Rheological properties of rehydrated suspensions of freeze dried tomato ketchup were measured by Brabender Viscotron at the temperature range of $30-90^{\circ}C$, at the concentration of 15-50%, and at the shear rate of $0-250sec^{-1}$. At the shear rate of $0-210sec^{-1}$, tomato ketchup was found to be a thixotropic food product. The values of flow behavior index, consistency index and yield stress at the shear rate of $0-210sec^{-1}$, at the temperature of $30^{\circ}C$ and at the concentration of 33% , were 0.2131, 22.5047 $Pa\;sec^{-n}$, and 8.544 Pa, respectively. It was found that the apparent viscosity model for temperature was expressed by Andrade model and the model for concentration was expressed by Power model, and the model for both temperature and concentration was described by exponential and power models. The activation energies at the concentrations of 15, 20, 30, 33, 40, and 50% were 3.973, 4.985. 5.078, 5.226, 5.357, and 7.655 $kcal/g{\cdot}mole$, respectively.

To develop a predictive model for the shelf-life of fish cake, fish cake was stored at 30, 35, or $40^{\circ}C$ and populations of total aerobic bacteria were determined during storage. Gompertz model parameters were determined and their dependence on temperature formulated as a quadratic equation for applications toward shelf-life prediction. The predicted shelf-life values for fish cake used in this study were 6.9, 5.5, and 3.8 days at 0, 4, and $10^{\circ}C$, respectively. The shelf-life prediction equation was appropriate based on statistical analyses that reveal accuracy and bias factors. These results suggest that our prediction model is applicable for estimating the shelf-life of fish cake.

The monthly inventory of dissolved inorganic carbon (CT) and its fluxes were simulated using a box-model for the southeastern Yellow Sea, bordering the northern East China Sea. The monthly CT data was constructed by combining the observed data representing four seasons with the data adopted from the recent publications. A 2-box-model of the surface and deep layers was used, assuming that the annual CT inventory was at the steady state and its fluctuations due to the advection in the surface box were negligible. Results of the simulation point out that the monthly CT inventory variation between the surface and deep box was driven primarily by the mixing flux due to the variation of the mixed layer depth, on the scale of -40~35 mol C m-2 month-1. The air to sea CO2 flux was about 2 mol C m-2 yr-1 and was lower than 1/100 of the mixing flux. The biological pump flux estimated magnitude, in the range of 4-5 mol C m-2 yr-1, is about half the in situ measurement value reported. The CT inventory of the water column was maximum in April, when mixing by cooling ceases, and decreases slightly throughout the stratified period. Therefore, the total CT inventory is larger in the stratified period than that of the mixing period. In order to maintain a steady state, 18 mol C m-2 yr-1 (= 216 g C m-2 yr-1), the difference between the maximum and minimum monthly CT inventory, should be transported out to the East China Sea. Extrapolating this flux over the entire southern Yellow Sea boundary yields 4 × 109 g C yr-1. Conceptually this flux is equivalent to the proposed continental shelf pump. Since this flux must go through the vast shelf area of the East China Sea before it joins the open Pacific waters the actual contribution as a continental shelf pump would be significantly lower than reported value. Although errors accompanied the simple box model simulation imposed by the paucity of data and assumptions are considerably large, nevertheless it was possible to constrain the relative contribution among the major fluxes and their range that caused the CT inventory variations, and was able to suggest recommendations for the future studies.

This study was attempted to get dimensionless unit hydrograph by linear model which can be used to the estimation of flood for the development of Agricultural water resources and laid emphasis on the application of dimensionless unit hydrographs for the ungaged watersheds by applying linear model. The results summarized through this study are as follows. 1.Peak discharge is found to be Qp= CAR (C =0. 895A-o.145) having high significance between peak discharge, Qp and effective rainfall, R within the range of small watershed area, 84 to 470km2. consequently, linearity was acknowledged between rainfall and runoff. Reasonability is confirmed for the derivation of dimensionless unit hydrograph by linear model. 2.Through mathematical analysis, formula for the derivation of dimensionless unit hydrograph was derived. qp--p=(tp--t)n-1[e-(n-1)](tp--t-1) 3.Moment method was used for the evaluation of storage constant, K and shape parameter, n for the derivation of dimensionless unit hydrograph. Storage constant, K is more closely related with the such watershed characteristics as length of main stream and slopes. On the other hand, the shape parameter, n was derived with such watershed characteristics as watershed area, river length, centroid distance of the basin and slopes. 4.Time to peak discharge, Tp could be expressed as Tp=1. 25 (√s/L)0.76 having a high significance. 5.Dimensionless unit hydrographs by linear model stood more closely to the observe dimensionless unit hydrographs On the contrary, dimensionless unit hydrographs by S.C. S. method has much difference in comparison with linear model at the falling limb of hydrographs. 6.Relative errors in the q/qp at the point of 0.8 and 1.2 for the dimensionles ratio by linear model and S. C. S. method showed to be 2.41, 1.57 and 4.0, 3.19 percent respectively to the q/qp of observed dimensionless unit hydrographs. 7.Derivation of dimensionless unit hydrograph by linear model can be accomplished by linking the two empirical formulars for storage constant, K, and shape parameter, n with derivation formular for dimensionless unit hydrograph for the ungaged small watersheds.
Climate change mainly due to the increase of green house gases cause different patterns of water cycle within the basin. However, it is common that current planning and management practices do not consider the effect of the climate change. So, this study evaluated the effect of climate change on the water circulation within the watershed. This study used several GCM simulations for the double $CO_2$condition for the generation of temperature and rainfall series using the Markov chain. Daily runoff series for 100 years were generated using a rainfall-runoff model. As results. annual temperature increase by +3.2 ∼+4.6$^{\circ}C$, annual precipitation change -7 ∼ +8 %, annual runoff change -14 ∼ +7 %, and potential evapotranspiration amount change +3 ∼+4 % for the change of 1 $^{\circ}C$ are found to be expected depending on GCM simulations. Even though the simulation results are very dependent on the GCM predictions considered, overall variability of runoff is expected to become higher than the current state.
In order to explore structural features of minoxidil analogs with a view of enhancing lysyl hydroxylase (LH) inhibitory activity, molecular holographic QSAR (HQSAR) and CoMSIA (comparative molecular similarity indices analysis) were performed. The results from the atomic contributions with optimized the HQSAR 6-2 model indicated that, in case of pyrimidine-1-N-oxide substituent, C2 atom of pyrimidine ring and C'3-C'4 bond of 4-piperidinol group showed the highest impact on the inhibitory activity towards LH enzyme. It was also evident from the information of the optimized CoMSIA F5 model that the inhibitory activity mainly depended on the hydrophobic field contribution (36%) and the hydrogen bond (H-bond) field contribution (49.2%) of substrate molecule. Particularly, it is predicted that the functional groups which disfavor H-bond acceptors in large space around the piperidinol group and also the functional groups which favor the H-bond acceptors at C'4 (& C'5) atom in $R_5$ group play a role for increased inhibitory activity. With this in mind, it is likely that a novel candidate having more improved inhibitory activity on hair growth could be designed in the future.

The performance of a multi-carrier CDMA system is analyzed considering frequency selective multipath fading and Near/Far effects. The number of multicarrier, multiuser, and arms of RAKE receiver, and the decay ratio of frequency selective multipath fading are used as a parameter for the performance analysis. More over, the distribution and the strength of multiuser interference are also considered. To evaluated the Near/Far effects in a multi-carrier CDMA system, three distribution models are assumed. In the first model. interference to carrier Ratio, I/C, ranges form -4 dB to 4dB, and at each 2 dB interval 20 % of multiuser is assumed to be uniformly distributed. In the second one, I/C ranges from -2 dB to 2 dB, and 33.3% of multiuser is assumed to be equally dispersed at each 2dB interval. The third model is 0 dB of I/C, that is, with perfect power control, multiuser are assumed to be evenly located. In this paper, multi-carrier CDMA system adoption RAKE receiver is proposed to mitigate the frequency selective multipath fading. Form the results, the third model(i.e. perfect power control)shows the best performance, and the narrower range of I/C causes the less effects to the desired signal, which reads to the better performance.
This work presents the design of a dual extended Kalman filter (EKF) as a state/parameter estimator suitable for adaptive state-of-charge (SoC) estimation of an automotive lithium-iron-phosphate ($LiFePO_4$) cell. The design of both estimators is based on an experimentally identified, lumped-parameter equivalent battery electrical circuit model. In the proposed estimation scheme, the parameter estimator has been used to adapt the SoC EKF-based estimator, which may be sensitive to nonlinear map errors of battery parameters. A suitable weighting scheme has also been proposed to achieve a smooth transition between the parameter estimator-based adaptation and internal model within the SoC estimator. The effectiveness of the proposed SoC and parameter estimators, as well as the combined dual estimator, has been verified through computer simulations on the developed battery model subject to New European Driving Cycle (NEDC) related operating regimes.
It is well known that finite element analysis often has the inaccuracy when they are in conflict with test results. Model updating is concerned with the correction of analytical model by processing records of response from test results. This paper introduce a model updating technique using the frequency response function data. The measurement data is able to be used directly in the FRF sensitivity method because it is not necessary to identify. When a damping model is updated, it is necessary for the sensitivity matrix to be divided Into the complex part and real part. As an applying model, a cantilever and a rotor system are used. Specially the machined clearance($C_p$) of the journal bearing is updated.
