  • The complicated facilities on the ground have begun to be laid under the ground as increasing emphasis on the beauty of cities due to centralization. But, as the kind of the facilities have been concentrated on the narrow area, accidents occur due to the difficulty of maintenance and the inaccuracy of location information. In this study, first we constructed the field test model to compare with the method of underground probing. So, we could know that the electromagnetic induction method and GPR(Ground Penetration Radar) are useful. It was acquired the position information for the underground facilities using a RTK-GPS. As the result, we have analyzed the accurate position of the underground facility and show the way improving accuracy in detecting and surveying comparing with the traditional surveying method. Also, we hope to contribute the effective maintenance and prevention of disasters to the underground facility as using underground facilities 3D position with Arcview and building the DB of exact depth and underground facilities information system.

  • This paper shows an optimal design for reinforced concrete rectangular combined footings based on a criterion of minimum cost. The classical design method for reinforced concrete rectangular combined footings is: First, a dimension is proposed that should comply with the allowable stresses (Minimum stress should be equal or greater than zero, and maximum stress must be equal or less than the allowable capacity withstand by the soil); subsequently, the effective depth is obtained due to the maximum moment and this effective depth is checked against the bending shear and the punching shear until, it complies with these conditions, and then the steel reinforcement is obtained, but this is not guaranteed that obtained cost is a minimum cost. A numerical experimentation shows the model capability to estimate the minimum cost design of the materials used for a rectangular combined footing that supports two columns under an axial load and moments in two directions at each column in accordance to the building code requirements for structural concrete and commentary (ACI 318S-14). Numerical experimentation is developed by modifying the values of the rectangular combined footing to from "d" (Effective depth), "b" (Short dimension), "a" (Greater dimension), "${\rho}_{P1}$" (Ratio of reinforcement steel under column 1), "${\rho}_{P2}$" (Ratio of reinforcement steel under column 2), "${\rho}_{yLB}$" (Ratio of longitudinal reinforcement steel in the bottom), "${\rho}_{yLT}$" (Ratio of longitudinal reinforcement steel at the top). Results show that the optimal design is more economical and more precise with respect to the classical design. Therefore, the optimal design presented in this paper should be used to obtain the minimum cost design for reinforced concrete rectangular combined footings.

  • In the present work, the metabolic network of primary metabolism of the slow-growing myxobacterium Sorangium cellulosum was reconstructed from the annotated genome sequence of the type strain So ce56. During growth on glucose as the carbon source and asparagine as the nitrogen source, So ce56 showed a very low growth rate of $0.23\;d^{-1}$, equivalent to a doubling time of 3 days. Based on a complete stoichiometric and isotopomer model of the central metabolism, $^{13}C$ metabolic flux analysis was carried out for growth with glucose as carbon and asparagine as nitrogen sources. Normalized to the uptake flux for glucose (100%), cells recruited glycolysis (51%) and the pentose phosphate pathway (48%) as major catabolic pathways. The Entner-Doudoroff pathway and glyoxylate shunt were not active. A high flux through the TCA cycle (118%) enabled a strong formation of ATP, but cells revealed a rather low yield for biomass. Inspection of fluxes linked to energy metabolism revealed that S. cellulosum utilized only 10% of the ATP formed for growth, whereas 90% is required for maintenance. This explains the apparent discrepancy between the relatively low biomass yield and the high flux through the energy-delivering TCA cycle. The total flux of NADPH supply (216%) was higher than the demand for anabolism (156%), indicating additional reactions for balancing of NADPH. The cells further exhibited a highly active metabolic cycle, interconverting $C_3$ and $C_4$ metabolites of glycolysis and the TCA cycle. The present work provides the first insight into fluxes of the primary metabolism of myxobacteria, especially for future investigation on the supply of cofactors, building blocks, and energy in myxobacteria, producing natural compounds of biotechnological interest.

  • The systemization of construction information is required over whole life cycle of facilities to improve productivity of construction industry. BIM(Building Information Modeling) is a technology to manage information based on 3D information model. It has been actively suggested as one of the alternatives. However, it may be currently concentrated on the large project while the small and medium project based on BIM are slightly treated in indifference. In the case of small and medium project, the loss of information has been occurred more seriously than large project. However, it is hard to introduce BIM to the small and medium companies due to the lack of investment resources. This study has been performed to set up information management system based on BIM considering characteristics of small and medium project without excessive investment. In this study, pseudo BIM is defined as BIM for small and medium project. The concept of pseudo BIM has been suggested. The PLIB of ISO and construction information classification system of MOLIT in Korea are used to construct data dictionary for pseudo BIM. A pilot test is performed to verify the effectiveness of pseudo BIM.

  • Additive manufacturing process technology, known as the 3D printing process, is expanding its utilization from simple model realization to commercialized part production based on continuous material development. Recently, research and development have been actively carried out to fabricate lightweight and high-strength parts using polymers, such as polyamide (polyamide), which is a high-strength engineering plastic material. In this study, the Izod impact characteristics were analyzed for polyamide 12 (PA12) materials. For the specimen production, selective laser sintering process technology, which has excellent mechanical properties of finished products, was applied. In addition, PA12 and glass bead reinforced PA12 materials were produced. The specimens were classified according to the production direction on the production platform, and each specimen was subjected to an Izod test at test temperatures of $-25^{\circ}C$, $25^{\circ}C$, and $60^{\circ}C$. As a result, the impact strength of PA12 and glass bead-reinforced PA12 of vertical direction specimens were 48.8% and 16.3% lower than those of the parallel specimens at a $25^{\circ}C$ test temperature and the impact strength of parallel specimens was improved by 46.5% and 20.4% at a test temperature of $60^{\circ}C$ compared to that at $-25^{\circ}C$.

  • Recently, with the widespread adoption of Building Information Modeling (BIM) technology in the construction industry, various object detection algorithms have been used to verify errors between 3D models and actual construction elements. Since the characteristics of objects vary depending on the type of construction facility, such as buildings, bridges, and tunnels, appropriate methods for object detection technology need to be employed. Additionally, for object detection, initial object images are required, and to obtain these, various methods, such as drones and smartphones, can be used for image acquisition. The study uses a 360° camera optimized for internal tunnel imaging to capture initial images of the tunnel structures of railway and road facilities. Various object detection methodologies including the YOLO, SSD, and R-CNN algorithms are applied to detect actual objects from the captured images. And the Faster R-CNN algorithm had a higher recognition rate and mAP value than the SSD and YOLO v5 algorithms, and the difference between the minimum and maximum values of the recognition rates was small, showing equal detection ability. Considering the increasing adoption of BIM in current railway and road construction projects, this research highlights the potential utilization of 360° cameras and object detection methodologies for tunnel facility sections, aiming to expand their application in maintenance.

  • Photogrammetry using drone can produce high-resolution ortho image and acquire high-accuracy 3D information, which is useful. Therefore, this study attempted to determine the possibility of using drone-photogrammetry in park construction by producing a topographic map using drone-photogrammetry and analyzing the problems and accuracy generated during production. For this purpose, we created ortho image and DSM (digital surface model) using drone images and created topographic status map by vectorizing them. Accuracy was compared based on topographic status map by GPS (global positioning system) and TS (total station). The resulting of analyzing mean of the residuals at check points showed that 0.044 m in plane and 0.066 m in elevation, satisfying the tolerance range of 1/1,000 numerical maps, and result of compared lake size showed a difference of about 4.4%. On the other hand, it was difficult to obtain accurate height values for terrain in which existed vegetation when producing the topographic map, and in the case of underground buried objects, it is not possible to confirm it in the image, so direct spatial information acquisition was necessary. Therefore, it is judged that the topographic status map using drone photogrammetry can be efficiently constructed if direct spatial data acquisition is achieved for some terrain.

  • The purpose of this study is to explore the factors affecting the social capital of youth and to draw implications for the policies related to development of the social capital of them. To this end, we utilized the OLS regression model and the quantile regression model exploiting the 12th year dataset of the Korean Education & Employment Panel(KEEP). First, this study shows that the effect on trust is higher than that of the counterpart when the case is a) unmarried, b) with the high level of education, c) with a large asset, d) with high self-respect and the satisfaction for financial situation, and e) social media user. On the other hand, the higher the monthly average income, the lower the trust level. In addition, when the cases are grouped into 25 quantile, 50 quantile, and 75 quantile according to the level of trust, it is revealed empirically that the factors affecting social capital formation are somewhat different. Second, this study also shows that the effect is higher in a specific condition. The effect is higher compared to the counterpart when the case is a) male, b) with children, c) metropolitan city resident, d) non-employee, e) with a large asset, f) with high level of happiness, g) with high expense of purchasing books, and h) social media user. As a result, it is found that there are no personal characteristics that have statistically significant influence on students belonging to the 25th quantile of social capital. This study suggests that, in order to support the formation of social capital of Korean youths, it is necessary to enhance their psychological satisfaction and to provide cultural support or policies. In addition, it suggests that a tailored social capital accumulation program is needed according to the level of social capital, and the support for this need to be changed according to the amount of social capital of young people.
