BIM Automatic Design and the Optimization of the Tunnel Blasting Patterns (터널 발파패턴 최적화를 위한 BIM 설계자동화)

  • As the paradigm of urban development has recently changed to development of underground space, the road tunnels and railway tunnels are increasing to relieve traffic congestion. This technical notes is related to the development of underground spaces using NATM (New Austrian Tunneling Method). Limitations of conventional 2D blasting pattern design method were analyzed, and BIM-based automatic design method was developed to overcome them. Since it was developed to facilitate modeling of all safety facilities along a alignment using coordinates and GIS data, it can overcome the limitations of the number of safety facilities that can be considered and time required for conventional design. In the conventional design, the results of borehole test blasting were used to predict the blasting impact. However, the developed technology is possible to recalculate by applying the measurement results obtained from actual tunnel blasting, enabling rapid re-evaluation of the blasting impact on all safety facilities during construction, leading economical design. As a result of applying it to GTX-A5 and 6 sites, it took about 5 minutes, which is 1/480 compared to the conventional design method. In addition, the construction cost was reduced by about 8 billion won/km and the period was reduced by about 41 days/km. It is expected to be used as technical basis for calculating the optimal blasting pattern in the BIM-based design and construction management process.

  • ART DECO is a suitable for the rational style and the variation in modeling techniques of artistic revival. At present, production using CAD & CAM by software have great potential adaptation in the industrial arts since it accomplishs the understanding of the plan and promote as realization of automation with rapid and accurate results. Until a recent date, geometrical, abstract mode was discovered through the advanced development, with the tendency of mechanical modification. This paper attempts to practice in accordance with liberal form's fascinating variety from above formative style the application of engineering science. As follows presenting the drawing and 3D MODELING/DATA accordingly it carries out the 3D shapes and techniques by CAD & CAM.

  • The establishment of a production pipeline imported 30 computer graphics is suggested in this paper to improve the efficiency of existing production pipeline of clay animation. The point is that the process of building clay characters that remains labor intensive among the existing procedures is replaced by the process of creating computer generated characters. In order to create characters out of clay by means of 30 computer graphics, a diffuse map and displacement map are made of an oil-based clay according to the UVW coordination of polygon modeling, which is the same color and kind of clay used to make a clay character. In addition, a panoramic HDRI recording system is developed to record the lighting information of shooting environment for miniature sets, which is imported in 3D computer graphic tools as digital light source. On account of the new production pipeline, a hyper realistic rendering image can be produced, and at the same time it improves the traditional pipeline of stop motion animation that is know-how based procedure of a complete artist by the engineering approach to the automatic process.

A Study on Ontology and Topic Modeling-based Multi-dimensional Knowledge Map Services (온톨로지와 토픽모델링 기반 다차원 연계 지식맵 서비스 연구)

  • Knowledge map is widely used to represent knowledge in many domains. This paper presents a method of integrating the national R&D data and assists of users to navigate the integrated data via using a knowledge map service. The knowledge map service is built by using a lightweight ontology and a topic modeling method. The national R&D data is integrated with the research project as its center, i.e., the other R&D data such as research papers, patents, and reports are connected with the research project as its outputs. The lightweight ontology is used to represent the simple relationships between the integrated data such as project-outputs relationships, document-author relationships, and document-topic relationships. Knowledge map enables us to infer further relationships such as co-author and co-topic relationships. To extract the relationships between the integrated data, a Relational Data-to-Triples transformer is implemented. Also, a topic modeling approach is introduced to extract the document-topic relationships. A triple store is used to manage and process the ontology data while preserving the network characteristics of knowledge map service. Knowledge map can be divided into two types: one is a knowledge map used in the area of knowledge management to store, manage and process the organizations' data as knowledge, the other is a knowledge map for analyzing and representing knowledge extracted from the science & technology documents. This research focuses on the latter one. In this research, a knowledge map service is introduced for integrating the national R&D data obtained from National Digital Science Library (NDSL) and National Science & Technology Information Service (NTIS), which are two major repository and service of national R&D data servicing in Korea. A lightweight ontology is used to design and build a knowledge map. Using the lightweight ontology enables us to represent and process knowledge as a simple network and it fits in with the knowledge navigation and visualization characteristics of the knowledge map. The lightweight ontology is used to represent the entities and their relationships in the knowledge maps, and an ontology repository is created to store and process the ontology. In the ontologies, researchers are implicitly connected by the national R&D data as the author relationships and the performer relationships. A knowledge map for displaying researchers' network is created, and the researchers' network is created by the co-authoring relationships of the national R&D documents and the co-participation relationships of the national R&D projects. To sum up, a knowledge map-service system based on topic modeling and ontology is introduced for processing knowledge about the national R&D data such as research projects, papers, patent, project reports, and Global Trends Briefing (GTB) data. The system has goals 1) to integrate the national R&D data obtained from NDSL and NTIS, 2) to provide a semantic & topic based information search on the integrated data, and 3) to provide a knowledge map services based on the semantic analysis and knowledge processing. The S&T information such as research papers, research reports, patents and GTB are daily updated from NDSL, and the R&D projects information including their participants and output information are updated from the NTIS. The S&T information and the national R&D information are obtained and integrated to the integrated database. Knowledge base is constructed by transforming the relational data into triples referencing R&D ontology. In addition, a topic modeling method is employed to extract the relationships between the S&T documents and topic keyword/s representing the documents. The topic modeling approach enables us to extract the relationships and topic keyword/s based on the semantics, not based on the simple keyword/s. Lastly, we show an experiment on the construction of the integrated knowledge base using the lightweight ontology and topic modeling, and the knowledge map services created based on the knowledge base are also introduced.

  • The self-driving roller conveyor system, which transports target products by controlling multiple rollers with a motor, is a logistics system suitable for branching and joining logistics and controlling the alignment of target products, and its utilization is increasing, especially in the food manufacturing process. In this paper, we build a simulation environment using Unity software based on 3D graphic modeling of a self-driving roller conveyor system. In a situation where target products are supplied irregularly in terms of time, a method is proposed that can align products to maintain constant spacing by controlling the rollers. Simulation results show that effective alignment of products is possible by controlling the motor that drives the roller based on sensor data of the product position.

CUDA-based Object Oriented Programming Techniques for Efficient Parallel Visualization of 3D Content (3차원 콘텐츠의 효율적인 병렬 시각화를 위한 CUDA 환경 기반 객체 지향 프로그래밍 기법)

  • This paper presents a parallel object-oriented programming (OOP) platform for efficient visualization of three-dimensional content in CUDA environments. For this purpose, this paper discusses the features and limitations in implementing C++ object-oriented codes using CUDA and proposes the solutions. Also, it presents how to implement a 3D parallel visualization platform based on the MVC (Model/View/Controller) design pattern. Also, it provides sample implementations for integral MLS (iMLS) and signed distance fields (SDFs) based on the Marching Cubes and Raytracing. The proposed approach enables GPU parallel processing only by implementing simple interfaces. Based on this, developers can expect general benefits that are common in general OOP techniques including abstractization and inheritance. Though I implemented only two specific samples in this paper, I expect my approach can be widely applied to general computer graphics problems.

  • The automated quantity take off technique using BIM authoring tools has been recently issued, and the studies of this method for the accuracy, efficiency, and the unit computing for the simple volume, area and number have been developed. Meanwhile the main concerns such as the details for the level of modelling, and the costs and time for the calculating BOQ item are still required to study. In this paper, the earth works, drainage works, pavement works, and facility works using BIM authoring tools are designed in 3D, and the applicability of automated quantity take off technique using BIM authoring tools is discussed, respectively. As a result, automated quantity take off are limited in the earth works, drainage works, pavement works, and facility works. But Most items of BOQ can be supported in Re-bar model.

  • An object-oriented system is organized by a set of interacting objects and the system behavior is represented by the cooperating interaction bet ween objects. The characteristics of object-oriented software. such as inheritance and polymorphism, increase the difficulty of the object-oriented software testing. At running time of a program, one call from a member function can bind to other member functions because of the dynamic characteristics such as concurrence, dynamic binding and interaction. Therefore, there need the research about considering the characteristics of object-oriented software and concurrently testing the interaction between objects. In this paper, we propose the techniques as follows. First, we construct a flattened state chart diagram by considering the inheritance and polymorphism. Next, we model the system with CPN(Colored Petri Net) that usually is applying the system modeling and simulation. Last, we propose a test case generation techniques for testing the interaction between objects in object-oriented software by applying a Design/CPN tool.

  • 토목, 건축과 관련된 노동현장은 여느 3D 업종들과 마찬가지로 숙련된 기능공의 부재 및 산업재해 발생으로 인해 어려움을 겪고 있으며 이를 극복하기 위한 노력을 계속하고 있다. 대표적인 토목공사인 토공 작업 역시 위험 혹은 유해한 작업환경으로 인해 토공장비의 안전사고 및 생산성과 품질저하가 발생하며 이를 방지하기 위한 장비의 지능화가 절실하게 요구되고 있다. 이를 위해 최근 지능형 굴삭 시스템 개발을 위한 연구가 진행되고 있으며, 토공작업은 일반적으로 광범위한 작업영역을 가지기 때문에 지능형 굴삭시스템의 개발을 위해서는 효율적인 작업을 수행할 수 있도록 하는 작업계획의 수립이 매우 중요하다. 본 연구에서는 작업계획의 대상을 굴삭로봇과 토사로 구분하였으며, 글로벌 영역에서 단위작업 영역, 로컬 영역으로의 분할을 통해 전체 작업 진행에 대해 효율적으로 작업계획을 수립할 수 있도록 구성하여 계획단계에서부터 토공작업 자동화 및 효율와에 기여하고자한다. 토공작업계획 시스템은 토공 작업자 및 감독자의 작업 특성 및 노하우를 컴퓨터, 즉 두뇌에 부여함으로써 숙련된 장비조종자의 작업 방법 및 특성을 반영하여 토공 작업 프로세스 모델링을 구축하고 실제 작업환경상의 센서에 의해 측정된 데이터를 실제 작업환경과 동일하게 모델링된 컴퓨터내의 가상환경을 바탕으로 영역분할, 최적 플랫폼 위치선정 및 작업 순차생성을 통해 최적의 토공작업계획을 수립할 수 있도록 한다.

  • 많은 건설 현장에서 카메라와 CCTV(Closed-circuit Television)와 같은 장비를 활용하여 건설 현장의 상황을 모니터링 하고 있다. 하지만 많은 작업이 실외에서 이루어지는 토목 건축공사의 특성상 적절한 수준의 영상 데이터를 축적하는 것은 쉽지 않은 일이다. 특히, 이미지 프로세싱기법을 사용 하여 자동화된 건설 관리의 수행 시, 영상 데이터의 품질에 따라 에러가 발생하여 건설 관리자가 잘못된 정보를 얻게 될 경우도 발생하게 된다. 본 연구에서는 케니엣지(Canny Edge) 인식기법과 워터쉐드(Watershed) 변환, 그리고 3D CAD Mask를 이용한 건축 구조물 기둥의 시공 상황 분석 기법에 근거하여, 영상 데이터 분석 시 오류를 최소화하기 위한 에러 제거 알고리즘을 제시한다. 실제 데이터와 비교를 통하여 그 활용 가능성 또한 검증한다.
