Development of 3D Off-line Simulator for Industrial Robots (산업용 로봇의 3차원 오프라인 시뮬레이터 개발)

  • We propose a unmaned integrating control system based-on Windows XP version Off-Line Programming System which can simulate a Robot model in 3D Graphics space in this paper. The robot with 4 and 6 axes modeled SM5 and AM1 respectively were adopted as an objective model. Forward kinematics, inverse kinematics and robot dynamics modeling were included in the developed off-line program. The interface between users and the off-line programming system in the Windows XP's graphic user interface environment was also studied. The developing language is Microsoft Visual C++. Graphic libraries, OpenGL, by silicon Graphics, Inc. were utilized for 3D Graphics.

User's emotion while browsing 3D web interfaces (3D 웹 인터페이스 브라우징에서의 사용자 감성어휘 도출)

  • This paper examines users' emotion from both 2D and 3D web interfaces and finds their differences. First, 77 words representing users' emotion were collected from the previous research papers. Second, a web survey system was developed using these collected words and prepared 3 web interface prototypes to collect users' emotions from different types of web interfaces. Finally, a web survey was conducted and its results were analyzed. The result of the survey showed that there were emotional words that were commonly experienced from either 2D or 3D web interfaces. However, it also showed that there were emotional differences between 2D and 3D web interface; 3D web interfaces provide users with specific emotional experiences because of their own characteristics - depth and dynamic movement. It is believed that the words collected from the survey could be the criteria to evaluate the quality of the 3D web interfaces and encourage the research on users' emotion from 3D interfaces.

  • To enhance the effect of science educational contents, we developed a motion based training content: 3D space exploration. In this content, we used the 3D depth camera for user's motion recognition. Learners have to conduct the space station maintenance mission using the motion based natural and intuitive interface. The result this study is expected to propose the immersive training simulation for young science learners.

  • We implement a 3D virtual conference using IPv6 multicast protocol suites. PIM-SM(Protocol Independent Multicast-Sparse Mode) is chosen for multicast. To provide users with the virtual reality that they are actually participating in an academic conference, 3D interface is built on VRML.   • Interaction technique in .3D virtual environment is a decisive factor that affects the immersion and presence felt by users in virtual space. Especially, in fields that require exquisite manipulation of objects such as electronic manuals in desktop environment, interaction technique that supports effective and natural manipulation of object is in demand. In this paper, 3D scene graph can be internally divided and reconstructed to a list defending on the users selection and through moving focus among the selection candidate objects list, the user can select 3D object more accurately Also, by providing various feedbacks for each manipulation stage, more effective manipulation is possible. The proposed technique can be used as 3D user interface in areas that require exquisite object manipulation.

  • This study is focused on the relationship of old and new media with the concept of cultural interface. This study try to find out their similarities and differences of media contents and interface through contents analysis of text. As a results, there are competible coexistance of transparent immediacy and hypermediacy as a double logic of remediation. And the features of remediation that borrowing, aggressive, and absorb are showed cross each other. A related studies are focused on the narrative structure of story and on analysis of character, events, and background. And the other studies are focused on the policy of new media distribution. But, recent new media emphasizes the visualization of 3D technology and that strategy. Also they tries to convert a various media contents. Therefore, it is important to check and prepare those environmental changes of media. Then, more researches will be applied to remediation and cultural interface of this study. And I hope that they will be find an alternative strategy of contents and interface on media.

Electrical and Optical Properties of Asymmetric Dielectric/Metal/Dielectric (D/M/D) Multilayer Electrode Prepared by Radio-Frequency Sputtering for Solar Cells

  • Transparent and conductive multilayer thin films consisting of three alternating layers FZTO/Ag/$WO_3$ have been fabricated by radio-frequency (RF) sputtering for the applications as transparent conducting oxides and the structural and optical properties of the resulting films were carefully studied. The single layer fluorine doped zinc tin oxide (FZTO) and tungsten oxide ($WO_3$) films grown at room temperature are found to have an amorphous structure. Multilayer structured electrode with a few nm Ag layer embedded in FZTO/Ag/$WO_3$ (FAW) was fabricated and showed the optical transmittance of 87.60 % in the visible range (${\lambda}=380{\sim}770nm$), quite low electrical resistivity of ${\sim}10^{-5}{\Omega}cm$ and the corresponding figure of merit ($T^{10}/R_s$) is equivalent to $3.0{\times}10^{-2}{\Omega}^{-1}$. The resultant power conversion efficiency of 2.50% of the multilayer based OPV is lower than that of the reference commercial ITO. Asymmetric D/M/D multilayer is a promising transparent conducting electrode material due to its low resistivity, high transmittance, low temperature deposition and low cost components.

  • This paper is a study on the improved version of the conventional format converter. This paper paper descries three interface systems used to record and play back the compressed digital data from the Grand Alliance(GA) HDTV system. The first interface is for recording the compressed data from the GA-HDTV to the HDVCR system, the second is for the GA-HDTV to the D3 VTR and the third is for the HDVCR to D3 VTR. This interface is also designed to accept both 8 VSB and 16 VSB modes. It is expected that this paper to be valuable in bringing the compressed HDTV recoding technology into television studios, cable head ends and consumer homes.

  • Recently a passenger ship and liner has been spread throughout men of diversity, the space and informations is not open to general passenger. Therefore security systems are necessary for special sailors to admit them. Although security systems has a variety usage methods which are organism recognition(finger printer, iritis and vein etc) a few years ago, these usages has a defect reusing other objects because of leaving a trace. Therefore this paper designs and implements using 3D Qube image password interface which hand gestures are recognized after acquiring from 2D input image for protective marker of finger printer.
