This paper has been presented the transport characteristics of FinFET using the analytical potential model based on the Poisson's equation in subthreshold and threshold region. The threshold voltage is the most important factor of device design since threshold voltage decides ON/OFF of transistor. We have investigated the variations of threshold voltage and drain induced barrier lowing according to the variation of geometry such as the length, width and thickness of channel. The analytical potential model derived from the three dimensional Poisson's equation has been used since the channel electrostatics under threshold and subthreshold region is governed by the Poisson's equation. The appropriate boundary conditions for source/drain and gates has been also used to solve analytically the three dimensional Poisson's equation. Since the model is validated by comparing with the three dimensional numerical simulation, the subthreshold current is derived from this potential model. The threshold voltage is obtained from calculating the front gate bias when the drain current is $10^{-6}A$.
A true three-dimensional cone-beam reconstruction (TTCR) algorithm for the complete sphere geometry is derived, which is applicable to the direct volume image reconstruction from 2-D cone-beam projections. The algorithm is based on the modified filtered backprojection technique which uses a set of 2-D space-invariant filters and is derived from the previously developed parallel-beam true three-dimensional reconstruction(TTR) algorithm. The proposed algorithm proved to be superior in spatial resolution compared with the parallel-beam TTR algorithm.

This paper proposes an Molding error compensation method that improves accuracy with geometry information of injected parts using three-dimensional measuring instrument. a traditional mold design has been conducted by an experience-based trial and error, whereby generally the mold designer would decide the gate location and processing conditions. as a natural consequence, almost all creats inferior goods. It's just a process of trial and error and caught in a vicious circle. Due to this reason, this paper uses a three-dimensional measuring instrument, a commercial analysis package of injection molding(Moldflow, MPI) to analysis a state of flux. In addition to that axiomatic approach.
In this study a new simplified three-dimensional numerical method and the associated computer program have been developed to simulate the non-axisymmetric extrusion processes. The two-dimensional rigid-plastic finite element method under the generalized plane-strain condition is combined with the slab method. To define the die geometry for a non-axisymmetric extrusion. area mapping technique was used. Streamlined die surface was used to minimize the total extrusion pressure. Extrusion of square, hexagonal and 'T' section from round billet have been simulated and experimented with a model material. The computed results were in good agreement with the experiments in cross-sectional grid distortion. Computational results will be valuable for designing tool geometries and corresponding processes.
Shape optimization of the 3-dimensional WIG airfoil with 3.0-aspect ratio has been performed by using the multi-objective genetic algorithm. The WIG ship effectively floating above the surface by the ram effect and the virtual additional aspect ratio by a ground is one of next-generation and cost-effective transportations. Unlike the airplane flying out of the ground effect, a WIG ship has possibility to capsize because of unsatisfying the static stability. The WIG ship should satisfy aerodynamic properties as well as a static stability. They tend to strong contradict and it is difficult to satisfy aerodynamic properties and static stability simultaneously. It is inevitable that lift force has to scarify to obtain a static stability. Multi-objective optimization technique that the individual objectives are considered separately instead of weighting can overcome the conflict. Due to handling individual objectives, the optimum cannot be unique but a set of nondominated potential solutions: pareto optimum. There are three objectives; lift coefficient, lift-to-drag ratio and static stability. After a few evolutions, the non-dominated pareto individuals can be obtained. Pareto sets are all the set of possible and excellent solution across the design space. At any selections of the pareto set, these are no better solutions in all design space
The purpose of this study is to analyze traditional stereo images (stereopsis), and study electronic methods to create stereo images using computer graphics technology on visualization of computer. Computer system can process image data and show results on its display. In the early days of computer era, most scientific research data was printed on paper as a procession of digits. These days, the visualization of computer graphics has a precise and realistic quality in its imaging technology. Some technological advances have been developed to not only display 2-dimensional geometry but also 3-dimensional stereo images to simulate virtual reality. In this study, [ have discussed the history of stereopsis, principles of stereo images and technological developments. Also I analyzed the components of stereo images, optical and electronic methods and visual systems which are used in computer graphics technology. I developed my own theories on possibilities for new methods of 3-dimensional stereo images.
We consider a 3-dimensional Riemannian manifold M with a circulant metric g and a circulant structure q satisfying $q^3=id$. The structure q is compatible with g such that an isometry is induced in any tangent space of M. We introduce three classes of such manifolds. Two of them are determined by special properties of the curvature tensor. The third class is composed by manifolds whose structure q is parallel with respect to the Levi-Civita connection of g. We obtain some curvature properties of these manifolds (M, g, q) and give some explicit examples of such manifolds.
Rock joint system makes a heavy effect on the behavior of rock structures. The definition of a 3D rock joint system is very important in 2D or 3D numerical analysis for the prediction of the behavior of a discontinuous rock mass. To enhance the reality of a 3D definition of rock joint system, it is essential to estimate the unbiased statistics of basic geometric attributes of rock joints. In this study, we have proposed the statistical analysis and derived the related equations for an estimation of statistics of joint size and intensity. Geometry of rock joints in 3 dimensional space can be defined by the aggregate of location, size, orientation and intensity. The dimensional limit of survey method and its data makes 3D geometric attributes probabilistic. In the estimation of statistics of joint size, we have discussed the technique to correct the bias from a dimensional limit and derived the equation of 3D joint intensity by stereological approaches.
Previous works related to texture coordinate coding of the three-dimensional(3-D) mesh models employed the same predictor as the geometry coder. However, discontinuities in the texture coordinates cause unreasonable prediction. Especially, discontinuities become more serious for the 3-D mesh model with a non-atlas texture image. In this paper, we propose a new coding scheme to remove discontinuities in the texture coordinates by reallocating texture segments according to a coding order. Experiment results show that the proposed coding scheme outperforms the MPEG-4 3DMC standard in terms of compression efficiency. The proposed scheme not only overcome the discontinuity problem by regenerating a texture image, but also improve coding efficiency of texture coordinate compression.

Shock-wave focusing from a two-dimensional parabolic reflector was simulated using an explicit finite volume upwind TVD scheme. Computations were performed for three different incident shock speeds of $M_s$ = 1.1, 1.2 and 1.3, corresponding to the relatively weak, intermediate, and strong shock waves, respectively. Numerical solutions nicely resolved all the waves evolving through the focusing process. As the incident shock strength increase, a transition was observed in the shock-fronts geometry that was caused by the change in the reflection type of converging shock fronts on the axis of symmetry, from regular-type to Mach-type reflection. The computed maximum on-axis pressure amplification and the trajectories of three-wave intersections showed good agreement with experimental results. The strong nonlinear effect near the focal region which determines the shock-fronts geometries at and behind the focus and at the same time confines the pressure amplification at the focus was clearly revealed from the present numerical simulation.
