스테레오 비전센서를 이용한 차선감지 시스템 연구 (A Study on Lane Sensing System Using Stereo Vision Sensors)

  • Lane Sensing techniques based on vision sensors are regarded promising because they require little infrastructure on the highway except clear lane markers. However, they require more intelligent processing algorithms in vehicles to generate the previewed roadway from the vision images. In this paper, a lane sensing algorithm using vision sensors is developed to improve the sensing robustness. The parallel stereo-camera is utilized to regenerate the 3-dimensional road geometry. The lane geometry models are derived such that their parameters represent the road curvature, lateral offset and heading angle, respectively. The parameters of the lane geometry models are estimated by the Kalman filter and utilized to reconstruct the lane geometry in the global coordinate. The inverse perspective mapping from the image plane to the global coordinate considers roll and pitch motions of a vehicle so that the mapping error is minimized during acceleration, braking or steering. The proposed sensing system has been built and implemented on a 1/10-scale model car.

비드 높이 및 조인트 추적의 실시간 제어 연구 (A Study on Real-time Control of Bead Height and Joint Tracking)

  • There have been continuous efforts to automate welding processes. This automation process could be said to fall into two categories, weld seam tracking and weld quality evaluation. Recently, the attempts to achieve these two functions simultaneously are on the increase. For the study presented in this paper, a vision sensor is made, and using this, the 3 dimensional geometry of the bead is measured in real time. For the application in welding, which is the characteristic of nonlinear process, a fuzzy controller is designed. And with this, an adaptive control system is proposed which acquires the bead height and the coordinates of the point on the bead along the horizontal fillet joint, performs seam tracking with those data, and also at the same time, controls the bead geometry to a uniform shape. A communication system, which enables the communication with the industrial robot, is designed to control the bead geometry and to track the weld seam. Experiments are made with varied offset angles from the pre-taught weld path, and they showed the adaptive system works favorable results.

  • 후쿠시마와 같은 방사선 누출 사고 시 방사선원의 위치를 찾는 일은 방사선 방호 뿐만 아니라 원전 사고의 조속하고 안전한 처리를 위해서도 중요하다. 방사선원의 3차원 위치 탐지는 기존에 방사선 탐지기의 2차원적 방사선 위치 탐지기능에 방사선원의 거리정보까지 추가 제공할 수 있어 방사선 오염원의 제거 및 제염작업에 결정적 역할을 할 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 반도체 센서에 기반한 듀얼(Dual) 방사선 탐지기를 이용한 방사선원 3차원 가시장치 개발 연구의 일환으로 방사선 센서부의 효율적 차폐체 구조설계에 관한 결과를 논하였다. 고하중의 텅스텐 또는 납 차폐체를 MCNP기반으로 최적구조로 설계함으로써 경량의 고효율 방사선원 위치탐지기 구현을 시도하였고, 이를 위해 차폐체의 구조와 두께, 그리고 콜리메이터에 형상의 다양한 변수모델에 대한 방사선 차폐시뮬레이션을 수행하였다. 본 연구의 결과는 향후 실리콘 센서기반의 소형 경량의 3차원 방사선원 탐지 및 가시화 연구에 활용될 예정이다.

3차원 이온 주입 시뮬레이터 개발에 관한 연구 (A Study of Three Dimensional Ion Implantation Simulator)

  • We developed three dimensional Monte carlo ion implantation simulator which simulate distributions of impurities under the ion implantation on the tilted multi-layered layer. Our simulation reveals three dimensional shadow effect and sidewall scattering effect due to the geometrical shapes. For the evaluation of the developed three dimensional Monte carlo ion implantation simulator, calculations with 100,000 ions have been performed for the island and hole structures with a thin oxide of 100$\AA$ and nitride of 2000$\AA$. The simulation results showed that the distribution of ion decreases near the conner of the hole structure covered with a nitride layer and increases near the conner for the island structure open to oxide. Moreover, three dimensional distributions of ions were obtained with varying incident energy, tilt and rotation angle, mask depth and three-dimensional structure geometry.

라디에이터용 납작관의 최적형상 도출을 위한 열.유동해석 (Flow and Thermal Analyses for the Optimal Specification of Flat Tube at Radiator)

  • The flow and thermal phenomena in flat tubes of radiator are analyzed numerically. To predict the characteristics of heat transfer and pressure drop, the flow analysis program for three-dimensional complex geometry is developed, which adopted an non-staggered grid system and Cartesian velocities as dependent variables of the momentum equations. Using the developed program, the effect of tube specifications on the heat transfer characteristics is investigated for various flat tubes. From this study, the following results are obtained; (1) For the same hydraulic diameter($D_h{\doteq}5.2$mm), the Nusselt numbers of three basic modeis(D, J, and H-model) are 8.71, 8.92, and 10.58, respectively, and the pressure drops of D-, J-, and H-model are predicted as $-3.08{\times}10^{-2}\;Pa,\;-3.12{\times}10^{-2}\;Pa,\;and\; -3.98{\times}10^{-2}$ Pa, (2) In case of the same flat tube specification, the fins must be brazed at upper tube surface because the heat is more vividly transferred. Therefore, it is found that the H- model is the most effective tube as a heat exchanger and these results are used as a fundamental data for the design of tube.

Analysis of Three-Dimensional Cracks in Inhomogeneous Materials Using Fuzzy Theory

  • This paper describes a fuzzy-based system for analyzing the stress intensity factors (SIFs) of three-dimensional (3D) cracks. 3D finite element method(FEM) was used to obtain the SIF for subsurface cracks and surface cracks existing in inhomogeneous materials. A geometry model, i.e. a solid containing one or several 3D cracks is defined. Several distributions of local node density are chosen, and then automatically superposed on one another over the geometry model by using the fuzzy theory. Nodes are generated by the bucketing method, and ten-noded quadratic tetrahedral solid elements are generated by the Delaunay triangulation techniques. The singular elements such that the mid-point nodes near crack front are shifted at the quarter-points, and these are automatically placed along the 3D crack front. The complete FE model is generated, and a stress analysis is performed. The SIFs are calculated using the displacement extrapolation method. The results were compared with those surface cracks in homogeneous materials. Also, this system is applied to analyze cladding effect of surface cracks in inhomogeneous materials.

  • Any given object on the motor-driven turntable is pictured from 8 to 72 different views with a digital camera. 3D shape reconstruction is performed with the integrated software called by Scanware from these multiple digital photographs. There are several steps such as configuration, calibration, capturing, segmentation, shape creation, texturing and merging process during the shape reconstruction process. 3D geometry data can be exported to cad data such as Autocad input file. Also 3D image model is generated from 3D geometry and texture data, and is used to advertise the model in the internet environment. Consumers can see the object realistically from wanted views by rotating or zooming in the internet browsers with Scanbull spx plug-in. The spx format allows a compact saving of 3D objects to handle or download. There are many types of scan equipments such as laser scanners and photogrammetric scanners. Line or point scan methods by laser can generate precise 3D geometry but cannot obtain color textures in general. Reversely, 3D image modeling with photogrammetry can generate not only geometries but also textures from associated polygons. We got various 3D image models and introduced the process of getting 3D image model of an internet-connected watchdog robot.

  • Numerical simulations are made for the three-dimensional flow around a wing in ground effect craft haying the complex geometry. A numerical tool is developed for the primary design of hull and wing shape of practical Wing-In-Ground effect(WIG) stop. The finite-difference method is utilized to descretize the governing equations and pressure field is obtained by using Marker-And-Cell(MAC) method. The air and water flows are simultaneously simulated in the time-marching solution procedure for the Navier-Stokes equation. The porosity technique and the density function are devised for the implementation of the three-dimensional body-boundary and the free-surface conditions, respectively. In this paper, a craft is modeled simply by three blocks containing a wing mounted on a main body horizontally, with the endplate. The numerical calculations of a WIG advancing in a calm water are performed and the WIG-generated wave profiles are also obtained. In the final paper, details of the numerical methods employed for the present study and calculated results are discussed.

3차원 2진 로봇 머니퓰레이터의 역기구학적 해석 (Inverse Kinematic Analysis of a Three Dimensional Binary Robot Manipulator)

  • A three dimensional binary parallel robot manipulator uses actuators which have only two stable states and its structure is variable geometry truss. As a result, it has a finite number of states and fault tolerant mechanism because of kinematic redundancy. This kind of robot manipulator has some advantages compared to a traditional one. Feedback control is not required, task repeatability can be very high, and finite state actuators are generally inexpensive. Because the number of states of a binary robot manipulator grows exponentially with the number of actuators it is very difficult to solve and inverse kinematic problem. The goal of this paper is to develop an efficient algorithm to solve an inverse kinematic problem of three dimensional binary parallel robot manipulator using a backbone curve when the number of actuators are too much. We first derive the coordinate transformations associated with a three degree of freedom in-parallel actuated robot manipulator. The backbone curve is generated optimally by considering the maximum roll and pitch angles of the robot manipulator configuration and length of link. Then, the robot manipulator is fitted along the backbone curve with some criterion.

  • 구조적 생물 정보학 분야는 단백질의 3차원 구조를 대상으로 단백질을 연구하는 분야이며, 구조적생물 정보학의 중요한 분야 중의 하나는 단백질 3차원 구조 가시화이다. 단백질의 3차원 구조를 규명하는 장비의 발달로, 규명되는 단백질의 크기와 개수가 증가함에 따라, 고성능의 단백질 가시화 시스템의 필요성도 크게 증가하였으나, 기존의 단백질 구조 가시화 시스템은 3차원 그래픽 하드웨어에 최적화 되지 못하여, 거대 단백질의 가시화에 충분한 성능을 가지지 못하였다. 본 논문에서 제안하는 단백질 3차원 구조 가시화 시스템은 거대 단백질의 가시화 하기 위하여, 3차원 그래픽 하드웨어의 최적화 기법중의 하나인 기하 인스턴싱 기법을 사용하여 빠르게 거대 단백질을 렌더링 한다. 성능 실험에서 7종의 다른 크기의 단백질을 대상으로, 4가지 가시화 방법에 대하여, 제안하는 시스템과 기존의 시스템과의 단백질 렌더링 성능 비교 실험을 하여, 대부분의 경우 우수한 성능을 보였다.
