Injectable hydrogels are quite promising materials due to their potential to minimize invasive implantation and this provides versatile fitness irrespective of the damaged regions and facilitates the incorporation of bioactive agents or cells. In situ gel formation through stereocomplex formation is a promising candidate for injectable hydrogels. In this paper, a new series of enantiomeric, four-arm, PEG-PLA block copolymers and their stereocomplexed hydrogels were prepared by bulk ring-opening polymerization of D-lactide and L-lactide, respectively, with stannous octoate as a catalyst. The prepared polymers were characterized by $^1H$ nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectroscopy, Fourier-transform infrared (FT IR) spectroscopy, gel permeation chromatography (GPC) and thermal gravitational analysis (TGA), confirming the tailored structure and chain lengths. The swelling and degradation behavior of the hydrogels formed from a selected copolymer series were observed in different concentrations. The degradation rate decreased with increasing polymer content in the solution. The rheological behavior indicated that the prepared hydrogel underwent in situ gelation and had favorable mechanical strength. In addition, its feasibility as an injectable scaffold was evaluated using a media dependence test for cell culture. A Tris solution was more favorable for in situ gel formation than PBS and DMEM solutions were. These results demonstrated the in situ formation of hydrogel through the construction of a stereocomplex with enantiomeric, 4-arm, PEG-PLA copolymers. Overall, enantiomeric, 4-arm, PEG-PLA copolymers are a new species of stereocomplexed hydrogels that are suitable for further research into injectable hydrogels.

In this paper, we propose a new structure modeling algorithm from 3D cloud points of terrestrial LADAR data. Terrestrial LIDAR data have various obstacles which make it difficult to apply conventional algorithms designed for air-borne LIDAR data. In the proposed algorithm, the field data are separated into several clusters by adopting the structure extraction method which uses color information and Hough transform. And cluster based Delaunay triangulation technique is sequentially applied to model the artificial structure. Each cluster has its own priority and it makes possible to determine whether a cluster needs to be considered not. The proposed algorithm not only minimizes the effects of noise data but also interactively controls the level of modeling by using cluster-based approach.

This paper proposes a coordinate correction technique using the transformation of 3D parabolic coordinate function and BP(Back Propagation) neural network in order to solve space distortion problem caused by using catadioptric camera. Although Catadioptric camera can obtain omni-directional image at all directions of 360 degrees, it makes an image distorted because of an external form of lens itself. Accordingly, To obtain transformed ideal distance coordinate information from distorted image on 3 dimensional space, we use coordinate transformation function that uses coordinates of a focus at mirror in the shape of parabolic plane and another one which projected into the shape of parabolic from input image. An error of this course is modified by BP neural network algorithm.
Flat-panel detector (FPD) used in digital radiographic imaging systems was used to perform a quantitative power spectrum evaluation as a result of the thickness change of polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA), a tissue equivalent. As the PMMA thickness increases with the resolution-chart phantom image, the effect of the scattering line increases, indicating that the modulation characteristics decrease, and the image is bright. The results show that the noise of the image increases, and noise-power spectral images are obtained by Fourier transform to confirm by spatial frequency. Thus, it can be verified that the PMMA thickness and noise are proportional through the result of evaluating the change of resolution characteristics and representing the 2D noise-power spectrum as one-dimensional values by evaluating the change of scattering line with MTF as the PMMA thickness increases in the image.
The expression of Aspergillus nidulans glyceraldehyde-3-phosphate dehydrogenase (gpdA) and trpC promoters in A. oryzae were compared using E. coli lacZ gents fusions. The specific activities of the expressed E. coli $\beta$-galactosidase in A. oryzae transformants containing the A. nidulans gpdA promoter were around 2,000 units per ug of protein. The specific activities of transformants containing the A. nidulans trpC promoter were very low, ranging from 10.5 to 52.3 units per ug of protein. These results showed that the expression of the A. nidulans gpdA promoter in A. oryzae was approximately 70 times greater than the A. nidulans trpC promoter. In western blot analysis, immunoreactive bands of a imlilar molecular weight as the E. coli $\beta$-galactosidase were observed in A. oryzae carrying the gpdA-lacZ fusion and to a lesser intensity in those carrying the tvpC-lacZ fusion. Southern analysis showed that the higher expression of the gpdA-lacZ fusion as compared to the trpC-lacZ fusion was not due a greater number of integrated plasmids.
We propose a fast inter-layer mode decision method by utilizing coding information of base layer upward its enhancement layer inscalable video coding (SVC), also called MPEG-4 part 10 Advanced Video Coding Amendment 3 or H.264 Scalable Extension (SE) which is being standardized. In this paper, when the motion vectors from the base layer have zero motion (0, 0) in inter-layer motion prediction or the Integer Transform coefficients of the residual between current MB and the motion compensated MB by the predicted motion vectors from the base layer are all zero, the block mode of the corresponding block to be encoded at the enhancement layer is determined to be the $16{\times}16$ mode. In addition, if the predicted mode of the MB to be encoded at the enhancement layer is not equal to the $16{\times}16$ mode, then the rate-distortion optimization is only performed on the reduced candidated modes which are same or smaller partitioned modes. Our proposed method exhibits the complexity reduction in encoding time up to 72%. Nevertheless, it shows negligible PSNR degradation and bit rate increase up to 0.25dB and 1.73%, respectively.
In this study, carbon nanotubes (CNTs) were grown on glass substrates coated with Ni/Cr by an atmospheric pressure plasma enhanced chemical vapor deposition(AP-PECVD) and their structural and electrical characteristics were investigated as a possible application to the field emitter of field emission display (FED) devices. The substrate temperature ($400{\sim}500^{\circ}C$) were varied and the grown CNTs were multi wall CNTs (at $500^{\circ}C$, 15 - 20 layers of graphene sheets, distance of each layer : 0.3nm, inner diameter: 10 - 15nm, outer diameter: 30 - 40nm). The ratio of defective carbon peak to graphite carbon peak of the CNTs grown at $500^{\circ}C$ (C measured by fourier transform(FT)-Raman was 0.772 $I_D / I_G$ ratio. When field emission properties were measured, the turn-on field was $2.92V/{\mu}m$ and the emission field at $1mA/cm^2$ was $5.325V /{\mu}m$.

The late 20th century saw the industrial period end only to transform into the digital era where people have begun to pay attention to craft because it a field that respects emotion as the essential value, an alternative to overcome the side effect that people have created. Today a new world - where the virtual and the real co-exist through artificial intelligence (AI) - has suddenly approached us and the future of craft is faced with a new situation as it needs to present a new creative solution as a tool that is necessary for human way of life - a tool that has been a necessity throughout history and the evolution of life. As a result for a continued development, craft attempts to establish a new paradigm through current trends represented by our modern society, which is the emergence of creative development through convergence. This study presents creative experiments attempted through the convergence of craft with other heterogeneous tendencies connected to the field. The objective of the study is to enable makers to acquire a more creative way of thinking at the same time as inspiring them and suggesting new creative possibilities in order to develop their work through creative convergence. In Chapter 2, the study investigates on the current status of craft in general, and compares it with what is taking place in Korea; in Chapter 3 the significance of convergence in craft and the process of creating is addressed through case studies. Lastly in Chapter 4, with the basis on analytical case studies, the attribute and the potential of convergence in the field of craft is observed. By analyzing different phenomena presented through attempts to converge in contemporary craft, it has been possible to view the future of the 21st century craft through assessments on what is active and what is as yet hidden potential.
The objective of this research was to elucidate the physicochemical, structural, pasting and rheological properties of potato starch isolated from a foreign potato cultivar ('Atlantic') and new domestic potato cultivars ('Goun', 'Sebong', and 'Jinsun'). Scanning electron microscopy (SEM), X-ray diffraction (XRD), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR), and one-dimensional nuclear magnetic resonance (1D NMR) showed that the structural properties of potato starch did not vary significantly with cultivars. RVA analysis demonstrated that the 'Atlantic' starch had the highest breakdown viscosity among all potato starches. In steady shear rheological analysis, all potato starch dispersions showed shear-thinning behaviors (n =0.63-0.72) at $25^{\circ}C$. The highest apparent viscosity (${\eta}_{a,5}$), consistency index (K), and yield stress (${\sigma}_{oc}$) were observed in the 'Goun' starch dispersion. In dynamic shear rheological analysis, storage modulus (G') and loss modulus (G") values of new domestic potato starch dispersions were higher than those of the 'Atlantic' starch dispersion.

It is an essential to predict water usage for establishing an optimal supply operation plan and reducing power consumption. However, the water usage by consumer has a non-linear characteristics due to various factors such as user type, usage pattern, and weather condition. Therefore, in order to predict the water consumption, we proposed the methodology linking various techniques that can consider non-linear characteristics of water use and we called it as KWD framework. Say, K-means (K) cluster analysis was performed to classify similar patterns according to usage of each individual consumer; then Wavelet (W) transform was applied to derive main periodic pattern of the usage by removing noise components; also, Deep (D) learning algorithm was used for trying to do learning of non-linear characteristics of water usage. The performance of a proposed framework or model was analyzed by comparing with the ARMA model, which is a linear time series model. As a result, the proposed model showed the correlation of 92% and ARMA model showed about 39%. Therefore, we had known that the performance of the proposed model was better than a linear time series model and KWD framework could be used for other nonlinear time series which has similar pattern with water usage. Therefore, if the KWD framework is used, it will be possible to accurately predict water usage and establish an optimal supply plan every the various event.
