  • Let H be an arbitrary complex Hilbert space. We constructed an extension K of H by means of weakly convergent sequences in H and the Banach limit. Let .phi. be the faithful *-representation of L(H) on K. In this note, we investigated the relations between spectra of T in L(H) and .phi.(T) in L(K) and we obtained the following results: 1) If T is a compact operator on H, then .phi.(T) is also a compact operator on K (Proposition 6), 2) .sigma.$_{l}$ (.phi.(T)).contnd..sigma.$_{l}$ (T) for any operator T.mem.L(H) (Corollary 10), 3) For every operator T.mem.L(H), .sigma.$_{ap}$ (.phi.(T))=.sigma.$_{ap}$ (T))=.sigma.$_{ap}$ (T)=.sigma.$_{p}$(.phi.(T)) (Lemma 12, 13) and .sigma.$_{c}$(.phi.(T))=.sigma.(Theorem 15).15).

  • 시판(市販)되고 있는 9종(種)의 유산균음료(乳酸菌飮料)로부터 Lactobacillus bulgaricus 3주(株), Lactobacillus plantarum 2주(株), Lactobacillus cellobiosus 2주(株) 및 Lactobacillus lactis, Lactobacillus casei subsp. casei, Lactobacillus casei subsp, tolerans를 각각(各各) 1주(株) 분리(分離)하여 streptomycin(SM), chloramphenicol(CP), tetracyline(TC), penicillin(PC), ampicillin(AP), kanamycin(KM), erythromycin(EM) 및 nalidixic acid(NA) 등(等) 8종(種)의 약제(藥劑)에 대(對)한 내성검사(耐性檢査)와 접합(接合)(conjugation)에 의(依)한 대장균(大腸菌)에로의 내성인자(耐性因子)의 전달여부(傳達與否) 및 그 빈도(頻度)를 검사(檢査)하여 아래와 같은 성적(成績)을 얻었다. 전분리균주(全分離菌株)가 TC, PC 및 EM에는 고도(高度)의 감수성(感受性)을 보였으나, SM, CP, AP, KM 및 NA에는 대부분(大部分)이 중도(中度) 또는 고도(高度)의 내성(耐性)을 보였다. 분리균주(分離菌株)의 약제내성유형(藥劑耐性類型)은 NA AP(1주(株)), NA CP(1주(株)), NA AP CP(1주(株)), NA AP CP KM(2주(株)), NA AP CP SM(1주(株)) 및 NA AP CP SM KM(5주(株)) 등(等) 6종(種)으로서 전분리균주(全分離菌株)가 2제(劑) 이상(以上) 다제내성(多劑耐性)을 보였다. 분리균주(分離菌株)의 내성인자전달유형(耐性因子傳達類型)은 R(AP)가 6주(株)로서 대부분(大部分)이 1제내성(劑耐性)을 전달(傳達)하였으며, R(AP SM)형(型)도 3주(株)를 점(占)하였다. 분리균주(分離菌株)의 내성인자전달빈도(耐性因子傳達頻度)는 분리균주(分離菌株) 또는 약제(藥劑)에 따른 차이(差異)는 없었으며, 그 범위(範圍)는 $2.8^{-5}-1.5{\times}10^{-1}%$였다. 이상(以上)의 결과(結果)로 세균(細菌)과 세균(細菌)의 접촉(接觸)에 의(依)해서 유산간균(乳酸桿菌)으로부터 대장균(大腸菌)에로 내성인자(耐性因子)가 감염적(感染的)으로 전달(傳達)됨을 알 수 있었으며 유산균제제(乳酸菌製劑) 및 발효유(醱酵乳)에 사용(使用)되는 유산균주(乳酸菌株)의 선택(選擇)에 신중(愼重)해야 하리라고 사료(思料)되었다.

Genome Wide Expression Profile of Agrimonia pilosa in LPS-stimulated BV-2 Microglial Cells

  • Microglial cells constitute the first line of defense against infection and injury in the brain. This study was conducted to evaluate the protective mechanisms of Agrimonia pilosa (AP) on LPS-induced activation of BV-2 microglial cells. The effects of AP on gene expression profiles in activated BV-2 microglial cells were evaluated using microarray analysis. BV-2 microglial cells were cultured in a 100 mm dish ($1{\times}10^7/mL$) for 24 hr and then pretreated with 1 g/mL AP or left untreated for 30 min. Next, 1 g/mL LPS was added to the samples and the cells were reincubated at $37^{\circ}C$ for 30 min, 3 hr and 6 hr. The gene expression profiles of the BV-2 microglial cells varied depending on the AP. The microarray analysis revealed that MAPK signaling pathway-related genes were down-regulated and IL10 gene was up-regulated in AP-treated BV-2 microglial cells. AP can affect the inflammatory response and MAPK pathway in BV-2 microglial cells.

선형정보 교환을 위한 STEP AP216 Test Case 개발 (Development of Test Cases of STEP AP216 for the Exchange of Hullform Data)

  • The ship STEP is an international standard for the computer-interpretable representation of ship product information and for the exchange of ship product model data. The ship STEP consists of several APs(Application Protocol), such as AP215(ship arrangement), AP216(ship moulded form), AP218(ship structures), AP226(ship mechanical systems), and AP234(operating logs, records, message). The STEP AP216(ISO 10303) are an application protocol for the exchange of ship arrangement and ship moulded forms. The AP216 specifies the geometric shape and the hydrostatic properties of the ship moulded form. This paper introduces the state-of-the-art of ship STEP AP216 and develops the test case for the validation of data structure of AP216.

유드라짓과 알긴산 나트륨 매트릭스를 이용한 4-Aminopyridine의 서방성 제제설계 (Formulation Design of Sustained-Release Matrix Tablets Containing 4-Aminopyridine)

  • 4-Aminopyridine (AP) is a potassium channel blocker used in the treatment of neurological disorders such as multiple sclerosis and Alzheimer disease. AP‘s window of therapeutic effect appears to correlate with its plasma halflife (3.5 hours). It demonstrates pH-dependent solubility because of a weakly basic drug. In addition, the resulting release from conventional matrix tablets decreases with increasing pH-milieu of the gastrointestinal tract. The aim of this study is to design sustained release matrix tablet containing AP, overcoming this problem. $Eudragit^{\circledR}$ L 100 (EuL) and sodium alginate were used in an effort to achieve pH independent drug release. The effect of sodium alginate and EuL on drug release from matrix tablet was investigated. The drug release behavior from the different tablets was analyzed by $t_{20%},\;t_{40%},\;t_{60%}$, The exponential diffusion coefficient n, kinetic constant K were calculated according to the Korsmeyer-Peppas equation. The drug release from matrix tablets prepared with sodium alginate was decreased with increasing the content of sodium alginate in pH 7.4 while there is no significant difference in pH 1.2. The exponent n values were determined to be approximately 0.5 and 0.8 respectively, in both pH 1.2 and 7.4. These values indicate diffusion-based anomalous mechanism and erosion-based anomalous mechanism, respectively. The drug release from sodium alginate matrix tablets prepared with solid dispersion of EuL containing drug showed a slow drug release in an acidic medium and a more fast drug release in phosphate medium, compared with sodium alginate matrix tablets prepared with physical mixture. These results may be attributed to the gel forming ability of sodium alginate and pH dependent solubility of EuL. Therefore, sustained-release AP matrix tablets using sodium alginate and EuL were successfully prepared.

식초와 다슬기회분을 이용하여 제조한 초산칼슘의 품질 특성 (Quality Characteristics of Calcium Acetate Prepared with Vinegars and Ash of Black Snail)

  • 천연의 수용성 칼슘자원을 얻기 위하여 현미식초(Br),감식초(Pe) 및 사과식초(Ap)와 다슬기 회분으로 제조한 액상 및 고상의 초산칼슘(LCA및 SCA) 즉, 액상으로 Br-LCA, Pe-LCA, Ap-LCA와 고상으로 Br-SCA, Pe-SCA, Ap-SCA의 품질특성을 조사하였다. 초산칼슘 제조용 식초의 pH는 2.34∼3.06 범위였으며, 식초 100 mL과 반응하는 다슬기 회분의 양은 20.43∼23.50g, 고상 초산칼슘의 수율은 11.02∼13.01%(w/v)이었다. Ap-LCA 및 Ap-SCA의 색상은 연한 황색을 띠었으나 Br-LCA 및 Br-SCA는 갈색, Ap-LCA 및 Ap-SCA는 진한 갈색을 띠었다. Br-LCA, Pe-LCA 및 Ap-LCA의 칼슘함량은 각각 3.02, 2.06 및 2.30%(w/v)이었으며, Br-SCA, Pe-SCA 및 Ap-SCA의 칼슘함량은 각각 27.15, 16.31 및 19.48%(w/w)이었다. 고상초산칼슘의 용해도는 증류수에서 36.82∼39.92%(w/v), 소주에서 32.05∼39.04%(w/v), 진간장에서 13.12∼18.65%(w/v), 이온음료에서 38.35∼38.90%(w/v), 요구르트에서 33.47∼35.58%(w/v)이었으며 두유와 우유에서는 curd를 생성하였다. 신맛과 쓴맛은 표준품에 비하여 낮았으나 떫은 맛, 비린 맛 및 맛난 맛은 높았다.

이종 무선망에서 L3 핸드오버 이동성 관리 성능 향상 (Improving the Performance of L3 Handover Mobility Management in Heterogeneous Wireless Network)

  • 본고에서는 L3 이동성을 지원하는 기본 프로토콜을 구현하였으며 이동성 시험환경을 개발하여 핸드오버시 성능에 영향을 줄 수 있는 성능 파라미터를 측정 하였다. 기존에 제안되었던 이동성 관리 방법은 무선 네트워크에서 하나의 인터페이스를 이용하기 때문에 새로운 AP에 접속을 하기 위하여 기존 AP와의 연결을 끊고 새로운 AP로 연결을 시도하는 BBM (Break Before Make) 방식을 사용하였으나 VoIP와 같이 지연에 취약한 트래픽에 대하여 많은 패킷 손실이 발생한다. 본 고에서는 서로 다른 무선망에서 seamless한 핸드오버를 제공하기 위하여 2개의 네트워크 인터페이스를 갖는 MBB (Make Before Break) 핸드오버 방식을 제안한다. 기존 방법과 제안된 방법에 대한 이동성과 핸드오버에 대한 비교 연구를 수행하였으며 제안된 방법으로는 패킷 손실이 거의 없음을 알 수 있었다. 최종적으로 제안된 핸드오버 방식에 사용된 이동성 프로토콜이 지연과 패킷 손실에 민감한 응용 서비스에 사용될 수 있음을 보인다.

L1 Cell Adhesion Molecule에 의한 대식세포 매개 염증반응의 억제 기전 분석 (L1 Cell Adhesion Molecule Suppresses Macrophage-mediated Inflammatory Responses)

  • L1 cell adhesion molecule (L1CAM) is a cell surface molecule to initiate a variety of cellular responses through interacting with other cell adhesion molecules in a homophilic or heterophilic manner. Although its expression was found to be upregulated in some tumor cells, including cholangiocarcinomas, and ovarian cancers, and many studies have investigated the role of L1CAM in these cancers, its role in inflammatory responses has been poorly understood. In this study, we explored the role of L1CAM in macrophage-mediated inflammatory responses. L1CAM significantly suppressed the production of nitric oxide (NO), but induced cell proliferation in RAW264.7 cells. L1CAM expression was detectable, but its expression was markedly decreased by lipopolysaccharide (LPS) in RAW264.7 cells. In addition, the expression of pro-inflammatory genes, such as tumor necrosis factor (TNF)-${\alpha}$, cyclooxygenase (COX)-2, and inducible nitric oxide synthase (iNOS) induced by LPS was dramatically suppressed by L1CAM in RAW264.7 cells. L1CAM inhibited the transcriptional activities of NF-${\kappa}B$ and AP-1 while its cytoplasmic domain deletion form, $L1{\Delta}CD$ did not suppressed their activities in RAW264.7 cells. Moreover, L1CAM suppressed nuclear translocation of p65 and p50 as well as c-Jun, c-Fos and p-ATF2 which are transcription factors of NF-${\kappa}B$ and AP-1, respectively. In conclusion, L1CAM suppressed inflammatory responses in macrophages through inhibiting NF-${\kappa}B$ and AP-1 pathways.

고체상추출과 GC/MS를 이용한 소변 중 암페타민계 마약성분 동시분석법 (Simultaneous determination of amphetamine-like drugs in human urine by SPE and GC/MS)

  • 소변 중 암페타민계 5성분(amphetamine; AP, methamphetamine; MA, 3,4-methylenedioxyamphetamine; MDA, 3,4-methylenedioxymethamphetamine; MDMA, 3,4-methylenedioxyethylamphetamine; MDEA)의 동시분석을 위하여 기존의 액체상추출(liquid-liquid extraction; LLE) 방법과는 달리 감정과정의 자동화가 가능한 고체상추출(solid-phase extraction, SPE) 방법을 도입하였다. 시험관에 소변 3 mL와 0.1 M 인산완충액 1 mL (pH 7.0)를 넣고, 자동추출장치를 이용하여 추출하고, 증발 건고하여 유도체화 한 다음 GC/MS로 분석하였다. 그 결과 검정곡선의 직선성 상관계수 ($r^2$)는 AP와 MDA [농도범위 34.0 (AP), 28.0 (MDA)~1000.0 ng/mL] 및 MA, MDMA, MDEA (농도범위 50.0~2000.0 ng/mL)에서 0.994 이상으로 나타났다. 그리고 각 성분들의 검출한계 (LOD)는 4.0~10.0 ng/mL 범위였고, 정량한계 (LOQ)는 12.0~34.0 ng/mL 범위였다. 상대 회수율은 5성분 모두 93.5~107.7%로 측정되었다. 정밀도 (precision)와 정확도 (accuracy)는 각각 1.9~14.8%와 -8.7~14.8 % 범위 값을 나타냈다. 본 실험방법을 실제 남용자 소변에 적용한 결과 메스암페타민 또는 엑스터시 투약자를 신속하고 정확하게 동시에 확인할 수 있었다.

전복과 천연 식물류 복합물의 항산화 및 알코올대사 효소 활성 (Antioxidant and Alcohol Dehydrogenase Activity of Water Extracts From Abalone Containing Medicinal Plants)

  • This study was performed to evaluate the possible production of a functional beverage derived from abalone and with several plants (AP). Five types of AP composites were prepared having different medicinal plant compositions (AP- I : abalone, garlic, jujube, Chinese matrimony fruit, dried orange peel, licorice root, zinger, honey; AP- II: abalone, garlic, black bean, Chinese matrimony fruit, cornus fruit, licorice root, zinger, honey; AP-III : abalone, jujube, arrow root, milk vetch, dried orange peel, licorice root, zinger, honey; AP-N: abalone, black bean, arrow root, milk vetch, cornus fruit, liquorice root, zinger, honey; AP-V : abalone, garlic, Chinese matrimony fruit, milk vetch, licorice root, zinger, honey). In vitro analysis were performed to examine the antioxidant contents and alcohol dehydrogenase activities of the composites. AP- II had the highest total phenol contents ($28.55{\pm}1.56\;mg/l00\;g$), and AP- V the highest level of flavonoids ($47.61{\pm}1.58\;mg/l00\;g$). At $78.89{\pm}0.16%$, AP- V displayed the strongest electron donating ability followed by AP-II($57.99{\pm}0.21%$) and API ($37.66{\pm}0.20%$). Reducing power was also significantly higher in AP- V. The Hydroxyl radical scavenging and SOD-like activities of all composites were less than 15% and 20%, respectively. At 12.5% alcohol concentration, ADH activity ranged from $114.47{\pm}2.18{\sim}121.39{\pm}4.36%$ and ALDH activity ranged from $100.04{\pm}2.90{\sim}129.54{\pm}4.80%$; AP- I , AP- II, and AP- Vin 12.5% of alcoholic concentration. The composites of AP- I , AP- II, and AP- V, all containing garlic and Chinese matrimony fruit, were significantly stronger than AP-III and AP-N. Finally, also at 12.5% alcoholic concentration, the ALDH activity of AP- V was higher than its ADH activity.
