  • 인체 삽입형 뇌 신경자극기는 소비전력에 있어서 효율적인 구조로 설계되어야 한다. 이들 자극신호는 파형이 단순하고, MCU(micro controller unit)의 대기시간은 실행시간보다 훨씬 긴 특성을 가짐에도 불구하고, 이러한 특성을 고려한 저전력 설계가 되어 있지 않다. 본 논문에서는 자극신호 특성에 기반하는 저전력 알고리즘을 제안한다. 또한 뇌 신경자극기 S/W, NMS(neuro modulation simulation)의 설계 및 구현 결과도 제시한다. 저전력 알고리즘 구현을 위해, 기존 뇌 신경자극기 프로그램의 함수별 수행(running) 시간을 분석하여, 실행(execution) 시간과 대기(waiting) 시간을 도출하였다. 그리고 AM-LPM(active mode-low power mode) 전환시간을 추정하여 저전력 알고리즘 구현에 반영하였다. 본 논문에서 제안하는 저전력 알고리즘은 자극신호의 특성을 이용하여 출력을 다수의 구간으로 분할하고, MCU를 구간별 AM 또는 LPM으로 운용한다. 제안하는 알고리즘의 검증을 위해, 외부 제어프로그램을 개발하여 알고리즘의 동작상태를 확인하였고, 오실로스코프를 이용하여 출력신호의 정확성을 확인하였다. 검증 결과, 제안하는 저전력 알고리즘을 적용할 경우, 기존 뇌 신경자극기 대비 소모전류를 76.31% 감소시킴을 확인 할 수 있었다.

  • This paper deals with a bearing faults localization technique based on holographic approach by visualizing sound radiated from the faults. The main idea stems from the phenomenon that bearing faults in a moving vehicle generate impulsive sound. To visualize fault signal from the moving vehicle, we can use the moving frame acoustic holography [Kwon, H.-S. and Kim, Y.-H., 1998, "Moving Frame Technique for Planar Acoustic Holography," J. Acoust. Soc. Am. Vol. 103, No. 4, pp. 1734${\sim}$1741]. However, it is not easy to localize faults only by applying the method. This is because the microphone array measures noise(for example, noise from other parts of the vehicle and the wind noise) as well as the fault signal while the vehicle passes by the array. To reduce the effect of noise, we propose two ideas which utilize the characteristics of fault signal. The first one is to average holograms for several frequencies to reduce the random noise. The second one is to apply the partial field decomposition algorithm [Nam, K.-U., Kim, Y.-H., 2004, "A Partial Field Decomposition Algorithm and Its Examples for Near-field Acoustic Holography," J. of Acoust. Soc. Am. Vol. 116, No. 1, pp. 172${\sim}$185] to the moving source, which can separate the fault signal and noise. Basic theory of those methods is introduced and how they can be applied to localize bearing faults is demonstrated. Experimental results via a miniature vehicle showed how well the proposed method finds out the location of source in practice.

교통소통 정보기반 신호교차로 운영평가를 위한 혼잡강도 지표 임계값 연구 (Study on threshold values of a intensity-of-congestion measure for operations evaluation at signalized intersections based on traffic flow information)

  • PURPOSES : In this study, analyze the characteristics of IOC indicator 'threshold' which is needed when evaluating the traffic signal operation status with ESPRESSO in various grade road traffic environment of Seoul metropolitan city and derive suggested value to use in field practice. METHODS : Using the computerized database program (Postgresql), we extracted data with regional characteristics (Arterial, Collector road) and temporal characteristics (peak hour, non-peak hour). Analysis of variance and Duncan's validation were performed using statistical analysis program (SPSS) to confirm whether the extracted data contains statistical significance. RESULTS : The analysis period of the main and secondary arterial roads was confirmed to be suitable from 14 days to 60 days. For the arterial, it is suggested to use 20 km/h as the critical speed for PM peak hour and weekly non peak hour. It is suggested to use 25 km/h as the critical speed for AM peak hour and night non peak hour. As for the collector road, it is suggested to use 20 km/h as the critical speed for PM peak hour and weekly non peak hour. It is suggested to use 30 km/h as the critical speed for AM peak hour and night non peak hour. CONCLUSIONS : It is meaningful from a methodological point of view that it is possible to make a reasonable comparative analysis on the signal intersection pre-post analysis when the signal operation DB is renewed by breaking the existing traffic signal operation evaluation method.

  • 본 논문은 TDM 전자교환기의 국간신호 장비인 CCITT R2-MF 수신기(32CH용)의 디지탈 하드웨어 실현에 관한 실험적인 연구이다. MF 검출을 위한 DSP(digital signal Processing)방법은 여러 가지가 있지만 본 수신장치의 요구조건은 특정 주파수의 예민한 주파수 응답 특성과 그의 유무 판별이 필요하므로 DFT(discrete Fourier transform)에 의한 방법이 가장 효율적이다 이의 실현은 실 시간 처리를 위해 "bit-slice micro-processor"인 Am2900 series를 사용, micro-programming 기법을 도입하여 고속처리를 하였다. 그리고 전 시스템 제어를 위하여 Z-80A processor를 사용, 하드웨어 및 소프트웨어의 융통성을 최대한 높임으로서 TDM 전자교환기의 국간 신호장치로서의 활용 가능성을 확인하였다.

지하철 터널 형태에 따른 2.4GHz 대역 무선영상 신호의 페이딩 특성 (Fading characteristics of 2.4GHz band Wireless image signal for the Various Subway Tunnel Structures)

  • 본 논문에서는 지하철용 2.4GHz대 무선영상 전송 신호의 신호 성능을 파악하기 위하여 신호 변화 현상이 크게 발생하는 지하철역 플랫폼을 중심으로 신호 레벨을 측정하여 지하철 역 내부 구조에 따른 페이딩 특성을 분석한다. 측정 결과에 대한 분석 결과, 직선역 구간에서 다수의 강한 다중경로파가 생성되어 곡선역 구간에 비해 신호 레벨의 변화가 심하게 나타났다. 경로손실 지수는 직선역 구간인 신흥역에서 2.5, 곡선역 구간인 판암역과 대동역에서는 각각 1.6와 1.9으로 나타났다. 50% 지점의 페이드 깊이와 넓이는 직선역 구간인 신흥역에서 가장 심하였으며, 레벨 교차율은 짧은 페이드가 빈번하게 발생하는 판암역에서 가장 심하게 나타났다. 따라서 신호 성능에 영향을 주는 페이딩 현상은 곡선역에 비해 직선역에서 더욱 심하게 발생하는 것을 알 수 있다.

  • The objective of this study is to estimate the feasibility of acoustic emission method Jar the internal leak from the valves in nuclear power plants. The acoustic emission method was applied to the valves at the site, and the background noise was measured for the abnormal plant condition. From the comparison of background noise data with the experimental results as to relation between leak flow and acoustic signal, the minimum leak flow rates that am be detected by acoustic signal was suggested. When the background noise level are higher than the acoustic signal, the method described below was considered that the analysis the remainder among the background noise frequency spectrum and the acoustic signal spectrum.

  • Cochannel speaker separation is employed when speech from two talkers has been summed into one signal and it is desirable to recover one or both of the speech signals from the composite signal. Cochannel speech occurs in many common situations such as when two AM signals containing speech are transmitted on the same frequency or when two people are speaking simultaneously (e. g., when talking on the telephone). In this paper, the method that separated the speech in such a situation is proposed. Especially, only the voiced sound of few sound states is separated. And the similarity of the signals by the cross correlation between the signals for exactness of original signal and separated signal is proved.

Joint Subcarrier and Bit Allocation for Secondary User with Primary Users' Cooperation

  • Interference between primary user (PU) and secondary user (SU) transceivers should be mitigated in order to implement underlay spectrum sharing in cognitive radio networks (CRN). Considering this scenario, an improved joint subcarrier and bit allocation scheme for cognitive user with primary users' cooperation (PU Coop) in CRN is proposed. In this scheme, the optimization problem is formulated to minimize the average interference power level at the PU receiver via PU Coop, which guarantees a higher primary signal to interference plus noise ratio (SINR) while maintaining the secondary user total rate constraint. The joint optimal scheme is separated into subcarrier allocation and bit assignment in each subcarrier via arith-metric geo-metric (AM-GM) inequality with asymptotical optimization solution. Moreover, the joint subcarrier and bit optimization scheme, which is evaluated by the available SU subcarriers and the allocated bits, is analyzed in the proposed PU Coop model. The performance of cognitive spectral efficiency and the average interference power level are investigated. Numerical analysis indicates that the SU's spectral efficiency increases significantly compared with the PU non-cooperation scenario. Moreover, the interference power level decreases dramatically for the proposed scheme compared with the traditional Hughes-Hartogs bit allocation scheme.
