The aim of study intends to investigate effect of weight of fire fighting protective equipment for physical activity ability and to provide the base data for the safety of firefighter. The results of the study are as follows. The maximum all-out time is short about 18.8% in weight-jacket case which weight is same with fire-protective equipment than case of gym suit. The maximum oxygen consumption increased 17.6% in gym suit case than case of weight-jacket. The maximum heart rate is high 5.4% in gym suit case than case of weight-jacket.

The nursery active-wear uniform designs of Internet shopping malls are simple and similar; however, the latest children's wear trends (mostly composed of training jumpers and pants) do not reflect these qualities. Children's folklore plays (widely used in child education) have an instructive value for the emotional and intellectual development of a child. Nursery active-wear uniform designs applied to children's folklore's plays could be positive for the emotional development and specialized cultural education of children. We designed three nursery active-wear uniforms with three different design concepts (casual, semi-formal and sporty) regardless of sex. The main color of the three nursery active-wear uniforms was yellow. We used three different chroma and values of yellow through three design concepts: Design I of a nursery active-wear uniform (a training suit style with a good activity), Design II of a nursery active-wear uniform (a semi suit style), and Design III of a nursery active-wear uniform (a sportswear style that reflected a sport wear trend). We expressed children's folklore plays in the pattern of a nursery active-wear uniform. The pattern was characterized as a pair of bears flying kites. This pattern was utilized in three nursery active-wear uniforms with the logo and name of the nursery. We modified the designs of active-wear nursery uniforms based on an evaluation of 33 special panels. We made three nursery active-wear uniforms for five-year olds.

Radiation shielding clothing for medical institutions is used based on lead equivalent of 0.25 mmPb. However, this study intends to study the shielding suit that can guarantee the user's activity while considering the sensitivity of each part of the body. By manufacturing based on eco-friendly shielding material, it was attempted to solve the weight problem and environmental problem of existing lead aprons, and to present the same shielding performance as lead equivalent in thickness. The fabric of the produced shielding sheet was manufactured through a calendar process that adjusts the thickness of the shielding sheet from lead equivalent 0.12 mmPb to 0.32 mmPb. In addition, the usability evaluation of the manufactured shielding clothes was conducted for the subjects who were workers in medical institutions. As a result, the activity became easier and the weight was reduced by 0.26 kg. In the future, it is thought that it is necessary to improve the shielding suit design considering the activity.

평균수명이 연장되고, 사회변화에 따른 핵가족화가 가속화 됨에 따라, "노인문제"는 결코 간과할 수 없는 심각한 사회문제로 대두되고 있다. 이 노인문제는 과거 가족제도에 대한 향수 같은 것으로는 이제 해결될 수 없으며 사회적인 해결 방안이 모색되고 실현되어야 하는 것이 오늘의 현실이다. 그러나 이러한 심각성에도 불구하고 우리나라의 노인복지 현실은 전무한 상태라 해도 과언이 아니다. 이런 어려운 여건 속에서 작으나마 지역사회 노인들의 건강, 식사, 소일거리 등을 해결하기 위해 노력하는 곳이 있다. "사회복지법인 자선단 은천노인복지회 (회장 : 이벙만ㆍ동대문구 장안동)." 노인들의 어려운 일을 도와주고, 취업알선을 해주고 있는 이들의 활동을 소개한다.

6시그마 프로세스는 정의(Define), 측정(Measure), 분석(Analyze), 개선(Improve), 관리(Control)라는 다섯 스텝을 통하여 문제를 해결하고 성과를 달성한다. 이 다섯 단계 중에서 정의 단계는 프로젝트를 선정하고, 고객을 정의하고 프로젝트의 핵심 요인을 파악하며, 팀을 구성하고, 일정을 수립하는 일련의 과정으로서, 6시그마 활동전체의 방향을 제시하는 동시에, 이 활동이 그 조직에 얼마나 효과성이 결정되는 단계로서 6시그마 전 활동을 통하여 가장 중요한 단계라 할 수 있다. 6시그마 활동 중 정의 단계의 4 Step인 Project의 선정, Project의 정의, CTQ의 도출 및 선정, Project의 실행 계획은 프로젝트의 성공과 실패를 좌우하는 중요한 요인이다. 본 연구는 F사에서 수행했던 프로젝트를 대상으로 정의 단계의 각 Step마다 적정한 Activity에 따라 수행되었는가를 분석하여 F사의 6시그마 활동의 문제점을 조사하여 향후 6시그마 활동의 방향을 제시하려한다.

This study investigates the actual wearing conditions of functional mountaineering garments in Korea and provides suggestions on the development of more effective functional mountaineering garments through the examination of consumer data. This survey was based on 107 respondents who enjoy mountaineering and was composed of 5 sections consisting of personal information, purchasing habits, essential features for mountaineering garments, satisfaction levels based on features and functions, and additional comments on the improvement of mountaineering garments. Respondents said that essential features for mountaineering garments are quick absorbing/drying, insulation, water and wind proof, and elasticity. These properties become more effective when users wear mountaineering garments in layers. They want lower prices and easy to wash garments. Therefore, it is necessary to consider not only the main functions, but also the needs of consumers for easy washing and price.

This study has the purpose to find basic materials for development of kindergarten's uniform and suggest the improvement of its design based on the survey results from Suncheon area in Jeollanam-do of Korea. Such study methods were conducted as literature review, survey with direct visit, interview, and photographing of dresses regarding the kindergarten uniform. The following are research results. First, kindergarten teachers presented a positive opinion about the necessity for children to wear the uniform. In selection of design, they regarded the activity as most important factor. Kindergartens applying active wear compatible as townwear also accounted for 57.1%, which is more than half. Second, the formal wear, in the winter season was found to consist with jacket or knit cardigan, knit vest, shirts, skirts or pants, and necktie. For color, most of them are in dark tone, which need to be brighter. For pattern, they are in plain color, which needs to have various patterns. As to the cloth material, such problems should be improved as warmth retentivity in consideration of seasonal nature, moisture retentivity, breathability, color retentivity when washing, and harmless to human body. Third, active wear is mostly the casual sportswear type. But it has no characteristic unique to kindergarten in design and needs to be altered for differentiated design. Especially, it is simply divided into winter wear and summer wear in kind. Therefore, it is required to have differentiation for seasonal characteristic and diversity in number of item and improvement in terms of cloth material.

In the decade of the 1920s in an America, with booming of economy, people had more money. And with the development of transportation, people can afford expensive traveling throughout Europe. With this reason they were exposed to a nobility of European style and liked royalty more than before. American hunting man wanted traditional dress to express their status as a psychological code and the reason of the existing very similar hunting garment in nowadays is based on this belief. The purpose of this study is not merely understanding the styles of American Men's hunting and shooting garments in the 1920s but understanding the psychology of the people. People quite clearly do not dress according to function ore need alone and, in fact the consumption of clothes increasingly serves no other purpose than to fulfill or express psychological or social, rather than practical need.
