The effects of the sintering atmosphere and Ni content on t도 densification of TiB$_2$-Ni have been investigated. TiB$_2$powder compacts containing 10, 20, and 30 wt% Ni were liquid-phase sintered at 1500-1$700^{\circ}C$ in vacuum or in flowing Ar. The densification was enhanced as Ni content increased. For a given Ni content, the densification was faster in compacts in compacts with larger grain size. These densification behaviors agree well with the prediction of the recently developed pore-filling theory. For samples containing high Ni contents, 80TiB$_2$-20Ni and 70TiB$_2$-30Ni, the densification was faster in vacuum than in Ar. In particular, 70TiB$_2$-30Ni was fully densified at 1$700^{\circ}C$ for 60min in vacuum. The suppressed densification in Ar was due to the entrapped Ar in the isolated pores. On the other hand, for 90TiB$_2$-10Ni, the Ar-sintering resulted in higher densification than did the vacuum-sintering. This result was attributed to the suppression of Ni volatilization by the Ar in the furnace and a retarded isolation of pores due to the limited amount of liquid in the sample. Therefore, vacuum sintering is recommended for the preparation of TiB$_2$-Ni with a high Ni content while Ar sintering is recommended for the preparation of TiB$_2$-Ni with a low Ni content.

비모수적 차영상과 칼만 필터를 이용한 실시간 객체 추적 알고리즘의 구현 (Implementation of Real-time Object Tracking Algorithm based on Non-parametric Difference Picture and Kalman Filter)

  • 본 논문은 연속적인 영상에 대해 비모수적 영상 처리 기법과 칼만 필터 기반의 동적 AR(2) 프로세스 기법을 적용하여 객체의 움직임을 적응적으로 추적하는 실시간 객체 추적 알고리즘을 구현하였다. 다양한 환경 조건에서 입력되는 영상에 대해 비모수적 영상 처리 기법을 이용하여 처리함으로써 효과적으로 움직임 객체를 추출하였으며, 객체의 움직임을 동적 AR(2) 프로세스 모형으로 모델링하고 동적으로 변하는 AR(2) 프로세스의 파라미터를 칼만 필터를 통해 추정함으로써 객체의 다변적인 움직임을 적응적으로 예측하여 추적할 수 있었다. 구현된 객체 추적 시스템을 실험한 결과, 기존의 선형 칼만 필터 기법을 이용한 추적 기법과 비교하여 추정 오차가 약 1/2.5∼1/50 만큼 더 적게 나와 객체의 움직임을 더 근사적으로 추적함을 알 수 있었다.

연질필름의 장기사용이 참외의 생육 및 수량에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Long Time Usage of Soft Film on the Growth and Yield in Oriental Melon (Cucumis melo L. var makuwa Makino))

  • 참외 하우스 피복필름 장기사용을 위하여 필름두께, 적외선 흡수율, 자외선 투과율이 다른 polyolefin계 film(일본산, J-1, J-2, J-3)을 2006년 1월 16일 피복하여 3년 사용한 처리와 우리나라의 참외 재배농가에서 관행으로 사용하는 polyethylene계 film(K-1)을 2009년 1월 16일 피복하여 1년 사용한 처리를 대조로 설치하여 피복필름의 장기사용 가능성을 검토한 결과, 보온성은 J-2 처리에서 가장 높았고 J-3, J-1 순이었으며, 초기생육모 J-2 처리에서 가장 좋았다. 개화 및 수확소요일수는 K-1 처리에 비하여 J-2 처리에서 15일 단축되었다. 과피의 색도 및 당도는 K-1에 비하여 J-2, J-3, J-1 처리에서 높았고 상품과 수량은 J-2, J-3, J-1 처리 순으로 높았다.

  • To conduct statistical process control needs the assumption that the process data are independent. However, most of chemical processes, like a semi-conduct processes do not satisfy the assumption because of autocorrelation. It causes abnormal out of control signal in the process control and misleading process capability. In this study, we introduce that Shore's method to solve the problem and to find the optimal subgroup size to estimate variance for AR(l) model. Especially, we focus on finding an actual subgroup size for small samples using simulation. It may be very useful for statistical process control to analyze process capability and to make a Shewhart chart properly.

리브가 있는 판형 열교환기 관내부 최적화 (Optimization of the Channel of a Plate Heat Exchanger wits Ribs)

  • In this paper, the optimum shape and arrangement of ribs in the channel of a plate heat exchanger are studied. The following dimensionless geometric parameters of ribs are selected as design variables: rib height ($H_R$), angle of attack ($\beta$), rib pitch ($P_R$), rib distance (L) and aspect ratio of rib (AR). The optimization is performed by minimizing the objective function consisting of the Nusselt number and the friction factor. The optimal values of design variables are as follows: $H_R$=0.263, $\beta$=0.290, $P_R$=3.142, L: 3.954, AR=0.342. The pressure drop and the heat transfer of the optimum model, compared to those of the reference model, are increased by 15.1% and 41.6%, respectively.

Isotope Measurement of Uranium at Ultratrace Levels Using Multicollector Inductively Coupled Plasma Mass Spectrometry

  • Mass spectrometric analysis was carried out using multicollector inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (MC-ICP-MS) for the precise and accurate determination of the isotope ratios of ultratrace levels of uranium dissolved in 3% $HNO_3$. We used the certified reference material (CRM) 112-A at a trace level of 100 pg/mL for the uranium isotopic measurement. Multiple collectors were utilized for the simultaneous measurement of uranium isotopes to reduce the signal uncertainty due to variations in the ion beam intensity over time. Mass bias correction was applied to the measured U isotopes to improve the precision and accuracy. Furthermore, elemental standard solution with certified values of platinum, iridium, gold, and thallium dissolved in 3% $HNO_3$ were analyzed to investigate the formation rates of the polyatomic ions of $Ir^{40}$ $Ar^+$, $Pt^{40}$ $Ar^+$, $Tl^{40}$ $Ar^+$, $Au^{40}$ $Ar^+$ for the concentration range of 50-400 pg/mL. Those polyatomic ions have mass-to-charge ratios in the 230-245 m/z region that it would contribute to the increase of background intensity of uranium, thorium, plutonium, and americium isotopes. The effect of the polyatomic ion interference on uranium isotope measurement has been estimated.

Inhibitory Effect of Aged Petroleum Hydrocarbons on the Survival of Inoculated Microorganism in a Crude-Oil-Contaminated Site

  • We studied the effects of aged total petroleum hydrocarbons (aged TPH) on the survival of allochthonous diesel-degrading Rhodococcus sp. strain YS-7 in both laboratory and field investigations. The aged TPH extracted from a crude-oil-contaminated site were fractionized by thin-layer chromatography/flame ionization detection (TLC/FID). The three fractions identified were saturated aliphatic (SA), aromatic hydrocarbon (AH), and asphaltene-resin (AR). The ratio and composition of the separated fractions in the aged TPH were quite different from the crude-oil fractions. In the aged TPH, the SA and AH fractions were reduced and the AR fraction was dramatically increased compared with crude oil. The SA and AH fractions (2 mg/l each) of the aged TPH inhibited the growth of strain YS-7. Unexpectedly, the AR fraction had no effect on the survival of strain YS-7. However, crude oil (1,000 mg/l) did not inhibit the growth of strain YS-7. When strain YS-7 was inoculated into an aged crude-oil-contaminated field and its presence was monitored by fluorescent in situ hybridization (FISH), we discovered that it had disappeared on 36 days after the inoculation. For the first time, this study has demonstrated that the SA and AH fractions in aged TPH are more toxic to an allochthonous diesel-degrading strain than the AR fraction.
