A study on the optimization of network resource allocation scheme based on access probabilities (접근확률 기반의 네트워크 자원할당방식의 최적화에 관한 연구)

  • This paper optimizes the access probabilities (APs) in a network resource allocation scheme based on access probabilities in order that the waiting time and the blocking probability are minimized under the given constraints, and obtains its performance. In order to optimize APs, an infinite number of balance equations is reduced to a finite number of balance equations by applying Neuts matrix geometric method. And the nonlinear programming problem is converted into a linear programming problem. As a numerical example, the performance measures of waiting time and blocking probability for optimal access probabilities and the maximum utilization under the given constraints are obtained. And it is shown that the scheme with optimal APs gives more performance build-up than the strategy without optimization.

  • In this paper, we propose system model to solve conventional threshold problem of using fixed false alarm for energy spectrum sensing. Spectrum sensing reliability is ensured when Secondary user have high SNR. Thus, it is not reasonable using fixed optional false alarm without considering CR user's SNR. So, we propose adaptive threshold method. adaptive threshold is decided by controling FA according to CR user's SNR.

  • 본 논문에서는 새로운 율모델을 기반으로한 프레임 단위 HEVC 율제어 기법을 제안한다. 기존의 비디오 압축표준과는 달리 HEVC 는 계층 구조를 지닌 쿼드트리 기반 움직임 예측 및 변환 부호화를 수행한다. 본 논문에서는 쿼드트리 계층의 깊이에 따라 신호의 통계적 특성이 매우 달라지는 것은 이용하여 라플라시안 확률 모델을 각 쿼드트리 계층에 독립적으로 이용한 새로운 율모델을 이용한 율제어 기법을 제안한다. 제안방법에서는 계층적 부호화 단위인 CU 를 계층 깊이에 따라 세 가지 카테고리로 분류하고 각 카테고리에 따라 변환 계수에 대한 라플라시안 확률 분포 함수를 율-양자화 모델을 만든다. 제안된 율모델은 특성이 매우 다른 각 CU 깊이에 따라 독립적인 라플라이안 확률 분포 함수를 이용하기 때문에 매우 정확하고 적응적인 비트율 예측이 가능하므로 보다 안정적이고 정확한 율제어가 가능하다. 실험결과는 제안된 율제어 기법이 단일 확률 분포 함수를 사용했을 경우보다 평균 0.16dB 의 PSNR 향상이 있었음을 보여주었으며 제안된 방법은 각 프레임에 대한 목표 비트에 보다 안정적으로 부호화하는 것을 보여주었다.

  • This paper discusses a design of intelligent controller with time delay for Internet-based remote control. The finite Markovian process is adopted to model the input delay of the overall control system. It is assumed that the zero and hold devices are used for control input. The Takagi-Sugeno (T-S) fuzzy system with uncertain input delay is utilized to represent nonlinear plant. The continuous-time T-S fuzzy system with the Markovian input delay is discretized for easy handling delay, accordingly, the discretized T-S fuzzy system is represented by a discrete-time T-S fuzzy system with jumping parameters. The robust stochastic stabilizibility of the jump T-S fuzzy system is derived and formulated in terms of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs). An experimental results is provided to visualize the feasibility of the proposed method.

  • In this paper, for continuous media access operations performed by Clustered Continuous Media Storage Server (CCMSS) system, we present the analytical model based on the open queueing network, which considers simultaneously two critical delay factors, the disk I/O and the internal network, in the CCMSS system. And we derive by using the analytical model the stochastic model for the total service delay time in the system. Next, we propose the integrated stochastic admission control model for the CCMSS system, which estimate the maximum number of admittable service requests at the allowable service failure rate by using the derived stochastic model and apply the derived number of requests in the admission control operation. For the performance evaluation of the proposed model, we evaluated the deadline miss rates by means of the previous stochastic model considering only the disk I/O and the propose stochastic model considering the disk I/O and the internal network, and compared the values with the results obtained from the simulation under the real cluster-based distributed media server environment. The evaluation showed that the proposed admission control policy reflects more precisely the delay factors in the CCMSS system.

  • RED 알고리즘은 큐 avg가 threshold를 넘으면 일정한 확률로 패킷을 drop하여 congestion을 제어하는 알고리즘이다. RED 알고리즘은 큐 자신의 avg만을 고려하여 drop 확률을 결정한다. 하지만, VOQ를 사용하는 input queueing에서 같은 출력 단을 목적지로 하는 다른 큐들의 사이즈가 큐 내부에서의 delay에 영향을 미치기 때문에 그 큐들의 avg를 고려하는 것이 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 기존의 RED 방법의 drop 확률 결정에서 같은 출력 단을 목적지로 하는 큐들의 avg 값을 고려하는 알고리즘을 제안한다. 시뮬레이션을 통하여 제안한 알고리즘을 구현하고, 성능을 기존의 RED 알고리즘과 비교한다.

  • Much of the study has been dong on the design of dual controller that guarantee the stability and improvement of the system performance. A dual controller concept is proposed to consist of first controller estimates the control law and second controller suppresses the combined noises due to numerical error and internal noise as well. These irregular disturbances are not only increasing the fatigue but also destabilize the system because of unwanted output performance. The 'stochastic controller' is used to suppress the irregular random disturbance. Simulation is conducted to reveal that the proposed dual stochastic controller is highly efficient one to control a system hybrid noises.

  • IP 망에서 Qos(Quality of Service)를 보장하기 위하여 요구되는 것이 수락 제어이다. 기존의 수락 제어 메커니즘은 크게 RSVP(Resource Reservation Protocol) 시그널링 방법과 MBAC(Measurement Based Admission Control)로 분류된다. 첫번째 방법의 경우 코어 망에서 각 플로우마다 상태를 유지해야 하는 확장성 문제때문에 적용이 쉽지 않고, 두 번째 방법의 경우 긴 경로를 가진 플로우의 경우 짧은 경로를 가진 플로우에 비해 블록킹 확률이 높아지는 문제점이 있다. 본 논문에서는 IP 코어 망에서 사용자의 QoS 요구사항과 서로 다른 경로상의 플로우간 블록킹 확률의 공평성을 위한 TPED MBAC(Two-Phase Edge-to-Edge Distributed Measurement Based Admission Control) 메커니즘을 제안한다. 이 MBAC 메커니즘은 수락 제어를 Quantitative Provisioning 단계와 Qualitative Provisioning 단계로 나누어 수행하며 프로빙 패킷 전송을 위해 홉 카운터에 기반 한 WRR(Weighted Round-Robin) 스케쥴링을 적용함으로써 각 플로우간의 블록킹 확률의 공평성을 제어할 수 있는 메커니즘이다.

A Supervised Learning Framework for Physics-based Controllers Using Stochastic Model Predictive Control (확률적 모델예측제어를 이용한 물리기반 제어기 지도 학습 프레임워크)

  • In this paper, we present a simple and fast supervised learning framework based on model predictive control so as to learn motion controllers for a physic-based character to track given example motions. The proposed framework is composed of two components: training data generation and offline learning. Given an example motion, the former component stochastically controls the character motion with an optimal controller while repeatedly updating the controller for tracking the example motion through model predictive control over a time window from the current state of the character to a near future state. The repeated update of the optimal controller and the stochastic control make it possible to effectively explore various states that the character may have while mimicking the example motion and collect useful training data for supervised learning. Once all the training data is generated, the latter component normalizes the data to remove the disparity for magnitude and units inherent in the data and trains an artificial neural network with a simple architecture for a controller. The experimental results for walking and running motions demonstrate how effectively and fast the proposed framework produces physics-based motion controllers.
