Speech recognition technology is being combined with deep learning and is developing at a rapid pace. In particular, voice recognition services are connected to various devices such as artificial intelligence speakers, vehicle voice recognition, and smartphones, and voice recognition technology is being used in various places, not in specific areas of the industry. In this situation, research to meet high expectations for the technology is also being actively conducted. Among them, in the field of natural language processing (NLP), there is a need for research in the field of removing ambient noise or unnecessary voice signals that have a great influence on the speech recognition recognition rate. Many domestic and foreign companies are already using the latest AI technology for such research. Among them, research using a convolutional neural network algorithm (CNN) is being actively conducted. The purpose of this study is to determine the non-voice section from the user's speech section through the convolutional neural network. It collects the voice files (wav) of 5 speakers to generate learning data, and utilizes the convolutional neural network to determine the speech section and the non-voice section. A classification model for discriminating speech sections was created. Afterwards, an experiment was conducted to detect the non-speech section through the generated model, and as a result, an accuracy of 94% was obtained.
As air combat system technologies developed in recent years, the development of air defense systems is required. In the operating concept of the anti-aircraft defense system, selecting an appropriate armament for the target is one of the system's capabilities in efficiently responding to threats using limited anti-aircraft power. Much of the flying threat identification relies on the operator's visual identification. However, there are many limitations in visually discriminating a flying object maneuvering high speed from a distance. In addition, as the demand for unmanned and intelligent weapon systems on the modern battlefield increases, it is essential to develop a technology that automatically identifies and classifies the aircraft instead of the operator's visual identification. Although some examples of weapon system identification with deep learning-based models by collecting video data for tanks and warships have been presented, aerial vehicle identification is still lacking. Therefore, in this paper, we present a model for classifying fighters, helicopters, and drones using a convolutional neural network model and analyze the performance of the presented model.

In order to determine the amount of explosives that can minimize the vibration generated during tunnel construction using the blasting method, it is necessary to derive the blasting vibration coefficients, K and n, by analyzing the vibration records of trial blasting in the field or under similar conditions. In this study, we aimed to develop a technique that can derive reasonable K and n when trial blasting cannot be performed. To this end, we collected full-scale trial blast data and studied how to predict the blast vibration coefficient (K, n) according to the type of explosive, center cut blasting method, rock origin and type, and rock grade using deep learning (DL). In addition, the correction value between full-scale and borehole trial blasting results was calculated to compensate for the limitations of the borehole trial blasting results and to carry out a design that aligns more closely with reality. In this study, when comparing the available explosive amount according to the borehole trial blasting result equation, the predictions from deep learning (DL) exceed 50%, and the result with the correction value is similar to other blast vibration estimation equations or about 20% more, enabling more economical design.
Objective: This study aimed to investigate whether a deep learning reconstruction (DLR) method improves the image quality, stent evaluation, and visibility of the valve apparatus in coronary computed tomography angiography (CCTA) when compared with filtered back projection (FBP) and hybrid iterative reconstruction (IR) methods. Materials and Methods: CCTA images of 51 patients (mean age ± standard deviation [SD], 63.9 ± 9.8 years, 36 male) who underwent examination at a single institution were reconstructed using DLR, FBP, and hybrid IR methods and reviewed. CT attenuation, image noise, signal-to-noise ratio (SNR), contrast-to-noise ratio (CNR), and stent evaluation, including 10%-90% edge rise slope (ERS) and 10%-90% edge rise distance (ERD), were measured. Quantitative data are summarized as the mean ± SD. The subjective visual scores (1 for worst -5 for best) of the images were obtained for the following: overall image quality, image noise, and appearance of stent, vessel, and aortic and tricuspid valve apparatus (annulus, leaflets, papillary muscles, and chordae tendineae). These parameters were compared between the DLR, FBP, and hybrid IR methods. Results: DLR provided higher Hounsfield unit (HU) values in the aorta and similar attenuation in the fat and muscle compared with FBP and hybrid IR. The image noise in HU was significantly lower in DLR (12.6 ± 2.2) than in hybrid IR (24.2 ± 3.0) and FBP (54.2 ± 9.5) (p < 0.001). The SNR and CNR were significantly higher in the DLR group than in the FBP and hybrid IR groups (p < 0.001). In the coronary stent, the mean value of ERS was significantly higher in DLR (1260.4 ± 242.5 HU/mm) than that of FBP (801.9 ± 170.7 HU/mm) and hybrid IR (641.9 ± 112.0 HU/mm). The mean value of ERD was measured as 0.8 ± 0.1 mm for DLR while it was 1.1 ± 0.2 mm for FBP and 1.1 ± 0.2 mm for hybrid IR. The subjective visual scores were higher in the DLR than in the images reconstructed with FBP and hybrid IR. Conclusion: DLR reconstruction provided better images than FBP and hybrid IR reconstruction.
The existing indoor localization method using Wi-Fi fingerprinting has a high collection cost and relatively low accuracy, thus requiring integrated correction of convergence with other technologies. This paper proposes a new method that significantly reduces collection costs compared to existing methods using Wi-Fi fingerprinting. Furthermore, it does not require labeling of data at collection and can estimate pedestrian travel paths even in large indoor spaces. The proposed pedestrian movement path estimation process is as follows. Data collection is accomplished by setting up a feature area near an indoor space intersection, moving through the set feature areas, and then collecting data without labels. The collected data are processed using Kernel Linear Discriminant Analysis (KLDA) and the valley point of the Euclidean distance value between two data is obtained within the feature space of the data. We build learning data by labeling data corresponding to valley points and some nearby data by feature area numbers, and labeling data between valley points and other valley points as path data between each corresponding feature area. Finally, for testing, data are collected randomly through indoor space, KLDA is applied as previous data to build test data, the K-Nearest Neighbor (K-NN) algorithm is applied, and the path of movement of test data is estimated by applying a correction algorithm to estimate only routes that can be reached from the most recently estimated location. The estimation results verified the accuracy by comparing the true paths in indoor space with those estimated by the proposed method and achieved approximately 90.8% and 81.4% accuracy in two experimental spaces, respectively.
School violence has long been recognized as a social problem, and various efforts have been made to prevent it. In this study, we propose a system that can prevent school violence by analyzing data on the frequency of conversations between students, and identify peer relationships. The frequency of conversations between students in the class was quantified using a rating scale questionnaire, and this data was grouped into the appropriate number of clusters using the K-means algorithm. Additionally, the homeroom teacher observed the frequency and nature of conversations between students, and targeted specific individuals or groups for counseling and intervention, with the aim of reducing school violence. Data analysis revealed that the teachers' qualitative observations were consistent with the quantified data based on student questionnaires, and therefore applicable as quantitative data towards the identification and understanding of student relationships within the classroom. The study has potential limitations. The data used is subjective and based on peer evaluations which can be inconsistent as the students may use different criteria to evaluate one another. It is expected that this study will help homeroom teachers in their efforts to prevent school violence by understanding the relationships between students within the classroom.

Recently, various fault diagnosis studies are being conducted utilizing data from collaborative robots. Existing studies performing fault diagnosis on collaborative robots use static data collected based on the assumed operation of predefined devices. Therefore, the fault diagnosis model has a limitation of increasing dependency on the learned data patterns. Additionally, there is a limitation in that a diagnosis reflecting the characteristics of collaborative robots operating with multiple joints could not be conducted due to experiments using a single motor. This paper proposes an LSTM diagnostic model that can overcome these two limitations. The proposed method selects representative normal patterns using the correlation analysis of vibration and current data in single-axis and multi-axis work environments, and generates residual patterns through differences from the normal representative patterns. An LSTM model that can perform gear wear diagnosis for each axis is created using the generated residual patterns as inputs. This fault diagnosis model can not only reduce the dependence on the model's learning data patterns through representative patterns for each operation, but also diagnose faults occurring during multi-axis operation. Finally, reflecting both internal and external data characteristics, the fault diagnosis performance was improved, showing a high diagnostic performance of 98.57%.

In most cases, optical images have been used as training data of DL (Deep Learning) models for object detection, recognition, identification, classification, semantic segmentation, and instance segmentation. However, properties of 3D objects in the real-world could not be fully explored with 2D images. One of the major sources of the 3D geospatial information is DSM (Digital Surface Model). In this matter, characteristic information derived from DSM would be effective to analyze 3D terrain features. Especially, man-made objects such as buildings having geometrically unique shape could be described by geometric elements that are obtained from 3D geospatial data. The background and motivation of this paper were drawn from concept of the intrinsic image that is involved in high-level visual information processing. This paper aims to extract buildings after classifying terrain features by training DL model with DSM-derived information including slope, aspect, and SRI (Shaded Relief Image). The experiments were carried out using DSM and label dataset provided by ISPRS (International Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing) for CNN-based SegNet model. In particular, experiments focus on combining multi-source information to improve training performance and synergistic effect of the DL model. The results demonstrate that buildings were effectively classified and extracted by the proposed approach.

Numerous deaths and substantial property damage have occurred recently due to frequent disasters of the highest intensity according to the abnormal climate, which is caused by various problems, such as global warming, all over the world. Such large-scale disasters have become an international issue and have made people aware of the disasters so they can implement disaster-prevention measures. Extensive information on disaster prevention actively has been announced publicly to support the natural disaster reduction measures throughout the world. In Japan, diverse developmental studies on disaster prevention systems, which support hazard map development and flood control activity, have been conducted vigorously to estimate external forces according to design frequencies as well as expected maximum frequencies from a variety of areas, such as rivers, coasts, and ports based on broad disaster prevention data obtained from several huge disasters. However, the current reduction measures alone are not sufficiently effective due to the change of the paradigms of the current disasters. Therefore, in order to obtain the synergy effect of reduction measures, a study of the establishment of an integrated system is required to improve the various disaster prevention technologies and the current disaster prevention system. In order to develop a similar typhoon search system and establish a disaster prevention infrastructure, in this study, techniques will be developed that can be used to forecast typhoons before they strike by using artificial intelligence (AI) technology and offer primary disaster prevention information according to the direction of the typhoon. The main function of this model is to predict the most similar typhoon among the existing typhoons by utilizing the major typhoon information, such as course, central pressure, and speed, before the typhoon directly impacts South Korea. This model is equipped with a combination of AI and DNN forecasts of typhoons that change from moment to moment in order to efficiently forecast a current typhoon based on similar typhoons in the past. Thus, the result of a similar typhoon search showed that the quality of prediction was higher with the grid size of one degree rather than two degrees in latitude and longitude.
In the remarkable growth of P2P financial platform in the field of knowledge management, only companies with big data and machine learning technologies are surviving in fierce competition. The ability to analyze borrowers' credit is most important, and platform companies are also recognizing this capability as the most important business asset, so they are building a credit evaluation system based on artificial intelligence. Nonetheless, online P2P platform providers that offer related services only act as intermediaries to apply for investors and borrowers, and all the risks associated with the investments are attributable to investors. For investors, the only way to verify the safety of investment products depends on the reputation of P2P companies from newspaper and online website. Time series information such as delinquency rate is not enough to evaluate the early stage of Korean P2P makers' credit analysis capability. This study examines the credit analysis procedure of P2P loan platform using artificial intelligence through the case analysis method for well known the top three companies that are focusing on the credit lending market and the kinds of information data to use. Through this, we will improve the understanding of credit analysis techniques through artificial intelligence, and try to examine limitations of credit analysis methods through artificial intelligence.
