In this paper, the planar, compact, and broadband phased array antenna system for IMT-2000 applications has been investigated. Two methods far designing a low-cost and low-complex beam-farming network are proposed. First, a new compact and broadband phase shifter with continuously controlled phase bits is designed by using parallel coupled lines. Second, its equivalent phase delay line is suggested to be capable of replacing the complex phase shifter with a reference phase bit on a phased array antenna. For the purpose of achieving the broadband system, in addition to the broadband phase shifter, a wide-slot antenna with a ground reflector is utilized as an element antenna. Therefore, the phased array antenna system has achieved compact size, broad bandwidth, and wide steering angle, although it has low complexity and low fabrication cost. The 3${\times}$1 phased array antenna system has a compact size of 1.6 λ${\times}$ l.6 λ, which is the sufficient ground plane of the wide-slot antenna. Experimental results present that the S$\_$11/ has less than 15 dB within the band and its radiation patterns on an E-plane have the capability of steering an antenna beam from -29$^{\circ}$to +30$^{\circ}$.

In u-GIS environment, GeoSensor environment requires that dynamic data captured from various sensors and static information in terms of features in 2D or 3D are fused together. GeoSensors, the core of this environment, are distributed over a wide area sporadically, and are collected in any size constantly. As a result, storage space could be exceeded because of restricted memory in DSMS. To solve this kind of problems, a lot of related studies are being researched actively. There are typically 3 different methods - Random Load Shedding, Semantic Load Shedding, and Sampling. Random Load Shedding chooses and deletes data in random. Semantic Load Shedding prioritizes data, then deletes it first which has lower priority. Sampling uses statistical operation, computes sampling rate, and sheds load. However, they are not high accuracy because traditional ones do not consider spatial characteristics. In this paper 'Pre-Filtering based Post Load Shedding' are suggested to improve the accuracy of spatial query and to restrict load shedding in DSMS. This method, at first, limits unnecessarily increased loads in stream queue with 'Pre-Filtering'. And then, it processes 'Post-Load Shedding', considering data and spatial status to guarantee the accuracy of result. The suggested method effectively reduces the number of the performance of load shedding, and improves the accuracy of spatial query.
In the ubiquitous computing age which uses a high quantity network, mobile devices such as wearable and hand-held ones with a small tamers and a wireless communication module will be widely used in near future. Thus, a lot of researches about an augmented game on mobile devices have been attempted recently. The existing augmented games used a traditional 'backpack' system and a pattern marker. The 'backpack' system is expensive, cumbersome and inconvenient to use, and because of the pattern marker, it is only possible to play the game in the previously installed palace. In this paper, we propose an augmented game called Flying Cake using a face region to create the virtual object(character) without the pattern marker, which manually indicates an overlapped location of the virtual object in the real world, on a small and mobile PDA instead of the cumbersome hardware. Flying Cake is an augmented shooting game. This game supplies us with two types: 1) a single player which attacks a virtual character on images captured by a camera in an outdoor physical area, 2) dual players which attack the virtual character on images which we received through a wireless LAN. We overlap the virtual character on the face region using a face detection technique, and users play Flying Cake though attacking the virtual character. Flying Cake supplies new pleasure to flayers with a new game paradigm through an interaction between the user in the physical world captured by the PDA camera and the virtual character in a virtual world using the face detection.

Digital communication is important for reliability and mobilization of the multi-channel communication systems. Transmitting and receiving data for the mobilization should be possible in anywhere and in anytime. And this system must be designed light weight small size and low power. One are essential technology for implementing the mobile wireless communication system on the age of ubiquotos. Requirements in constructing such communication field are followings. At first data transmitting and receiving should be carried out by a simple command. Second, the device should be designed as hand-hold type and low power consumption. Third, data communication should be reliable. As one of examples, car to car system which is popular in the market is introduced here, All traffic information in highway is transmitted from one car to another by using this system which can prevent possible traffic accident. This paper shows the design of a digital data communication system with CC1020 chip. This CC1020 makes easy frequency selection and easy switch from the transmit mode to the receive mode by simple setting of a memory register in the chip. The transmit power of this system is designed 10dBm and its communication range is about 100m. The power supplied this system is 3V considered as low power. The sleep mode can be easily entered during transmit mode or receive mode. We shows the program algorithm of CC1020 and interface circuit between MCU and CC1020. We shows the Photo of the CC1020 Module and Atmega128 Module.. We analysed the receiver rate with this system.

Electromagnetic interference shielding composite with low density ($1.18g/cm^3$) was fabricated using electroless plated FeCo magnetic metal hollow fibers and ethylene propylene diene monomer (EPDM) polymer. Aspect ratio of the fibers were controlled and their hollow structure was obtained by heat treatment process. The FeCo hollow fibers were then mixed with EPDM to manufacture the composite. The higher aspect ratio of the magnetic metal hollow fibers resulted in high electromagnetic interference shielding effectiveness (30 dB) of the composite due to its low sheet resistance (30 ohm/sq). The enhanced electromagnetic interference shielding effectiveness was mainly attributed to the formation of conducting network over the percolation threshold by high aspect ratio of fibers as well as an increase of the reflection loss by impedance mismatch owing to low sheet resistance, absorption loss, and multiple internal reflections loss.
Objectives : Trend of R&D of herbal medicine for dementia treatment was examined based on the quantitative information analysis for establishing the national strategy of research on dementia treatment with oriental medicine. Methods : Definition was made to clarify the technology for development of herbal medicine for dementia treatment. Based on the initial keyword provided by experts in the field, queries were compounded to conduct search in the search engines of WoS and DWPI. The raw data (papers or patents) extracted from the initial search were examined by expert-review before objects of analysis were determined. Then, the accumulated data was analyzed in terms of year, country and organization, which led to examination of the trend of R&D. And the research performance evaluation for dementia treatment technologies was also made in terms of country, organization and researcher based on the forward citation analysis. The international cooperation intensity was examined on the basis of analysis of network by researcher before analysis results were put together to select lead researchers. Results : According to the quantitative information analysis of 1,330 articles that were selected as analysis objects, the number of papers on natural products research for dementia treatment has increased by around 4.6 times in recent five years. This indicates that the intensive studies have been underway recently. It was found to be the US that had the highest level in research filed of herbal medicine for dementia treatment and the highest capacity of international cooperation for that purpose. On the contrary, Korea had the share of papers at 5.1%, the number of countries in cooperation research at 8, and the article quality index at 0.40, showing that the qualitative level was insufficient, compared to the quantitative outcome. In particular, Korea was found to have no intensity of international cooperation among researchers. In case of patent, the results of information analysis of 305 patents selected as analysis objects demonstrated that China had the highest share while Korea had the very low frequency of patent application quantitatively. Conclusions : In this study, the research to develop herbal medicine for dementia treatment has recently drawn much attention that has spread around the globe. Therefore, these results suggest establishing the strategy to develop technology for dementia treatment with oriental medicine in the future based on quantitative information analysis.

The study aims to identify convergence and trends in technology-based patent data for the biohealth sector in IP5 countries (KR, EP, JP, US, CN) and present the direction of development in that industry. We used patent co-classification analysis-based network analysis and TF-IDF-based text mining as the principal methodology to understand the current state of technology convergence. As a result, the technology convergence cluster in the biohealth industry was derived in three forms: (A) Medical device for treatment, (B) Medical data processing, and (C) Medical device for biometrics. Besides, as a result of trend analysis based on technology convergence results, it is analyzed that Korea is likely to dominate the market with patents with high commercial value in the future as it is derived as a market leader in (B) medical data processing. In particular, the field is expected to require technology convergence activation policies and R&D support strategies for the technology as the possibility of medical data utilization by domestic bio-health companies expands, along with the policy conversion of the "Data 3 Act" passed by the National Assembly in January 2019.

This study examined the diagnostics of abnormalities and faults of equipment, whose rotational speed changes even during regular operation. The purpose of this study was to suggest a procedure that can properly apply machine learning to the time series data, comprising non-stationary characteristics as the rotational speed changes. Anomaly and fault diagnosis was performed using machine learning: k-Nearest Neighbor (k-NN), Support Vector Machine (SVM), and Random Forest. To compare the diagnostic accuracy, an autoencoder was used for anomaly detection and a convolution based Conv1D was additionally used for fault diagnosis. Feature vectors comprising statistical and frequency attributes were extracted, and normalization & dimensional reduction were applied to the extracted feature vectors. Changes in the diagnostic accuracy of machine learning according to feature selection, normalization, and dimensional reduction are explained. The hyperparameter optimization process and the layered structure are also described for each algorithm. Finally, results show that machine learning can accurately diagnose the failure of a variable-rotation machine under the appropriate feature treatment, although the convolution algorithms have been widely applied to the considered problem.

As the manufacturing paradigm shifts, various collaborative robots are creating new markets. Demand for collaborative robots is increasing in all industries for the purpose of easy operation, productivity improvement, and replacement of manpower who do simple tasks compared to existing industrial robots. However, accidents frequently occur during work caused by collaborative robots in industrial sites, threatening the safety of workers. In order to construct an industrial site through robots in a human-centered environment, the safety of workers must be guaranteed, and there is a need to develop a collaborative robot guard system that provides reliable communication without the possibility of dispatch. It is necessary to double prevent accidents that occur within the working radius of cobots and reduce the risk of safety accidents through sensors and computer vision. We build a system based on OPC UA, an international protocol for communication with various industrial equipment, and propose a collaborative robot guard system through image analysis using ultrasonic sensors and CNN (Convolution Neural Network). The proposed system evaluates the possibility of robot control in an unsafe situation for a worker.
As the complexity of a 3D game is increased by various factors of the game scenario, it has a problem for controlling the interrelation of the game objects. Therefore, a game system has a necessity of the coordination of the responses of the game objects. Also, it is necessary to control the behaviors of animations of the game objects in terms of the game scenario. To produce realistic game simulations, a system has to include a structure for designing the interactions among the game objects. This paper presents a method that designs the dynamic control mechanism for the interaction of the game objects in the game scenario. For the method, we suggest a game agent system as a framework that is based on intelligent agents who can make decisions using specific rules. Game agent systems are used in order to manage environment data, to simulate the game objects, to control interactions among game objects, and to support visual authoring interface that ran define a various interrelations of the game objects. These techniques can process the autonomy level of the game objects and the associated collision avoidance method, etc. Also, it is possible to make the coherent decision-making ability of the game objects about a change of the scene. In this paper, the rule-based behavior control was designed to guide the simulation of the game objects. The rules are pre-defined by the user using visual interface for designing their interaction. The Agent State Decision Network, which is composed of the visual elements, is able to pass the information and infers the current state of the game objects. All of such methods can monitor and check a variation of motion state between game objects in real time. Finally, we present a validation of the control method together with a simple case-study example. In this paper, we design and implement the supervised classification systems for high resolution satellite images. The systems support various interfaces and statistical data of training samples so that we can select the most effective training data. In addition, the efficient extension of new classification algorithms and satellite image formats are applied easily through the modularized systems. The classifiers are considered the characteristics of spectral bands from the selected training data. They provide various supervised classification algorithms which include Parallelepiped, Minimum distance, Mahalanobis distance, Maximum likelihood and Fuzzy theory. We used IKONOS images for the input and verified the systems for the classification of high resolution satellite images.
