In the main current 3D animations which are put on the screens, the characters in the animations have a directly effect on the audiences by being closely connected with their descriptive constructions. In this research i am going to recognize the importance of characters and trace the points of sameness in the characters that appear in the 3D animations by analysing them. For this, 1 divided the characters that made lots of box-office profits all over the world and were made at Pixar which focused on characters and stories into 7 types according to written by Vladimir Propp and grasped the characters with MBTI system. 1 found out the points of sameness between the characters with this system. That will be able to be made use of referring the streams of stories and fixing the characters at the planning and producing stages. If we should make a study of figures, expressions, motions of the characters in connection with this research, it could help us to create the characters which are suitable for animations not only formative elements but also acting.
Objective: The purpose of this study was to evaluate differences in three-dimensional (3D) morphology of the hard palate between Korean adults with and without mild-to-moderate obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) using cone-beam computed tomographic (CBCT) data. Methods: The protocol for the two-dimensional (2D) and 3D mathematical modeling was established by analyzing CBCT images of 30 adults with OSA and 30 matched controls without OSA, using MIMICS software. The linear and angular measurements were also determined using this software. The measurements were repeated for 30 palates, by the same operator, to assess reliability. Results: The palates of OSA patients were higher in the posterior part and narrower in the anterior-superior part than those of the control group (p < 0.05). The nasal cavities of patients with OSA were narrower (p < 0.05) than those of controls. The increasing angle of the first molar palatal root is a compensation of the upper dental arch to improve occlusion. However, for most palatal measurements, there were no significant differences between the OSA and control groups (p > 0.05). The results of 2D and 3D mathematical models were consistent for linear and angular measurements, indicating that 2D and 3D mathematical modeling of the palate is a reliable methodology. Conclusions: OSA is a multifactorial disease; the palates of adults with mild-to-moderate OSA do not have specific morphological features distinct from those of healthy controls.
In this study, we investigated the relationship between the morphology and the rheological properties of Penicillium citrinum to improve the production of neo-fructosyltransferase (neo-FTase). In a 2.5 L bioreactor culture of P. citrinum, it was observed that agitation speed and aeration rate had significant effects on the production of neo-FTase and that maximum cell mass and neo-FTase production obtained at 500 rpm and 1.5vvm were 8.14 g/L and $53.2{\times}10^{-3} U/mL$, respectively. Cell mass and neo-FTase production increased to 91.53 and 25.17%, respectively. In the morphology and rheology studies, P. citrinum showed a typical pellet morphology that was explained by a shaving mechanism; this phenomenon was significantly affected by carbon sources. The rheology of neo-FTase fermentation by P. citrinum was dependent on cell growth and fungal morphology.

Two Diaporthe species isolated from fruit of Citrus sinensis in China were characterized based on morphology and multilocus phylogeny of ITS, tef1, and tub2 gene sequences. The phylogeny indicated that the two species match Diaporthe taoicola and D. siamensis. A critical examination of phenotypic characteristics confirmed the phylogenetic results. Diaporthe taoicola was morphologically characterized by producing Alpha conidia with tapering toward both ends. Meanwhile, D. siamensis produced cylindrical or ellipsoidal Alpha conidia with two oil drops. Pathogenicity tests revealed that both species were pathogenic to fruit of C. sinensis. To our knowledge, the two species were firstly reported on Citrus sinensis in China.

Genetic continuity of Digenea simplex outside the Atlantic waters remains less studied, despite its long exposure to oriental folk medicine and wide distribution in tropical waters. Mitochondrial COI-5P and plastid rbcL sequences and morphology were investigated for plants from Mexico and additional specimens from Japan. Two new species, Digenea mexicana and Digenea rafaelii, are described for plants that would previously have been recognized as D. simplex in Mexico. D. mexicana grows to 10.5 cm tall and has cylindrical axes, irregular or di-, trichotomous branches, simple to branched determinate branchlets with eight pericentral cells, and tetrasporangia on inflated upper parts of determinate branchlets. It occurs intertidally in Quintana Roo, Yucatan Peninsula. D. rafaelii grows to 5 cm tall and has cylindrical axes, irregular or di-, trichotomous branches, and simple determinate branchlets with ten pericentral cells. It occurs intertidally in the Gulf of California. Both COI-5P and rbcL sequences revealed the genetic discontinuity between D. mexicana and D. rafaelii.
Transcatheter closure of atrial septal defects has become a popular procedure. The availability of a preprocedural imaging study is crucial for a safe and successful closure. Both the anatomy and morphology of the defect should be precisely evaluated before the procedure. Three-dimensional (3D) echocardiography and cardiac computed tomography are helpful for understanding the morphology of a defect, which is important because different defect morphologies could variously impact the results. During the procedure, real-time 3D echocardiography can be used to guide an accurate closure. The safety and efficiency of transcatheter closures of atrial septal defects could be improved through the use of detailed imaging studies.
There are two methods in 3-D sound reproduction: a surround system, like 3.1 channel method and a binaural system using 2-channel method. The binaural system utilizes the sound localization principle of a human using two ears. Generally, a crosstalk between each channel of 2-channel loudspeaker system should be canceled to produce a natural 3-D sound. To solve this problem, it is necessary to trace a head movement. In this paper, we propose a new algorithm to correctly trace the head movement of a listener. The Proposed algorithm is based on the detection of face and eye. The face detection uses the intensity of an image and the position of eyes is detected by a mathematical morphology. When the head of the listener moves, length of borderline between face area and eyes may change. We use this information to the tracking of head movement. A computer simulation results show That head movement is effectively estimated within +10 margin of error using the proposed algorithm.
To fabricate a precise micro metal mold, the electrochemical etching process has been researched. We investigated the electrochemical etching process numerically and experimentally to determine the etching tendency of the process, focusing on the current density, which is a major parameter of the process. The finite element method, a kind of numerical analysis, was used to determine the current density distribution on the workpiece. Stainless steel(SS304) substrate with various sized square and circular array patterns as an anode and copper(Cu) plate as a cathode were used for the electrochemical experiments. A mixture of $H_2SO_4$, $H_3PO_4$, and DIW was used as an electrolyte. In this paper, comparison of the results from the experiment and the numerical simulation is presented, including the current density distribution and line profile from the simulation, and the etching profile and surface morphology from the experiment. Etching profile and surface morphology were characterized using a 3D-profiler and FE-SEM measurement. From a comparison of the data, it was confirmed that the current density distribution and the line profile of the simulation were similar to the surface morphology and the etching profile of the experiment, respectively. The current density is more concentrated at the vertex of the square pattern and circumference of the circular pattern. And, the depth of the etched area is proportional to the current density.
Molt-staging of Metapenaeopsis dalei was determined by microscopic observation on their setal development of dissected uropods, Five major stages (Stage A, B, C, D and E) were defined by the morphology of setal development. Premolt stage (Stage D) can be divided into 4 distinctive substages ($D_1{\sim}D_4$) according to the premolting processes. The setal cones were formed at Stage B under the old cuticle, and the setal shafts were visible at the end of such Stage $D_1'$. The casting process of the old cuticle lasted less than 1 min. The molt stages in M. dalei thus are generally similar to those of other shrimp species.

In case of rough contact fatigue, the accurate calculation of surface tractions is essential to the prediction of crack initiation life. Accurate Surface tractions influencing shear stress amplitude can be obtained by contact analysis based on tile morphology of contact surfaces. In this study, to simulate rough contact under sliding condition, gaussian rough surface generated numerically in the previous study was used and to calculate crack initiation life in the substrate, dislocation pileup theory was used.
