This study was carried out to investigate the vascular plants of the protected area for forest genetic resource conservation in the Korea national Baekdudaegan arboretum. The vascular plants collected 12 times (from April 2007 to August 2014) were consisted of total 569 taxa; 89 families, 289 genera, 489 species, 5 subspecies, 66 varieties and 9 forms respectively. The 20 taxa of Korean endemic plants and 21 taxa of Korean rare plants were investigated. The floristic regional indicator plants found in this area were 112 taxa comprising 2 taxa of grade V, 8 taxa of grade IV, 23 taxa of grade III, 40 taxa of grade II, 39 taxa of grade I. The introduced and naturalized plants were counted as 22 taxa, therefore naturalized ratio was 3.8%. 577 taxa listed consists of 223 taxa (39.2%) of edible plants, 168 taxa (29.5%) of medicinal plants, 202 taxa (35.5%) of pasture plants, 58 taxa (10.2%) of ornamental plants, 26 taxa (4.6%) of timber plants, 5 taxa (0.9%) of fiber plants and 4 taxa (0.7%) of industrial plants.
Security has become an issue due to the rapid increases in internet traffic data network. Especially P2P traffic data poses a great challenge to network systems administrators. Preemptive measures are necessary for network quality of service(QoS) and efficient resource management like blocking suspicious traffic data. Deep packet inspection(DPI) is the most exact way to detect an intrusion but it may pose a private security problem that requires time. We used several machine learning methods to compare the performance in classifying network traffic data accurately over time. The Random Forest method shows an excellent performance in both accuracy and time.

This study was conducted to prepare basic data by analyzing the biological values and environmental factors of algific talus slope in order to respond to climate change due to the greenhouse effect, and to establish plans for forest biodiversity preserving and managing. Meteorological information was measured and the flora of vascular plants were investigated for six algific talus slope by seasonally from 2020 to 2021. As a result of the investigation, the temperature of all 6 algific talus slope was lower than that of the area where the algific talus slope was located in summer, and flora was 101 families, 350 genera, 621 species, 18 subspecies, 57 variants, 7 varieties, 703 taxa. In sum, it is judged that the algific talus slope has sufficient reasons and value to be preserved because it has excellent micrometeorological value from the cold wind blowing in summer and phytogeographical value in which various plants live in a small area. However, in spite of such an important area, the management of algific talus slope is insufficient, and the algific talus slope is damaged or the ecosystem of the algific talus slope is disturbed. Therefore, it is necessary to establish a systematic conservation and management plan by designating algific talus slope as a forest genetic resource reserve and OECM.
Surveys were conducted to study nationwide distribution and identify habitats and host plants of Cuscuta pentagona Engelm. as a parasite. The major habitat types were arable land near agricultural waterways (54.3%), open field near roadside (41.3%) and artificial grassland (4.3%). The investigated host plants of Cuscuta pentagona consist of total 130 taxa: 10 varieties, 1 subspecies, 119 species, 95 genera, and 37 families. Among them, 30 taxa were alien plants. As for the useful plants, there were 59 taxa of edible ones (45.4%), 54 taxa of medicinal ones (41.5%), 13 taxa of ornamental ones (10%), 13 taxa of industrial ones (10%), and 9 taxa of pasture ones (6.9%). On arable land, it caused damage particularly to the growth of agricultural crops such as Oryza sativa L. (Rice) and fruits such as Malus pumila Mill. (Apple) etc. Its growth and distribution may cause economic loss for crops because of the close location of the arable land.

This study was carried out to elucidate the distribution of vascular plants and their usefulness of Mt. Cheongnyangsan (870 m) in Gyeongsangbuk-do. The vascular plants that were collected 16 times 2006 and 2014 consisted a total of 614 taxa; 97 families, 330 genera, 541 species, 3 subspecies, 61 varieties and 9 forms. For the Korean endemic plants, 21 taxa were recorded and 8 taxa of Vulnerable Species (VU) and 5 taxa of Least Concerned species (LC) categorized by the Korean Forest Service as rare plants were investigated in this region. Furthermore, Ⅴ, Ⅳ, Ⅲ degrees of floristic regional indicator plants designated by the Korean Ministry of Environment included 2 taxa, 10 taxa and 18 taxa, respectively. Moreover, four species of distributional interesting plants, Aconitum austro-koreense Koidz., Allium spirale Willd., Dipsacus japonicus Miq. and Pinellia tripartita (Blume) Schott, in Mt. Cheongnyangsan were discovered by this study. Among them, edible, pasturing, medicinal, ornamental, timber, dye, fiber and unknown usefulness plants included 234 taxa, 213 taxa, 174 taxa, 62 taxa, 16 taxa, 12 taxa, 11 taxa and 167 taxa, respectively. In addition, 32 taxa of naturalized plants were observed.

This study was conducted using deep learning technology to classify for 'Mihwang' peach maturity with RGB images and fruit quality attributes during fruit development and maturation periods. The 730 images of peach were used in the training data set and validation data set at a ratio of 8:2. The remains of 170 images were used to test the deep learning models. In this study, among the fruit quality attributes, firmness, Hue value, and a* value were adapted to the index with maturity classification, such as immature, mature, and over mature fruit. This study used the CNN (Convolutional Neural Networks) models for image classification; VGG16 and InceptionV3 of GoogLeNet. The performance results show 87.1% and 83.6% with Hue left value in VGG16 and InceptionV3, respectively. In contrast, the performance results show 72.2% and 76.9% with firmness in VGG16 and InceptionV3, respectively. The loss rate shows 54.3% and 62.1% with firmness in VGG16 and InceptionV3, respectively. It considers increasing for adapting a field utilization with firmness index in peach.
Species invasions have rapidly increased due to the substantial growth of global trade in the recent past. As the awareness of the negative effects on natural ecosystems derived from alien species has grown, many countries and lawmakers have enacted rules and policies on the conservation of indigenous plants. Unfortunately, in Korea, research on species invasion is seriously lacking despite the growing number of alien species. In the current study, we report alien plants that have intentionally and/or unintentionally been introduced in Korea and also presented a checklist of invasive plants found both in the literature and in field surveys. We reviewed all documented records of alien plants, i.e., scientific papers, illustrated books, and annual reports. We also categorized alien plants by origin, time of introduction, naturalization, and the rate of their spread. The results revealed that there are 619 alien plant taxa (96 families, 353 genera, 595 species, 6 subspecies, 11 varieties, 1 forma, and 6 hybrids) occurring in Korea. Among these, 30 taxa are archaeophytes (Arc.), 214 are potentially invasive plants (PIPs), and 375 are invasive alien plants (IAPs). In addition, IAP taxa consist of grades 5 (widespread, WS) to 1 (potential spread, PS) of alien plants according to the rate of spread in Korea. Our results suggested that the number of alien plants is likely to keep growing; thus, the distribution should be regularly monitored and the list of alien plants must be updated.
