Drive of induction motor using three-phase inverter and voltage type PWM single-phase converter (전압형 PWM 단상 컨버터와 3상 인버터를 이용한 유도전동기의 운전)

  • This paper deals with a three-phase Pulse width Modulation(PWM) voltage souse inverter-induction motor drive with a single-phase PWM converter. The single-phase system has the pulsating instantaneous power with twice the frequency of the ac source. The power pulsation generates the dc voltage pulsation of the converter. In result, the waveforms of the inverter output current and voltage are distorted. The steady-stare operations of the system are analyzed by employing a state-spare method Such everything confirmed it's validity throughout simulation and experiment.

  • In this paper, we presents sliding surface design techniques using the virtual state. This sliding surface has same dynamic of nominal system and permit application with other controller. If select initial value of the virtual state properly, problem of reaching phase disappears. And applied in AC servo motor's speed control to show performance of proposed sliding mode control techniques.

  • This paper describes the design process and the experimental results of a fuzzy logic controller to control the tip position of a fixible-link manipulator, directly driven by a AC motor, with a large payload. The joint angle fuzzy logic controller is designed without a costly nonlinear system analysis of the flexible manipulator and the AC motor drive system. The state variables for the fuzzy logic controller are joint angle, joint velocity, link deflection, and link deflection velocity. The simulation and experimental results show that the joint position control is not satisfactory when the controller is designed under the assumption of no link flexibility and that stable joint position control and link vibration suppression can be cahieved with the fuzzy logic controller suggested in this paper.

  • The voltage-source inverters are normally equipped with an electrolytic capacitor in their DC link, however, the electrolytic capacitor has several disadvantages such as increasing size, limiting converter life and reliability. Therefore, several approaches for removing the DC link capacitor have been studied by the authors. This paper proposes a new voltage-source inverter without DC link components. To reduce waveform distortion of the AC source current, the current-controlled PWM-rectifier with di/dt feedback is introduced. The di/dt feedback gain and LC parameters are investigated by calculation for a 0.75kW induction motor driven by this inverter. The calculated AC source currents maintain nearly sinusoidal waveforms with a unity power factor.

  • In this paper, a single-phase to three-phase PWM converter topology using six switches only for low cost induction motor drive is proposed. The converter topology is of lower cost than the conventional one, which gives sinusoidal input current, unity power factor, dc output voltage control and bidirectional power flow In addition, the source voltage sensor is eliminated by controlling the deviation between the model current and the system current to be zero. The performance of the proposed converter has been demonstrated through the computer simulation.

  • The powers used in the robot drive motor system are mostly DC sources such as batteries. Even AC powers in some systems are generated from DC sources by the inverter. It is can be forecasted that the DC-link communications will be widely used invarious industrial application. In this paper a novel BLDC motor drive system by using DC-link communications is proposed. The characteristic of this system is the communication only needs 2 DC lines. There are not additional lines to translate the reference signals and the reliability of the system is enhanced especially in some badly circumstance. The number of lines can be least when applied in the multi motor control system and the slip ring design can be simplified when applied as rotation machine. The reasonableness of proposed motor system is clarified by the PSIM simulation and the hardware prototype.

  • In many applications of inverter system, it is desirable to obtain an AC output voltage with variable frequency and amplitude. For the variable-speed AC motor drive, the system is one major area of application for the variable-frequency inverter. V ariable~voltage variable-frequency sinusoidal output in three-phase inverter is possible by employing the techniques developed. In this paper, the technique of particular harmonics elimination(PHE) in three-phase PWM inverter-output waveforms is introduced. The required switching patterns are determind on personal computer. Results are stored in look-up table in EPROM and used to control the switching of the inverter devices. The experimental results indicate that the loss in an induction motor is minimized to a degree by using this algorithm. The proposed PWM pattern is effective not only to the induction motor but also to the other electromagnetic machine such as Voltage Regulator, UPS.

  • This paper describes a design method of electromagnetic interference (EMI) filter for pulse-width modulation (PWM) inverter-fed AC drives used for home appliances such as washing machine and air conditioner. The generating and coupling mechanisms of the conducted EMI for AC drives are first investigated. The design procedure of the EMI filter based on the EMI separation principle is then presented. Experiments we carried out for the PWM inverter-fed induction motor drive system and it is shown that the results satisfy the EN55014 EMI regulation.

  • 본 논문에서는 전기자동차의 1회 충전 주행거리 연장 및 연비 향상을 위하여 주요 운전 영역에서의 평균효율 극대화를 할 수 있는 다단 변속 회로를 제안하였다. 제안한 회로는 Thyristor를 이용한 직 병렬 변속회로로 구성되어 있다. Thyristor의 특성으로 인해 과도상태 없고 끊김없는 변속이 가능하여 추가적인 스너버회로가 필요 없으며, 낮은 스위치손실로 인해 AC전동기 시스템의 고효율 및 경량화를 기대할 수 있다. 제안한 다단변속 시스템의 타당성을 검증하기 위하여 1kW 급 시작품 1대를 AC전동기와 연계하여 변속 동작을 검증하였다.

  • Recently, G.A studies have studied and demonstrated that artificial intelligence like G.A networks, G.A PI controller. The design techniques of PI controller using G.A with the newly proposed teaming algorithm was presented, and the designed controller with AC servo motor system. The goal of this paper is to design the AC servo motor using genetic algorithm and to control drive robot. And in this paper, we propose a genetic algorithms approach to find an optimal or near optimal input variables for genetic algorithm PI controller. Our experimental results show that this approach increases overall classification accuracy rate significantly. Finally, we executed for the implementation of high performance speed control system. It is used a 16-bit DSP, IMS320LF2407, which is capable of the high speed and floating point calculation.
