Classification of Environmental Industry and Technology Competitiveness Evaluation (환경산업기술 분류체계 및 기술 경쟁력 평가)

  • The purpose of this study is to evaluate the technological competitiveness of the environmental industry with developed countries in order to establish an international market expansion strategy of the Korean environmental industry and technology. In order to evaluate the competitiveness of the environmental industry and technology, core technologies were classified by the environmental industry sectors based on the classification system of the domestic and international environmental industry and technology. After developing the evaluation index data, the Delphi analysis, journal and patent analysis, as well as the export and import analysis were carried out and the standardization analysis was performed on the index data. Moreover, the weights of each evaluation index were calculated using the AHP(Analytic Hierarchy Process) method and the evaluation results of competitiveness of the environmental industry and technology in Korea, the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, and France were derived. As a result of the evaluation, the United States was rated with the highest technological competitiveness in all the environmental industry sectors, while Korea got the lowest technological competitiveness rating compared to the 4 developed countries. In particular, Korea got the lowest level of technological competitiveness in the sector of multi-media environmental management and development for a sustainable social system. Therefore, in order for the Korean environmental industry and technology to enter the global advanced market, it is necessary to strengthen the competitiveness through the development of the fourth environmental industry based on IoT(Internet of Things), cloud, big data, mobile, and AI(Artificial Intelligence), which are currently the country's domestic strengths.

  • This study examined university library services for students, including international students, and the AI-based information services provided by libraries. Additionally, the standards of Korean language education for international students were investigated. Based on the analysis of library services and these standards, a book recommendation system for learning Korean was developed using ChatGPT. The recommendation results from three training datasets were evaluated for recommendation precision. The results of the chatbot's book recommendations based on the 13 test questions were evaluated by recommendation precision. The comparison of the recommendation precision showed that the chatbot using the combined dataset was more successful in recommending all relevant books compared to the individual datasets. This study serves as an example of an effective approach to utilizing artificial intelligence technology for user services in university libraries.

  • Biometric technology using finger veins is receiving a lot of attention due to its high security, convenience and accuracy. And the recent development of deep learning technology has improved the processing speed and accuracy for authentication. However, the training data is a subset of real data not in a certain order or method and the results are not constant. so the amount of data and the complexity of the artificial neural network must be considered. In this paper, the deep learning model of Inception-Resnet-v2 was used to improve the high accuracy of the finger vein recognizer and the performance of the authentication system, We compared and analyzed the performance of the deep learning model of DenseNet-201. The simulations used data from MMCBNU_6000 of Jeonbuk National University and finger vein images taken directly. There is no preprocessing for the image in the finger vein authentication system, and the results are checked through EER.

  • Recently, as digital communication technology is widely applied to the maritime field, large amounts of maritime data are being accumulated. Accordingly, attempts to create new value by applying data science and Artificial Intelligence(AI) technologies are emerging. Typically, Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries has been providing korean e-Navigation service since 2021 based on LTE-Maritime communication network, as well as R&D for creating value-added service through analyzing huge-sized maritime traffic data is underway. By the way, to do any data-based research, legal system, as a research infra, that researchers can get the data whenever they need is essential. This paper looked at types of data in maritime fields, checked related legal system about scientific analysis and utilization. It is confirmed that there are some legal factors which restrict its scientific analysis and utilization, and suggested ways of improvement to boost R&D using maritime data as a conclusion.

  • As the utilization of chatbots grows and the AI market grows, many companies are interested. And everybody is spurring growth by offering chatbot build services so that they can create chatbots. This makes chatbots easier to service on the messenger platform, which is changing the existing application market. In this paper, we present a methodology for designing and implementing existing DB-based applications as instant messenger platform-based applications, and summarize what to consider in actual implementation to provide an optimal system structure. According to this methodology, we design and implement a chatbot that serves as an teaching advisor who provides information to the students in the curriculum. The implemented application objectively visualizes the user's desired information from the user's point of view and delivers it through the interactive interface quickly and intuitively.   • Along with its importance, the real estate market poses risks of various fraudulent activities. Recently, a surge in real estate-related scams, such as lease fraud, has caused great financial damage to many ordinary people. These problems are often caused by the complexity of real estate transactions and information imbalance. Therefore, there is an urgent need to secure reliability and improve transparency in the transaction process. In this paper, to solve this real estate fraud problem, we propose a chatbot system using digital technology and artificial intelligence, especially GPT (Generative Pre-Trained Transformer). This system serves to protect users from fraud by providing them with precautions and confirmations in the lease transaction process. In addition, GPT-based chatbots respond to questions from users in time, contributing to reducing uncertainty in the transaction process and increasing reliability.

  • In an increasingly hyperconnected battlefield, the reliance on battlefield networks and AI-based autonomous weapons systems creates uncertainty and raises ethical concerns. This article explores the responsibility gap in operating autonomous weapons systems, using Robert Sparrow's theory. By analyzing Sparrow's arguments, we propose overcoming the responsibility gap in lethal autonomous weapon systems (LAWS). Our objective is to establish a framework of responsibility that aligns with the evolving battlefield, promoting the development and use of responsible weapon systems.

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the factors that influence the intention to continuously use the RPA program used in the financial industry for those working in the financial industry. In particular, the purpose of this study is to understand the will to accept and the perception of acceptance conflict by considering the characteristics of individuals in the relationship between work and information technology. As a result of the study, it can be confirmed that the RPA system based on intelligent process automation including artificial intelligence should be further strengthened in the transformation of a digitalized enterprise rather than the RPA based on simple task automation that is currently most used. In general, the phenomenon of cognitive dissonance was prominent for the adoption of new technology, but the phenomenon of cognitive dissonance did not appear for the continued use of RPA in the financial industry. In the future in the financial industry, it is thought that the change in the labor organization will be accelerated as the suitability of repetitive tasks and technologies is increased.

One-shot multi-speaker text-to-speech using RawNet3 speaker representation (RawNet3를 통해 추출한 화자 특성 기반 원샷 다화자 음성합성 시스템)

  • Recent advances in text-to-speech (TTS) technology have significantly improved the quality of synthesized speech, reaching a level where it can closely imitate natural human speech. Especially, TTS models offering various voice characteristics and personalized speech, are widely utilized in fields such as artificial intelligence (AI) tutors, advertising, and video dubbing. Accordingly, in this paper, we propose a one-shot multi-speaker TTS system that can ensure acoustic diversity and synthesize personalized voice by generating speech using unseen target speakers' utterances. The proposed model integrates a speaker encoder into a TTS model consisting of the FastSpeech2 acoustic model and the HiFi-GAN vocoder. The speaker encoder, based on the pre-trained RawNet3, extracts speaker-specific voice features. Furthermore, the proposed approach not only includes an English one-shot multi-speaker TTS but also introduces a Korean one-shot multi-speaker TTS. We evaluate naturalness and speaker similarity of the generated speech using objective and subjective metrics. In the subjective evaluation, the proposed Korean one-shot multi-speaker TTS obtained naturalness mean opinion score (NMOS) of 3.36 and similarity MOS (SMOS) of 3.16. The objective evaluation of the proposed English and Korean one-shot multi-speaker TTS showed a prediction MOS (P-MOS) of 2.54 and 3.74, respectively. These results indicate that the performance of our proposed model is improved over the baseline models in terms of both naturalness and speaker similarity.

  • Recently, In line with the recent trend of the fourth industrial revolution, many companies and institutions have been increasingly applying automated technologies using artificial intelligence to various tasks. Particularly, due to the government's 52-hour workweek system, companies are increasingly struggling with manpower management. Therefore, they are interested in RPA (Robotic Process Automation) for office environment automation for efficient manpower management. It is being introduced in the back-office business in credit card companies, bank, insurance. These RPA solutions require AI-based recognition technology, scripting technology, business software API-related technologies, and various solutions such as Automate One, Automation Anywhere, UiPath, and Blue Prism are provided. This paper analyzes and describes the technology of RPA solution, the market trend, and the efficiency of RPA adoption.
