Performance Analysis of Turbo Code with Block Interleaver using Hopping Method (호핑방식을 적용한 블록 인터리버을 이용한 터보코드의 성능분석)

  • Channel coding is one of the most important things to improve digital communications. In this paper, we analyze the performance of turbo code with block interleaver using hopping algorithm (i. e., non-linear interleaver) for high speed multi-media service. The input and output of conventional block interleaver is achieved by the order of column and row, but hoping algorithm is achieved by hopping the column and row that increase the minimum distance and average distance between the nearest data dually. To verify and compare the performance of an proposed method the computer simulation have been performed using turbo code in gaussian channel environment.

  • 본 논문에서는 호핑 방식을 사용한 블록 인터리버에 대해 연구하였다, 인터리버의 성능은 인접 데이터간 최소 거리에 이해 결정되어지므로, 인접 데이터간 최소 거리를 증가시키는 방법으로 인터리버의 성능을 향상 시켰다. 기존의 블록 인터리버는 메모리의 입/출력이 행과 열에 대해 차례대로 이루어지는 반면, 본 연구에서 제안된 방식은 행과 열을 건너뛰면서 입/출력이 이루어지므로 인접 데이터간 최소거리와 평균거리를 증가시킨다. 제안하는 인터리버의 또 다른 장점으로는 다양한 호핑 방식의 사용이 가능하다는 것이다. 제안된 인터리버의 성능 분석과 비교를 위해 가우시안 잡음 환경 하에서 컴퓨터 모의 실험을 하였다.

An Adaptive Frequency Hopping Method in the Bluetooth Baseband (블루투스 베이스밴드에서의 적응 주파수 호핑 방식)

  • In Bluetooth version 1.0, the frequency hopping algorithm was such that there was one piconet, using a specific frequency, resolving the frequency depending on the part of the digits of the device clock and the Bluetooth address. Basic pattern was a kind of a round-robin using 79 frequencies in the ISM band. At this point, a problem occurs if there were more than two devices using the same frequency within specific range. In this paper, we proposed a software-based adaptive frequency hopping method so that more than two wireless devices can stay connected without frequency crash. Suggested method was implemented with HDL(Hardware Description Language) and automatically synthesized and laid out. Implemented adaptive frequency hopping circuit operated well in 24MHz correctly.

  • In this paper, hardware circuit that performs functions of IEEE 802.11 wireless LAN frequency hopping PLCP protocol is designed using 0.8 um CMOS cmn8a technology of the COMPASS. Transmission rate of the designed hardware is 1Mbps. The designed circuit have about 6300 gates and $2.5{\times}2.5mm^2$ area. In order to verify the circuit, two PLCP circuits are interconnected and frames are transmitted from one PLCP circuit to the other PLCP circuit. As a results of the simulation, we conclude that the designed PLCP circuit works well as the IEEE 802.11 standard specification.

  • 기존의 음성 정보 보호 방식의 단점인 비화의 감소, 키 수의 제한, 상관 관계를 이용한 제3자의 해독 둥의 문제점을 해결할 수 있는 호핑 필터를 이용한 이차원 진폭 스크램블링은 현대 아날로그 음성 신호에 있어서 강력한 비화 방식이다. 본 논문에서는 KAISER WINDOW FIR 필터를 이용하여 호핑 필터를 구성하였으며, 이차원진폭 스크램블링 알고리즘의 최대 단점인 동기(synchronization)문제를 해결하기 위하여 variable delay를 이용한 알고리즘을 제안하였다. 또한, 시뮬레이션을 통하여 디지탈 신호에도 응용·고찰하였다.

  • 본 논문에서는 국내 기술기준에서 정하고 있는 주파수 호핑 스펙트럼 확산(FHSS) 방식을 사용하는 무선기기에 대한 전파의 질 측정항목과 그에 따른 구체적인 전도성 측정절차에 관하여 서술하였다. 본문에서는 측정에 관련된 일반적인 사항으로부터 주파수 허용편차, 점유주파수대역폭, 공중선전력, 불요발사, 호핑 주파수의 체류시간, 중첩성 및 호핑의 개수 등의 항목들에 대한 세부적인 측정절차와 함께 예시로써 블루투스(bluetooth) 기기를 이용한 실제 측정결과를 함께 제시하고 있다.

Hopping Routing Scheme to Resolve the Hot Spot Problem of Periodic Monitoring Services in Wireless Sensor Networks (주기적 모니터링 센서 네트워크에서 핫 스팟 문제 해결을 위한 호핑 라우팅 기법)

  • In this paper we proposed a hopping routing scheme to resolve the hot spot problem for periodic monitoring services in wireless sensor networks. Our hopping routing scheme constructs load balanced routing path, where an amount of energy consumption of all nodes in the sensor networks is predictable. Load balanced routing paths can be obtained from horizontal hopping transmission scheme which balances the load of the sensor nodes in the same area, and also from vertical hopping transmission scheme which balances the load of the sensor nodes in the other area. The direct transmission count numbers as load balancing parameter for vertical hopping transmission are derived using the energy consumption model of the sensor nodes. The experimental results show that the proposed hopping scheme resolves the hot spot problem effectively. The efficiency of hopping routing scheme is also shown by comparison with other routing scheme such as multi-hop, direct transmission and clustering.

  • 본 논문에서는 나카가미 페이딩 채널하에서 MC DS/CDMA 방식에 FH 방식을 적용한 FH MC/DS CDMA 시스템의 성능을 분석하였다. 나카가미 페이딩 지수 m과 MRC 다이버시티의 브랜치 수 L이 증가할 때 호핑 횟수 1과 4에 대한 분석결과 약 2.8dB의 성능차이를 보이고 있음을 앞 수 있었다. 호핑 횟수의 증가는 주파수 다이버시티 효과를 가져옴으로써 FH MC DS/CDMA 시스템에서 수신측의 부담을 줄이면서 BER 성능을 향상시킬 수 있음을 의미하며 따라서 호핑 횟수를 증가시킴으로써 부담 MC/DS CDMA 시스템의 성능을 개선할 수 있음을 입증하였다.

  • In this paper, it was estimated the BER performance of the individual system type by applying the SFH type and the FFH type to the FH MC-DS CDMA system that combined the strong points of MC DS/CDMA and that of Frequency Mewing under the Nakagami fading channel with Multi-tone Jamming. An increase in the number of hoppings means that it can improve theBER performance by reducing the receiving burden of the FH MC DS/CDMA by achieving a frequency diversity effect. Therefore, I verified that the performances of the FH MC DS/CBMA system could be impoved by increasing the number of hoppings.

  • In this paper, a FFH-SS hybrid communication method using digital frequency synthesizer is proposed. This can simultaneously share the same frequency band with conventional band limited communication method without interference. In the experiment the selective hopping pattern is attained by some conbination of serial to parallel conversion of maximal code from pseudo random noise generater, and it is observed that the selective hopping band transition can be more easily achieved when the hop interval is nonuniform than it is uniform. Digital frequency synthesizer is now reported to have very poor spurious suppression ability below 50~60dB, the reason of this is observed from the experimental result, and the way of how to solve this problem is presneted.
