Leadership and Communication Skills Towards Emotional Intelligence: A Case Study of FPT University in Vietnam

  • As society evolves, people are making more of an effort to learn more about human aspects, one of which is emotional intelligence, a topic on which education experts have traditionally concentrated. This is due to the fact that emotional intelligence has a significant impact on how people think and manage their emotions. On the other side, it promotes the development of expressive ability and aids people in better adapting to life. This study explores the relationship between communication skills, leadership skills, stress management, adaptability, and emotional intelligence of FPT University students to determine the factors that affect students' emotional intelligence. To survey 500 FPT University students, this study used a sample size of 500. Previous studies used a 5-point Likert scale to assess the four skill elements. According to the results, students who completed the survey showed adequate communication skills, leadership qualities, stress management, adaptability, and emotional intelligence. Emotional intelligence is influenced by communication skills, leadership abilities, stress management, and flexibility. This suggests that students who master these four skills have higher levels of emotional intelligence. The outcomes of this study reveal that students have been conscious of Emotional Intelligence since a young age. The affirmations in this research paper will benefit students and young people interested in enhancing complimentary soft skills that boost Emotional Intelligence.

  • 최근 현대인의 영양불균형이 점점 심화됨에 따라 영양결핍과 비만의 위험도가 점점 증가하고 있다. 이에 따라 건강기능식품에 대한 관심이 증가하여 일반인들의 건강기능식품 소비가 증가하고 있지만, 적정섭취량에 비해 영양소를 과도하게 섭취 중이거나 영양제를 먹지만 정작 필요한 영양소를 섭취하지 못하는 경우가 빈번히 나타나고 있다. 이러한 문제를 해소하고자 본 논문에서는 7 일간 사용자가 섭취한 식단을 기반으로 부족한 영양소를 수치상으로 계산하여 개인 맞춤 영양제를 추천하는 시스템을 제안한다.

  • With the advent of the era of the 4th Industrial Revolution, various support policies and programs are being introduced as the promotion of startups related to the 4th industry is promoted as a core policy of the government. Based on major technologies such as Artificial Intelligence(AI), Big Data, Internet of Things(IoT), Blockchain, and Automation leading the 4th industrial revolution, logistics and distribution companies are expanding the range of markets and services provided. The purpose of this study is to examine the current status of startups in the logistics field based on major technologies of the 4th Industrial Revolution, which are rapidly growing at home and abroad, and suggest implications for revitalizing logistics startups through a policy demand survey. As a result of the study, in order to foster domestic logistics startups, we propose policy support for integration of logistics startups, integrated management of information, provision of physical space, network platform, and practical education and mentoring.

Information Distribution of Sport Social Networking Sites: Their Use in Promoting Psychological Well-Being

  • Purpose: With the rapid information distribution of sport-related SNS, sport industry has utilized SNS as technical solution to distribute sport and health-related information. The current study examined the effect of SNS information use for running-specific content on running engagement and psychological well-being. Research design, data and methodology: Data were collected via online survey of participants in marathon events of United States. Descriptive statistics and Chi-square test were conducted to compare demographics and psycho-behavioral outcomes among SNS information users and non-users for running-specific contents. Multivariate hierarchical regression was next employed to examine research hypotheses. Results: A mass-participant running event was used to test seven hypotheses related to the potential role of SNS for running content in promoting running engagement and life satisfaction. In general, findings revealed that use of SNS for running content along with frequency of use can perhaps facilitate running intensity and influence participation in running-related outdoor activities. Furthermore, while overall life satisfaction did not appear to be influenced by use of SNS for running content, there was a demonstrated influence on the individual satisfaction domains. Conclusions: The findings of current study suggest that sport SNS is information distribution media enhancing users' engagement and their six life satisfaction domains. Further implications were discussed.

  • While technologies such as the 4th revolution and artificial intelligence (AI), which create new value through the convergence of intelligent information technology, are becoming hot topics, the beauty industry is rapidly developing and combining information and communication technology to produce beauty items based on smartphones among mobile technologies. As the area of expands, YouTube is forming a network through various means of information. In particular, beauty-related YouTube videos are a field of great interest and popularity among the public. By classifying the makeup characteristics according to the emotional images shown in domestic YouTube videos by emotional image and identifying the characteristics of makeup, the needs for watching YouTube makeup videos are identified. We aim to build trust in the delivery of information about makeup. The emotional images were divided into four types: 'modern', 'natural', 'gorgeous', and cute. Among the domestic makeup YouTubers, Pony, Isabe and Shinnim, Lamuque were selected. By organizing more diverse makeup-related content systematically and creatively, we expect to have a positive influence on k-makeup not only domestically but also overseas. We aim to provide basic data for follow-up research on makeup YouTuber videos in the field of cosmetology and contribute to marketing plans for the development of the beauty content industry and establishment of promotional strategies.

광역적 이동 연무 탐지를 위한 지상 질량 농도를 고려한 적외채널 밝기온도차 경계값 범위 분석 (An Analysis of the Range of Brightness Temperature Differences Associated with Ground Based Mass Concentrations for Detecting the Large-scale Transport of Haze)

  • 2011-2015년 동안 한국 중부 태안과 청주 강내의 배경 관측지점에서 측정한 PM10, PM2.5 질량 농도를 분석하였다. 황사 사례를 제외한 PM10 질량 농도의 계절변동에서 겨울-봄 동안 높은 농도는 서풍 기류에 의한 영향이 반영되고 있으며, 여름에는 북태평양 기단과 잦은 강수로 낮은 수준을 보이고 있었다. 따라서, 일평균 PM10 질량 농도 $81{\mu}gm^{-3}$ (미세먼지 예보 '약간 나쁨' 이상) 이상의 사례도 겨울-봄 동안에 발생이 많으며, 특히 중국 동부 배출원에 가까운 태안에서 더 많은 사례가 발생하고 있었다. 인위적으로 발생한 연무는 입경 $2.5{\mu}m$ 미만 입자의 구성 비율이 높다. 천리안 위성의 밝기온도차 분석에서 대기와 입자가 작은 연무는 $-0.5^{\circ}K$ 이상에서 관측된다. 2011-2015년 동안 태안과 청주 강내에서 관측한 연무 사례일의 PM10 질량 농도와 NOAA 19 위성 밝기온도차를 분석하였다. PM10 질량 농도는 $200{\mu}g\;m^{-3}$ 보다 낮지만, PM2.5/PM10 질량 농도비는 0.4보다 높고 밝기온도차는 $-0.3-0.5^{\circ}K$ 범위에 분포하고 있었다. 그러나, PM10 질량 농도 $190{\mu}g\;m^{-3}$ 이상인 황사 사례의 밝기온도차는 PM2.5/PM10 질량 농도비가 0.4보다 낮고, 밝기온도차는 $-0.7^{\circ}K$ 이하의 범위에 분포하고 있었다. 이러한 연무의 밝기온도차 경계값 범위를 적용한 결과는 MODIS AOD, OMI AI의 에어로졸 분포 범위와 일치하였다.

한국인의 연령과 성별에 따른 식이섬유 섭취 상태 (The Estimated Dietary Fiber Intake of Korean by Age and Sex)

  • 본 연구에서는 최근 구축된 한국인의 상용 식품에 대한 식이섬유 데이터베이스를 사용하여 2001년 국민건강 영양조사 보고서에 나타난 1인 1일 평균 식품 섭취 자료를 토대로 한국인의 연령별, 성별 평균 식이섬유 추정 섭취량을 산출하고 식이섬유의 주요 급원식품군 및 10대 단일 식품급원을 분석하였다. 우리나라 사람들의 연령별 식이섬유의 추정 섭취량 평균치는 1세에서 49세까지는 연령의 증가와 함께 증가하였으나 50세 이후에는 감소하는 것으로 나타났다. 에너지 섭취 기준 식이섬유의 추정 섭취량은 1세에서 64세까지 지속적으로 증가하였다. 한국인의 영양섭취기준의 식이섬유 충분섭취량(12 g/1,000 kcal)의 충족률은 평균적으로 49세까지는 미달되었으며 50세 이후는 충족되었고 미달의 정도는 연령이 낮을수록 심한 것으로 나타났다. 채소류, 곡류, 과실류는 우리나라 사람들에서 연령에 관계없이 식이섬유의 3대 주요 급원식품군이며 이 세 식품군으로부터 섬유 섭취량의 약 75%를 얻고 있었다. 한국인의 식이섬유 섭취에 기여하는 10대 주요 단일식품들의 식이섬유 총 섭취량에 대한 기여비율은 유아기와 노년기에 다른 연령대에 비해 가장 높게 나타나 이 시기의 식품 섭취의 다양성이 낮음을 알 수 있었다. 쌀은 우리나라 유아들과 아동들의 제1의 섬유급원 식품이었고 배추김치와 쌀은 청소년기 이후 노년기까지 우리나라 사람들에서 변함없이 가장 중요한 섬유섭취의 급원임이 확인되었다. 연령대별로 식이섬유의 주요 급원식품의 종류와 순위가 차이를 보였으며 이것은 연령에 따라 식품 기호도가 상이함을 반영한다고 볼 수 있다. 남녀 성별 평균 식이섬유 추정 섭취량은 남성(22.26 g/day 혹은 10.12 g/ 1,000 kcal)이 여성(19.63 g/day 혹은 11.07 g/1,000 kcal)에 비해 절대 섭취량은 높았으나 에너지기준 섭취량은 낮았다. 남녀 모두 식이섬유 섭취에 기여하는 주요 식품군은 차이가 없었으며 식이섬유의 단일 급원식품은 남녀 모두 배추김치와 쌀이 1, 2위였으며 여성들은 남성에 비해 과실류 식품들이 섬유급원에서 더 높은 우선순위를 차지하여 남녀별 식품 기호도의 차이를 반영하였다. 본 연구의 결과는 향후 한국인의 식이섬유 섭취기준을 설정하는데 보다 현실적인 참고자료로서 활용될 수 있다고 본다.

일부 대학신입생들의 B형 간염에 대한 지식과 실천 (Knowledge and Practice of College Entrants Toward Hepatitis B)

  • In order to designate a present status necessary for establishment of preventive measures and guidelines of health education against hepatitis B in the course of secondary school education, knowledge and practice toward hepatitis B virus infection was surveyed by a questionnare method on total of 4,855 college entrants in the academic year of 1987 and analyzed the data collected using IBM PC(Trigem 88-II) with SAS package program. About two per cent of college entrants had past history of HBV infections not showing any difference between both sexes and geographical regions. About one third(33.7%) of total students had tested hepatitis B surface antigen(HBsAg), only 4% had tested hepatitis B surface antibody(HBsAb) and vaccination rate amounted to 24.6%, one fourth of total subjects. Both serological tests and vaccination were most commonly performed during adolescence, showing higher rates in female students than in male students. The rates also seemed to be higher in those from urban cities than those from rural cities. Students who had acquired correct knowledge that hepatitis B was infected by virus were amounted to 78.5% of college entrants, and remaining 21.5% had misunderstood that rickettsia, bacteria, fungi or parasites were causal agents. Female students were better aware of the causal agents than male students but there was no difference between places of growth. As for mode of transmission of HBV, 51.5% of male students and 47.7% of female students had correct knowledge. A very few student had known that fact that HBV was transmitted by body fluids such as tear(6.9%), nasal discharge(10.1%) and semen or vaginal secretion(19.2%) and majority(75%) of students had misunderstood that hepatitis B virus would be transmitted per os through food ingestion. Approximately one half(48.9%) of college entrants had knew correctly whom to be vaccinated. Approximately one half of the students knew that hepatr;ma(57.8%) and liver cirrhosis(57.4%) might complicate with hepatitis B virus infection, whereas 12.0% of the students responded that bronchitis was one of the complications of hepatitis B infection. In summary of the above results, we highly recommend that health education program for eradication of hepatitis B virus infection should be introduced in curricula of secondary school education in this country.

창업농교육 참여대학생의 계획적행동이 기업가정신과 창업의지에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Planned Behavior of University Student who Participates in Education for Starting Agricultural Business on Entrepreneurship and Will to Start the Business)

  • 미래 농산업을 이끌 농업생명과학계 대학생 및 농학계 전문대 학생들의 기업가정신과 창업의지 함양 문제는 매우 중요한 연구 대상이다. 그러나 농업은 전통적으로 사업의 규모가 단순하고 규모가 적은 소농을 중심으로 발전하여 온 탓에 새로운 창의적인 기술이나 혁신적 경영행태에 기반을 둔 기업가정신이나 창업 및 벤처에 대한 논의는 거의 없었다. 농산업 분야에서 창업교육은 농업 선진국에서도 거의 강조되지 않았다. 제 4차 산업혁명 시대의 도래에 따른 ICT와 인공지능 기반의 스마트농업은 우리 농산업의 새로운 성장잠재력으로 부상하고 있다. 이에 따라 농산업 부문에서도 창업농과 벤처농업에 대한 관심이 확대되고 있다. 이에 본 연구는 영농창업이나 벤처농업의 창업설계 교육과정에 참여한 대학생들의 계획적 행동이 기업가정신, 그리고 창업의도에 미치는 영향 요인을 추출하여 실증적인 분석을 실시하였다. 새롭게 농산업 분야에 참여하는 신규 창업 경영인은 농산업에서 경쟁 할 수 있는 새로운 기술혁신과 창조적 비즈니스 혁신활동을 개발해야 한다.

고등학생 흡연자와 비흡연자의 1일 영양소 및 간식 섭취 (The Daily Intakes of Nutrients and Snacks of High School Smokers and Non-Smokers)

  • This study investigates the relationship of smoking on daily intake of nutrients and snacks in the Chungnam and Daejeon high school students. Up to date scientific nutrition education and counseling programs in the regular school system is needed for a professional nutrition education teacher. The primary objective of this study was to provide useful information to nutrition education teachers. A survey was conducted with 400 high school students in the Chungnam and Daejeon areas. 381 out of 400 questionnaires were analyzed with SPSS 12.0K. The subjects were composed of 49.8% male, 50.1% female and 40.9% regular high school students, 59.1% business high school students and smokers 43.1%, non-smokers 56.9%. 43.4% of smokers had been smoking since middle school. On analysis of daily nutrient intakes, 16 out of 19 nutrients except animal calcium, Vitamin A and Vitamin C were much more consumed by the smoking group than the non-smoking group non-significantly. Especially vegetable fat and Vitamin E were higher in the smoking group than the non-smoking group (p<0.05). The intake ratio of carbohydrates: protein: fat was similar in the two groups (smoking group 55:15:29, nonsmoking group 56:15:28). Intakes of Vitamin B1 and potassium in comparison with the Korean dietary reference intakes(KDRI) were under 50% in both groups. However, sodium was taken over 200% compared to KDRI in both groups. Intakes of Vitamin C in the smoking group were as low as 76.5% in comparison to KDRI. Smokers need to increase the intakes of Vitamin C considering that smokers need to intake Vitamin C two times than non-smokers. Nutrient intakes from snacks in the smoking group were higher than the non-smoking group. Nutrients that originated from snacks which took over 20% among daily nutrient intakes were 12 nutrients(energy, fat, carbohydrate, calcium, P, Fe, K, Vitamin $B_1$, Vitamin $B_2$, Vitamin C, Vitamin E, dietary fiber) in the smoking group compared to 7 nutrients(energy, vegetable protein, fat, carbohydrate, calcium, Vitamin $B_2$, Vitamin C) in the non-smoking group. The smoking group was significantly paying more money for snacks each month than the non-smoking group was(p<0.01). Periods of consumption were irregular in the smoking group(p<0.05) and the smoking group was used to taking snacks in the morning compared to the non-smoking group. The smoking group preferred sweets and high calorie food over other snacks in comparison of the non-smoking group. The nonsmoking group had better eating habits than the smoking group.
