  • A 2.8 inch fully integrated SOP employing a high performance LTPS CMOS TFT technology has been developed for mobile display applications. The LCD module is directly interfaced with 3V 6-bit RGB source via timing control circuitry. The integrated data driver comprises a 6-bit hybrid type DAC with low power analog buffer.

  • The experimental loop was designed and installed to measure the disc positions, disc back stop load and differential pressure with flow velocity for 3 inch and 6 inch swing check valves. The tests were performed at various conditions of upstream flow disturbance source and distance from the tested check valves to investigate the effect of the upstream flow conditions on the disc stability of the swing check valves. The selected disturbance sources were elbow, globe valve, and orifice. The experimental results are presented herein.

$CaF_2$ crystal growth for using optical components of laser

  • Large vacuum Bridgman-Stockbarger (BS) equipments was composed for growing large diameter CaF2 crystals. The CaF2 crystal of 4.5-inch was grown under the conditions of freezing temperature gradient of 12$^{\circ}C$/cm and growing rate of 3mm/hr. Also the 6-inch crystal was grown by using thermal stabilization method under freezing temperature gradient of 14$^{\circ}C$/cm and growing rate of 2mm/hr. The dislocation density was characterized for evaluating the quality of crystals. And the optical properties such as transmittance, refractive index and fluorescence were analyzed in order to investigate on the applications of optical components.

  • Recently, the development of mobile devices demands information storage systems to use micro drive devices. 1-inch micro drive hard disk uses the load/unload(L/UL) technology to increase area recording density and reduce power consumption. Because micro drive has light actuator, effects of the flexible cable that is ignored in 3.5-inch hard disk drive is important to load/unload performances. In this paper, effects of flexible cable on load/unload performances are studied.

  • We have fabricated n-p-n HBTs using 3-inchAlgaAs/GaAs hetero structure epi-wafers grown by MBE. DC and AC characteristics of HBT devices were measured and analyzed. For HBT epi-structure, Al composition of emitter was graded in the region between emitter cap and emitter. And base layer was designed with concentration of 1${\times}10^{19}/cm^{3}$ and thickness of 50nm, and Be was used as the p-type dopant. Principal processes for device fabrication consist of photolithography using i-line stepper, wet mesa etching, and lift-off of each ohmic metal. The PECVD SiN film was used as the inslator for the metal interconnection. HBT device with emitter size of 3${\times}10{\mu}m^{2}$ resulted in cut-off frequency of 35GHz, maximum oscillation frequency of 21GHz, and current gain of 60. The distribution of the ideality factor of collector and base current was very uniform, and the average values of off-set voltage and current was very uniform, and the average values of off-set voltage and current gain were 0.32V and 32 within a 3-inch wafer.

  • KAP82 (KHU Auto-guiding software Package for McDonald 82 inch telescope)는 천체망원경의 정밀한 추적을 가능하게 하는 가이드 프로그램으로, 미국 텍사스주에 위치한 McDonald 천문대의 82 inch 망원경에 장착된 광학 및 적외선 영역의 관측기기 SQUEAN (SED camera for Quasars in EArly uNiverse)과 함께 개발되었다. KAP82는 지난 한 해 동안 두 차례의 개정을 통해 프로그램 작동의 안정성을 확보하고, 동시에 가이드의 성능에도 많은 개선이 이루어졌다. 대상 별 중심을 찾는 알고리즘에 따라 KAP82 1.0에서는 가중 평균(weighted mean)을, KAP82 2.0에서는 산술평균을 활용해 자체 개발한 J-J 함수를 사용해 가이드를 구현한 것이 특징이다. 이번에 개발한 KAP82 3.0은 가이드 알고리즘으로 가우스 함수를 채택하고, 제조사가 다른 다수의 상용 CCD카메라 및 망원경과 연결이 가능한 ASCOM Platform에서 작동하므로, 다른 시스템에도 쉽게 적용할 수 있는 장점이 있다. 본 포스터에서는 KAP82 3.0을 소개하면서 기존 KAP82버전들과 KAP82 3.0의 차이로 알아본 서로 다른 알고리즘에 따른 가이드의 정확성을 비교 분석한 결과를 제시한다.

실험계획법을 통한 3.5인치 도광판의 두께 편차 최적화에 대한 연구 (Development of a precision machining process for the outer cylinder of vacuum roll for film transfer)

  • In this study, experimental design methods were used to derive optimal process conditions for improving the thickness uniformity of a 0.40 mm, 3.5 inch light guide panel. Process mapping and expert group analysis were used to identify factors that influence the thickness of injection molded products. The key factors identified were mold temperature, mold temperature, injection speed, packing pressure, packing time, clamp force, and flash time. Considering the resin manufacturer's recommended process conditions and the process conditions for similar light guide plates, a three-level range was selected for the identified influencing factors. L27 orthogonal array process conditions were generated using the Taguchi method. Injection molding was performed using these L27 orthogonal array to mold the 3.5 inch light guide plates. Thickness measurements were then taken, and the results were analyzed using the signal-to-noise ratio to maximize the CpK value, leading to the determination of the optimal process conditions. The thickness uniformity of the product was analyzed by applying the derived optimum process conditions. The results showed a 97.5% improvement in the Cpk value of 3.22 compared to the process conditions used for similar light guide plates.

UBM 마그네트론 스퍼터 시스템을 이용한 구리 타겟의 이온전류밀도 향상 연구 (Development of UBMS(Unbalanced Magnetron Sputtering) System and Ion Current Density Measurement of Copper Target)

  • A 6-way-cross consisting of a 2.75-inch CF flange was used as a main chamber on a PFEIFFER VACUUM TMP station based on a 67 l / sec turbo molecular pump and a diaphragm pump to produce a magnet array with a volume ratio of 5.5: 1.A 1-inch diameter copper target and graphite target were fabricated using MDX-1.5K from Advanced Energy Industries, Inc as a DC power supply. Ion current density of copper target and graphite target was measured by unbalanced magnetron sputtering. The basic pressure condition was $6.3{\times}10^{-7}mbar$ and the process pressure was Ar 50 sccm at $1.0{\times}10^{-2}mbar$ (7.5 mTorr) in the Ar atmosphere. Therefore, the relative density of copper ions reaching the substrate with the measured ion current density was derived.

국내 여성복 브랜드 그레이딩의 연령별 비교에 관한 연구 II (A Study on the Korean Women s Wear Grading by Different Age Groups II)

  • The purpose of this study was to research specific dimensional increments of grading and to support to establish a grading system according to the targets of women's wear manufacturers in Korea. For the questionnaire, 91 women's wear brands, which were in higher ranking of sales, were selected, and the age groups were separated into 3: 20's, 30's, and 40's & 50's, according to their customers. The graders of each brand were questioned about specific dimensional increments of grading fur this research. The results of the study were as follows: 1. Using the most common dimensional increments, 3.81cm(1 f inch) and 5.08cm(2 inch) for upper garments and lower garments, the modes of increments and reference increments for each garment section were suggested. 2. For upper garments, the brands for older women made larger increments of waist girth than for bust girth. This was to cover abdominal obesity. Also, the brands made larger increments of girth than for shoulder breadth. 3. For lower garments, the brands for older women made larger increments of waist girth than fur hip girth. It meant the drop value of hip girth minus waist girth was smaller. The breadths of front and back crotch were also wider.

탕침 온도에 따른 닭고기의 저장성 및 품질 변화 (Effect of the Scalding Temperature at Slaughtering Process on Meat Quality and Storage Properties of Chicken)

  • 도계과정에서 탕침 온도를 저온(53-55$^{\circ}C$), 중온(59-61$^{\circ}C$), 고온(65-67$^{\circ}C$)으로 변화시켰을 때 닭고기의 육질에 미치는 영향과 저장 특성을 구명하고자 실시하였다. 탕침 온도가 높을수록 피부의 황색도(b$^{*}$ )는 감소하는 경향을 나타냈으며, 물리적 변화에서 보수력은 저온(67.043%)에서 고온(69.26%)으로 온도가 높아질수록 증가하는 경향을 나타냈다. 전단력은 저온(1.70kg/0.5inch$^2$)보다 고온 (2.54kg/0.5 inch$^2$)으로 높아질수록 유의적으로(p<0.05) 증가하였다. 저장 3일에 저온 탕침 처리 닭고기의 지방산패도(TBARS) 값은 저온 0.25, 중온 0.24, 고온 0.27mg MA/kg으로 중, 저온에서는 비슷한 경향을 나타났으나 고온에서는 약간 증가한 것으로 나타났다. 총세균수는 저온에서 4.99, 중온 4.88, 고온 4.05 log CFU/mL를 나타나 탕침 온도가 높아질수록 감소하는 경향을 나타내었으나 유의적인 차이는 없었다(p<0.05). 도체 조사에서 깃털의 출현율은 탕침 온도가 높아지면서 큰 것(1cm 이상)은 중온(59-61$^{\circ}C$)부터 현저히 감소하는 경향을 나타냈으나 중온과 고온에서는 차이가 거의 없었다. 외상은 탕침 온도가 61$^{\circ}C$ 이하인 저온, 중온에서는 0.6cm를 나타냈으나 고온처리에서는 7 cm로 급격히 증가하여서 고온처리에 따른 피부의 손상이 심한 것으로 나타났다. 이상의 결과는 탕침 온도가 너무 낮을 경우는 육색 및 물리적 특성은 양호하나 미생물이 증가하고, 깃털이 잘 뽑히지 않는 단점이 있으며, 고온일 경우는 황색도(b$^{*}$ )가 낮아지는 경향을 나타내며, 도체에서 깃털은 잘 뽑혔으나 표피 손상으로 근육의 노출이 많았다.
