With the growth of the internet, the number of wireless internet users has increased continuously up to date. However, mobile communications could not support high speed transmission rate with cheap communication fee and wireless LAN has problems in providing terminal mobility and wide area connectivity, respectively. So the WMAN standard has been newly designed to make up for these limits. The initial 802.16 specification effectively offers a solution for providing fixed users with high speed wireless communication but it does not offer terminal mobility. So the 802.16d and 802.16e have been developed as the next generation solution that can support various PHY layer (SC, SCa, OFDM, OFDMA) and offer the terminal mobility. In this paper, we propose an effective uplink scheduling algorithm for VoIP with using UGS, and we show that our proposed algorithm is superior in view of average delay and management of uplink bandwidth to conventional rtPS algorithm and the scheme in reference, with using NS-2 network simulator.

In this paper, we design the function of ULSLE(Upper Layer Shared LAN Emulation) to provide both the efficient LAN service and compatibility with 802.1D bridge in Hybrid two-stage AWG based WDM-PON. The ULSLE layer lies above MAC control layer in order to provide a mean to interface WDM-PON and 802.1D bridge. It also performs LAN emulation based on PON-Tag which is only used to decide both the transmission mode and the destination of frames transmitted from ONUs. That is, the PON-Tag is not used for downstream frames but destination address field in original frame instead. This decreases the processing overhead and complexity caused by PON-Tag at OLT and ONU. The verification of designed ULSLE is performed according to the specific scenarios based on transmission mode and destination using OPNET.

The new conjunctive surface-subsurface flow model at a large scale was developed by using a 1-D Diffusion Wave (DW) model for surface flow interacting with the 3-D Volume Averaged Soil-moisture Transport (VAST) model for subsurface flow for the comprehensive terrestrial water and energy predictions in Land Surface Models (LSMs). A selection of numerical implementation schemes is employed for each flow component. The 3-D VAST model is implemented using a time splitting scheme applying an explicit method for lateral flow after a fully implicit method for vertical flow. The 1-D DW model is then solved by MacCormack finite difference scheme. This new conjunctive flow model is substituted for the existing 1-D hydrologic scheme in Common Land Model (CLM), one of the state-of-the-art LSMs. The new conjunctive flow model coupled to CLM is tested for a study domain around the Ohio Valley. The simulation results show that the interaction between surface flow and subsurface flow associated with the flow routing scheme matches the runoff prediction with the observations more closely in the new coupled CLM simulations. This improved terrestrial hydrologic module will be coupled to the Climate extension of the next-generation Weather Research and Forecasting (CWRF) model for advanced regional, continental, and global hydroclimatological studies and the prevention of disasters caused by climate changes.
Objectives : Ginseng Research Group in Korea Food Research Institute developed Saeng Mac San (KFRI-2)and Je Ho Tang (KFRI-3) with their sensory factors more acceptable. And we examined their effects on the short-term recovery capacity for cycling exercise (EX) maintained to all-out. Methods : Seven healthy young subjects (aged $24.0{\pm}2.1yr$) were volunteered at this double blind test. Each of KFRI-2, 3, a commercial sport beverage and control (CON) was offered randomly on a series of EX protocol including 65% VO2max-90min EX (D-ride). 1h-recovery and 85% VO2max EX to all-out (P-ride) under the control of their heart rate (HR) and rating perception of exertion (RPE). Blood samples were collected before D-ride, 30, 60 and 90min in D-ride, 30 and 60min in the recovery period and each 10min in P-ride. Plasma analysis items were glucose, insulin, cortisol (CORT), testosterone (TEST), free fatty acid (FFA), $Na^+$, Cl-and $K^+$. The collected data (Means${\pm}$SE) were analysed by two-way ANOVA and statistically significant differences between treatments (p<0.05) by LSD.; the significant level in FFA, $Na^+$, Cl-and $Na^+$ was p<0.01 Results : At 30min during recovery. plasma glucose level in KFRI-3 was significantly higher than CON, and also insulin in KFRI-3 was than CON and KFRI-2. FFA in KFRI-3 was significantly lower than CON during recovery. $Na^+$ in KFRI-3 significantly higher than CON at 90min in D-ride, and also KFRI-2 was at 60min during recovery. However CORT, TEST, Cl-and $Na^+$ in treated beverages were not significant. KFRI-2, 3 elevated the time for P-ride more than CON did. Conclusions : KFRI-2, 3 elevated the time for P-ride about 12% more than CON did. It is based on rapid recovery of plasma glucose level and inhibition of lipolysis during recovery.
In this paper, a mathematical framework based on a homogenisation technique to simulate 'umbrella arch reinforcement system' (UARS) and its implementation into a 3D Finite Element program that can consider stage construction situations are presented. The constitutive model developed allows considering the main design parameters of the problem and only requires geometrical and mechanical properties of the constituents. Additionally, the use of a homogenisation approach implies that the generation of the Finite Element mesh can be easily produced and that re-meshing is not required as basic geometrical parameters such as the orientation of the pipes are changed. The model developed is used to simulate tunnelling with the UARS. From the analyses, the effects of the main design parameters on the elastic and the elastoplastic analyses are considered.
Background : Sasang Constitutional Medicine (SCM) is the field of traditional Korean medicine that emphasize four constitutional types for diagnosis and treatment. Appearance, personalities and pathological characteristics are main factors of Sasang constitutional classification. Previous studies carried out by the pulse analyzer showed that the pulse wave can discriminate these types. In addition, It was reported that the pulse wave are affected by age and sexuality. In this study, we investigated the pulse wave characteristics related Sasang constitution types in control group regarding their age and sexuality. Subjects and Method : Two hudred and eighteen volunteers participated in this study: healthy men in $20{\sim}49$ years old. Participants were interviewed and examined to evaluate their health condition and Sasang constitution type. Then they were tested with pulse analyzer when they ere stabilized. The pulse at the radial artery just beside styloid process was measured, because this area is landmark for pulse diagnosis in oriental medicine. 3-D Mac pulse analyzer (Daeyo Medi Co. Ansan. Korea) was used in this study. We analyzed main features of pulse waves with the Sasang condtitution types by the SPSS for Windows (ver 12.0). Results : There was significant difference between Taeum and other types in contact pressure as weil as in coefficient of floating and sinking pulse. Conclusion : By analyzing pulse waves of healthy adult men. we found significant differences exist between Taeum and other types. These pulse differences may characterize Taeum type, and it will be helpful for the evaluation of Taeum type.
Objectives : The purpose of this study is to examine the relationship between the symptoms of primary dysmenorrhea and pulse energy of Chon, Gwan and Cheok. Methods The subjects of this study who had certain range of dysmenorrhea symptom. The degree of dysmenorrhea were assessed by Visual Analog Scale (VAS), Multidimensional Verbal Rating Scale (MVRS), Cox Menstrual Symptom Scale (CMSS) and measured by 3D Blood Pressure Pulse Analyzer(3D-MAC) tests at menstruation start date. Data analysis included descriptive statistics and multiple linear regression using the SPSS/WIN 18.0 program. Results : The induced results are as follows; The induced results are as follows 1. There were no significant relationship between the pulse energy and the sum values of VAS, MVRS and checking part of severity of CMSS. 2. The frequency domain of CMSS were significantly associated with pulse energy. 3. In linear regression models, the model of Left Chon had the especially highest value of explanatory power. (R 2 = 0.517) Conclusions : The pulse energy changes are related to the symptoms of primary dysmenorrhea.

As Simpson et al. (1990) emphasized the importance of the straining process in the stratification and mixing in the estuarine circulation process, various researches have investigated on the relative contribution of each process to the overall potential energy anomaly dynamics. However, many numerical works have done only for two dimensional modeling along channel or the short distance cross sectional three dimensional simulations as Burchard et al. (2008) and the estuarine channel was not simulated so far. But, in the study on the physics of shallow coastal seas, spatial dimension in the three dimensional way affects significantly on results of a particular numerical model. Therefore, the comparison of two and three dimensional models is important to understand the real physics of mixing and stratification in an estuary. Also, as Geyer and MacCready (2013) pointed out that the lateral process seems to be important in determining the periodic stratifications, to study such process the three dimensional modeling must be required. The present study uses a numerical model to show the signification roles of each term of the time-dependent dynamic equation for the potential energy anomaly (PEA) in controlling along and lateral channel flows and different stratification structures. Moreover, we present the relationships between the ${\Phi}$-advection, the depth mean straining, vertical mixing and vertical advection can explain well how water level, salinity distribution and across velocity 2D model are slightly different from 3D.
The load sharing ratio (${\alpha}_{pr}$) of piles is one of the most common problems in the preliminary design of piled raft foundations. A series of 3D numerical analysis are conducted so that special attentions are given to load sharing characteristics under varying conditions, such as pile configuration, pile diameter, pile length, raft thickness, and settlement level. Based on the 3D FE analysis, influencing factors on load sharing behavior of piled raft are investigated. As a result, it is shown that the load sharing ratio of piled raft decreases with increasing settlement level. The load sharing ratio is not only highly dependent on the system geometries of the foundation but also on the settlement level. Based on the results of parametric studies, the load sharing ratio is proposed as a function of the various influencing factors. In addition, the parametric analyses suggest that the load sharing ratios to minimize the differential settlement of piled raft are ranging from 15 to 48% for friction pile and from 15 to 54% for end-bearing pile. The recommendations can provide a basis for an optimum design that would be applicable to piled rafts taking into account the load sharing characteristics.
Earlier in 1935[12], M. S. Robertson introduced the class of quadrant preserving functions. More precisely, let Q be the class of all functions f(z) analytic in the unit disk $D = {z : $\mid$z$\mid$ < 1}$ such that f(0) = 0, f'(0) = 1, and the range f(z) is in the j-th quadrant whenever z is in the j-th quadrant of D, j = 1,2,3,4. This class Q contains the subclass of normalized, odd univalent functions which have real coefficients. On the other hand, this class Q is contained in the class T of odd typically real functions which was introduced by W. Rogosinski [13]. Clearly, if $f \in Q$, then f(z) is real when z is real and therefore the coefficients of f are all real. Recently, it was observed by Y. Abu-Muhanna and T. H. MacGregor [1] that any function $f \in Q$ is odd. Instead of functions "preserving quadrants", the authors [1] have introduced the notion of "preserving sectors".
