유럽의 NFR-90 함정사업과 향방

  • NATO 프리깃함(NFR-90) 계획의 붕괴를 1990년대 프로그램의 손상이라고 언급하는 것은 과장된 말이 아니다. 많은 시간, 열정 및 예산이 사용되었으며, NFR-90이 개혁의 개념을 가지기 시작했다는 관점에서 참가국의 희망이 고조되어 왔다. 따라서 1989년 이 계획의 중단은 상당한 대이변이었다. NFR-90의 주된 실패 요인은 전함 설계의 실상을 무시한 것이었다. NFR-90 사업의 참가국은 미국, 캐나다, 영국, 프랑스, 이탈리아, 서독, 네덜란드 및 스페인 등 8개국이었다

Characterization and gene expression of heat shock protein 90 in marine crab Charybdis japonica following bisphenol A and 4-nonylphenol exposures

  • Objectives Heat shock protein 90 (HSP90) is a highly conserved molecular chaperone important in the maturation of a broad spectrum of protein. In this study, an HSP90 gene was isolated from Asian paddle crab, Charybdis japonica, as a bio-indicator to monitor the marine ecosystem. Methods This work reports the responses of C. japonica HSP90 mRNA expression to cellular stress by endocrine disrupting chemicals (EDCs), such as bisphenol A (BPA) and 4-nonylphenol (NP) using real-time. reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction. Results The deduced amino acid sequence of HSP90 from C. japonica shared a high degree of homology with their homologues in other species. In a phylogenetic analysis, C. japonica HSP90 is evolutionally related with an ortholog of the other crustacean species. The expression of HSP90 gene was almost distributed in all the examined tissues of the C. japonica crab but expression levels varied among the different body parts of the crabs. We examined HSP90 mRNA expression pattern in C. japonica crabs exposed to EDCs for various exposure times. The expression of HSP90 transcripts was significantly increased in C. japonica crabs exposed to BPA and NP at different concentrations for 12, 24, 48 and 96 hours. The mRNA expression of HSP90 gene was significantly induced in a concentration- and time-dependent manner after BPA or NP exposures for 96 hours. Conclusions Taken together, expression analysis of Asian paddle crab HSP90 gene provided useful molecular information about crab responses in stress conditions and potential ways to monitor the EDCs stressors in marine environments.

Heat Shock Protein 90 Regulates the Stability of c-Jun in HEK293 Cells

  • The 90-kDa heat shock protein (HSP90) normally functions as a molecular chaperone participating in folding and stabilizing newly synthesized proteins, and refolding denatured proteins. The HSP90 inhibitor geldanamycin (GA) occupies the ATP/ADP binding pocket of HSP90 so inhibits its chaperone activity and causes subsequent degradation of HSP90 client proteins by proteasomes. Here we show that GA reduces the level of endogenous c-Jun in human embryonic kidney 293 (HEK293) cells in a time and dose dependent manner, and that this decrease can be reversed by transfection of HSP90 plasmids. Transfection of HSP90 plasmids in the absence of GA increases the level of endogenous c-Jun protein, but has no obvious affect on c-Jun mRNA levels. We also showed that HSP90 prolongs the half-life of c-Jun by stabilizing the protein; the proteasome inhibitor N-benzoyloxycarbonyl (Z)-Leu-Leu-leucinal (MG132) blocks the degradation of c-Jun promoted by GA. Transfection of HSP90 plasmids did not obviously alter phosphorylation of c-Jun, and a Jun-2 luciferase activity assay indicated that over-expression of HSP90 elevated the total protein activity of c-Jun in HEK293 cells. All our evidence indicates that HSP90 stabilizes c-Jun protein, and so increases the total activity of c-Jun in HEK293 cells.

수도(水稻) 생육(生育)에 따른 $Sr^{90}$ 흡수(吸收)에 관한 연구(硏究) (Studies on the Uptake of $Sr^{90}$ with the Growth of Rice Plant)

  • 핵분열(核分烈) 생성물중(生成物中)에서도 농업환경(農業環境)의 주요(主要) 오염원중(汚染源中)의 하나인 $Sr^{90}$의 수도(水稻) 생육시기(生育時期)에 따른 흡수양상(吸收樣相)과 수도체내(水稻體內) 분포상황을 조사하고자 몇가지 답토양(畓土壤)으로 pot 시험을 수행하였다. 전(全) 수도체중(水稻體中)의 $Sr^{90}$흡수량(吸收量)은 생육초기부터 일정하게 증가하였으나 수도(水稻)의 건물중(g)당 $Sr^{90}$함량은 이앙(移秧)후 90일까지는 생육(生育)이 경과함에 따라 오히려 감소하였으며 이후 등숙기에 다소 증가하였다. Ca과 $Sr^{90}$의 수도체내(水稻體內) 함량은 모두 종실(種實)에 비하여 잎과 줄기에서 높았으며 생육에 따라 Ca은 줄기에서는 감소하고, 종실(種實)에서는 증가하였으나 $Sr^{90}$은 잎에서는 증가(增加)하고 줄기와 종실(種實)에서는 감소하였다.

저온 디젤 연소에서 T90 온도가 배기가스에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of T90 Temperature on Exhaust Emissions in Low-temperature Diesel Combustion)

  • This study is to investigate the effect of the distillation temperature in ultra low sulfur diesel fuel on exhaust emissions in the low-temperature diesel combustion with 1.9L common rail direct injection diesel engine. Low temperature diesel combustion was achieved by adopting an external high EGR rate with a strategic injection control. The engine was operated at 1500 rpm 2.6 bar BMEP. The 90% distillation recovery temperature (T90) was $270^{\circ}C$ and $340^{\circ}C$ for the respective cetane number (CN) 30 and 55. It was found that there exists no distinctive discrepancy on exhaust emissions with regards to the different T90s. The high CN (CN55) fuels follow the similar trend of exhaust emissions as observed in CN30 fuels' except that high T90 fuel (CN55-T340) produced higher PM compared to low T90 fuel (CN55-T270). This may come from that high T90 plays an active role in aggravating the degree of fuel-air mixture preparedness before ignition.

슬괵근의 길이 변화에 따른 근력 평가에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Evaluation of the Muscle Strength according to the Change of the Hamstring Muscle Length)

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze the changes of the muscle strength and length according to the changes of evaluation postures. Subjects of this study were 13 male and 13 female students. 6 evaluation postures were selected for this study(K90H90, K90H45, K90H0, K70H90, K70H45, K70H0 ; K90=knee $90^{\circ}$ flexion, K70=knee $70^{\circ}$ flexion, H90=hip $90^{\circ}$ fleion, H45=hip $45\circ}$ flexion. H0=hip $0^{\circ}$ ). The peak torque and hamstring muscle length(from fibula head to ischial tuberosity) were measured at each postures. The peak torque level was evaluated by make use of the KIN-COM. The results were as follows : 1. The peak torque in male was significantly increased with changes of hip flexion angle but not in female(($90^{\circ}\;>\;45^{\circ}\;>0^{\circ}$). 2. The hamstring length and peat torque in male and female was significantly changed according to the alteration of evaluation postures.

광대역 90° 위상 변이기의 등가 회로 설계 (Equivalent Circuit Design of Broadband 90° Phase Shifter)

  • 본 논문에서는 마이크로스트립 선로를 이용하여 구조가 간단하고 광대역 특성을 갖는 $90^{\circ}$ 위상 변이기를 설계하고 LTCC 공정을 이용하여 제작하였다. 이 위상 변이기는 두 개의 한 쪽 끝이 접지된 $90^{\circ}$ 전송 선로 사이에 $180^{\circ}$ 전송 선로를 연결한 구조를 갖는다. 각 선로의 어드미턴스 행렬을 결합하여 제안된 $90^{\circ}$ 위상 변이기에 대한 설계 공식을 유도하고, 이를 적용하여 중심 주파수 5.75 GHz에서 대역폭 4.2 GHz, ${\pm}2^{\circ}$의 위상 편차를 갖는 광대역 $90^{\circ}$ 위상 변이기를 설계, 제작하였다.

  • Currently, carbon-fiber reinforced plastics(CFRP) are widely used in both space and civil aircraft due to their superior stiffness and strength to weight ratios compared to conventional metallic materials. This paper is to study the effects of curvature and stacking sequence on the penetration characteristics of composite laminated shell. And were performed to investigate the penetration characteristics of composite laminated shells by the oblique impact. They are stacked to [0$_3$/90$_3$]s, [90$_3$/0$_3$]s and [0$_2$/90$_3$/0]s, [90$_2$/0$_3$/90]s their interlaminar number two and fore. They are manufactured to varied curvature radius (R=100, 150, 200mm and $\infty$). When the specimen is subjected to transverse impact by a steel ball, the velocity of the steel ball was measured both before and after impact by determining the time for it to pass two ballistics-screen sensor located a known distance apart. In general, the critical penetration energy interface decrease and slope angle on the impact surface increased. [0$_3$/90$_3$]s and [0$_2$/90$_3$]s specimens higher than [90$_3$/0$_3$]s and [90$_2$/0$_3$/90]s specimens.

저역통과 여파기 감쇠를 갖는 90° 하이브리드 특성에 관한 연구 (A Design of 90° Hybrid Coupler with Low Pass Filter Attenuation)

  • 본 논문에서는 90$^{\circ}$ 하이브리드 결합기에 저역통과 여파기 특성을 결합하여 전력분배와 하모닉 저지특성효과를 보여주고 있다. 일반적인 90$^{\circ}$ 하이브리드 결합기는 위상차를 갖고 전력을 분배, 합성하는 데에만 쓰이고 있기 때문에 비선형 소자와 결합함으로써 생기는 하모닉 성분을 억제하려면 여파기를 따로 설계해야 하는 단점이 있다. 그래서 본 논문에서는 90$^{\circ}$ 하이브리드 결합기에 저역통과 여파기 특성을 결합함으로써 위상차와 전력분배는 물론 여파기 특성인 감쇠효과를 이용하여 하모닉 성분을 크게 감소시킬 수 있는 구조를 제시하였다.

  • 본 논문에서는 중심주파수가 2GHz인 광대역 평형증폭기를 설계 및 제작 하였다. 본 논문에서는 $90^{\circ}$ Hybrid Branch-Line Coupler 와 Three-Arm Branch $90^{\circ}$ Hybrid Coupler의 특성을 비교하여, 광대역 특성을 나타내는 Three-Arm Branch $90^{\circ}$ Hybrid Coupler를 이용한 평형증폭기를 설계 및 제작하였으며, 제안된 증폭기는 대역폭이 480MHz이며, VSWR은 1.06 이하이고, 이득은 15.47dB의 특성을 보였다.
