Six sigma has been the most influential management innovation program since 1996 in Korea. As a result of successful implementation of 6 sigma, there have been a number of dramatic quality improvement cases. However, no empirical study of 6 sigma implementation study has done especially in the service industry of Korea. This article reviews status of finance companies which implemented 6 sigma programs in Korea and then demonstrates the relationship between 6 sigma problem solving tools such as analysis of variance and graph techniques, etc and project success and operational performance. Customer survey tools, process analysis, and documentation tool are identified as influential tools on project success. Tools of measure steps, customer survey tools, and documentation tool are found as influential tools on operational performance.

This paper purports to investigate the statistical basic principles through "TRIZ-used 6-sigma integrated activity design" and further, to raise "the importance of measuring technical innovative activities based on 6-sigma integrated design methodology by organization". This paper intends to investigate how the activities of the best conditions, which are necessary for the stage of 6-sigma design, are chosen in the TPM-based 6-sigma integration activities. And it will examine the options, when used together with other technique, in the probability statistical methodology. Through the combination of the situations which are chosen when activity techniques, which are mostly used for production and technology, and 6-sigma integration activities are used together, it intends to practically use as the basic data for company standards.

In 1999, Six Sigma was introduced into Korea and after that it had general influence on company-wide management system. Quality Circles apply the various quality problem solving techniques such as QC 7 Tool, New QC 7 Tool, and statistical methods to rationalization, improvement in the shop floor. This paper empirically investigates the effects of Six Sigma on Quality Circles by analyzing the difference of problem solving technique's use. The number of teams employed in this study is 342, which participate in National Quality Circles Contest from 1997 to 2002 in Korea.

It is important to estimate the magnitude of settlement and the time of primary consolidation in geotechnical engineering projects. For these purposes, site explorations and laboratory tests are usually performed. However, the mechanical properties determined from laboratory tests on the samples obtained by different sampling techniques show different trends. In this study, three types of consolidation test were carried out on the soil samples obtained by three different sampling techniques (76mm tube, 76mm piston, and block samples), to verify the effect of sample disturbance on consolidation properties. It was found that sampling methods have influence on the $\varepsilon$ - log $\sigma$'$_{v}$ relationship. While insignificant difference of compression indices from the samples obtained by different sampling techniques was observed in compression region, these values showed a different trend in precompression region. The values of $c_{v}$ and k of block samples had a tendency to be larger than those of piston and tube samples. At consolidation pressure larger than $\sigma$'$_{p}$, however, these properties became similar regardless of sampling methods. The block and piston samples gave slightly higher values of $C_{a/}$ $C_{c}$ than tube samples. In the results of I $L_{EOP}$ and CRS test, it was observed that the values of $\sigma$'$_{p measured}$/$\sigma$'$_{p best estimated}$ of Yang-San clay decreases when strain becomes larger than 1.0% and that precompression strain of block samples is in the range of 1.5~2.0% while those of piston and tube samples are 1.75~3.75%. It was also shown that the values of $\sigma$'$_{p}$ of block samples exceed those of piston and tube samples by about 6~10%.6~10%.%.%.%.%.

본 연구는 병원간호사의 항암화학요법 제제의 투약안전 체계를 분석하여 투약안전 문제점을 개선하기 위한 6시그마 기법을 적용한 방법론적 연구이다. 연구 결과 함암화학요법 제제 투약의 문제점은 과정, 간호사, 환경 관련의 3가지 요인으로 분석되었으며 임상 현장에서 개선 가능성과 효과가 가장 높은 '약물에 대한 지식과 수행능력의 부족'과 '간호사 대상의 약물 교육 부족' 에 대한 개선 활동을 진행하였다. 개선안으로 제시된 간호사의 항암화학요법 제제 투약안전 교육의 효과 검증을 위한 교육 전 후의 지식과 수행 정도는 통계적으로 모두 유의한 차이를 나타냈다. 간호사의 항암화학요법 제제 투약안전 교육 후 개선 사항을 유지하기 위해 관리 지표, 관리 방법 등에 대한 관리계획서 작성으로 개선 활동을 종료하였으며, 5단계 연구 진행은 투약안전을 목표로 한 간호실무 개선에 의의가 있다.

The service industry is becoming greater importance in the current economy. The service quality has become an important competitive factor in service industry. Until now, 6 sigma method has well accomplished in manufacturing industry. 6 sigma method has been applied to the service industry to improve service quality, but it has not been reported that 6 sigma method is a successful method for service industry to improve service quality. In this paper, we suggest a MAVIC model to improve service quality. It is a model which is combined with advantages of a SERVQUAL model and 6 sigma method. We has proved its effect with applying a MAVIC model to real service techniques.

Enterprises are continuously trying management innovation activities for survival. Among representative management innovation activities in domestic manufacture enterprise, which are TPS, 6 sigma, Lean 6 sigma etc. Many enterprises through these reform activity have gotten good result. However, these techniques have merits and demerits according to circumstance of enterprise. Specially, there are a lot of difficulties in medium and small size enterprises. In this research, We introduce Lean-SMAIS Method for medium and small size enterprises that is consists of the merit of lean 6 sigma and software(which is called ProEye). We prove Lean-SMAIS method is useful by applying medium and small size enterprise A company.

대형 할인점 공사는 반복적 프로세스에서 발생하는 다양한 성공 및 실패요소를 파악하여 이의 개선방안을 후속 대형 할인점 공사 프로세스에 적용하여 성과향상을 모색할 수 있는 기법의 적용이 절실히 요구된다. 따라서 본 연구는 6시그마 기법을 대형 할인점 공사의 프로세스 개선에 접목하여 시공성과 향상을 꾀할 수 있는 합리적 방안을 모색하기 위해 수행되었다. 우선 6시그마의 개념과 추진절차에 관한 문헌연구를 실시하였으며, 최소 5년 이상의 대형 할인점 공사 경력자로 이루어진 팀을 구성하여 대형 할인점 공사의 프로세스 개선을 위해 6시그마 기법을 적용하였다. 또한 프로세스 개선방안을 3개 대형 할인점 공사에 적용하여 시공성과를 분석하였다. 본 연구에서 제시된 6시그마 기법을 대형 할인점 공사에 적용해 본 결과, 동일유형 사례 적용률이 향상되었으며, 공사 현장별로 $10{\sim}20$일의 공기단축 효과, 실패사례 예방으로 인한 재작업 감소와 품질 향상, 안전/품질 개선효과가 발생하였다. 따라서 6시그마 기법은 반복적 인 프로세스를 지닌 대형 할인점 공사에 적용 가능할 뿐만 아니라, 시공성과를 향상시키는데도 유용함을 확인할 수 있었다.

6 시그마의 취약점을 보완하기 위한 방법론으로 고려되는 것이 트리즈(TRIZ)이다. 6 시그마가 일하는 방식 즉 고객의 요구사항을 바탕으로 문제를 파악하는 방법이라면 트리즈는 생각하는 방식, 즉 문제를 해결하는 사고의 과정이다. 본 연구에서는 트리즈 방법론을 사용하여 6 시그마의 문제가 Define-Measure-Analyze- Improve-Control 단계를 통해 해결하는 것과 같이 Define-Analyze-Generate-Evaluate - Verify 단계를 통해 냉장고 온도 검사방법을 개선하는데 적용하여 보았다.

오늘날 고객의 요구는 보다 더 다양해지고 있고, 시장 환경이 급속히 변화함에 따라 기업의 모든 활동은 고객중심으로 이루어지고 있다. 최근 제품 및 서비스의 품질 향상을 위해 변화혁신 활동을 추진한 기업이 늘어나고 있는 실정이다. 본 연구는 도시가스 공급시설을 효율적으로 보수하기 위하여 6시그마 기법을 이용하여 공급시설 건전성에 영향을 주는 핵심인자를 도출하였으며, Risk 인자는 정량적인 평가를 통하여 시그마 값을 산출하였고, 근본원인 및 해결안을 도출, 새로운 프로세스를 적용하여 통계적 공정관리를 실행하였다. 도시가스 공급시설의 안전관리는 위험을 정량화하여 통계적인 공정관리를 통하여 산포를 줄이고, 품질관리 비용을 제거해서 효율적인 경영관리가 가능하며, 6시그마 이용 기법의 정착과 효율적인 운용의 확산을 통해 과학적인 안전관리가 가능할 것으로 기대된다.
