An Effect of Equipment-Loading on the Buckling Strength of Single-Layer Latticed Domes with Geometrical Imperfection (형상초기부정을 갖는 단층래티스돔의 좌굴내력에 관한 설비하중의 영향)

  • The paper is aimed at investigating the buckling strength of single-layer latticed domes with the geometrically initial imperfection under the uniformly distributed vertical-loading and the partially concentrated equipment-loading. The results show that the effect of initial imperfection on the buckling strength, if the magnitude of equipment-loading is small, is much more sensitive in domes of overall buckling than in domes of member buckling, but with increasing equipment-loading, it is very sensitive both in domes of overall buckling and of member buckling

  • ZnSe single crystals were grown by seeded chemical vapor transport in $H_2$ atmosphere. The influence of the growth parameters on the crystal defect was investigated. The grown ZnSe single crystal was characterized by chemical etching, X-ray rocking curve and photoluminescenc e measurements.

  • This paper examines the electrical characteristic of single oxide layer due to various diffusion conditions, substrate orientations, substrate resistivity and gas atmosphere in a diffusion furnace. The oxide quality was examined through the capacitance-voltage characteristic due to the annealing time after oxidation process, and the capacitance-voltage characteristics of the single oxide layer by will be described via semiconductor device simulation.

  • 가공품 중에서 구멍가공이 차지하는 비율은 매우 높으며 또한 가공정밀도가 요구되어진다. 그러나구멍의 직경에 비하여 길이가 길어지면 칩의 배출, 절삭날부의 윤활이 어려워지고, 공구의 진동문제가있기 때문에 일반적인 가공으로는 불가능할 경우가 많다. 따라서 이에 적절한 가공방법은 고압력의 절삭유를 공급할 수 있는 공구를 이용하여 가공할 수 있으며, 그 대표적인 방법으로는 Spade Drill, Gun Drill, 및 BTA Dill에 의한 깊은구멍가공봅이다. 본 연구에서는 Single Tube BTA 드릴링 시스템에서 Single Edge BTA Drill을 사용 하여 깊은 구멍을 가공할 때 공작물 SM55C의 최적절삭 조건의 선정과 공구수명에 대하여 실험을 통하여 분석 하고자 하였다.

  • Finite element calculations are performed for crystalline solids subjected to plane strain tensile loading. Using Asaro's double slop model, shearband developments in single crystals are analyzed. The effect of various rate sensitivities and latent hardening parameters on microscopic plastic behavior was clarified. Moreover the deformation behavior of polycystals which have grain boundaries was compared to that of single crystals.

In-service Real-time and Continuous Objective Video Quality Assessment for DTV Broadcasting

  • This article presents a simple and reasonable in-service, real-time, and continuous single-ended objective video quality assessment model for DTV broadcasting using a multiburst signal at the bottom of the transient effect area, similar to Vertical Interval Test Signals. The issue of in-service video-quality monitoring in DTV broadcasting is addressed, and an effective method of quality monitoring is presented. The proposed method is also implemented and tested in a range of situations using a simulated HDTV broadcasting network.

Experiences of Single Pregnant Mothers (독신모의 임신 경험: 벼랑 끝으로 내몰림)

  • Purpose: This study was done to assess the personal experiences of the coping process during pregnancy for single mothers. Methods: The participants were 17 single mothers who had stayed in a social welfare facility. Data was collected with an in-depth unstructured interview. Data analysis was done by the grounded theory method. Results: One-hundred twelve concepts and 49 sub-categories were confirmed in the analysis. The sub-categories were grouped into 19 categories; escape from a miserable family, wrong meeting, openness of sex, defenseless state of pregnancy, inevitable result of pregnancy, heartbreak by herself, closure, isolation, difficult situation of being alone, stigma, supporting & protecting, helplessness, seeking, empowering, feeling of loss, conflict, facing issues, assuring a fresh start and becoming-mature. "Being driven over the edge of a cliff" was the key phenomenon which the single mothers experienced during the process of pregnancy. Conclusion: The above results will help nurses assessing single pregnancy mothers' needs and developing a nursing intervention program for supporting them. Therefore, nurses will be able to stop them from "being driven over the edge of cliff". A more vigorous nursing intervention is suggested for the research of the vulnerable classes of medical health care including single pregnant mothers.

A Simple ZVT PWM Single-Phase Rectifier with Reduced Conduction Loss and Unity Power Factor

  • This paper proposes a simple unity power factor zero-voltage-transition (ZVT) pulse-width-modulated (PWM) single-phase rectifier, which features reduced switching and conduction losses. The switching loss reduction is achieved by a simple auxiliary commutation circuit, and the conduction loss reduction is achieved by employing a single-stage converter, rather than a typical double-stage converter comprising of a front-end rectifier and a boost rectifier. Furthermore, thanks to good features such as a simple PWM control at constant frequency, low switch stress, low Var rating of commutation circuits, and simple power circuit structure, it is suitable for high power applications. The principles of operation are explained in detail, and a major characteristics analysis and the experimental results of the new converter are also included in this paper.
