The Proposal Method of ARINC-429 Linkage for Efficient Operation of Tactical Stations in P-3C Maritime Patrol Aircraft (P-3C 해상초계기용 전술컴퓨터의 효율적 운영을 위한 ARINC-429 연동 방법)

  • The P-3C maritime patrol aircraft operated by the Republic of Korea Navy is equipped with various sensor devices (LRUs, line replace units) for tactical data collection. Depending on the characteristics of the sensor device, it operates with various communication protocols such as IEEE 802.3, MIL-STD-1553A/B, and ARINC-429. In addition, the collected tactical data is processed in the tactical station for mission operators, and this tactical station constitutes a clustering network on Gigabit Ethernet and operates in a distributed processing method. For communication with the sensor device, a specific tactical station mounts a peripheral device (eg. ARINC-429 interface card). The problem is that the performance of the entire distributed processing according to the peripheral device control and communication relay of this specific device is degraded, and even the operation stop of the tactical station has a problem of disconnecting the communication with the related sensor device. In this paper, we propose a method to mount a separate gateway to solve this problem, and the validity of the proposed application is demonstrated through the operation result of this gateway.

  • The development of recent computer and communication technology has changed Automation System using communication network, and the new USB substituted with Serial Communication is already developed and now popular. In this paper, High speed data transfer system design using USB interface and communication application simulated for the situation is introduced. Base on USB, we can use additive function efficiently coped with former field device. The 'Winsock Connection USB Ternimal,' designed for hardware simulation, control the field device connected by USB, and provide the way for remote control of field device by Telnet connection through TCP/IP. That theorem can guarantee controlling direct input dta of user, and acuate function of field device using USB Packet Transmission. As a result of amy research, this communication application system identified good operation of field device with those of former field device. Another result of the experiment of hardware operation, we obtained accomplishment that the sufficient bandwidth guarantee of USB has high speed and high performance, and reduce the occupancy of system.

Lifetime Maximization with Cooperative Wireless Energy Sharing in Wireless Multi-Hop Communications (무선 멀티 홉 통신에서 협력적인 무선 에너지 공유를 통한 생존시간 최대화)

  • In this paper, we maximize the lifetime of a multi-hop path through a cooperative wireless energy sharing scheme between constituent nodes in a wireless multi-hop communication. Considering a bidirectional multi-hop communication environment, we present an optimization problem to maximize path lifetime by adjusting the amount of energy each node needs to share with its neighboring nodes. On the basis of solidarity property, i.e., the lifetime of the multi-hop path is maximized when the lifetimes of all nodes are the same, we convert the considered optimization problem into a linear programming problem and solve it easily. Simulation result shows that the proposed two-way wireless energy sharing method maximizes the path lifetime of multi-hop communications and approximately doubles the path lifetime compared with the one-way energy sharing method.

  • The need for high performance of on-board computer (OBC) is essential due to the growing requirements and diversified missions, and so OBC has been developed on the basis of the standard design and reconfigurable modularization in order to improve the utilization of OBC for different missions. The processor in OBC of next generation satellite which is currently developed by KARI is adopted the LEON2-FT/AT697F processor based SPARC v8 as main processor and controls various devices such as SpaceWire, MIL-STD-1553B and CAN through PCI on the standardized communication chips. This paper presents the architecture and design of system software for LEON2-FT processor based on PCI, and development of PCI software component. Also it describes the porting of VxWorks 6.5 for LEON2-FT and the test under the simulation environment for LEON2-FT and PCI with communication chips.

  • This paper describes the development of a gas turbine engine simulator in detail. The simulator presented in this paper has a mathematical engine model based on a target gas turbine engine performance data and is developed for generating a gas turbine engine sensor signals between the hardwares and softwares of a gas turbine engine control system using Data Acquisition systems(DAS) and 1553B communication, a aeronautic standard communication specification. In addition, this paper proves the excellent performance of this simulator by showing the results of a gas turbine engine field test and simulation.

  • IMT-2000은 제 3세대 이동통신 시스템으로서 육상, 해상, 위성을 포함한 모든 이동통신을 포괄하는 통신서비스를 제공하게 된다. 또한, 기존의 음성 서비스뿐만 아니라 문자, 이미지, 멀티미디어 정보까지 전송할 수 있으며 국제적인 로밍을 통해 전세계 어느 곳에서도 통신할 수 있는 미래의 이동통신 시스템이다. 본 논문의 목적은 IMT-2000 교환기에서 지능 망 서비스를 수행하는데 필요한 기본 모델 구조인 기본 호 상태 모델을 적용하는 방안을 제시하는 것이다. 그 내용으로 IMT-2000 교환기를 위한 발신 및 착신 기본 호 상태 모델과 교환기 소프트웨어 블록을 소개한다. 또한, 이를 바탕으로 기본 호 상태 모델을 적용한 한 예로서 IMT-2000 교환기 내부 블록간의 자국 호 처리 절차를 설계하고 기본 호 상태 모델이 적용될 수 있는 사용자 호 제어부 블록의 유니트 및 파일 구조를 설계한다. 그리고 IMT-2000 교환기에서 기본 호 상태 모델을 적용한 발신 및 착신 사용자 제어부의 SDL 다이어그램과 이에 대한 CHILL을 이용한 구현 예를 제시한다.

Design of the Function for User Program Execution Control in the Windows Environments (윈도우 환경에서 사용자 프로그램 실행 권한 제어 기능 설계)

  • In this paper, we design a program that controls the execution permissions for the running application in the Windows system environment. It does not allow general users to execute the program converting the specific location information of the execution program, to any of the bit values with the formal structure information in window program. The converted bit value can be returned to the original bit value in the case of an authorized user, so that the original program can be normally performed. By doing so, it can be more safely used in the risk of reverse engineering for Windows executable program. We implemented the control program for the program execution authority we proposed in this paper, and the experiment was performed. At the results of experiments, it was confirmed that the control function to permit execution for the user program was working properly in the Windows environment.

Lane Departure Detection Using a Partial Top-view Image (부분 top-view 영상을 이용한 차선 이탈 검출)

  • This paper proposes a lane departure detection algorithm using a single camera equipped in front of a vehicle. The proposed algorithm generates a partial top-view image for a small ROI (region of interest) designated on the top-view space form the image acquired by the camera, detects lanes on the small partial top-view image, and makes a decision on the lane departure by checking overlap between the pre-assigned virtual vehicle and the detected lanes. The proposed algorithm also includes the removal of lines occurred by road symbols (noises) disturbing the lane departure detection between lanes and the prediction of lost lanes using lane information of previous fames. In lane departure detection test using real road videos, the proposed algorithm makes the right decision of 99.0% in lane keeping conditions and 94.7% in lane departure conditions.

  • The Payload Interface Unit (PIU) provides the interface between payload equipment (GOCI, MODCS and Ka Band P/L) and the SCU. The PIU is a MIL-STD-1553-Bus Remote Terminal (RT). The MPIU distributes commands to, acquires telemetry from and takes part in the thermal control of the payload equipment. When in ON mode, the PIU is completely observable and can be used for payload control. When in OFF mode, the PIU is non active except the thermal control electronics.

  • 인공위성은 다양한 센서장치, 구동장치, 전자장치들로 구성되어 있으며, 위성을 제어하는 컴퓨터 장치는 이들 장치들과 다양한 종류의 통신 버스로 연결되어있다. 정의된 프로토콜에 따라 명령을 전송하고 장치들의 상태 정보를 수집하여 위성을 운영한다. 위성에서 많이 사용되는 대부분의 상용 센서나 구동장치들은 표준화된 버스 (ex, 1553B, CAN, UART, etc ...) 인터페이스를 지원한다. 그러나 위성의 임무나 설계에 맞게 특수하게 제작된 장치의 경우는 범용의 버스보다는 용도에 적합한 프로토콜이 설계되고 제작된다. 본 논문에서는 2018년 발사 예정인 정지궤도복합위성 컴퓨터 장치 (GMU) 내의 프로세스 모듈과 시스템의 이상상태를 감지하여 GMU의 운용 모드 및 형상의 변경을 담당하는 MRE 모듈사이의 통신을 담당하는 IMGL 설계를 소개하고 IMGL 운영을 담당하는 소프트웨어 설계 및 구현 내용을 기술한다.
