DME를 착화촉진제로 사용한 가솔린 예혼합 압축 착화 엔진의 연소 특성 (Combustion Characteristics of Gasoline HCCI Engine with DME as an Ignition Promoter)

  • This paper investigates the steady-state combustion characteristics of the Homogeneous charge compression ignition(HCCI) engine with variable valve timing(VVT) and dimethyl ether(DME) direct injection, to find out its benefits in exhaust gas emissions. HCCI combustion is an attractive way to lower carbon dioxide($CO_2$), nitrogen oxides(NOx) emission and to allow higher fuel conversion efficiency. However, HCCI engine has inherent problem of narrow operating range at high load due to high in-cylinder peak pressure and consequent noise. To overcome this problem, the control of combustion start and heat release rate is required. It is difficult to control the start of combustion because HCCI combustion phase is closely linked to chemical reaction during a compression stroke. The combination of VVT and DME direct injection was chosen as the most promising strategy to control the HCCI combustion phase in this study. Regular gasoline was injected at intake port as main fuel, while small amount of DME was also injected directly into the cylinder as an ignition promoter for the control of ignition timing. Different intake valve timings were tested for combustion phase control. Regular gasoline was tested for HCCI operation and emission characteristics with various engine conditions. With HCCI operation, ignition delay and rapid burning angle were successfully controlled by the amount of internal EGR that was determined with VVT. For best IMEP and low HC emission, DME should be injected during early compression stroke. IMEP was mainly affected by the DME injection timing, and quantities of fuel DME and gasoline. HC emission was mainly affected by both the amount of gasoline and the DME injection timing. NOx emission was lower than conventional SI engine at gasoline lean region. However, NOx emission was similar to that in the conventional SI engine at gasoline rich region. CO emission was affected by the amount of gasoline and DME.

  • 고분자 전해질 연료전지는 운전온도에 따라 효율과 출력이 변화하기 때문에 $65^{\circ}C{\sim}75^{\circ}C$정도의 적정 운전온도를 유지하기 위한 냉각시스템을 필요로 한다. 따라서 PEMFC 운전온도를 유지하기 위한 냉각시스템 및 이를 위한 제어로직을 적용할 필요가 있다. HILS는 이러한 냉각시스템 제어로직을 검증하고 연구하기 위한 방법 중 하나이다. 본 논문에서는 냉각수 제어 알고리즘 연구를 위해 HILS 시스템을 구성하였다. HILS 시스템 모델은 PEMFC, 열교환기 및 온도와 관련한 외부환경 모델로 구성되며, HILS 시스템의 하드웨어는 삼방밸브, 펌프, 열교환기로 이루어진다. 이러한 HILS를 활용하여 냉각시스템 제어 효율 향상을 위한 제어우선순위 및 제어 대상온도 설정에 대한 연구를 수행하였다. 1차 냉각회로의 삼방밸브를 우선제어대상으로 설정하고, 2차 냉각회로의 온도제어성능 보정을 위해 2차 냉각회로 삼방밸브의 개도율 하한값을 PEMFC 출력과 2차 냉각회로 냉각수 온도의 함수로 작성하여 온도제어성능을 보상할 수 있도록 하였다. 그 결과 안정적인 PEMFC 온도 제어성능을 확인하였다.

개인용 VSA방식 소형 산소발생기 개발 (Development of Personal Compact Oxygen Generator using Vacuum Swing Absorption)

  • 본 논문은 휴대 및 이동이 가능한 개인용 소형 산소발생기 개발에 관한 것이다. 소형 산소발생기는 소형 진공펌프에 의해 진공흡착방식으로 작동된다. 각 구성품을 소형화와 경량화에 맞춰 구성하였으며 토출펌프 회전속도, 노즐 직경, 3-way 밸브 작동시간을 변화시키면서 산소농도와 유량을 최적화하였다. 노즐 직경 0.5mm에서 발생된 산소농도는 약 37%이며 유량은 $1{\ell}$/min이다. 노즐로부터 30cm 떨어진 위치에서 약 0.5%의 농도증가 효과가 나타났다.

빙축열냉방시스템의 운전효율에 관한 조사연구 (Study and Survey of Operating Efficiency with Cool Storage System)

  • 우리나라에 보급된 축냉시스템 이용효율 향상과 전력사용 합리화 방안을 제시함으로써 빙축열 시스템의 보급활성화를 통한 하절기 피크부하 경감에 기여코자 빙축열 설비의 성능시험을 실시한 결과 COP주간 3.8, 축열 3.0대비 30% 이상 성능이 감퇴한 주간 2.6∼3.4, 축열 2.1∼3.0정도로 냉동기가 가동되고 있으며, 축열율은 15개 건물 중 3개 건물(21.4%)만이 축열능력 대비 40% 이상의 축열을 실시하고 있는 것으로 분석되었다. 이처럼 운전성능 감퇴를 개선하기 위하여는 축냉(빙축열)설비 운전시 빈번히 발생하는 3-Way 밸브오동작, 냉각능력 감소, 팽창밸브 동작 부적절, 운전모드별 제어설정 오류 등에 의한 축냉능력 감퇴현상을 시정하고, 냉동기의 브라인배관 By-pass, Ice Slurry system운전모드별 배관분리, 냉온수펌프의 회전수제어 등의 배관계통 개선검토가 필요하며, 축냉(비축열) 시스템특징 별로는 Ice on Coil system은 냉방부하 확장성에 제약, Ice Ball system은 축열조의 수밀유지, Ice lens system의 제빙운전시 COP 저하, Ice Slurry system은 주간 운전시 저온운전에 따른 낮은 COP, Ice Harvest system은 Hot Gas 탈빙으로 동력손실증가 등에 대한 개선이 향후 축냉(빙축열)시스템의 운전성능 향상을 위해 필요한 것으로 도출되었다.

Hemorrhagic Rupture of Arachnoid Cyst into the Intradural Space

  • A 7-year-old boy, diagnosed with an arachnoid cyst and subdural effusion on initial MRI, was admitted with left limb weakness and no history of head trauma. A subsequent follow-up MRI showed different stages of hematoma within multilayered enhancing membranes and in the arachnoid cyst, which was separated by the cerebrospinal fluid cleft. Craniotomy and fenestration of the cyst wall and hematoma removal were performed. The patient was diagnosed as a having a hemorrhagic rupture of an arachnoid cyst into the intradural space, probably via some one-way valve-like defect, based on the MRI and surgical findings. The MRI features and possible mechanism of this rare disease are discussed within the literature review.

공기주입 장치와 공기제거 장치를 사용한 표면 플라즈몬 공명 타원계측기 (Surface Plasmon Resonance Ellipsometry Using an Air Injection System with an Extraction of Air System)

  • 완충용액과 분석시료의 확산으로 발생하는 측정 오차를 최소화하기 위하여 공기주입 장치와 공기제거 장치를 설치한 표면 플라즈 몬 공명 타원계측기(surface plasmon resonance ellipsometer: SPRE)를 새로이 제안하고 이를 제작하였다. SPRE에서 완충용액과 분석시료간의 상호 확산은 분석시료의 농도를 변화시켜 굴절률 측정에 영향을 주고, 이 결과 생체분자 물질의 접합 특성이 명확하게 나타나지 않는다. 이러한 SPRE의 측정 장치에 공기를 주입하는 장치를 추가로 설치하여 두 용액의 확산을 막고, 특히 불필요한 공기가 채널 내부로 유입되어 생기는 잡음신호를 없애기 위하여 공기제거 장치를 사용함으로써 신뢰성 있는 SPRE의 측정 결과를 얻을 수 있음을 확인하였다.

소형 연근해 어선의 조업 시스템 개선에 관한 연구-II -원격 조타 시스템의 설계- (Improved Design in Fishing Operation System for Small Inshore and Coastal Fishing Vessels -II -Design of a Remote Steering System-)

  • A combination steering system was designed to provide the flexibility in controlling the steering wheel in fishing operations of the inshore and coastal fishing vessels. The designed steering system basically is consisted of three driving units, such as a electrically driven hydraulic pump unit with a solenoid control valve, a DC motor driven hydraulic pump unit and a manually driven hydraulic pump unit, and two controllers to provide remote steering on the deck, respectively. The steering torque was measured and analyzed to investigate the dynamic performance of the developed steering system. The steering system showed excellent linearity between the working pressure of cylinder and the torque of rudder post in case of increasing in rudder angle from $5^{\circ} to 35^{\circ}$ that is, the steering torque increased from $10.4 kgf{\cdot}m$ to $105.3 kgf{\cdot}m$ and then the working pressure of cylinder fluctuated from 6.3 kgf/cm super(2) to 16.4 kgf/cm super(2). The steering time of 3.2 sec in remote hydraulic steering by the on/off solenoid valve control was much faster than 13.2 sec in the manual steering by the helmsman and 11.6 sec in the electric steering by a DC motor, and then it was verified that operation of one unit does not affect other units in combination steering system in any way. Furthermore, the developed steering system can be remotely controlled in multiple stations of the deck during the fishing operation and the automatic pilot steering unit can be used to add hydraulic steering.

Consecutive automated production of carbon-11 labeled radiopharmaceuticals by sharing 11C-methylation reagent from one 11C-synthetic module

  • Increasing clinical demand for carbon-11 labeled radiopharmaceuticals has triggered technological advances in fields of radiochemistry and automated modules. Even though carbon-11 has a short half-life ($t_{1/2}=20.4min$), the consecutive second production of carbon-11 labeled radiopharmaceutical in one $^{11}C$-synthetic module should be delayed at least over 4 h to avoid the high radiation exposure. We herein aimed to produce two different carbon-11 labeled radiopharmaceuticals ([$^{11}C$]PIB and [$^{11}C$]methionine) by sharing of [$^{11}C$]methylation source in one $^{11}C$-synthetic module. The synthesis of $^{11}C$-labeling reagents ($[^{11}C]CH_3I$ or $[^{11}C]CH_3OTf$) is fully automated using the commercial TRACERlab $FX_{C-pro}$ module and is readily adaptable to $^{11}C$-labeling reactor for [$^{11}C$]PIB as well as another $^{11}C$-labeling apparatus for [$^{11}C$]methionine via the three-way valve. After completing the [$^{11}C$]PIB production, the re-synthesized $[^{11}C]CH_3I$ was passed through the three-way valve connected the polyetheretherketone (PEEK) line and loaded into the C18 Sep-Pak cartridge including the methionine precursor. The labeled product [^${11}C$]methionine was purified by a simple cartridge separation and reformulated into saline. The radiochemical yield of [$^{11}C$]PIB and [$^{11}C$]methionine were $5.3{\pm}0.6%$ and $18.7{\pm}0.8%$ (n.d.c.), respectively, with over 97% of radiochemical purity. The specific activity of [$^{11}C$]PIB was over $110GBq/{\mu}mol$. Total production time of two radiopharmaceuticals needs about 2 h from $1^{st}$ beam irradiation including quality control tests. Final [$^{11}C$]PIB and [$^{11}C$]methionine were satisfied all quality control test standards.

화학반응기의 안전성 향상을 위한 예방조치 개선에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Improvement of Preventive Measures for Improving the Safety of Chemical Reactor)

  • 화학반응기에 발생한 화재·폭발 사고사례를 기반으로 화학반응기에 설치되어 있는 예방조치의 문제점을 분석하였다. 화학반응기는 다품종의 화학제품을 생산하며, 반응폭주시 급격히 상승하는 압력을 해소하기 위해 파열판을 설치하고 파열판의 기능을 유지하기 위해 배출물질을 대기로 배출하도록 허용하고 있어 화재·폭발사고가 발생하였다. 이를 개선하기 위한 방안으로 안전건전성수준(SIL3)을 기반으로 한 안전계장시스템(SIS)을 화학반응기의 예방조치로 적용하였다. 화학반응기의 원재료를 적하하는 배관에 긴급차단밸브를 직렬로 2개 설치하여 반응폭주시 긴급차단밸브 2개 중 1개만 작동하여도 원재료 공급을 차단할 수 있도록 하고, 반응응제제 공급배관에는 자동 ON/OFF 밸브를 병렬로 설치하여 반응폭주시 1개의 밸브만 열려도 반응억제제가 투입될 수 있게 하였다.

  • This paper describes total flow control of an ice slurry system for pump energy saving. Similar turbo machinery has a characteristic that input power ratio is proportional to the three time of revolution speed ratio. To reduce the energy cost of brine pump in ice slurry storage systems, inverter is adapted instead of 3-way valve to control the speed of brine pump motor. One type of cooling load profile was used as driving load of the system, generated by a boiler and warm water storage tank. As results of the laboratory test, energy consumption and cost of the pump were reduced by 11.4%.
