본 논문에서는 VDL 모드-2 규격을 따르는 송신기와 수신기의 구조 및 설계방법 그리고 개발한 모뎀의 성능시험 결과에 대해 기술한다. VDL 모드-2에서 송신기 필터는 올림 코사인 필터를 사용하고 수신기에서는 일반 저역 통과 필터(LPF)를 사용(비 정합필터)하기 때문에 ISI 경감 효과는 없으나 스펙트럼 특성은 더 좋다. 이는 정합필터를 적용했을 경우보다 1~2 dB 정도의 BER 성능은 저하되나 협 대역 통신에서 이웃 채널에 간섭을 최소화하는 것이 더 중요하기 때문이다. 송신기에서 변조신호 생성 시 발생되는 아날로그 방식의 단점(I/Q 이득 불균형, DC 오프셋 등)을 최소화하기 위해 디지털 방식으로 생성하였으며 수신기도 디지털 IF 샘플링 기법을 통하여 디지털 하향변환기를 적용하였다. 본 논문은 기 제안된 일부 구조 및 알고리듬을 포함하며 모뎀 구성에 필요한 전반적인 구조와 설계 방법 그리고 모의실험 결과가 추가되었다. 개발된 모뎀은 VDR 장비에 통합되어 각종 기능 실험과 환경시험을 거친 후 지상통신시험을 실시하였고 비행통신시험결과 시속 870 km/h로 310 km까지 메시지 송수신이 정상적으로 이루어짐을 확인하였다.

Several 8-cycloalkoxychrysin analogs were synthesized from 6-benzyloxy-5,8-dihydroxyflavone and cycloalkanols in 2 steps and we evaluated their inhibitory activities against NO production from LPS-induced RAW 264.7 cells. Among tested analogs, two analogs with cyclopentyl substructure (796 and 798) showed strong inhibitory activity against NO production.

Transmission performances of direct detection-based 100-Gb/s modulation formats are investigated and compared for metro area optical networks. The effects of optical signal-to-noise ratio sensitivity, chromatic dispersion, cross-channel nonlinearity, and transmission distance on the performance of differential 8-ary phase-shift keying (D8PSK), differential phase-shift keying plus three-level amplitude-shift keying (DPSK+3ASK), and dual-carrier differential quaternary phase-shift keying (DC-DQPSK) are evaluated. The performance of coherent dual-polarization quadrature phase-shift keying (DP-QPSK) with block phase estimation and coherent DP-QPSK with digital differential detection are also presented for reference. According to our analysis, all three direct detection modulation formats could transmit a 100-Gb/s signal over several hundred kilometers of a single-mode fiber link. The results also show that DC-DQPSK outperforms D8PSK and DPSK+3ASK, and the performance of DC-DQPSK is comparable to that of coherent DP-QPSK with digital differential detection. The maximum transmission distance of DC-DQPSK is over 1,000 km, which is enough distance for metro applications.

본 논문에서는 Ungerboeck가 설계한 TCM과 Divsalar가 제안한 다중화 지수(k＝2)의 다중 트렐리스 변조 (Multiple trellis-coded modulation)을 최적의 부호기 설계를 통하여 상태수의 증가에 따라 대역폭과 전력이 제한된 환경에서 부호화 이득을 얻을 수 있는 조건들을 제안하였다. 해석적 기법의 부호기 설계를 통하여 최적의 트렐리스 부호기를 간단히 구성하였으며, 복호는 비터비 최우복호(MLSE)를 적용하였다. QPSK와 8PSK에서 TCM 시스템에서 상태수가 2상태, 4상태, 8상태로 증가함에 따라 다중화 지수(k=2)의 MTCM과 TCM의 성능을 비교하였으며, 상태수가 매우 작아서 TCM의 트렐리스 선도에 병렬천이가 있을 경우 가우시안 채널에서 MTCM 시스템은 대역폭의 확장없이 TCM 시스템보다 우수한 부호화 이득을 얻을 수 있다.

The 16- and 32-state Trellis-coded M-ary 4-dimensional (4-D) orthogonal modulation scheme with a frequency-reuse technique have been investigated. Here, 5 coded bits form a rate 4/5 convolutional encoder provide 32 possible symbols. Then the signals are mapped by a M-ary 4-D orthogonal modulator, where each signal has equal energy and is PSK modulated. In the M-ary 4-D modulator, we have employed the vectors which is derived by the optimization technique of signal waveforms in a 4-D sphere. This technique is usedin maximizing the minimum Euclidean distance between a set of signal poits on a multidimensional sphere. By combinig trellis coding with M-ary 4-D modulation and proper set-partitioning, we have obtained a considerable impeovement in the free minimum distance of the system over an AWGN channel. The 16-state scheme obtains coding gains up to 5.5 dB over the uncoded two-independent QPSK scheme and 2.5 dB over the two-independent 2-D TCM scheme. And, the 32-state scheme obtains coding gains up to 6.4 dB over the uncoded two-independent QPSK schemeand 3.4 dB over the two-independent 2-D TCM scheme.

본 논문에서는 프로그램-가능한(programmable) 소프트웨어 무선(software radio)$^{[1]}$ 디지털 통신을 위한 연구로, ASK(Amplitude Shift Keying), FSK(frequency Shift Keying), 그리고 PSK (Phase Shift Keying) 변조$^{[2]-[4]}$를 DSP(Digital Signal Processor)를 사용하여 프로그램-가능한 소프트웨어(알고리즘)로 구현하였다. 세개 의 서로 다른 변조 방식들, ASK, FSK, 그리고 PSK를 하나의 DSP에 구현하여 선택적 변조가 가능하도록 하였다. 사용된 DSP는 모토롤라(Motorola) 사의, 24-비트, 40 MHz에서 20 MIPS(Million Instruction per Second)로 동작하는 DSP56002$^{[5]-[6]}$이고, A/D (Analog to Digital) 와 D/A(Digital to Analog) 변환기는 크리스털(Crystal)사의 16-비트 그리고 최대 샘플링(sampling) 주파수 50 kHz인 CS4215 코덱 칩(codec chip)$^{[8]}$ 이 사용되었다.

Near-infrared(NIR) reflectance spectroscopy was employed to qualify various ploymorphs. We collected 8 potential polymorphs forms of Medicine T for this study. Near-infared spectra of the powder samples contained in glass vials were obtained over the wavelength region of 1100-1750nm. There were the peak around 1560nm in the 6 spectra among 8 spectra. Principal component analysis(PCA) has been performed to examine the qualitative difference of 8 polymorphs PC space. (omitted)

2-Phenyl-1, 8-naphthyridin-4-ones had been synthesized for their cytotoxic activity. Substituted acetophenone was treated with NaH and diethyl carbonate to give ethyl benzoylacetates, which was reacted with substituted 2-aminopyridine and PPA to yield 2-phenylpyridopyrimidine-4-ones. These compounds was heated at $350^\times$C in liquid paraffin to afford final compounds, 2-phenyl-1 , 8-naphthyridin-4-ones.
