  • Response to nerve stimulation platform for implementing measures to detect finger movement has been functioning as an important factor. The finger movement of the muscle response to nerve stimulation and sensing Actuator for the H/W development is needed. In addition, a low power embedded CPU based on the top was used. H/W configuration portion of the isolation power, constant current control, High impedance INA, amplifier parts, and the stimulus mode and the Micro-control the status of current, AD converter Low Data obtained through the processing system is implemented.

  • This paper deals with the design and development of the remote control and measurement systems by Embedded Web Server. The remote control and measurement systems are implemented by Cortex M-3 ARM micro-controller. The user application software for the control and measurement system user, and the firmware software of device drivers for peripherals such as a digital input/output device, AD/DAC(Analog to Digital/Digital to Analog Converter), LCD, and temperature/humidity sensor are developed in Eclipse environment using Codesourcery C, Java script, and HTML. The experimental result of the proposed control and measurement systems implemented in this paper is evaluated via real-time experiments, which works well as designed.

  • Nowadays, there are many innovative products in the pro-audio market thanks to advanced IT technology, DSP is very important technology to process high quality audio signal in SR(Sound Reinforcement) system. Digital audio technology that converged with IT technology can give new user-experience. In this paper, we present a new digital crossover system for active speakers using DSP and network technology. The prototype of crossover module consists of various audio process module such as filters, delay, phase controls and also it provides user to remote monitoring and remote control features by internet connection.

Design of RF Front-end for High Precision GNSS Receiver (고정밀 위성항법 수신기용 RF 수신단 설계)

  • This paper describes the development of RF front.end equipment of a wide band high precision satellite navigation receiver to be able to receive the currently available GPS navigation signal and the GALILEO navigation signal to be developed in Europe in the near future. The wide band satellite navigation receiver with high precision performance is composed of L - band antenna, RF/IF converters for multi - band navigation signals, and high performance baseband processor. The L - band satellite navigation antenna is able to be received the signals in the range from 1.1 GHz to 1.6 GHz and from the navigation satellite positioned near the horizon. The navigation signal of GALILEO navigation satellite consists of L1, E5, and E6 band with signal bandwidth more than 20 MHz which is wider than GPS signal. Due to the wide band navigation signal, the IF frequency and signal processing speed should be increased. The RF/IF converter has been designed with the single stage downconversion structure, and the IF frequency of 140 MHz has been derived from considering the maximum signal bandwidth and the sampling frequency of 112 MHz to be used in ADC circuit. The final output of RF/IF converter is a digital IF signal which is generated from signal processing of the AD converter from the IF signal. The developed RF front - end has the C/N0 performance over 40dB - Hz for the - 130dBm input signal power and includes the automatic gain control circuits to provide the dynamic range over 40dB.

  • We developed a convenience-featured Web browser which is intended to enhance Web users' convenience. The integrated convenience functions are VPV(Visited Page Viewer), APV(Aligned Page Viewer), USC(User Specified Capture), and VAC(Video and Audio Converter) which is the most important feature of FLV(FLash Video file) in UCC (User Created Contents). The four functions are considered ad the most needed functions to the Web users and we referred to the opinion of frequent and advanced Web users. We addressed important algorithms and techniques in terms of the implementation of the above four functions. The implementation methods based on the MDI application using rendering technique same as in Internet Explorer 6.0 are shown with codes. The results of implementation is compared with the survey conducted on 134 Computer Science and Multimedia Engineering major students. All four integrated functions are considered to be useful.

  • In this paper we will deal with a calibration method for low cost motion capture system using psd(position sensitive detection) optical sensor. To measure the incident direction of the light from LED emitted marker, the PSD is used the output current ratio on the electrode of PSD is proportional with the incident position of the light focused by lens. In order to defect the direction of the light, the current output is converted into digital voltage value by opamp circuits peak detector and AD converter with the digital value the incident position is measured. Unfortunately, due to the non-linearly problem of the circuit poor position accuracy is shown. To overcome such problems, we compensated the non-linearly by using least-square fitting method. After compensated the non-linearly in the circuit, the system showed more enhanced position accuracy.

  • 본 논문에서는 SDR (Software Defined Radio)시스템을 위한 디지털 IF (Intermediate Frequency)수신기를 구현하였다[1][2]. 구현된 수신기의 하드웨어 구조는 AD변환부, PDC(Programmable Down Converter)부, DSP (Digital Signal Processing)부분으로 이루어졌다. AD변환부는 Analog Devices사의 AD6644를 이용하여 아날로그 신호를14bit의 디지털 신호로 변환된다. PDC부분은 Intersil사의 HSP 50214B를 이용하여 14bit 샘플 된 IF(Intermediate Frequency)입력을 혼합기와 NCO(Numerically Controlled Oscillator)에 의해 기저대역으로 다운 시키는 역할을 한다. PDC는 CIC (Cascaded Integrator Comb)필터, Halfband 필터 그리고 프로그램할 수 있는 FIR필터로 구성되어 있다. 그리고 PDC부분을 제어하고 PDC부분에서 처리할 수 없는 캐리어, 심볼 트래킹을 위해 Texas Instrument사의 16비트의 고정소수점 DSP인 TMS320C5416과 Altera사의 FPGA를 사용하였다. 그러므로 중간주파수 대역과 기저대역 간의 신호변환을 디지털 신호처리를 수행함으로써 일반적인 아날로그 처리방식보다 고도의 유연성과 고성능 동작이 가능하고 시간과 환경 변화에 우수한 동작 특성을 제공한다.

  • 본 눈문에서는 뒤틀림, 응력, 압력[1], 토크, 가속도 등의 물리적인 동적 현상을 측정하여 수집된 데이터를 처리하기 위한 신호처리(Signal Processins) 기능이 결합되어 넓은 용도로 활용할 수 있는 센서 신호 수집 시스템을 구현하였다. 구현된 시스템은 data acquisition board 의 하드웨어와 소프트웨어로 나누어 볼 수 있다. 하드웨어의 구성은 아날로그부, 디지털부, 그리고 시스템 인터페이스 처리부로 되어 있다. 아날로그부에서는 센서신호를 받아서, PGA (Programmable Gain Amplifier)[2]와 Op-Amp를 사용하여 signal conditioning 처리하여 8차 Lowpass Filter 로 보낸다. Filtering 된 신호는 ADC (Analog to Digital Converter) 가 내장되어 있는 PIC(3) microcontroller로 보내져 AD변환과 디지털 신호 처리를 한다. 처리된 신호는 RS232 인터페이스를 통해 호스트 컴퓨터로 보내 사용자가 분석할 수 있도록 한다. 또한 LCD display 실시간으로 확인, 분석할 수 있으며 동시에analog output에서 센서신호의 특징을 분석 할 수 있도록 한다.

Development of an Automatic Body Temperature Measuring System for Dairy Cattle (젖소의 자동 체온 측정 시스템 개발)

  • In this paper the development of an automatic body temperature measuring system which can be attached to the milking machine has been studied. Since the disease is highly related to the body temperature of the cattle, early detection of the abnormal temperature would prevent the severe problems which may occur in dairy farms. The electronic component AD590 is used as a temperature sensor for the system. The device is highly robust against the noise since the output signal is the current. So it can be applied to the long distance sensing. The resolution of the signal is $0.1{\circ}C$ and the current is 10 mV. Also the A/D converter is designed for interfacing the sensor with a computer. A temperature measuring experiment using the developed system has been done for measuring the temperature of human beings and the system was proven to be useful for measuring the body temperature of the dairy cattle properly.

A study on Development of 300m Class Underwater ROV (300m급 수중ROV 개발에 관한 연구)

  • A 300 meter class ROV(CROV300) is composed of three parts : a surface unit, a tether cable and an underwater vehicle. The vehicle controller is based on two processors : an Intel 8097-16-bit one chip micro-processor and a Texas Instruments TMS320E25 digital signal processor. In this paper, the surface controller, the vehicle controller and peripheral devices interfaced with the processors are described. These controllers transmit/receive measured status data and control commands through RS422 serial communication. Depth, heading, trimming, camera tilting, and leakage signals are acquired through the embedded AD converters of the 8097. On the other hand, altitude of ROV and lbstacle avoidance signals are processed by the DSP processor and periodically fetched by the 8097. The processor is interfaced with a 4-channel 12-bit D/A converter to generate control signals for DC motors an dseveral transistors to handle the relays for on/off switching of external devices.
