펄스 레이저 증착법에 의한 YBCO 박막증착과 이중모드 공진기의 제작 (Fabrication of Novel Dual Mode Resonator Using Superconducting Thin Film Grown by Pulsed Laser Deposition)

  • Dual mode ring resonators(DMRR) have been fabricated using laser ablated $YBa_2Cu_3O_{7-x}$ superconducting thin films. The transition temperature of YBCO thin films were 85 - 88 K and the film thicknesses were about 5,000 $\AA$. Dual mode ring resonators were patterned by standard photolithography process and wet-etching. Then two-layer metal thin films (Ti/Ag) have been deposited for the ground plane on the back side of substrate by e-beam and thermal evaporation. The input/output feedline angles of each resonator were $60^{\circ}$, $100^{\circ}$, $180^{\circ}$. A network analyzer was used for testing the performance of the resonators in the frequency range of 6-13 GHz at 77 K.

  • In this paper, InP-based HBTs have been optimally designed by numerical simulation and fabricated by the self-aligned process. The structure of HBT was designed in terms of the current gain*f$_{max}$ for the base and f$_{T}$*f$_{max}$ for the collector. The designed structure produced the current gain of about 50 and the cutoff frequency and the maximum oscillation frequency of 87GHz and 2940Hz respectively. In addition, we present a study of the vertical and lateral etching of InP with the mask sides parallel to the principal crystallographic axes, [0101 and (001). This etching characteristics arc used to fabricate self-aligned HBT structures with reduced parasitic effects.s.s.s.

  • This paper proposed a novel chip type ceramic dielectric antenna by using the advanced meander line technique that the radiational metals are formed on the face of ceramic dielectric(8 ${\times}$ 4 ${\times}$ 1.5 mm, alumina) and both facses of substrate(1.0 mm thickness, FR-4). The performance of the antenna model has a good agreements between measurements and computed results. Resultly, it has a 10 dB return-loss bandwidth(2.4~2.4835 GHz) and 1.7 dBi measured radiation gain for Bluetooth application. The proposed antenna model can overcome the problems of the radiation gain from the small antenna's size.

  • In this paper, the active integrated antenna(AIA) using a wideband printed dipole antenna and a balanced amplifier is designed and fabricated. The proposed active printed dipole antenna has characteristics of easy matching, wide bandwidth and higher output power To feed balanced signal to printed dipole, a Wilkinson power divider and delay lines are used. The measured result shows that, at 6 GHz center frequency, the impedance bandwidth is 22 % (VSWR < 2), 3 dB gain bandwidth is 28 %, the maximum gain is 14.77 dBi, and output power at P1 dB point is 23 dBm.

  • We design the local oscillator system of the 100 GHz band radio receiving system for a cosmic radio observation. We use the YIG oscillator with digital driver which is the main oscillator. This oscillator has a good frequency and phase stability at some temperature variation, and the easy computer aided control characteristics. This total system designed to two subsystem, first is the oscillator system include YIG oscillator, tripler, harmonic mixer and triplexer etc., second is the PLL system to supply the precise and stable local oscillator frequency to mixer. The proposed local oscillator system in this paper can be use a single or multi pixel receiver because this system can be lock the local oscillator frequency automatically using PC.

고온초전도 박막을 이용한 두 고리형 공진소자의 고주파 특성 (Microwave performance of High Tc Superconducting Double Ring Resonator)

  • We investigated a double ring resonator(DRR)device to improve the resonating Q value of a superconductor resonator. To make a DRR device, we made a large area YBCO film on a MgO substrate by pulsed laser deposition(PLD). Thetransition temperature was 88 K and the film was uniformly deposited. We also deposited 500$\AA$SrTiO$_{3}$on the YBCO thin film to protect the superconducting properties from degradation. The loaded Q value was measured as 50000 from simulation and as 2000 from experiment near 10GHz at 77K.

  • A 5Gbps LiNb $O_3$ optical phase modulator was packaged and described. A APE(annealed proton exchange) method was employed for the optical waveguide and the electrode of ACPS (asymmetric coplanar strip) type was formed by electro-plating on LiNb $O_3$ fort applying microwave signal. The resulted phase modulator exhibited a single mode at a 1550nm wavelength and Its modulation bandwidth, Insertion loss and driving voltage showed 7$^{GHz}$, 3. $O^{dB}$ and 6V. respectively.y.

  • This paper presents a signal processing method for calibrating an antenna array to solve the inaccuracy of Direction of Arrival(DOA). Using reference data quantifying amplitude and phase distortion levels for each angles, we compensate each radar array’s amplitude and phase distortion. The proposed method is applied to the Bartlett, Capon and MUSIC algorithms, Using 77 GHz Frequency Modulated Continuous Wave(FMCW) Long Range Radar(LRR) signal, we experimentally demonstrate the performance improvement after the proposed compensation.

  • 본 논문에서는 대구경북과학기술연구원에서 개발한 77GHz FMCW ((Frequency Modulation Continuous Wave) 충돌방지 레이더 테스트 시스템에 대하여 소개한다. FMCW 레이더 개발에 적용된 기능 및 구현에 대하여 소개한다. 개발된 시스템은 RTS (Radar Test System)과 연동하여 성능을 검증하고, 차량에 장착하여 실제 주행시험을 실시하였다. 개발된 시스템은 150m의 거리까지 검출이 가능하며, 1024~8192point FFT를 적용하여 1km/h, 0.5m의 속도 및 거리 분해능을 제시하고 있다.

  • In this paper, we design the hardware platform and implement the embedded software based on the FPGA and the DSP for the automotive 77GHz FMCW radar system. This embedded software is built into the DSP as the multi-tasking architecture to support the basic target detection algorithm and the Ethernet link. The designed GUI(Graphic User Interface) provides ability to adjust parameters associated with the radar performance, to monitor signal processing results, and to download the raw received signal. The designed platform can be used to develop the optimal detection algorithms for the various applications.
