Sustainable Closed-loop Supply Chain Model using Hybrid Meta-heuristic Approach: Focusing on Domestic Mobile Phone Industry (혼합형 메타휴리스틱 접근법을 이용한 지속가능한 폐쇄루프 공급망 네트워크 모델: 국내 모바일폰 산업을 중심으로)

  • In this paper, a sustainable closed-loop supply chain (SCLSC) network model is proposed for domestic mobile phone industry. Economic, environmental and social factors are respectively considered for reinforcing the sustainability of the SCLSC network model. These three factors aim at minimizing total cost, minimizing total amount of CO2 emission, and maximizing total social influence resulting from the establishment and operation of facilities at each stage of the SCLSC network model. Since they are used as each objective function in modeling, the SCLSC network model can be a multi-objective optimization problem. A mathematical formulation is used for representing the SCLSC network model and a hybrid meta-heuristic approach is proposed for efficiently solving it. In numerical experiment, the performance of the proposed hybrid meta-heuristic approach is compared with those of conventional meta-heuristic approaches using some scales of the SCLSC network model. Experimental results shows that the proposed hybrid meta-heuristic approach outperforms conventional meta-heuristic approaches.

Hybrid Approach for Solving Manufacturing Optimization Problems (제조최적화문제 해결을 위한 혼합형 접근법)

  • Manufacturing optimization problem is to find the optimal solution under satisfying various and complicated constraints with the design variables of nonlinear types. To achieve the objective, this paper proposes a hybrid approach. The proposed hybrid approach is consist of genetic algorithm(GA), cuckoo search(CS) and hill climbing method(HCM). First, the GA is used for global search. Secondly, the CS is adapted to overcome the weakness of GA search. Lastly, the HCM is applied to search precisely the convergence space after the GA and CS search. In experimental comparison, various types of manufacturing optimization problems are used for comparing the efficiency between the proposed hybrid approach and other conventional competing approaches using various measures of performance. The experimental result shows that the proposed hybrid approach outperforms the other conventional competing approaches.

  • 본 논문은 혼합현실(Mixed reality) 에 대한 새로운 접근법을 제시한다. 혼합현실은 실제환경 (Real environment)과 가상환경 (Virtual environment) 이 융합된 가상현실로서 기존의 혼합현실 연구자들은 두 환경을 가능한 정확하게 정합(Registration)시키고자 노력하였다. 이러한 노력은 때때로 복잡한 계산과정이나 부가적인 장치를 요하기도 한다. 부가적인 장치의 사용은 사용성문제를 유발할 뿐만 아니라 추가적인 비용도 요구한다. 우리가 제시하는 접근법은 이러한 노력들과는 반대로 많은 부분을 사용자의 인지력과 상상력에 의지한다. 즉, 사용자의 인지력으로 두 환경 간의 오차를 보정하며 심지어는 사용자에 의해 두 환경 간의 결합이 머릿속에서 이루어진다. 우리는 이러한 접근 방법을 Loosely Coupled Mixed Reality(LMR)라고 부른다. 본 논문에서는 혼합현실에 대한 새로운 접근법인 LMR에 대해 설명하고 LMR이 갖는 여러 가지 쟁점을 짚어보았다. 또한 LMR의 효과를 검증하기 위해 만든 골프 게임을 설명 하도록 하겠다.

  • In this study, a hybrid meta-heuristic approach is proposed for solving engineering design optimization problems. Various approaches in many literatures have been proposed to solve engineering optimization problems with various types of decision variables and complex constraints. Unfortunately, however, their efficiencies for locating optimal solution do not be highly improved. Therefore, we propose a hybrid meta-heuristic approach for improving their weaknesses. the proposed GA-VNS-HC approach is combining genetic algorithm (GA) for global search with variable neighborhood search (VNS) and hill climbing (HC) for local search. Development of Practical Lumped Contaminant Modeling Approach for Fate and Transport of Complex Organic Mixtures (복잡한 혼합 유기오염물의 거동 예측을 위한 실용적인 오염물 집략화 모델링 기법 개발)

  • Both feasibility and accuracy of lumped approach to group 12 organic compounds in mixtures into a fewer number of pseudocompounds in sorption processes were evaluated using mixtures containing organic compounds with various physicochemical properties and low-surface-area mineral sorbents. The lumped approach for sorption to simulated mineral sorbents was developed by cluster analysis from statistics. Using the lumped approach, the sorption estimated from both reduced number of pseudocompounds and their sorption parameters (i.e., $K_f$, n) can approximate sorption behavior of complex organic mixtures. Additionally, the pseudocompounds for various mixtures to different types of low-surface-area mineral sorbents can be estimated a priori from the physicochemical properties of organic compound (i.e., ${\gamma_w}^{sat}$). Therefore, the lumped approach may help to simplify the complex fate and transport model of organic contaminant mixtures, reduce experimental efforts, and yet provide results that are statistically identical for practical purposes. Further research is warranted to enhance the accuracy of lumped approach using the multiple regression analysis considering the H-bonding capacity, site concentrations, functional groups for mineral sorbents.

  • 본 연구에서는 부품 및 시스템 고장률 모형에 대한 추계적 과정 접근법을 제시하고 기존의 이론 분포 중심 접근법에서 탈피하여 부품고장률을 시계열 모형으로 설정하고 이에 따른 복합시스템 고장율의 선형결합에 대한 모델을 제시하며 주요 모델에 대한 수치예를 든다. 또한 Burn-In 테스트에 사용되는 욕조(Bathtub) 고장률 모형에 대한 기존의 혼합분포 접근법의 대체 방법으로 비선형 시계열 모형을 제안한다.

Reinforcing Reverse Logistics Activities in Closed-loop Supply Chain Model: Hybrid Genetic Algorithm Approach (폐쇄루프공급망모델에서 역물류 활동 강화: 혼합유전알고리즘 접근법)

  • In this paper, a methodology for reinforcing reverse logistics (RL) activities in a closed-loop supply chain (CLSC) model is proposed. For the methodology, the activities of the recovery center (RC) which can be considered as one of the facilities in the RL are reinforced. By the reinforced activities in the RC, the recovered parts and products after checking and recovering processes of the returned product from customer can be reused in the forward logistics (FL) of the CLSC model. A mathematical formulation is suggested for representing the CLSC model with reinforced RL activities, and implemented using a hybrid genetic algorithm (HGA) approach. In numerical experiment, two different scales of the CLSC model are presented and the performance of the HGA approach is compared with those of some conventional approaches. The experimental results show that the former outperforms the latter in most of performance measures. The robustness of the CLSC model is also proved by regulating various rates of the recovered parts and products in the RC.

  • Science has developed with great achievements after Galileo's discovery of the law depicting a relationship between observable variables. However, many natural phenomena have been better explained by models including unobservable random effects. A mixed effect model was the first statistical model that included unobservable random effects. The importance of the mixed effect models is growing along with the advancement of computational technologies to infer complicated phenomena; subsequently mixed effect models have extended to various statistical models such as hierarchical generalized linear models. Hierarchical likelihood has been suggested to estimate unobservable random effects. Our special issue about mixed effect models shows how they can be used in statistical problems as well as discusses important needs for future developments. Frequentist and Bayesian approaches are also investigated.

  • 후두낭종은 후두소낭의 비정상적인 팽창으로 발생하는 드문 질환이다. 후두낭종의 크기와 증상에 따라 치료 방법은 단순 경과관찰에서부터 흡인, 경화제 주입, 수술적 치료까지 다양하다. 수술적 치료는 외적 접근법, 내시경적 접근법 또는 두 접근법을 혼용한 접근법을 통해 이루어진다. 최근 저자들은 경부 외적 접근법 및 연골막하 절제를 통한 혼합 후두점액낭종 1예의 치료를 경험하였기에 문헌 고찰과 함께 보고하는 바이다.

  • In this paper, a sustainable close-loop supply chain (SCLSC) model is proposed for effectively managing the production, distribution and handling process of mobile phone. The proposed SCLSC model aims at maximizing total profit as economic factor, minimizing total CO2 emission amount as environmental factor, and maximizing social influence as social factor in order to reinforce sustainability in it. Since these three factors are represented as each objective function in modeling, the proposed SCLSC model can be taken into consideration as a multi-objective optimization problem and solved using a hybrid genetic algorithm (HGA) approach. In numerical experiment, three different scales of the SCLSC model are presented and the efficiency of the HGA approach is proved using various measures of performance.
