Trajectory-based Localization to overcome Radio Shadow Area in Port Logistics Environments (항만 환경의 음영지역 극복을 위한 동선 정보 기반의 측위 기법)

  • 다변측량법은 위치가 알려진 3개 이상의 지점으로부터 대상까지의 거리 정보를 바탕으로 대상의 위치를 계산하는 기법이다. Real Time Locating Systems (RTLS) 에서는 대상의 위치를 파악하기 위해 다변측량 기법을 주로 사용하는데, 이를 위해서는 리더와 대상과의 거리 정보가 3개 이상 필요하다. 그러나 항만 환경처럼 시설물 설치가 어렵고 장애물도 많은 넓은 지역에서는 음영지역이 다수 존재하여 이러한 조건을 항상 만족시키기 어렵다. 본 논문에서는 다변측량이 불가능한 적은 수의 거리 정보만으로 대상의 위치를 파악할 수 있도록 대상의 동선 정보를 이용하는 동선 정보 기반의 측위 기법을 제안한다. 성능 평가 결과 최소자승법만을 사용했을 때보다 평균 측위 오차가 약 3m, 표준 편차가 6m 줄었으며, 측위 성공률이 4.6 배 이상 높아졌다.

Performance Analysis of Diversity Received 4PSK and 8PSK Signals in m-distribution and Rician Fading Environments (m-분포 페이딩과 라이시안 페이딩 환경하에서의 다이버시티 수신된 4PSK와 8PSK 신호의 성능 분석)

  • In this paper, we present the bit error performances of 4PSK and 8PSK signal transmission schemes using Maximal Ratio Combining diversity reception for m-distribution and Rician fading channels. The suitability of modeling a Rician fading environment by a properly chosen m-distribution model is examined. Using the error performance of the derived equation has been evaluated and shown in figures as a function of fading index (m), Rician factor (K), diversity branches number (L) and E($E_b/N_o$). It is found that MRC (Maximal Ratio Combining) diversity technique is very efficient for reducing the effects of fading, And then, diversity benifit much large as depth of fading becomes deeper but more decreases as many diversity branchs. Also the results show that the error performance corresponds as much as fading becomes weak and increases with the number diversty branches.

  • This paper proposes new multiplicative techniques over finite field, by using KOA. At first, we regenerate the given polynomial into a binomial or a trinomial to apply our polynomial multiplicative techniques. After this, the product polynomial is archived by defined auxiliary polynomials. To perform multiplication over $GF(2^m)$ by product polynomial, a new mod $F({\alpha})$ method is induced. Using the proposed operation techniques, multiplicative circuits over $GF(2^m)$ are constructed. We compare our circuit with the previous one as proposed by Parr. Since Parr's work is premised on $GF((2^4)^n)$, it will not apply to general cases. On the other hand, the our work more expanded adaptive field in case m=3n.

Deformation Monitoring of a Structure Using Kinematic GPS Surveying Technology (Kinematic GPS 측량기법에 의한 구조물의 변형 모니터링)

  • This paper addresses the suitability of GPS positioning technology to monitoring deformation and movement of structures. The first part of the study is an empirical quantitative study of the repeatability of GPS observations and the second part is a performance evaluation of kinematic GPS, which requires only a few minutes per a point, for monitoring deformation of an engineering structure. On the test network for monitoring of a earth am, four observations have been conducted repeatedly on different seasons and water levels. The reference network was observed in static mode, and monitoring points were observed respectively in rapid-static mode as well as in kinematic mode in each epoch and then the results were compared with those obtained by conventional surveying techniques. The repeatability of baseline vectors to better than average 7 mm in three dimensions was achieved in base line observations between reference points and also the unclosure of reference networks showed the range of 4 ppm to 27 ppm. Compared with conventional surveying techniques, the kinematic approach showed the differences of 3∼4 m in slope distances which were observed from reference points to monitoring points, and showed the differences of 4∼8 m in height. It was ascertained that the kinematic GPS technology provides an efficient alternative to deformation monitoring by conventional means which are capable of detecting movements in the order of 5 mm.

GIS를 활용한 지하수 보전지역 설정에 관한 연구

  • GIS의 공간분석 기법을 이용하여 지하수가 집중적으로 개발.이용되고 있는 지역을 지하수 보전구역으로 설정하기 위한 연구를 제주도를 대상으로 실시하였다. 제주도 전역을 250 $\times$ 250m 간격으로 그리드를 작성한 후 각 그리드 격자점을 중심으로 반경 500m 내의 지하수 관정밀도, 지하수 이용량 및 개발량을 GIS 공간분석 기법을 활용해 분석하였다. 그 후 지하수 관정 밀도, 지하수 개발량, 이용량을 전체 자료 분포를 고려해 일정 구간으로 구분하고, 그 각각에 대해 계급값을 부여한 후, 3개 인자에 대한 계급값을 이용하여 중첩분석한 결과, 반경 500m 내의 지하수 관정밀도 평균 4공 이상, 지하수 개발량 평균 1,352m$^3$/일 이상, 지하수 이용량 평균 1,138m$^3$/일 이상 되는 지역을 지하수 보전구역으로 지정해 관리하는 것이 타당하다는 결론을 얻었다.

Pedestrian Classification using CNN's Deep Features and Transfer Learning (CNN의 깊은 특징과 전이학습을 사용한 보행자 분류)

  • In autonomous driving systems, the ability to classify pedestrians in images captured by cameras is very important for pedestrian safety. In the past, after extracting features of pedestrians with HOG(Histogram of Oriented Gradients) or SIFT(Scale-Invariant Feature Transform), people classified them using SVM(Support Vector Machine). However, extracting pedestrian characteristics in such a handcrafted manner has many limitations. Therefore, this paper proposes a method to classify pedestrians reliably and effectively using CNN's(Convolutional Neural Network) deep features and transfer learning. We have experimented with both the fixed feature extractor and the fine-tuning methods, which are two representative transfer learning techniques. Particularly, in the fine-tuning method, we have added a new scheme, called M-Fine(Modified Fine-tuning), which divideslayers into transferred parts and non-transferred parts in three different sizes, and adjusts weights only for layers belonging to non-transferred parts. Experiments on INRIA Person data set with five CNN models(VGGNet, DenseNet, Inception V3, Xception, and MobileNet) showed that CNN's deep features perform better than handcrafted features such as HOG and SIFT, and that the accuracy of Xception (threshold = 0.5) isthe highest at 99.61%. MobileNet, which achieved similar performance to Xception and learned 80% fewer parameters, was the best in terms of efficiency. Among the three transfer learning schemes tested above, the performance of the fine-tuning method was the best. The performance of the M-Fine method was comparable to or slightly lower than that of the fine-tuningmethod, but higher than that of the fixed feature extractor method.

  • As the construction industry accounts for 28.5% of industrial accidents in Korea and 29.6% of industrial accident deaths in 2017, it is necessary to search for a priority disaster reduction scheme for the construction industry in order to reduce the industrial accident rate. Therefore, this research suggested improvement direction for construction accidents reduction based on factors affecting construction accidents occurring in the construction site by DEMATEL analysis. As a result of the analysis, the 4M factors with the highest Prominence and Relation is 'Management', and the detailed analysis of the 4M factors were Personal characteristics of workers, Defects such as machinery and equipment, Inadequate inspection of machinery and equipment, Insufficient safety management plan, Inappropriate work orders from supervisors and field managers. The analysis results of this research can be used as a basic data for establishing direction of reduction and improvement of construction accidents.

A Study on the Reduction of Patient's Exposure Dose according to the Arrival Time of Contrast Media in Abdominal CT Scan using Bolus Tracking Technique (Bolus tracking 기법을 이용한 복부 CT 검사 시 조영제 도달시간에 따른 환자 피폭선량 감소에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to find out the factors that affect the patient's exposure dose during the abdominal CT scan using the bolus tracking technique, and reducing the radiation exposure to the patient during the abdominal CT scan using the bolus tracking technique by adjusting the delay time according to the corresponding factor. The experiment was divided into two parts, and the first experiment was conducted with 300 patients There were 188 males and 112 females, and their average age was 58±12.18(19~85). In the second experiment, 150 subjects (100 males and 50 females) who were undergoing their follow-up examination among the first experiment subjects, and the difference in dose before and after was compared by applying the delay time according to the influencing factor. As a result of the first experiment, there was a relationship between the arrival time of the contrast media and the heart rate, and it was found that the arrival time decreased as the heart rate increased for both men and women. As a result of the second experiment, the average dose of CTDIvol and DLP before/after applying the delay time according to the heart rate decreased 4.98 mGy and 5.33 mGy·cm in the male group, and 3.54 mGy and 3.88 mGy·cm in the female group. By applying proper delay time according to the patient's heart rate during abdominal CT scan with the bolus tracking technique, the radiation exposure dose of the patient can be reduced.

  • 본 논문에서는 ns-3 기반의 IEEE 802.15.4 모의 성능 평가에 대해 기술한다. IT 기술의 발달과 함께 차세대 전력망인 '스마트 그리드'가 대두되고 있다. 이에 따라 무선 센서들 간의 통신을 위해 IEEE 802.15.4 표준 기술이 채택되고 있다. IEEE 802.15.4 표준에는 beacon-enabled mode 와 non beacon-enabled mode 두 가지 채널 접근 기법이 존재하지만 특정 기법의 용도와 목적에 대해서는 구체적으로 명시되지 않는다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 스마트 그리드 환경에서 IEEE 802.15.4 의 두 채널 접근 기법의 성능을 시험하고 beacon-enabled mode 와 non beacon-enabled mode 간의 성능 분석을 통해 beacon-enabled mode 의 효용성에 대하여 연구한다.

Two-dimensional Velocity Measurements of Uvêrsbreen Glacier in Svalbard Using TerraSAR-X Offset Tracking Approach (TerraSAR-X 위성레이더 오프셋 트래킹 기법을 활용한 스발바르 Uvêrsbreen 빙하의 2차원 속도)

  • Global interest in climate change and sea level rise has led to active research on the velocities of glaciers. In studies about the velocity of glaciers, in-situ measurements can obtain the most accurate data but have limitations to acquire periodical or long-term data. Offset tracking using SAR is actively being used as an alternative of in-situ measurements. Offset tracking has a limitation in that the accuracy of observation is lower than that of other observational techniques, but it has been improved by recent studies. Recent studies in the $Uv{\hat{e}}rsbreen$ glacier area have shown that glacier altitudes decrease at a rate of 1.5 m/year. The glacier displacement velocities in this region are heavily influenced by climate change and can be important in monitoring and forecasting long-term climate change. However, there are few concrete examples of research in this area. In this study, we applied the improved offset tracking method to observe the two-dimensional velocity in the $Uv{\hat{e}}rsbreen$ glacier. As a result, it was confirmed that the glacier moved at a maximum rate of 133.7 m/year. The measruement precisions for azimuth and line-of-sight directions were 5.4 and 3.3 m/year respectively. These results will be utilized to study long-term changes in elevation of glaciers and to study environmental impacts due to climate change.
