Development of Pulsating Heat Pipe type Waste Heat Recovery Ventilator Using an used Radiator for Vehicles (자동차용(自動車用) 폐(廢) 라디에이터를 이용한 히트 파이프형 환기배열(換氣排熱) 회수기(回收器)에 관한 연구(硏究))

  • For keeping the indoor air quality, we develop the pulsating heat pipe(PHP) type heat recovery ventilator using an used radiator for vehicles. We compare the PHP type with existing model. There are some merits that are able to change the unit number according to heat load and show us the similar performance to existing models.

Analysis on the Ventilation Performance of Single-span Tomato Greenhouse with Roof Windows (천창을 설치한 토마토 재배 단동 온실의 환기성능 분석)

  • Ventilation rates, inside and outside weather data were measured in a arch-shape single-span plastic greenhouse growing tomatoes. On the roof of the experimental greenhouse, round windows which have a diameter of 0.6 m were installed at intervals of 8m. It showed that the number of air changes in this greenhouse were average 0.17 volumes per minute and in the range of 0.02 to 0.32 volumes per minute. These air changes are insufficient to meet the recommended ventilation rate for commercial greenhouses, and it is estimated that interval of 6 m is appropriate for spring or fall season. For summer season, it is necessary to narrow the space or to enlarge the open area of roof windows. Using the heat balance model, the evapotranspiration coefficients of greenhouse tomatoes were estimated from experimental ventilation data, overall heat transfer and solar radiation. It showed that the evapotranspiration coefficients were average 0.62 and in the 0.39 to 0.85 range. We suggest applying 0.6 as the evapotranspiration coefficient in design of ventilation for the single-span tomato greenhouses.

  • Natural ventilation is employed in limestone mines that have been currently operated in Korea, and there has been a growing issue of a significantly weak airflow caused by the large-scale excavation. Thus, the air quality in the working area is considerably poor. In order to improve this circumstance, it is mainly required to examine ventilation performance. In this study, the examination of ventilation efficiency was conducted by using tracer gas method. The result of this work indicated detailedly the ventilation problems in research mine, in that extremely low air velocity, recirculation, and air change rate were evaluated quantitatively using tracer gas. Therefore the ventilation performance evaluation using tracer gas can be opted as a precise method to improve the working area in mines.

  • This paper considers the influence of suction-line heat exchangers on the efficiency of a refrigeration cycle using hydrocarbon refrigerants such as R290, R600a and R1270. These suction-line heat exchangers can, in some cases, yield improved system performance while in other cases they degrade system performance. A steady state mathematical model is used to analyze the performance characteristics of refrigeration cycle with suction-line heat exchanger. The influence of operating conditions, such as the mass flowrate of hydrocarbon refrigerants, inner diameter tube and length of suction-line heat exchanger, to the performance of the cycle is also analyzed in the paper. Results showed that the mass flowrate of hydrocarbon refrigerants, inner diameter tube and length of suction-line heat exchanger, and effectiveness have an effect on the cooling capacity, compressor work and RCI(Relative Capacity Index) of this system. With a thorough grasp of these effect, it is necessary to design the compression refrigeration cycle of hydrocarbon refrigerants using suction-line heat exchanger.

  • 열교환기는 공조 및 기타 산업현장에서 많은 수요가 창출되고 있는데 본 논문에서는 3차원 수치해석을 이용하여 수송기계의 오일쿨러나 연료쿨러에 쓰이는 전형적인 열교환기에 대한 방열 성능을 해석하였다. 열교환기의 핀 타입 중 wavy 및 louver에 대하여 열교환기 성능 실험 데이터를 이용하는 3차원 열교환기 모델을 완성하고 통과 풍량에 따른 열교환량을 예측하였다. 이는 열교환기를 통과하는 풍속이 균일하지 않을 때 열교환량을 예측할 수 있어 설계 정확성 향상에 기여할 수 있다.

  • In this study, the performance validation of a PAO-AIR heat exchanger developed for the ECS(Environmental Control System) of a UAV(Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) has been carried out. The performance goals of a PAO-AIR heat exchanger were established by the system schematic analysis. And a heat exchanger to be met the ECS performance was developed by a detailed design and a precision manufacture. Using the developed heat exchanger, the experiment about pressure loss and effectiveness, overall heat transfer coefficient to prove the developed PAO-AIR heat exchanger performance in various conditions as well as a design point of heat exchanger was performed and the experimental results were analyzed. As the experimental results, the performance and characteristic of a PAO-AIR heat exchanger developed for the ECS of a UAV were analyzed and the development suitability was proved.

  • 최근 소비전력 구제 및 $CO_{2}$ 발생량 구제 등으로 인하여 에너지 절약형 제품에 대한 요 구가 점증하고있어 핵심부품인 열교환기의 효율 향상은 숙명적인 과제라 할 수 있다. 에어컨에 사용되고 있는 응축기와 증발기(condenser/evaporator)는 대부분이 핀-튜브(fin-tube)형의 직교 류형 열교환기 (crossflow heat exchanger)이다. 이와 같은 열교환기의 성능에 영향을 미치는 인자들은 크게 핀과 튜브로 구성되는 기하학적인 인자와 공기부와 냉매부로 나뉘어지는 물리적인 인자로 나눌 수 있다. 이 글에서는 핀-튜브형 열교환기의 설계시 고려하여야 할 기하학적 인자와 물리적 인자에 대하여 기술하고자 한다.

  • 환기란 실내에 기류분포를 형성함으로써 발생된 오염물질을 제거하고 재실자에게 신선외기를 공급하기 위한 것이다. 실내의 오염농도는 오염 발생원의 특성과 실내의 환기상태에 의하여 결정되며 환기상태는 실내의 기류분포에 의하여 결정된다. 건축물에서 수행되고 있는 각종 오염물질에 대한 농도측정 실험은 환기의 결과로서 나타나는 실내오염의 정도를 파악하기 위한 것으로 환기의 성능 자체를 측정하기 위한 것이 아니다. 또한 실내의 기류속도 측정실험을 통하여 환기상태를 간접적으로 파악할 수 있으나 정량적인 환기 상태를 측정하지는 못한다. 단순히 기류속도가 크고 작음에 따라서 환기상태의 좋고 나쁨을 표현할 수 없기 때문이다. 그림 1은 이와 같은 환기실험에 관련된 3단계의 실험 종류와 이들 간의 상호 상관관계를 보이고 있다.

  • Heat exchange ventilation facility is using for heating the inflow outside-air with warm outflow inside-air. Energy cost is saved and respiratory disease caused by temperature difference of air is prevented. In this paper, system for remote control and monitoring of heat exchange ventilation facility is developed. This system is applied in chicken breeding farm, and verification test of performance such as temperature and humidity control and monitoring is conducted. From verification test, temperature control error is measured as under 2degrees around the chicken breeding farm.
