  • In this paper, we designed and implemented a cavity bandpass filter combined with a cross-coupling equalizer structure to enhance Group delay for 5G mobile network repeater, which can replace the SAW (Surface Acoustic Wave) type bandwidth filter used in the existing mobile communication system. Using the 3D EM simulation tool (HFSS), the resonance frequency, the coupling coefficient between resonators, and external quality coefficient between resonators were calculated. Based on this, a 12th bandpass filter was constructed to have attenuation characteristics of more than 20dB at the edge end of both sides of the band with a metal cavity structure with a frequency band of 3500MHz to 3600MHz and bandwidth of 97.85MHz. The designed bandpass filter satisfies the group delay time requirement for the 5G mobile communication standard and the in-band and out-band frequency responses.

  • Current mobile communication system is in the mid-process of conversion from 4G LTE to 5G network. According to the generalization of mobile communication services, personal information such as user's identifiers and location information is transmitted through a mobile communication network. The importance of security technology is growing according to the characteristics of wireless mobile communication networks, the use of wireless shared channels is inevitable, and security technology cannot be applied to all network system elements in order to satisfy the bandwidth and speed requirements. In particular, for security threat analysis, researches are being conducted on various attack types and vulnerability analysis through rogue base stations or attacker UE to make user services impossible in the case of 5G networks. In this paper, we established a 5G network testbed using open sources. And we analyzed three security vulnerabilities related to NAS COUNT and confirmed the validity of two vulnerabilities based on the testbed or analyzing the 3GPP standard.

  • Recently, competition among global mobile operators has focused on the commercialization of 5G for the first time. Apart from protecting the privacy of subscribers and the confidentiality and integrity of communication, protecting the network against various cyber attacks is also important to ensure that high-quality mobile services operate safely. In this study, we examine the security vulnerabilities with respect to mobile communication environments using previous and current LTEs. We also investigate whether existing vulnerabilities can be effectively protected and identify security issues that need to be considered in the approaching 5G environment.

  • Cultural contents are the most important factor in high speed and high quality data communication. High-quality content includes VR and AR technology, and a variety of high-quality content can be streamed over wireless mobile phones via smartphones. In addition, network and wired/wireless communication are inevitably required in an Internet of Things (IoT) environment in which things are connected to a wireless Internet. IoT is used in various network technologies such as 4G, 5G mobile communication, WIFI wireless LAN, Bluetooth and so on. It is a technology that can use the connection between things anytime, anywhere, and can be achieved in a wireless mobile communication environment. Therefore, in this paper, we study data error compensation estimation method which can reduce data error based on mobile communication channel environment analysis so that high quality contents can be serviced even in high speed mobile environment.

  • This paper wanted to find out research trends and its determinants on mobile commerce research reviewing 439 articles from 1999, the starting year of this field to 2012. Our analytical framework has 4 categories such as general, technology, consumer and firm, and 14 sub-categories. The results are as follows: First, studies on mobile commerce can be divided into 5 stages. Second, trends of mobile commerce are closely related to the evolution of mobile technologies such as communication technologies and devices (2G, 3G, 3G+, 4G LTE, LTE-A). Third, this field was led by USA until 2005 and has been led by Taiwan after 2006. Fourth, China, Korea, UK and Canada are also leading countries, all of which have mobile device manufacturers. Research trends of non-manufacturing countries and manufacturing countries are different from each other. In addition, the trends of leading countries are different from each other reflecting each country's business needs.

  • The 5G mobile communication technologies have been extensively developed with the era of mobile broadband, but spectrum policy for this service has not yet set up. In this paper, We have investigated the 5G mobile service and analyzed the 5G spectrum policy taking the developing technologies into account. Based on the results of these analyses, We propose an expansion of spectrum sharing in the 3~5 GHz bands, spectrum harmonization of 5 GHz bands, and restructuring of spectrum management administration from currently three distributed management to centralized spectrum management structure.

  • Recently, the sixth generation (6G) networks have become tremendous research topics. Intelligent reflecting surface (IRS) technologies have been envisioned, to increase spectrum and energy efficiency for the fifth generation (5G) mobile networks, towards the sixth generation (6G) communications. In this paper, especially for the strongest channel gain user, we investigate the bit-error rate (BER) of non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA) systems with intelligent reflecting surface (IRS). First, we derive a BER expression in a closed-form of Q functions. Second, we investigate the BER performance improvement of IRS NOMA systems over NOMA systems versus the power allocation. Moreover, we analyze the BER performance improvement of IRS NOMA systems over NOMA systems versus the number of IRS devices. In results, NOMA equipped with IRS technologies could play an important role in the paradigm shift from 5G mobile networks to 6G mobile networks.

  • Korea launched the world's first commercial 5G services in April 2019. Mobile traffic is expected to increase further with the acceleration of mobile-centric data utilization. It is one of the most important indexes of the growth of the mobile communications market, and it has a close relationship with frequency demand and supply, network management, and information communication policy. To overcome the limitations of an analytical solution due to the high complexity of the real world, this paper estimates the diffusion of 5G users using systemic thinking and the behavior of individual agents. Based on these demand forecasts, contributions to the establishment of strategic policies are suggested. For better understanding, global 5G predictions of subscribers and mobile traffic are also compared.

  • One of the 5G goals is provide to high data rates for users moving at high speeds, such as trains. High mobility scenarios such as high speed train (HST) scenarios are expected to be typical scenarios for fifth generation communication systems. As the HST develops rapidly, it is necessary to transmit wireless communication data to train passengers, and the communication speed required by users is gradually increasing. HST users require high network capacity and stable communication services regardless of the location or speed of the HST communication system. Therefore, a transmission frame is constructed for the 5G mobile communication system in the mm band to be used for the fifth generation mobile communication, the HST communication system is implemented, and the performance of the wideband non-stationary MIMO HST channel is analyzed in the HST scenario.
