  • Today, many services and products that used to be only provided on offline have been being provided on the web according to the improvement of computing environment and the activation of web usage. These web-based services and products tend to be provided to customer by customer's preferences. This paradigm that considers customer's opinions and features in selecting is called personalization. The related research field is a recommendation. And this recommendation is performed by recommender system. Generally the recommendation is made from the preferences and tastes of customers. And recommender system provides this recommendation to user. However, the recommendation techniques have a couple of problems; they do not provide suitable recommendation to new users and also are limited to computing space that they generate recommendations which is dependent on ratings of products by users. Those problems has gathered some continuous interest from the recommendation field. In the case of new users, so similar users can't be classified because in the case of new users there is no rating created by new users. The problem of the limitation of the recommendation space is not easy to access because it is related to moneywise that the cost will be increasing rapidly when there is an addition to the dimension of recommendation. Therefore, I propose the solution of the recommendation problem of new user and the usage of item quality as weight to improve the accuracy of recommendation in this paper.

Effects of Fisheries Technological Innovation on Growth per Capita across OECD Countries (수산부문 기술혁신이 OECD 회원국의 성장률에 미친 효과)

  • The environmental problems affecting marine resources and slow growth in the fisheries industry is causing many countries to look for alternative inputs that can boost the fisheries sector. This study focuses on the effects of technological innovation in the fisheries industry on the gross domestic product (GDP) per capita across Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) countries. Using a panel dataset, this study attempts to estimate the different effects of technological innovations in the fisheries industry from country to country using the differences-in-differences (DiD) method. After the DiD method, the Granger causality test is applied to determine the interactive relations between economic growth and the selected variables associated with technological innovation in the fisheries industry, such as government spending on fisheries R&D, the number of patents in fisheries, and employment. The results obtained from the DiD estimation show that government spending on fisheries R&D, fisheries technology development, and fisheries employment positively influences the GDP per capita across OECD counties. From the causality test, we found different bi-directional causal relationships between the GDP per capita and (spending) on fisheries technology development across countries.

A survey research on the primary teachers' perception of social emotional learning in Malawi (말라위 초등교사의 사회정서학습에 대한 인식조사 연구)

  • This study aims to investigate the primary teachers' perception of social emotional learning (SEL) in Malawi. To achieve this purpose, total 78 questionnaires were gathered from 9 primary schools in rural area. The data was analyzed with independent-samples t-test, correlation analysis, and multiple regression analysis. The results of this study are follows. First, the sub-factors of the Malawian primary teachers' perception of SEL shows that Comfort is 4.10, Commitment is 4.59, and Culture is 3.78. Second, there was a significant difference in the Malawian primary teachers' perception by age, years of teaching, and participation to in-service training about SEL among the individual characteristics. Third, the Malawian primary teachers' degree of implementation of SEL in school was 4.01, and there was a significant difference by years of teaching. Forth, among the sub-factors of teachers' perception of SEL, Comfort had a positive effect on the degree of implementation of SEL. This result implied that the reason why Malawian primary teachers had difficulty in implementing SEL in the school might be not a lack of individual competence but feel uncomfortable with implementation. Therefore, in order to implement SEL in the Malawi school, it is necessary to support teachers so they have confidence and comfort psychologically.

Development of Convergence Education Program Based on 3D Panorama Virtual Fieldwork Courses on Water Spider in Eundaeri (은대리 물거미 서식지의 3D 파노라마 가상야외학습장 융합교육 프로그램 개발)

  • This study used Natural Monument water spiders and their habitats as educational contents, so those students could have a scientific literacy and the beautiful memories of Eundaeri's marshes through developing a virtual fieldwork courses (VFC) and observing the ecology of water spiders. In order to develop the program, the 2015 revised national curriculum and its textbooks were analyzed. In accordance with the STEAM model, we developed teaching-learning materials for 7 classes. Students produced 3D panorama virtual fieldwork courses (PVFC) about water spider by team-based cooperative learning, enabling them to emotionally experience the meaning and value of water spiders. A panel of six education experts verified the validity of the program and found it to be fairly valid at 4.24 (CVI = .88) on the 5-point Likert scale. In order to confirm the suitability of the program, students in the middle school science clubs participated in pilot testing camp. Their average classes satisfaction was 4.24 and students were very satisfied with the usefulness of the program, the fresh learning contents, and the suitability of the convergence education class. This study could contribute to convergence education related to ecology and virtual reality for adolescents.

An Empirical Study on the Competitiveness by Satisfaction Measurement of Incheon Port (인천항 이용 만족에 따른 경쟁력에 관한 실증 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to suggest the new strategies for strengthening the competi tiveness of Incheon port. To measure the calling factors and satisfaction of ports, this study developed a list of 24 items using a seven-point Likert scale through the previous literature reviews, pilot test and emerging factors. Factor analysis, regression analysis, one sample T-test, IPA and SPSS were conducted to verify the determinants choosing ports and customer satisfaction. The result of an empirical study revealed that the cargo volume and information system, etc. in Incheon port was evaluated as satisfied factors and berth availability and port charge, etc. as dissatisfied factors. Based on the outcomes of this study, to strengthen the competitiveness of Incheon port, several strategies were advised such as the inducement of North American and European cargo, port infrastructure, dedicated terminal and GTO inducement, hinterland construction, logistics companies inducement and cooperation with neighboring ports.

A Trend Analysis and Policy proposal for the Work Permit System through Text Mining: Focusing on Text Mining and Social Network analysis (텍스트마이닝을 통한 고용허가제 트렌드 분석과 정책 제안 : 텍스트마이닝과 소셜네트워크 분석을 중심으로)

  • The aim of this research was to identify the issue of the work permit system and consciousness of the people on the system, and to suggest some ideas on the government policies on it. To achieve the aim of research, this research used text mining based on social data. This research collected 1,453,272 texts from 6,217 units of online documents which contained 'work permit system' from January to December, 2020 using Textom, and did text-mining and social network analysis. This research extracted 100 key words frequently mentioned from the analyses of data top-level key word frequency, and degree centrality analysis, and constituted job problem, importance of policy process, competitiveness in the respect of industries, and improvement of living conditions of foreign workers as major key words. In addition, through semantic network analysis, this research figured out major awareness like 'employment policy', and various kinds of ambient awareness like 'international cooperation', 'workers' human rights', 'law', 'recruitment of foreigners', 'corporate competitiveness', 'immigrant culture' and 'foreign workforce management'. Finally, this research suggested some ideas worth considering in establishing government policies on the work permit system and doing related researches.

How to Improve the Competency of Agency CM Companies to Conduct the CM at Risk Projects? (용역형 CM사가 책임형 CM 프로젝트를 수행하기 위해 필요한 역량)

  • As the CM at Risk market grows recently, designers and CM companies that have been performing agency CM services have been showing their interests to participate in the CM at Risk projects. With the assumption that agency CM companies with a lot of experiences and know-how in the field of construction project management have created the circumstances to enter the CM at Risk market, this study investigates the competencies necessary for the agency CM companies to carry out the CM at Risk projects. The compentencies to run the CM at Risk projects were identified based on the literature review. A survey was conducted to identify the competencies that need to be supplemented first. The survey results revealed that competency related to partner companies, finance and guarantee, risk and claim, and project cost were identified to have a higher level of complementation compared to other competencies. In addition, considering that the level of competency that need to be secured is high, as the level of holding of all competency is on average 76% of the required level, in the beginning, small-scale CM at Risk projects with relatively low risk are mainly carry out, strengthening competency and then increasing the scale is considered more appropriate strategy.

  • The application of environmental DNA in the domestic ecosystem is also accelerating, but the processing and analysis of the produced data is limited, and doubts are raised about the reliability of the analyzed and produced biological taxa identification data, and the sample medium (target sample, water, air, sediment, Gastric contents, feces, etc.) and quantification and improvement of analysis methods are also needed. Therefore, in order to secure the reliability and accuracy of biodiversity research using the environmental DNA of the domestic ecosystem, it is a process of actively using the database accumulated through ecological taxonomy and undergoing verification procedures, and experts verifying the resolution of the data increased by gene sequence analysis. This is absolutely necessary. Environmental DNA research cannot be solved only by applying molecular biology technology, and interdisciplinary research cooperation such as ecology-taxa identification-genetics-informatics is important to secure the reliability of the produced data, and researchers dealing with various media can approach it together. It is an area in desperate need of an information sharing platform that can do this, and the speed of development will proceed rapidly, and the accumulated data is expected to grow as big data within a few years.

Analysis of Ventilating Seat Comfort Temperature for Improving the Thermal Comfort inside Vehicles (자동차 실내 열쾌적성 개선을 위한 통풍시트의 쾌적온도 분석)

  • As the number of automobile registrations increases and luxury expectations grow, consumers are increasingly interested in indoor environment of vehicles. Therefore, manufacturers have an increasing interest in improving the indoor comfort as well as automobile performance. Research on indoor automobile comfort can help manufacturers increase driver satisfaction and reduce driver stress and discomfort, thereby reducing the risk of traffic accidents. Using electroencephalogram (EEG) measurements, we investigated the change in comfort and comfortable temperature according to the ventilating seat temperature change for both men and women. Results showed that the sensation of comfort was statistically significantly higher at 25℃ than at 28℃. Secondly, there was no statistically significant difference in temperature-based comfort feeling between male and female subjects. In the future, if the correlation between the driver's comfort feeling and the change in ventilating seat temperature is analyzed, it is possible to reduce traffic accidents caused by human error and reduce the electric energy consumption of the automobile.

The Effect of recovery method after forest walking exercise by intensity on heart rate, blood lactic acid and blood glucose (강도에 따른 산림 걷기 운동 시 회복방법이 심박수, 혈중젖산농도, 혈중글루코스에 미치는 영향)

  • This study was conducted to investigate the effects of static recovery and dynamic recovery methods on heart rate, blood lactic acid concentration, and blood glucose during recovery after walking at the speed of 80bpm and 130+30bpm upon trekking of forest slopes in Taejo Mountain in Cheonan. 9 men in their 20s and 30s who had no abnormality in walking was subject to this experience. The result of through static recovery and dynamic recovery methods while trekking at the speed of 80bpm and 130+30bpm were analyzed by two-way repeated ANOVA. When there was a significant difference, the repeated method of contrast was applied to compare and analyze. The heart rate at 80bpm condition was significantly different depending on the method(p=.008) and time(p=.000) and there was no significant difference in blood lactic acid concentration for the recovery method(p=.401), but there was a significant difference depending on the time(p=.000). Blood glucose did not show significant difference according to the recovery method(p=.093), and there was significant difference depending on the time of static recovery method(p=.002). The heart rate in 130bpm + 30bpm condition was significantly different depending on to the method(p=.002) and time(p=.000), blood lactic acid concentration was significantly different depending on the method(p=.001) and time(p=.000), and blood glucose concentration was not significantly different between the time(p=090) and the method(p=.721).
