Among the activities of 3GPP for operating 5G-based unmanned aerial vehicles, we introduce several use cases of UAVs in 5G mobile communication such as radio access node onboard UAV, simultaneous support data transmission for UAVs and eMBB users, autonomous UAVs controlled by AI, isolated deployment of radio access through UAV, and separation of UAV service area. From this, we further summarize 5G mobile communication requirements for UAVs, including definition and operational criteria of UAS, UAS remote identification requirements, UAS usage requirements, and performance requirements. Finally, regarding 5G mobile communication-based UAS connectivity, identification and tracking support, we discuss the 3GPP UAV architecture, seven major problems, the proposed solutions to each problem, and propose the results for future specification work.
Mobile communication technology is advancing forward to deliver more connected devices and richer content and applications. The number of subscriptions continues to grow along with an explosive increase in the mobile data traffic demand. Thereby, it creates a significant network capacity shortage concerns for mobile network operators. In order to address this problem, it is essential to increase the network capacity at a low additional cost. The device-to-device (D2D) communication based proximity service is believed to have a promising future mobile communication technology that is capable to create new mobile service opportunities and offload traffic to the eNB. In addition, it is also required to develop new mobile communication services and its business models not only to accommodate the increasing mobile traffic demand but also to foster profitability of mobile business service providers such as the network providers, contents providers and platform providers. In this article, we first analyze current mobile business eco-system in the context of CPNT based value chain. Then, propose service development framework and business model creation methodologies for the device-to-device communication based services in the beyond LTE/LTE-Advanced systems.

Current mobile communication system is in the mid-process of conversion from 4G LTE to 5G network. According to the generalization of mobile communication services, personal information such as user's identifiers and location information is transmitted through a mobile communication network. The importance of security technology is growing according to the characteristics of wireless mobile communication networks, the use of wireless shared channels is inevitable, and security technology cannot be applied to all network system elements in order to satisfy the bandwidth and speed requirements. In particular, for security threat analysis, researches are being conducted on various attack types and vulnerability analysis through rogue base stations or attacker UE to make user services impossible in the case of 5G networks. In this paper, we established a 5G network testbed using open sources. And we analyzed three security vulnerabilities related to NAS COUNT and confirmed the validity of two vulnerabilities based on the testbed or analyzing the 3GPP standard.

In 4G mobile communication, data services of mobile communication began to be provided in earnest. As a result, services such as the internet and multimedia including the video have become the main contents in the recent wireless traffic. Accordingly, research on 5G mobile communication with higher transmission rate has been actively carried out. 5G mobile communication is expected to be based on 4G for compatibility with existing terminals. Therefore, the simulation of this paper is based on 4G and we propose a new user scheduling scheme based on the Max throughput scheduling algorithm to improve system performance. This paper derives the frequency efficiency and fairness to compare the existing user scheduling algorithm with the proposed user scheduling algorithm. The proposed scheme shows better frequency efficiency and fairness than Max throughput in all situations. This paper contributes to the research for improving the system performance of 5G mobile communication technology, and I hope that it will help some of the ongoing standardization work.

In this paper, we propose G-Robot framework implemented with the fusion technology called RITS(Robot Technology & Information Technology System) for robot control and remote monitoring using the mobile phone. In our implemented system, the mobile phone mounted on the robot controls the robot and sends the images to the mobile phone of the user. We can monitor surrounding area of the robot with mobile phone and control the movement of the robot by sending the data between mobile-phones. Also, if the predefined situation occurs to the robot, the mobile phone on the robot sends the data to the mobile-phone of the user. From the experimental result, we can conclude that it's possible to control the robot and monitor surrounding area of the robot in real time in the region where the 3G(Generation) communication is possible. In addition, we can control the robot using the bluetooth instead of the mobile phone communication if the robot is in visual range.
Video telephony is a representative service in 3G mobile network. And there have been efforts to improve quality of video telephony service in different fields. In Korea, the leading mobile service provider SKTelecom and KTF service the WCDMA network as 3G mobile network. Now, more than a million people is using the network. In this paper, we study about video telephony over WCDMA network. and propose error minimizing algorithm using cross-layer adaptation between physical layer and video codec. We simulated 3G-324M protocol with MPEG-4 video codec, and simulation results show suggested algorithm improve packet transmission rate for improving quality of video telephony service.
This study emphasizes the importance of the newly added Ultra-Reliable and Low-Latency Communications (URLLC) service as an important evolutionary step for 5G mobile communication, and proposes a remedial application. We analyze the requirements for the application of 5G mobile communication technology in high-precision vertical industries and applications, introduce the 5G URLLC design principles and standards of 3GPP, and summarize the current state of applied artificial intelligence technology in wireless communication. Additionally, we summarize the current state of research on ultra-reliable and low-latency machine learning-based wireless communication technology for application in ultra-high-precision vertical industries and applications. Furthermore, we discuss the technological direction of artificial intelligence technology for URLLC wireless communication.

In this paper, we designed and implemented a cavity bandpass filter combined with a cross-coupling equalizer structure to enhance Group delay for 5G mobile network repeater, which can replace the SAW (Surface Acoustic Wave) type bandwidth filter used in the existing mobile communication system. Using the 3D EM simulation tool (HFSS), the resonance frequency, the coupling coefficient between resonators, and external quality coefficient between resonators were calculated. Based on this, a 12th bandpass filter was constructed to have attenuation characteristics of more than 20dB at the edge end of both sides of the band with a metal cavity structure with a frequency band of 3500MHz to 3600MHz and bandwidth of 97.85MHz. The designed bandpass filter satisfies the group delay time requirement for the 5G mobile communication standard and the in-band and out-band frequency responses.

Cultural contents are the most important factor in high speed and high quality data communication. High-quality content includes VR and AR technology, and a variety of high-quality content can be streamed over wireless mobile phones via smartphones. In addition, network and wired/wireless communication are inevitably required in an Internet of Things (IoT) environment in which things are connected to a wireless Internet. IoT is used in various network technologies such as 4G, 5G mobile communication, WIFI wireless LAN, Bluetooth and so on. It is a technology that can use the connection between things anytime, anywhere, and can be achieved in a wireless mobile communication environment. Therefore, in this paper, we study data error compensation estimation method which can reduce data error based on mobile communication channel environment analysis so that high quality contents can be serviced even in high speed mobile environment.
Performance requirements of a system are usually closely related to the quality of service provided by the system. The call success rate of a mobile communication system is, for example, directly linked with the quality of call service. Therefore, meeting the performance requirements is one of the critical issues during the operation of services as well as in system development. In this paper, we present a testing method for evaluating the call success rate of a mobile communication system by using interval estimation. Also we analyze the criterion used in the evaluation of the quality of 3G mobile communication services which was recently performed by Korea Communications Commission and then discuss the problems.
