A sacrificial member with aluminum foam of excellent energy absorption capacity was proposed for the protection of significant structures. Parametric studies of explicit finite element analyses were performed to investigate the pressure mitigation of close-range air-blasts. The scaled distance of the blast had a range of Z=0.48~0.95 and an empirical blast load function was utilized. The analytical parameters of the aluminum foam were density, thickness and the existence of a cover sheet. Analytical results showed that the transmitted pressure can be controlled to have a similar level of yield values of the foam by using a foam with low density and higher thickness. As the blast load increased, the sacrificial member needed to have higher density and thickness. A cover sheet of the foam clearly showed its effect on the wider distribution of blast pressure. It is necessary to determine the design parameters of sacrificial foams considering different energy dissipation capacities according to the scaled distance.

In this paper, we investigate the selection of transport route for import-export container cargo based on the sacrifice model and environmental cost of transport route. At first, the sacrifice model, environmental cost of transport, the volumes and the transport share of import-export container cargo are investigated briefly. And next, the transport time and cost, the environmental cost which is caused by cargo transport are investigated for the transport of import-export container cargo from Busan Port to Seoul. And also we calculate the sacrifice of each route by using the sacrifice model including the environmental cost. Finally we decide the transport route of import-export container cargo by using the sacrifice of each transport route. From the research results, we confirm that the road transport share decreases and the coastal transport share increases when the environmental coast of transport is considered.

We propose a system aimed at achieving high energy-delay efficiency by using adaptive victim caches. Particularly, we investigate methods to improve the hit rates in the first level of memory hierarchy, which reduces the number of accesses to mort power consuming memory structures such as L2 cache. Victim cache is a memory element for reducing conflict misses in a direct-mapped L1 cache. We present two techniques to fill the victim cache with the blocks that have higher probability to be re-reqeusted by processor. Hit-based victim cache ks tilled with the blocks which were referenced frequently by processor. Replacement-based victim cache is filled with the blocks which were evicted from the sets where block replacements had happened frequently According to our simulations, replacement-based victim cache scheme outperforms the conventional victim cache scheme about $2\%$ on average and refutes the power consumption by up to $8\%$.

Yorgos Lanthimos' The Killing of a Sacred Deer (2017) uses Iphigeneia in Aulis written by Euripides, one of the three great Greek tragedies writers, as the archetypal narrative. Thus, Lanthimos introduces a mythical world stained with 'blood violence by a divine being' within the cinematic diegesis of a modern American metropolis. And the mythical motifs of curses and scapegoats are varied. This thesis tried to read the scapegoat mechanism, the oldest mechanism of escape from the crisis of collective sacrifice, and the imitative and mutual characteristics of desire and violence through René Girard through the mythical world built in the modern time and space of the film. Martin places a cursed oracle on Steven when his desire to place him in his father's place is thwarted. The 'good' reciprocity between two people is rapidly transformed into a 'bad' reciprocity. The Killing of Sacred Deer is an excellent portrayal of how the scapegoat mechanism works through Steven's family. The selection of the scapegoat by lot gives the sacrificial lamb a sacred character thanks to its divine nature, and the scapegoat becomes a sacred being, and the family order is re-established.

The purpose of this study was focused on the relationship between private guards' job embeddedness and dual commitment. In this study, job embeddedness is selected as an independent variable and dual commitment is selected as a dependent variable one. job embeddedness was divided into three sub-factors such as "fit", "links", and "sacrifice", and dual commitment is again composed with organizational commitment, and career commitment. Moreover sex, age, academic background, service period, and income were selected as a control variable. To test the hypotheses, survey data from private guards in Kyungpook are collected and analyzed. Principal component method is used to see which items cluster together in each factor and to calculate factor scores. Multiple regression analysis identifies several factors which have significant effects on dual commitment. Key finding can be summarized as follow. Fist, the factor of "fit" have significant effects on organizational commitment, and career commitment. Second, the factor of "links" have significant effects on organizational commitment, and career commitment. Third the factor of "sacrifice" have significant effects on organizational commitment, and career commitment. Finally, when all the variables with significant effects are included in the final model, "links" disappear, while "fit" and "sacrifice" remain statistically significant. Based on these finding, this study suggests some policy issues to promote private guards' dual commitment.

A purpose of this study is to examine the effects of job embeddedness on job satisfaction and turnover intention of construction IT worker and to verify the effects of job satisfaction as intervening variable on turnover intention. To achieve the purpose of this study, field survey was performed. To summarize the results of this study is as follows. First, if job embeddedness of construction IT worker (fit, links, sacrifice) in a workplace is high, turnover intention will be low; the result shows that there is a relation in relation level 0.00. Second, if job embeddedness of construction IT worker (fit, links, sacrifice) in a workplace is high, job satisfaction will be high it was excluded in working period links as there was no relation, but there was a statistical relation in service links, fit, and sacrifice for an organization. Third, if job satisfaction of construction IT worker in a workplace is high, turnover intention will be low this hypothesis can be adopted as there was a statistical relation. Fourth, job satisfaction works on the effect of job embeddedness (fit, links, sacrifice) on turnover intention as intervening variable.

Recently, corrosion occurred on the piles of a marine bridge located on the NamHae expressway in Korea. A sacrificial anode cathodic protection system was installed to prevent corrosion damage in the marine bridge. In the case of the marine bridge in this study, the sacrificial anode cathodic protection system was applied at the tidal and splash zones of the piles because the upper part of the structure was not corroded, and because corrosion occurs at the tidal and splash zones due to sea tides. To verify the performance of the sacrificial anode cathodic protection system 8 years later, cathodic protection (CP) current, CP potential, and degree of depolarization were measured. The experimental results on the performance of the sacrificial anode cathodic protection system from a total of 60 piles were classified into 4 categories: good CP effect results (13 piles), partial CP effect results (27 piles), temporarily erroneous results (5 piles), and need for maintenance because of delamination (15 piles). It was determined that additional repairs are required, such as the application of bulk anodes and jacket casings, for piles where the CP effect is poor.

For the DLC-coaled Si-tip FEA, the modified lift off-process, by which DLC coated on both gate electrode surface and gate insulator in the gate aperture could be removed, was proposed. In the process, the Al sacrificial layer was deposited on a tilted and rotated substrate by an e-beam evaporation, and DLC film was coated on the substrate by PA-CVD method. Afterward the DLC was perfectly removed except the DLC films coated on emitter tips by etch-out of Al sacrificial layer. Current-voltage curves and current fluctuation of the DLC-coated Si-tip FEA showed that the proposed lift-off process played an important role in decreasing gate leakage current and stabilizing omission current.
