An Analysis of Effects of Travel Speed Using the Safety Facilities in the School Zones (어린이 보호구역내 교통안전시설이 구간통행속도에 미치는 효과 분석)

  • There is high probability of children's traffic accidents. Because their physical, mental attribute are weak. Major part of the accidents happen during walking. Above all, jaywalking is the biggest traffic accident reason. Many traffic accidents take place on the road to school or near the home area. So Ministry of Public Administration and Security legislated children safeguard zone since 1995. But a study are inadequate the safety facilities on the effectiveness verification in the school zone. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the effectiveness of safety facilities. The vehicle speed is a direct correlation traffic accident. So in this study, the MOE(Measure of Effectiveness) is average travel speed in the school zone. The results shows that hump, rised pedestrian crossing has an effect.

A Study on Crash Analysis of Vehicle and Guardrail using a LS-DYNA Program (LS-DYNA 프로그램을 이용한 차량과 가드레일의 충돌해석에 관한 연구)

  • A study is to research crash barriers for vehicles that prevent road breakaway of vehicles and protect car passengers and pedestrians as absorbing impulse. Protection performance tests on vehicle passengers were simulated by using a LS-DYNA program. Through repetitive simulation on various speed and angles, passenger protection performance according to different impact condition was contemplated. Variable setting for the simulation was calculated as the mean weight of domestic car sales. By analyzing NASS (National Automotive Sampling System) of NHTSA (National Highway Traffic Safety Administration) of the U.S., the actual speed and collision angle section of accidents were computed. As a result, we confirmed that THIV (Theoretical Head Impact Velocity) and PHD (Post-impact Head Deceleration) are increased according to the impact speed and angle. Also, when the vehicle hit the guardrail post, we could be confirmed that the passenger protection performance greatly decreased.

A Study on the Improvement of Fore-Body Shape Considering Breaking Wave Phenomena (쇄파현상을 고려한 선수형상개량법에 관한 연구)

  • This paper presents a method of minimizing the wave resistance components, due to the linear wave propagating to the far field and the breaking wave in the vicinity of the hull. This method consists of the linear optimization method for the linear wave resistance and the statistical optimization method for the breaking wave resistance through the analysis of the experimental data. For the purpose of the application, a wall-sided model with parabolic waterplane shape was selected as a basic hull form, and two modified hull forms with varied $C_p-curve$ of the fore-body were derived from the linear wave optimization method and the empirical method. The correlation between the linear wave resistance and the breaking wave resistance according to the $C_p-curve$ variation of the fore-body was investigated through the experimental and analytical results for the three hull forms. The fore-body shape optimized by the present method shows the reduction of the wave resistance by 47% comparing to the basic hull form at the design speed($F_n=0.26$).

  • Variety media based on the digital technology have emerged from the beginning of the 21th century and have competed with the traditional media in the advertisement market. With the high dependency upon the advertisement market, the Korean media industry has the urgent demand to increase it's pie. Korea regulator allowed PPL and private representatives, which resulted in low outcome. This study analysed the decision factors for the advertising market with the cross-sectional microeconomic data for 28 countries in OECD. The service industry, tax and GDP per capita affect negatively to the market growth rate, and unemployment positively. Therefore the market's growth speed would be slow down and the share of TV decreased. Therefore the two policies were suggested, increasing the direct payment by the audiences and retire of the inefficient broadcasters.

  • In Korea, traffic accidents between pedestrians and vehicles in 2015 account for 38.8% of all accidents. This study proposes a system design that can measure the risk of conflict between a vehicle and a pedestrian. Firstly the systemdetect and estimate the position, speed, and directional data of the vehicle and the pedestrian. And then it estimate the conflict point between a vehicle and a pedestrian. The risk of conflict is quantified by estimating the pedestrian safety margin (PSM), which is the time difference between the arrival of the pedestrian at the crossing point to the point of conflict and the vehicle approaching the point. In this system each data is acquired through an external monitoring based evaluation module and an individual wearing module. In the future, such a system can be used for decision making such as the design of road hazard improvement facilities and the designation of the elderly protection area.

  • In this paper, a new simple and efficient technique to improve the convergence speed of LMS algorithm is proposed in an interference-limited multi-path fading environment as encountered in indoor wireless communications. The convergence characteristics of the proposed algorithm, whose coefficients are multiply adapted in a symbol time period by recycling the received data, are analyzed to prove theoretically the improvement of convergence speed. The theoretical analysis shows that the data-recycling in technique can increase convergence speed by (B+1) times without increasing the computational complexity substantially where B is the number of recycled data. The results of the computer simulation demonstrate that the simulation results are in accordance with the theoretical analysis and the superiority of the filter algorithm.

  • 우리 나라가 본격적인 국가개발계획을 추진한 이래 지난 40여 년간 급속한 경제성장과 산업화의 영향으로 농촌인구의 급격한 도시 유입이 이루어지고 이에 따라 도시지역은 비대해지고 농촌지역은 과소화되는 등 농촌 내외의 상황변화에 따라 일반적으로 변화의 속도가 늦은 농촌사회도 많은 변화를 경험하게 되었다. 그런데 이러한 농촌의 변화에 대한 미시적이고 횡단적인 연구는 많이 이루어지고 있으나 장기적이고 생활 측면에서 접근한 연구는 미흡한 실정이다. 따라서 본 연구는 '93∼2002년까지 10년 동안 대구ㆍ낙동강권역의 사례지역인 대구시 달성군 다사면 이천리(도시근교), 경북 상주시 사벌면 원흥3리(평야지), 의성군 봉양면 사력1리(중간지), 문경시 동로면 생달1리(산간지) 4마을에 대한 실태조사를 실시하여 농촌생활의 장기적인 변화를 분석하고, 2000년대 바람직한 농촌 미래상 정립을 위한 기초자료로 활용하고자 이루어졌다.

  • ADCP(Acoustic Doppler Current Profiler)는 유수의 흐름을 방해하지 않으면서 물 속으로 일정 주파수의 초음파를 전송하고, 부유하는 입자들에 의해 산란되어 돌아오는 반향을 수집, 도플러효과를 이용하여 유속을 측정하는 장비이다. ADCP는 하천을 횡단하면서 순간적인 유속을 측정하므로 시간평균한 평균유속과의 차이가 발생하지만 1초에 1회 이상의 빠른 속도로 연직유속분포를 수집하면서 이를 공간적으로 평균함으로써 순간유속이 갖는 변동성을 완화시키는 특징을 갖는다. 본 연구에서는 ADCP를 활용하여 사행하천에서 수평방향 2차원 유속분포를 측정하고자 하였다. 만곡부가 교호적으로 나타나는 사행하천의 흐름구조는 매우 복잡하다. 특히 주 흐름의 수직인 단면에 나선형의 2차류가 관찰되는데, 이는 원심력과 횡방향의 수면경사 및 난류의 상호작용으로 발생된다. 주 흐름의 유속과 다른 분포를 나타낸다. 본 연구에서는 이찬주 등(2005)이 제시한 공간평균기법과 이동경로 수정을 통하여 측선별 2차원 유속분포를 측정하여 기 개발된 RAMS(서울대학교, 2007)를 적용하고 이를 검증하기 위한 자료를 확보하고자 하였다.

  • These studies developed system as well as its algorithm which can measure traffic flow and vehicle speed on the highway as well as road by using industrial television(ITV) system. This algorithm used the real time processing of dynamic images. The processing algorithm of dynamic images is developed and proved its validity by frame grabber. Frame grabber can process the information of a small number of sample points only instead of the whole pixel of the images. In the techniques of this algorithm, we made approximate contour of vehicle by allocating sampling points in cross-direction of image, and recognized top of contour of vehicle. Applying these technique, we measured the number of passing vehicles of one lane as well as multilane. Speed of each vehicle is measured by computing the time difference between a pair of sample points on two sample Points lines.
