An Empirical Study on the Evaluation of Supplier Selection Factors according to the Product Standardization - Focused on the Stationery and Office Machine Suppliers - (제품 표준화 수준에 따른 공급업체 선정 요인별 중요도 평가에 관한 실증적 연구 - 사무용품 및 사무기기 공급업체를 대상으로 -)

  • The primary research objects of this study is to evaluate an importance of supplier selection factors as an index according the level of product standardization and to present the evaluation model for supplier selection. For this purpose, this study adopts the AHP method to calculate the importance of supplier selection factors. In this study 16 factors which affect on the supplier selection decision making are classified into three factors-product supply related factor, product related factor, management ability related factor. Results also indicate that standardized products are much more dealt by means of on-line compare to customized products. It means the buyer opportunities is potentially an increase in the amount of current supplier re-evaluation, which may lead to new suppliers being considered more often.

  • In 1995 of May, the Ministry of Construction and Transportation (NOCT) developed the First Nation-wide Master Plan of GIS. It is set up in response to an increasing and various demands on spatial informations. Until now, a set of diverse projects related to spatial information have been proposed and executed. However, cost-benefit analysis of investment and decision making for alternatives have not been carried out appropriately because scientific evaluations for obtaining efficiency and economical validity of investment have been deficient. Optimum decision making for projects based on itemized priority order using effect or cost of proposed alternative plan is a fundamental expedient for demonstration of propriety of projects and enhancement of efficiency of investment. From such understanding, this paper applied the analytic hierarchy process (AHP) technique to the cost required to construct a GIS so that analyze the weight of each cost factor.

A Study on the Consumer Choice Criteria based on Facility Purpsoe for Multi-Mixed Complex Medical Care Facility Development (의료복합시설 개발을 위한 시설용도별 이용자 선택기준에 관한 연구)

  • The multi-mixed complex medical care facility consisting of mainly hospital and other associated facilities such as retail, office, accommodation, healthcare services, and so on, is currently recognized as a new segment in the real estate market. This study intends to identify the customer choice criteria for the development of multi-mixed complex medical care facility. Based on literature review and expert consultation, the 3 criteria with 12 sub-criteria for customer choice have been defined. And the AHP methodology has been implemented for the development of relative weight of those criteria depending on the type of facility including 'medical facility', 'supporting facility', 'healthcare service facility' and 'other ancillary facility'. Research findings indicated the implication for the optimal combination of facility development based on the customer choice criteria controlled by facility. Accordingly, this research intends to provide the guidance toward the development of multi-mixed complex medical care facility.

  • The innovation is an important element controlling national economic growth and the competitive power reinforcement of the company. The developed nations concentrate interest on upbringing and investment in knowledge intensive industry and advanced technology base industry for national competitive power reinforcement. I support in particular it as Korean representative industry in the case of the advanced technology base industry positively in the government. Though a patent can become the important competition predominance element of the company by such an advanced technology base industry, this and the proof study in the country to be concerned with are the facts that are not enough now. As for the article of the book, what kind of difference there is in importance by IT and BT industry distinction comment on current events value factors of the patent valuation; of the study is aimed. I derived an importance factor among factors shown in the valuation model of the patent valuation organization and an existing precedent study for comparison analysis in the study and used it. In addition, it was analysis hello it utilized AHP technique, and what kind of difference patent value evaluation important factors showed by IT and BT industry distinction.   • With the rapid development of information and communication technologies, the boundaries of markets become blurred, and with the increasing uncertainties and risks of the future, competition among global companies becomes more intense. Accordingly the enterprises are considering or already taking cooperation strategies with enterprises in a competitive relationship as well as cooperative enterprises in a high correlation with one's own company as a plan to actively cope with changes in management environments. Thus, a cooperation strategy is an important element for the strengthening of the competitiveness of enterprises as well as the survival of the enterprises. However most preceding studies on cooperation strategies focus only on the effects of the properties of cooperation enterprises on the selection of cooperation partner enterprises and the business performance of the enterprises. Therefore, this study carried out an empirical analysis of the motivation and purpose of the construction of cooperation strategies by enterprise and what differences there are in factors to which importance is attached in selecting partners. In addition, this study analyzed the differences depending on the size: large and small enterprises and depending on the industry: electronics and chemical industries during AHP using a pairwise comparison technique.

Study on the GIS Based Environmental Assesment Techniques for Environmental Friendly Road Route Plan (환경친화적인 도로노선 계획을 위한 GIS 기반 환경성 평가기법 연구 - 도로노선대 선정방법 개발 -)

  • This study intends to develop a GIS-based environmental assesment technique for environmental friendly road route plan using a spatial analysis function. After embodying an impact range based on the analysis of factors which cause the environmental damage by the road construction, a literature survey on a diverse grading cases and legal regulations was conducted. As a quantitative model for the spatial analysis, AHP was selected. As the environmental assessment, 8 items such as topography & geology, animals & plants, soil ecology, water quality, air quality, noise, land use, and landscape were selected. and then finally classified into three-grades using a pairwise comparison of the alate collected by a questionnaire surveying, weighting values were applied to there 8 items. The highest weight value, the grade 1 among eight was 0.191 for animals & plants. As the result of verifying the above method for the case region, the most environment-friendly road route could be generated.

  • Structural flood defensive alternatives have been evaluated based on economic feasibility, riskiness of safety and sustainability. Social problems associated with structural flood defensive alternatives such as dams, flood control channels, etc. are currently issued. The evaluation items of policy presented in KDI(2001) are should be modified in order to resolve the social problems. Hence, this study conducted a questionnaire survey of public servants, researchers, and engineers to obtain how to determine evaluation items for policy assessment and to compute their weights in the analytic hierarchy process. This study also compared the weights of the items in KDI(2000) with the weights from the survey in this study. The policy assessment weight was estimated higher than KDI(2000). This result suggests that social awareness increases and the analysis of policy becomes important for selecting optimal structural defensive alternatives.

Application of AHP to the Selection Factors of Kiosk as Technology-Based Self-Service

  • In this study, we proposed a hierarchy process analysis model for Kiosk known as technology-based self-service, In addition, we deduced the selection factors based on the literature review and calculated the weight of the factors. To estimate the priorities of selection factors, we used the data collected from consumers who have used Kiosks at cafe or fast food restaurant. The results of the study showed that the convenience among the factors in the first stage, consisted of safety, design, convenience, informativity, and responsiveness, revealed the most important factor in both cafe and fast food restaurant. Synthetic calculation of the first stage factors and the second stage factors showed that simple procedure was the most important factor. The results of comparing the priorities between cafe and fast food restaurant showed that consumers assessed their priorities differently in simple procedures, nutritional information, and fast menu provision.

  • The standardization of weapon system parts is one of the elements of parts management and is an important factor for reducing the cost of acquiring and maintaining a weapon system, enhancing its reliability, improving interoperability, alleviating parts obsolescence problems, improving logistics efficiency, and strengthening the military's combat readiness. This study examined how to manage parts of domestic R&D weapon systems, overseas imports weapon system parts, and various commercial parts from a standardization perspective, and to study parts management methods for standardizing parts in the future. This system was used to achieve systematic part standardization in a military weapon system. To this end, this study investigated what elements are used to standardize weapon system parts. The importance and weight of each element were calculated using the AHP (Analytic Hierarchy Process), one of the decision-making techniques, and the design stage standards using the part selection method were studied. Through this, the selection process of standard parts, which has been made according to the experience and subjective judgment of designers and personnel, was improved to propose a systematic and objective method of standardizing weapons parts.

  • The present remodeling makes almost no difference from rebuilding as all the building materials are removed remaining frame structure only. And, in case of vertical extension of building, higher construction cost and safety problem occur. The Ministry of Land, Transport and Maritime Affairs, therefore, recommends customized remodeling that can be made in light of the resident' needs such as parking lot, elevator, bathroom, and room for the alternative of remodeling of vertical extension of building. The purpose of this study is to present real data that can be referred to the constructor's decision making before starting the remodeling, by investigating and analyzing the weight and importance between evaluation factors for customized remodeling at the completed time of remodeling. Accordingly, the factors were divided into environmental factor, social factor, and economical factor, and the survey was performed for the residents living in remodeling houses. In addition, for the professionals, AHP (Analytic Hierarchy Process) has been carried out for the priority in the customized remodeling. For environmental factor, the level of importance made difference from that before remodeling, except parking level. For social factor, every item, including psychological satisfaction and community satisfaction, made difference. For economical factor, the recognition level of importance in rent made difference, except sale price of the factor for price satisfaction. In case of the factor for cost satisfaction, it was checked that construction cost and administration cost both could be considered important. As a result of AHP, the most importantly emphasized item was construction cost, and sale price, administration cost, residence structure, and parking lot were followed by priority in order. This study could contribute to reliably settle down customized remodeling by giving reasonable and substantial help from the analysis of the differences in the customized remodeling items before/after the remodeling.
