  • In this paper, we studied on dual reflector adjusted to monopulse antenna system. As a result, when the efficiency of main reflector is more than 70%, The size of reflector is 30 wavelength of maximum frequency and minimum frequency gain is 37.9dBi, and Maximum frequency gain is 38.6dBi. Also, when a radius is D and Focus-distance is $F_e$, a scheme for efficiency improvement of Sub Reflector is to increase the Focus-distance to Diameter Ratio. In this case, Cross polarization in Far field improved and spherical spreading loss in circumference of reflector reduced. The influence of Radiation pattern followed by the side displacement of feed antenna(at $x_sy_s$) is decreased, it is confirmed that performance of scanning is improved.

  • Design and characteristic improvement of existing folded dipole antenna is presented to adopt W-CDMA(1.885~2.170 GHz) wideband antenna radiators. The antenna structure has +/- 45 degrees dual polarization. In order to overcome the narrow bandwidth and low gain characteristic typical of the microstrip antenna, double layered structure was employed. The antenna achieved below - 20 dB reflection coefficients each ports, - 20 dB of port isolation, above 7 dBi of gain, providing evidence that the proposed design can be used in the W-CDMA service frequency band antenna.

  • In this paper, a shorting pin and slot-loaded microstrip patch antenna is designed and fabricated. A shorting pin and slots are used for harmonic suppression on an inset fed antenna. A shorting pin and slot properties are analyzed by cavity model of the rectangular patch and the characteristics of the designed antenna are described. The designed antenna provides a gain of 7 dBi at the fundamental frequency, 5.8 GHz. In the second and third harmonic frequencies, the proposed antenna has gain suppression properties of -3.3 dB and -14.3 dB at each harmonic frequency, respectively.

  • In this paper, a CPW fed slot antenna with novel broadband feed structure is presented. To enhance the impedance bandwidth of the slot antenna we proposed the broadband feed structure of new bow-tie slot which is combined with four λ/2 rectangular radiation slot and inductively coupled. The measured 10 dB impedance bandwidth is about 60 %(5.2∼9.4 GHz) and the simulated antenna gain is about 6 dBi at 7.36 GHz.

  • In this paper, we propose and fabricate the dual-band microstrip patch antenna with parasitic patch for S-DMB(Satellite-Digital Multimedia Broadcasting) and ITS (Intelligent Transport System) services. The measured - 10 dB bandwidth and the minimum return loss is 300 MHz and - 27 dB for S-DMB, 600 MHz and -17 dB for ITS, respectively. It is noticed that the measured and simulated results are agreed well. The S-DMB antenna has conical beam pattern in the vertical plane and has omni-directional beam pattern in the horizontal plane. The conical beam pattern has the maximum gain about 4.2 dBi when ${\theta}$ is $45^{\circ}$ at the center frequency of 2.6 GHz. The ITS antenna has directional beam pattern in the vertical plane that has maximum gain about 6.4 dBi when ${\theta}$ is $0^{\circ}$ at the center frequency of 5.8 GHz.

  • In the paper, MIMO antenna for LTE 13 band, LTE 7 band wireless communication service is proposed. The proposed antenna is designed where on the top of FR-4(${\epsilon}_r=4.4$, thickness=-.8mm). In proposed structure, two Planar Inverted F Antennas (PIFAs) using meander and folded structure are symmetrically designed for the miniaturization. The isolation between two antennas was also improved by using two slits on the ground plane. The isolation values of the fabricated antenna exhibits -18 dB, -13dB at LTE 13 and LTE 7 band, respectively. The average gain and efficiency are - 4.1 dBi, 41% on LTE 13 band, -1 dBi, 81% on LTE 7 band, respectively. Thus the proposed antenna can be applied to the LTE system.

  • In this paper, a wideband power efficient 2.2 GHz - 4.9 GHz Medium Power Amplifier (MPA), has been designed and fabricated using $0.8{\mu}m$ SiGe BiCMOS process technology. Passive elements such as parallel-branch spiral inductor, metal-insulator-metal (MIM) capacitor and three types of resistors are all integrated in this process. This MPA is a two stage amplifier with all matching components and bias circuits integrated on-chip. A P1dB of 17.7 dBm has been measured with a power gain of 8.7 dB at 3.4 GHz with a total current consumption of 30 mA from a 3 V supply voltage at $25^{\circ}C$. The measured 3 dB bandwidth is 2.7 GHz and the maximum Power Added Efficiency (PAE) is 41 %, which are very good results for a fully integrated Medium PA. The fabricated circuit occupies a die area of $1.7mm{\times}0.8mm$.

  • This paper presents the basic characteristics of a 5 element dipole array antenna which has a four parastic element and one driving element at the center of the circular array. The coupled integral equations for the unknown current distributions on dipole elements are derived and solved by applying Galerkin's method of moments. The numerical results show that the highest power gain of 7.8 dBi is obtained at radius of d = 0.3lλ when two short circuited parastic element neighbors. In order to verify the theoretical analysis, the radiation pattern is compared with Preston's results.

To obtain sufficient bandwidth in VSWR<2, the T-slot is inserted on the patch, the coaxial probe source is used. The measured result of fabricated antenna obtained 350MHz or about $7.62\%$ bandwidth in VSWR<2 referenced to the center frequency, the gain of 5.25${\~}$6.70dBi. The experimental 3-dB beam width is shown to be broad across the pass band in azimuth and elevation at $80.32^{\circ}$ and $83.88^{\circ}$, in several.

  • In this paper, a dual-fed small ICS repeater antenna with high isolation is designed, fabricated, and measured. Bandwidth and gain are optimized by changing the stub lengths near main patch and power divider, and also by changing the size of parasitic patch. To improve the isolation characteristic of the antenna, a dual-feeding method is applied in designing the antenna. The fabricated antenna has a VSWR less than 2, a gain over 7 dBi, and an isolation between the donor and the server antennas less than -65 dB from 1,920~2,170 MHz for 3G mobile communication.
