Simulation of a Dynamic Scheduling Elevator System using the DEVS formalism (DEVS 형식론을 이용한 동적 스케쥴링 승강기 시뮬레이터의 구현)

  • 본 논문에서는 다수의 승강기들이 서로 협력하여 운영되는 대형 고층 빌딩의 승강기 시스템에 대해서 DEVS 형식론을 이용하여 모델링하고 시뮬레이션한다. 다수의 독립적으로 운영되는 승강기로 이루어진 기존의 승강기 시스템과는 달리, 제안된 시스템에서는 사용자의 요구에 따라 승강기의 스케쥴이 생성, 변경, 삭제되는 동적 스케쥴링 기능을 갖도록 하였다. 제안된 시스템은 승강기 시스템을 나타내는 ELEVATOR 모델과 시뮬레이션 수행에 필요한 실험장치인 EF 모델로 구성된다. ELEVATOR 모델은 빌딩을 나타내는 BUILD 모델, 승강기를 나타내는 ELEV 모델과 각 승가기의 스케쥴을 다이나믹하게 제어하는 SCHED 모델로 구성된다. EF 모델은 실험용 데이터를 생성하는 GENR 모델, 이동하는 승객의 데이터를 추적하고 결과를 수집하는 TRANSD 모델로 구성된다. 모델링된 시스템의 시뮬레이션을 위해 DEVSim++를 이용하여 구현하였다. DEVSim++는 DEVS 형식론을 C++로 구현한 것이다. 시뮬레이션을 통하여 제안된 시스템의 효율, 수행 시간을 기존의 승강기 시스템과 비교, 분석하였다.

Improved Weighted-Collaborative Spectrum Sensing Scheme Using Clustering in the Cognitive Radio System (클러스터링 기반의 CR시스템에서 가중치 협력 스펙트럼 센싱 기술의 개선연구)

  • In this paper, we introduce clustering scheme to calculate probability of detection which is practically required for conventional weighted-collaborative sensing technique. We also propose an improved weighted-collaborative spectrum sensing scheme using new weight generation algorithm to achieve better performance in Cognitive Radio systems. We calculate Pd in each cluster which is a CR users group with similar channel situation. New weight factor is generated using square sum of all cluster's Pds. Simulations under slow fading show that we can get better total detection probability and lower false alarm rate when PU (Primary User) suddenly terminates their transmission.

  • Supply chain management for complex project focuses on planning acquisitions, identifying and choosing the right suppliers and subcontractors, planning and negotiating appropriate contracts, and administering and closing contracts. Working with suppliers and subcontractors requires continuous integration activities during project execution. This article examines the concept and issues concerning supply chain management in plant engineering Project, of which has not been taken seriously by industry. We propose the technological infra, social infra and information system connecting all participants in supply chain, as the major fields of research requiring industry attentions, and give a brief summary of research in each proposed areas.

  • The communication and collaboration of mobile agents are efficient in doing information processing in the Internet. Therefore, this paper proposes an efficient communication mechanism that support to inter-agent communications and collaborations. For the remark mentioned above, a mobile agent system provides an indirect meeting mechanism as well as an extended information pool, which has an effect on decreasing network bandwidth. In addition, some proposed communication methods can support to message multicasting so that those are effectively adapted for a model of group agent. Finally, the proposed mechanism is implemented and analyzed in the MAS, a mobile agent system model developed by the Java language.

  • The TAM(Topographic Attentive Mapping) network based on a biologically-motivated neural network model is an especially effective one for pattern analysis. It is composed of of input layer, category layer, and output layer. Fuzzy rule, for input and output data are acquired from it. The TAM network with three pruning rules for reducing links and nodes at the layer is called fuzzy TAM network. In this paper, we apply fuzzy TAM network to pattern analysis of core competency model for subcontractors of construction companies and show its usefulness.

  • In this paper, we study the secrecy outage probability when using cooperative diversity and jammer in a relay system based on decode-and-forward. MRC method is used in receiver and eavesdroppers to obtain cooperative diversity. To use the MRC technique, direct links between the sender and receiver, and between the sender and the eavesdropper are used, respectively. Jammers are used to generate intentional noise siganls to increase security capacity. Jammers generate intentional noise, degrading the channel quality of the eavesdropper and helping physical layer security be realized. The secrecy outage probability is used to evaluate security performance. Assume that the system is under the Rayleigh fading channel.

  • In this paper, we investigate cooperative spectrum sensing scheme for sensor network-aided cognitive radio systems with energy harvesting capability. In the proposed model, each sensor node harvests ambient energy from environment such as solar, wind, mechanical vibration, or thermoelectric effect. We propose adaptive cooperative spectrum sensing scheme in which each sensor node adaptively carries out energy detection depending on the residual energy in its energy storage and then conveys the sensing result to the fusion center. From simulation results, we show that the proposed scheme minimizes the false alarm probability for given target detection probability by adjusting the number of samples for energy detector.

  • In this paper, we propose a C_PBS(C Program Bank System) which can support effective learning of C language. C_PBS allows a variety of problem uses and provides 3 types of search method for user convenience. It also shows many useful facilities: a variety of answers to a problem, display of problems according to reference frequency, interesting problem list, and problem carts. Especially, with the addition of comments and reference to the problems and answers, it implements collective intelligence via mutual collaborative learning by supporting the philosophy of web 2.0: participation, sharing, and open.

  • This article examines the current status and future trends in library and information services in USA, with particular emphasis on the library automation system, library cooperation, Internet andinformation services, activities of information services organizations. Client/server computing and integrated Web-based technology make it possible for libraries to build a new generation of automated library systems, and digital libraries project is the highest priority. As a cooperative effort among libraries, they formed consortia such as ARL/AAU on the national level. and CIC on the regional level, and GALILEO, LLN, OhioLink, Texshare, VIVA, ILLINET on the state level information netwok. The Internet and the World Wide Web have a huge impact, so American libraries are developing new skills to provide value-added information services using Internet resources. Lastly, recent information activities of the LC, NAL, NLM, ERIC, NTIS are described.

  • This thesis presents a step-by-step development strategy to implement electronic school libraries corresponding to level 2 among 3 levels of the school library. The implementation of electronic school libraries means the transformation of school libraries into school media centers. This thesis divides the implementation of electronic school libraries into 3 steps. The first step is the implementation of facilities, the second step the implementation of web-based information system, the third step the networking of school libraries, on the basis of the first and second steps. And this thesis presents the basic policy of educational administration aspects to support 3 steps.
