대사증후군은 당뇨병, 고혈압, 복부 비만, 고지혈증 등의 질병이 한 개인에게 동시에 발현하는 것을 말한다. 미국에서는 $25\%$ 이상의 성인이 대사성 증후군인 것으로 알려져 있으며, 경제 여건의 향상 및 식생활 습관의 변화와 함께 최근 우리나라에서도 심각한 문제가 되고 있다. 한편 불확실성의 처리를 위해 많이 사용되고 있는 베이지안 네트워크는 사람이 분석 가능한 확률 기반의 모델로 최근 의학 분야에서 지식 발견, 데이터 마이닝을 위한 도구로 유용하게 사용되고 있다. 본 논문에 서 는 대사증후군을 예측하는 문제를 다루며, 베이지안 네트워크와 의학 지식을 이용한 대사증후군의 예측 모델을 제안한다. 제안하는 모델을 통해 1993년의 데이터를 가지고 1995년의 상태를 예측하는 분류 실험을 수행하였으며, 실험 결과 다층 신경망, k-최근접 이웃 등의 분류기 보다 높은 $81.5\%$의 예측율을 보였다.

성층권에 무선중계기지를 구축하여 통신에 이용하는 개념은 이미 오래 전부터 제안되어 왔으나 구현상 기술적 난이도가 높아 그 동안 현실화되지 못했다. 그러나 최근 새로운 통신 서비스에 대한 시대적 요구와 고효율의 태양 전지 및 연료 전지, 고정밀 GPS 항법 시스템과 같은 신기술 개발로 인하여 성층권 비행선을 이용한 무선통신 시스템 구현이 점차 가시화 되고 있으며, 세계전파통신회의(WRC)를 계기로 성층권통신시스템용 주파수가 분배됨에 따라, 선진국을 중심으로 HAPS(High Altitude Platform Station) 상용화를 위한 연구개발이 활발히 진행중에 있다. 특히, 우리나라와 인접한 일본은 정부의 적극적인 지원과 산/학/연의 효율적인 공조 체제를 바탕으로 HAPS 개발과 관련하여 과히 세계 선두 진열에 들어서 있다고 해도 과언이 아니다. 아직 HAPS 개발에 필요한 기술적, 재정적 기반이 부족한 우리나라로서는 이웃한 일본의 연구개발 동향을 항시 주시하고 정확하게 분석한다면 향후 독자적인 연구개발 수행 시 많은 도움이 될 것이다.

15대 국회 후반기, 보건복지위원장으로 선출된 김찬우 의원. 보건의료계 출신으로 위원장에 선출된 만큼, 보건의료계에서 거는 기대도 남다르다. 11대에 정계에 입문해, 의사 정치인으로서의 길을 걸어 온 김찬우 위원장은, 세간의 기대 이전에 의사 출신으로서 국민 특히 취약계층의 건강과 복지를 꼭 실현하겠다는 확고한 신념과 계획을 가지고 있다. 김위원장의 취약계층에 대한 사랑은 젊을 때부터 몸소 실천해 온 일이기도 하다. 정치에 입문하기 훨씬 이전부터, 고향인 영덕에서 개원하여 지역주민을 위한 인술을 펼쳐왔던 것. 그를 국회로 보내기를 강력히 희망했던 고향사람들의 의지는, 그저 고향을 빛내기 위한 일이 아니었음을 짐작케 하는 이력이기도 하다. 그의 첫인상은 우선, 소탈하고 서민적이어서 우리 아버지 혹은 이웃과 같은 편안함을 느낄 수 있게 한다. 그러나 대화를 해 나갈수록 일에 대한 강한 열정과 적극성 또한 대단한 사람이 김 위원장이다. 사랑의 의술, 사랑의 정치, 사랑의 보건복지를 위해 한번 화끈하게 뛰어보겠다는 김찬우 위원장의 보건복지정책 구상을 들어본다.

Recently there has been much interest in applying data mining to computer network intrusion detection. A new approach, based on the k-Nearest Neighbour(kNN) classifier, is used to classify Program behaviour as normal or intrusive. Each system call is treated as a word and the collection of system calls over each program execution as a document. These documents are then classified using kNN classifier, a Popular method in text mining. A simple example illustrates the proposed procedure.

In this paper, we propose a localized Adaptive QoS Routing using TD method and evaluate performance of various exploration methods when path is selected. Expecially, through extensive simulation, the proposed routing algorithm and exploration method using Exploration Bonus are shown to be effective in significantly reducing the overall blocking probability, when compared to the other path selection method(exploration method), because the proposed exploration method is more adaptive to network environments than others when path is selected.

A new preprocess technique is presented which can improve the routing efficiency in the gate array layout designs. In order to resolve the cycle problem in the detailed routing, we exchange the logically equivalent pins in each channel. The signal nets are divided, and doubly connected signal net components are removed, so that the increase in the number of tracks can be controlled.

Micro array lens systems are designed for a faximile or copy machine. The array type is hexagonal. Diameter of a lens is 0.16 mm and the distance of the center of the nearest neighbor is 0.192 mm. The magnitude of the lens system is 1:1. Working distane is 10.55 mm and the spot size is less than 0.04 mm radius on axis and 0.20 mm off-axis in case of single layer system. Working distance is 7.90 mm and the spot size is less than 0.07 mm radius on axis and 0.09 mm radius off axis in case of double layer system. Performance of single layer micro array lens system and double layer micro array lens system are compared with the characteristics of the ray fans.y fans.

연속 계조도 영상을 이진 영상(하프톤 영상)으로 변환하는 하프톤 기법중 대표적인 두 방법은 순차적 디더법과 오차 확산법이 있다. 이 중에서 오차확산법은 예리한 하프톤 영상을 얻기위한 우수한 하프톤 기법으로 잘 알려져 있다. 그러나 알고리듬에 기인하는 여러 인공잡음들이 발생하므로 이를 개선하기 위한 방법으로 최적의 필터 계수를 얻기 위한 많은 연구가 진행되었다. 본 논문에서는 연속 계조도 입력 영상과 하프톤 영상사이의 양자화 오차를 영상에 적응적이며 최적으로 확산시키기 위해 양자화 오차를 초기 가능성의 퍼지 부분 집합으로 정의하였다. 이러한 퍼지 부분 집합의 중심화소에 대해 이웃한 화소의 오차 가능성을 고려한 후 FAM 규칙을 이용하여 각각 화소들의 오차 가능성을 영상에 따라 적응적으로 갱신하였으며 이를 원영상에 더하여 다시 양자화 과정을 번복하는 퍼지 이완 알고리듬을 이용한 오차 확산법을 제안하였다. 제안한 방법을 이용하여 얻은 결과를 최적 필터 계수를 구하기 위한 기존의 방법의 결과 영상과 비교 분석하였다.

In this paper, we propose a new nearest-neighbor classifier with reduced computational complexity in search process. In the proposed classifier, the classes are divided into two sets: reference and non-reference sets. It reduces computational requriement by approximating the distance between the input and a class iwth the information of distances among the calsses. It calculates only the distance between the input and the reference classes. We convert a given classifier into RCC (reduced computational complexity but smal lincrease in misclassification probability of its corresponding RCC classifier. We designed RCC classifiers for the recognition of digits from the NIST database. We obtained an RCC classifier with 60% reduction in the computational complexity with the cost of 0.5% increase in misclassification probability.
