User Perception about O2O Order·Delivery App Using Topic Modeling and Revised IPA (토픽 모델링과 수정된 IPA를 활용한 O2O 주문·배달 앱에 대한 사용자 인식 연구)

  • Due to the spread of COVID-19, the use of O2O order·delivery applications are becoming very common. Unlike the past, where customers could choose the desired transaction method and channel, these days, where customers' choices are very limited, it is urgent to consider the concept of shadow labor which has been hindered by the convenience and the benefits of order·delivery app. To this end, in this study, the service quality factors perceived by users of O2O order·delivery app and their shadow work attributes were identified, and priorities according to their relative importance and satisfaction level were suggested. In order to fulfill research objectives, first, after collecting user reviews for an O2O order·delivery app, the subject words were derived using topic modeling. Research variables were selected by linking 11 keywords with the concepts of previous studies on service quality of mobile apps and those about shadow labor. Eight variables of usefulness, ease of use, stability, design quality, personalization, responsiveness, update, and presence were selected. Based on 32 measurement items from the variables, a revised IPA was conducted, and finally, 'keep', 'concentrate', 'low priority', or 'overkill' service quality factors are revealed.

  • In the era of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, various attempts have been made to incorporate ICT technology into mathematics teaching and learning, and the necessity and efficiency of classroom instruction using flipped learning, virtual reality and augmented reality have attracted attention. This leads to an increase in demand for instructional contents and their use in education. Therefore, there is a growing need for the development of instructional contents that can be applied in the field and the study of teaching methods. In this point of view, this research classifies the types of teaching-learning, presents the flipped learning instruction and mathematics contents by teaching-learning types using constructivist mathematics education principles and augmented reality-based mobile applications. These methods and lesson plans can provide a useful framework for teaching-learning in mathematics education.

  • With commercial apps popular in EU, MaaS has been emerging around the globe as a new approach to worsening urban traffic problems. In contrast, it is still mainstay in Korea simply discussing the concept and necessities of MaaS, rather than seeking for real-world solutions for the commercialization. The purpose of this research is to analyze the demand-side i1mpacts of travel time and cost changes according to MaaS adoption, and to see its commercial feasibility in Korea. The 2010 KTDB traveler's nationwide OD data is used to estimate the level of fare discount for balancing the mode shift and fare revenue changes followed by MaaS implementation. The analysis results show that MaaS leads to the increase of public transport ridership as a result of the diminishing travel cost and time, and that the time saving works more positively for ridership increase. Also, the optimum level of fare discount is estimated 2.56% without damaging the revenue. This finding reveals that MaaS impact is superior to the other single-sided public transport inventive measures since it can affect both travel cost and time reduction at the same time.

  • The growth of mobile devices in Internet of Things (IoT) leads to a number of intelligent buildings related IoT applications. For instance, home automation controlling system uses client system such web apps on smartphone or web service to access the home server by sending control commands. The home server receives the command, then controls for instance the light system. The gateway based RESTful technology responsible for handling clients' requests attests an internet latency in case a large number of clients' requests submit toward the gateway increases. In this paper, we propose the design tasks of the IoT gateway for handling concurrency events. In the procedure of designing tasks, concurrency is best understood by employing multiple levels of abstraction. The way that is eminently to accomplish concurrency is to build an object-oriented environment with support for messages passing between concurrent objects. We also investigate the performance of event-driven architecture for building IoT gateway using node.js on one side and communication protocol based message-oriented middleware known as XMPP to handle communications of intelligent building control devices connected to the gateway through a centralized hub. The Node.JS is 40% faster than the traditional web server side features thread-based approach. The use of Node.js server-side handles a large number of clients' requests, then therefore, reduces delay in performing predefined actions automatically in intelligent building IoT environment.

  • In the era of the 4th Industrial Revolution, artificial intelligence (AI) has become one of the core technologies in terms of the business strategy among information technology companies. Both international and domestic major portal companies are launching AI search services. These AI search services utilize voice, images, and other unstructured data to provide different experiences from existing text-based search services. An unfamiliar experience is a factor that can hinder the usability of the service. Therefore, the usability testing of the AI search services is necessary. This study examines the usability of the AI search service on the Naver App 8.9.3 beta version by comparing it with the search services of the current Naver App and targets 30 people in their 20s and 30s, who have experience using Naver apps. The usability of Smart Lens, Smart Voice, Smart Around, and AiRS, which are the Naver App beta versions of their artificial intelligence search service, is evaluated and statistically significant usability changes are revealed. Smart Lens, Smart Voice, and Smart Around exhibited positive changes, whereas AiRS exhibited negative changes in terms of usability. This study evaluates the change in usability according to the application of the artificial intelligence search services and investigates the correlation between the evaluation factors. The obtained data are expected to be useful for the usability evaluation of services that use AI.

  • The value and importance of Gamification has intensified as the way Gamification is applied to social networking applications has added to users' interest and involvement to the product. Gamification entails the adoption of gaming techniques and modes of thinking in non-gaming domains to elicit user engagement. To this end, the paper draws on Gamification's analytical model, Octalysis, with the aim of identifying user loyalty of the three major Chinese social networking applications and extracting their characteristics. In this regard, the first task in the advancement of the study is to establish an understanding of the components and characteristics of Gamification within the context of available examples. Next, a questionnaire survey covering China's three dominant social applications, WeChat, QQ, and Xiaohongshu, is administered and their user loyalty is examined through Octalysis's eight analytical frameworks. By virtue of analysis, the results demonstrate that the three elements of game mechanics, Point, Badge, and Leadboard, which are external to the game, fail to sustain the user loyalty, but are merely a means to an end. Only by including a combination of social application features, contents and user needs can Gamification considerations be maximized to ensure that users are subjectively engaged with the product.

Analysis of usage decision factors based on the satisfaction of smart seniors using smartphone delivery applications (스마트 시니어의 스마트폰 배달 애플리케이션 만족도 기반 이용결정요인 분석)

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze the factors that affect the satisfaction of smart seniors using smartphone delivery applications. We established the hypothesis by dividing the factors that will affect the satisfaction of smart seniors using smartphone delivery applications into the characteristics of the delivery app and the personal characteristics of the smart senior. In order to verify the hypothesis, we surveyed adult men and women aged 50 to 65 years old who had experience using delivery apps, and we performed confirmatory factor analysis, correlation analysis, and path analysis to perform statistical processing for data analysis. The analysis results are as follows. First, we found that usefulness among the characteristics of delivery app had a statistically significant positive effect on the delivery app satisfaction of smart seniors. Second, we found that social empathy among the personal characteristics of smart seniors had a statistically significant positive effect on the delivery app satisfaction of smart seniors. Third, we found that delivery app satisfaction had a statistically significant positive effect on reuse intention. Based on research result, we suggested that in order to improve the satisfaction and use of delivery app by smart seniors, it is necessary to develop delivery app that can be usefully used by smart seniors and focus on social empathy.

A Study on the Factors Affecting User Behavior of Internet Medical Apps (인터넷 의료 애플리케이션 사용 행위에 영향을 미치는 요소에 관한 연구)

  • Due to the recent economic development and the improvement of income level in China, the desire for quality medical services is increasing compared to the past. As an alternative to satisfy these needs, various applications using smart phones and the like are being developed. The new corona that occurred in December 2019 began to show great interest in non-face-to-face telemedicine services using smart phones due to the worldwide spread of the coronavirus. Therefore, in this study, a total of 200 people were surveyed on the top three mobile medical applications in China, and the data of 120 people who actually used medical applications were analyzed based on Venkatesh's UTAUT2 theory. A study was conducted on the intent to use and the factors affecting the in-law behavior. First, it has become clear that the interactive characteristics, expectations for effort, price value, interest in privacy, habits, and promotional conditions have a positive impact on the user's use. Second, it was investigated that the user's intention to use influences the behavior of use, and among the intentions of use, it was found that the mobilization characteristic expectation, hedonistic motivation, price value, habits, and promotion conditions affect the use behavior. Third, a study result was derived that the controlling variables such as gender, age, school age, and annual income do not affect the user's intention to use mobile medical applications as a controlling variable. Finally, due to the nature of mobile devices that use the Internet, various security vulnerabilities exist, and this can cause great damage or personal and social impact. Therefore, for the development of mobile medical services in China, it is necessary to re-establish a research model through comprehensive and in-depth considerations to supplement these problems in the future.

A Study on the Effects of Tourism SNS Benefits on the Customer's Intention to Reuse through the Value of Tourism SNS (관광 SNS 효익이 관광 SNS 가치를 통해 재이용의도에 미치는 영향 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to understand the relationship between the subfactors(economic benefits, customized benefits, psychological benefits) of tourism SNS benefits and the intention to reuse tourism SNS values, and propose measures to revitalize the tourism industry through marketing strategies that can continuously provide differentiated services from customers through long-term relationship formation, increase profits, maintain and secure customers. This study conducted an empirical analysis of 326 people aged 19 or older. The results of the study are as follows. First, in the relationship between tourism SNS benefits(Economic benefits, customized benefits, psychological benefits) and tourism SNS values(economic value, functional value, emotional value), it was confirmed that tourism SNS benefits have a positive impact on all of the tourism SNS values. Second, in the relationship between the sub-factors of tourism SNS values and the intention of reuse, it was analyzed that all sub-factors of SNS values have a positive effect on the intention of reuse. Based on result of this study, developing contents such as mobility apps to strengthen long-term relationships with customers to maximize the value of tourism SNS and tourism SNS will improve the reuse of tourism service.

A Study on Configuration of the Road Guide Data Model for Visually Impaired Pedestrian (시각적 교통약자를 위한 길안내 데이터 모델 구축에 관한 연구)

  • Due to the improvement of surveying, mapping and communication techniques, various apps for road direction guides and vehicle navigations have been developed. Although such a development has impacted on walking and driving, there is a limit to improving the daily convenience of the socially impaired people. This is mainly due to the fact that the software have been developed for normal pedestrians and drivers. Therefore, visually impaired people still have problems with the confusion of direction and/or non-provision of risk factors in walking. This study aimed to propose a scheme which constructs data for mobility-impaired or traffic-impaired people based on various geospatial information. The factors and components related to walking for the visually impaired are selected by geospatial data and a walking route guidance network that can be applied to a commercial software. As a result, it was confirmed that road direction guidance would be possible if additional contents, such as braille blocks (dotted/linear), sound signals, bus stops, and bollards are secured. In addition, an initial version of the application software was implemented based on the suggested data model and its usefulness was evaluated to a visually impaired person. To advance the stability of the service in walking for the visually impaired people, various geospatial data obtained by multiple institutes are necessary to be combined, and various sensors and voice technologies are required to be connected and utilized through ICT (Information and Communications Technologies) technology in near future.
