  • Our study explores the connection between the Pythagorean theorem and the Fixed-point theorem in metric spaces. Both of which center around the concepts of distance transformations and point relationships. The Pythagorean theorem deals with right triangles in Euclidean space, emphasizing distances between points. In contrast, fixed-point theorems pertain to the points that remain unchanged under specific transformations thereby preserving distances. The article delves into the intrinsic correlation between these concepts and presents a novel study in Euclidean metric spaces, examining the relationship between contraction mapping and Pythagorean Right Triangles. Practical applications are also discussed particularly in the context of image compression. Here, the integration of the Pythagorean right triangle paradigm with contraction mappings results in efficient data representation and the preservation of visual data relation-ships. This illustrates the practical utility of seemingly abstract theories in addressing real-world challenges.

  • In this paper some properties of sequentially closed sets and $k$-closed sets in a topological space are discussed, it is shown that a space is a $k$-quotient image of a metric space if and only if its each sequentially closed set is $k$-closed, and some related examples about connectedness are obtained.

  • In this paper, we shall consider some properties of the metric projection as a set valued mapping. For a set G in a metric space E, the mapping 𝜋G; x → 𝜋G(x) of E into 2G is called set valued metric projection of E onto G. We investigated the properties related to the projection PS(·)(·) and 𝜋S(·)(·) as one-sided best simultaneous approximations.

  • The concepts of new classes of mappings are introduced in the spaces which are more general space than the usual metric spaces. The existence and uniqueness of common fixed points and fixed point results are established in the setting of complete complex valued b-metric spaces. An illustration is given by establishing the existence of solution of periodic differential equations in the framework of a complete complex valued b-metric spaces.

  • In this paper we establish two common fixed point theorems in fuzzy metric spaces. These theorems are generalisations of the Banach contraction mapping principle and the Kannan's fixed point theorem respectively in fuzzy metric spaces. Our result is also supported by examples.

  • The object of this paper is to introduce the notion of semi-compatible maps in fuzzy metric spaces, fuzzy 2-metric spaces and fuzzy 3-metric spaces and to establish three common fixed point theorems for these spaces for four self-maps. These results improve, extend and generalize the results of [16]. As an application, these results have been used to obtain translation and generalization of Grabeic's contraction principle in the new settings. All the result presented in this paper are new.
