Survey: Tabletop Display Techniques for Multi-Touch Recognition (멀티터치를 위한 테이블-탑 디스플레이 기술 동향)

  • Recently, the researches based on vision about user attention and action awareness are being pushed actively for human computer interaction. Among them, various applications of tabletop display system are developed more in accordance with touch sensing technique, co-located and collaborative work. Formerly, although supported only one user, support multi-user at present. Therefore, collaborative work and interaction of four elements (human, computer, displayed objects, physical objects) that is ultimate goal of tabletop display are realizable. Generally, tabletop display system designs according to four key aspects. 1)multi-touch interaction using bare hands. 2)implementation of collaborative work, simultaneous user interaction. 3)direct touch interaction. 4)use of physical objects as an interaction tool. In this paper, we describe a critical analysis of the state-of-the-art in advanced multi-touch sensing techniques for tabletop display system according to the four methods: vision based method, non-vision based method, top-down projection system and rear projection system. And we also discuss some problems and practical applications in the research field.

Alleviating and Promoting Factors on Dissolution Intention in Low Commitment Buyer-Seller Relationships (저결속 구매자-판매자 관계에서 관계해지의 완화요인과 촉진요인)

  • This study has investigated the effects of relieving and promoting factors on dissolution intention under the condition of low commitment buyer-seller relationships. Based on intensive literature reviews, eight alleviating factors (dependence, cooperation, communication, relational norms, transaction specific investments, relationship termination costs, satisfaction, and trust) and five promoting factors (opportunism, conflict, goal incongruity, attractiveness of alternatives, and unfairness) were included. A total of thirteen hypotheses were testee using data collected from a dining franchising system. Among 300 collected, 79 cases of low commitment buyer-seller relationships were analyzed. The results showed that eight out of thirteen hypotheses were supported. But five hypotheses related to the variables of cooperation, transaction specific investments, relationship termination costs, attractiveness of alternatives, and opportunism were not supported. following a detailed presentation of the analysis results, the paper concludes by discussing the academic and managerial implications of the findings.

A Study on Sustaining Knowledge Contribution Intention of Participants in the Open Source Software Development Communities (오픈소스 개발 커뮤니티 참여자들의 지속적 지식기여 의도에 관한 연구)

  • The major characteristic of open source software (OSS) is innovativeness. Innovativeness stems from the process of sharing and solving technical problems. This study analyzes the impact of voluntary participation and collaboration of OSS developers on sustained participation in the community based on organizational citizenship behavior and social capital theories. Based on Bolino et al. (2002) and Wasko and Faraj (2005), a research model and hypotheses are developed. A total of 152 OSS developers participated in the survey. The hypotheses are tested by LISREL modeling. The results of analysis show that royalty, social participation, and advocacy participation enhance or positively influence social capital. In addition, reciprocity and shared vision reinforce intention of sustained knowledge contribution. However, the result shows a statistically insignificant relationship between social participation and shared vision and between cohesiveness and intention of sustained knowledge contribution.

The Factors Affecting advanced Beginner-Stage Nurse's Intention of Retention (상급초보 간호사의 재직의도 영향요인)

  • The purpose of this study was to identify advanced beginner-stage nurse's intention of retention. Data were collected from May 1 to June 30 of 2017 using a structured questionnaire. Participants consisted of 150 nurses with 13 to 36 month clinical careers at a hospital located in D, C and K city, Korea. Data were analyzed by descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, Scheffe's test, Pearson's correlation coefficients and multiple regression, using IBM SPSS WIN 20.0. The average score was 3.34 (${\pm}0.53$) for ego resilience, 2.28 (${\pm}0.44$) for sense of calling, 3.88 (${\pm}0.58$) for teamwork, 3.36 (${\pm}0.42$) for organizational culture, and 5.27 (${\pm}1.38$) for retention intention. Retention intention was positively correlated with ego resilience (r=0.211, p<0.05), sense of calling (r=0.338, p<0.001), teamwork (r=0.284, p<0.001) and organizational culture (r=0.215, p<0.01). Regression analysis revealed that sense of calling and teamwork explained 11.4% (${\beta}=0.284$, p<0.001) and 4.2% (${\beta}=0.212$ p<0.001) of the retention intention of advanced beginner-stage nurses, respectively, and these variables together explained 15.6% of the retention intention of advanced beginner-stage nurses. The results of this study will improve retention intention of advanced beginner-stage nurses and facilitate development a management program and execution strategy that helps improve sense of calling and teamwork, especially that of friendly social orientation and mutual cooperation.

Study on Factors Affecting Intention of Switching China's Mobile Telecommunication Service - Focusing on PPM Theory (중국 이동통신시장에서 서비스 전환의도에 영향을 미치는 요인에 관한 연구 - PPM 이론을 중심으로)

  • China's mobile communication market has been growing quantitatively and qualitatively since 2000. Currently, it has secured 1.27 billion mobile subscribers and many of the Korean companies try to enter the Chinese market and cooperation with companies in China is being held. Thus understanding of the Chinese markets is the key to better prepare for future international competition. This study is to identify factors affecting switching intentions and behaviors for Chinese mobile subscribers to other mobile service providers by the PPM and it is to derive correlations between strategies of mobile service providers and users' switching intention by the groups classified by ARPU. We conducted a survey targeting 270 Chinese mobile users and analyze it by using Smart PLS 2.0. In conclusion, push effects have positive influence on intention to switching and relational switching cost among mooring effect have significantly negative influence on intention to switching In particular, intention to switching depending on the groups classified by a level of their ARPU have been shown as significantly different. This study will extend theoretical range of PPM theory in explaining users' switching behaviors and contribute to establish strategies to enter the chinese market.

A Study on the Factors Influencing Continuous Intention to Use of OTT Service Users: Focused on the Extension of Technology Acceptance Model (OTT서비스 이용자의 지속사용의도 영향 요인에 관한 연구: 기술수용모델의 확장을 중심으로)

  • This study verified the factors influencing continuous intention to use of OTT service users through technology acceptance model and extension. For this purpose, the main results were derived through correlation analysis and path analysis using SPSS 21.0 program and AMOS 21.0 program. The summary is as follows. First, perceived ease of use was found to have a statistically significant positive effect on perceived usefulness. Second, perceived ease of use did not have a statistically significant effect on continuous intention to use. Third, the perceived usefulness has a statistically significant positive effect on continuous intention to use. Fourth, perceived innovativeness has a statistically significant positive effect on perceived ease of use. Fifth, perceived innovativeness has a statistically significant positive effect on continuous intention to use. Sixth, perceived playfulness has a statistically significant positive effect on continuous intention to use. The above results will be meaningful in that it has revealed a path to understand the extension of the technology acceptance model of OTT services and acceptance of OTT services.

미국 선물시장의 규제제도 운영현황 - 상품선물현대화법과 애국자법 시행에 따른 변화를 중심으로 -

  • 미국 선물시장에서는 1934년 증권법과 1974년 선물거래법 그리고 1982년 Johnson-shad 협상안 이후, 증권은 SEC에서, 선물은 CFTC에서 규제하는 현선분리원칙을 지켜왔다. 그러나 최근의 상품선물현대화법과 애국자법(The Patriot Act)의 제정으로 인하여 미국선물시장은 다중규제(Multi-layered Regulation)의 도입이라는 변화를 겪고 있다. 상품선물현대화법은 새로 도입된 증권선물상품(Security Futures Products)을 선물이자 동시에 증권이라고 정의함으로써, CFTC와 SEC가 공동으로 선물시장을 규제하게 되었다. SEC와 CFTC의 위원장간에 교환된 양해각서에서는 특별히 두 정부규제기관간의 신속한 정보교환과 긴밀한 업무협조를 다짐하고 있다. 공적규제기관의 협력적 관계는 민간 자율규제기관에도 영향을 미쳐, NASD와 NFA는 회원등록업무와 감리업무 그리고 회원사 교육 훈련 등에서 상호협력적인 공동의 노력을 기울이고 있다. 2001년 9-11 테러사건을 계기로 입법된 애국자법은 선물중개업자들의 현금거래 보고의무를 추가하였다. 선물중개업자들을 금융기관으로서 고객확인의무(Know-Your-Customer Rule)를 지고, 선물거래고객이 1만달러 이상을 현금으로 납입할 경우에는 Currency Transactions Report를 작성하여야 하며, 입출금조작행위나 그러한 의도가 보이는 경우에는 Suspicious Activity Report를 작성하여 금융범죄수사국에 보고하여야 한다.

Multiplicity of Synchronous Online Class Discussion Activity: A Conceptual Exploration (실시간 온라인 수업 토론 활동의 중층성에 대한 개념적 탐색)

  • In this study, the multiplicity of synchronous online class discussion activity is explored at conceptual level. From the cultural-historical activity theory (CHAT), each utterance may be considered as a product of the activity system. Alderfer's ERG theory is employed as another theoretical framework for the study. Based on the subject's existence, relationship, growth needs, their class discussion activities constitute four different dimensions: physical/biological, cultural/institutional, social/relational, and cooperative knowledge construction. It is inherent in individual activities and has a different arrangement according to their interests and situations, and at the same time acts as a factor of cooperation and competition among the participants. Through this, collective discussion activities represent complex and dynamic development patterns.

Relationships of Self-esteem to Job Satisfaction and Turnover Intention among Ship-building Supply Workers (조선업 협력업체 근로자의 자아존중감, 직무만족 및 이직의도와의 관계)

  • Purpose: This is a descriptive correlation study to identify self-esteem, job satisfaction, and turnover intention among ship-building supply workers. Methods: The subjects were 199 ship-building supply workers at two small & medium-sized ship-building supply companies in K city. The data were collected from March 1st through 31st, 2013. The collected data were analyzed using the SAS program through t-test, ANOVA, Scheff$\acute{e}$ test, and Pearson's correlation coefficients. Results: There was a positive correlation between self-esteem and job satisfaction (r=.29, p<.001), a negative correlation between self-esteem and turnover intention (r=-.20, p<.001). Also there was a negative correlation between job satisfaction and turnover intention (r= -.58, p<.001). Conclusion: This finding identified that the self-esteem and job satisfaction were an important variable related to the turnover intention. Therefore, organizational managers need to develop strategies for improving workers' self-esteem and job satisfaction to prevent and decrease worker's turnover intention.

Factors Affecting Turnover Intention among Married Nurses in Small and Medium-sized Hospitals (중소병원 기혼간호사의 이직의도에 영향을 미치는 요인)

  • Purpose: This descriptive study analyzed the factors affecting turnover intention among married nurses in small- and medium-sized hospitals with less than 300 beds. Methods: Data were collected from 177 married nurses located in K city from April 8, 2022 to April 21, 2022 using a questionnaire. Descriptive statistics, independent tests, one-way ANOVA, Pearson's correlation coefficient test, and multiple regression were analyzed using the SPSS/WIN 22 program. Results: Nurses rated items on a scale of five points. Their average rating for job satisfaction was 3.43±0.30, resilience was 3.51±0.38, and role conflict was 2.60±0.63. The nursing practice environment was rated 3.12±0.44, and turnover intention was 3.14±0.62 points. Age, job satisfaction, and nursing practice environment accounted for 25.1% of turnover intention (F=6.90, p<.001). Conclusion: To decrease married nurses' turnover intention in small- and medium-sized hospitals with less than 300 beds, these findings can help develop a program that addresses the causes of high turnover amongst married nurses in local hospitals.
