In this study, I developed a teaching-learning model using project learning model which makes the most of PIM(Peer & Instructor Mentoring), Presentation contest, and unification of courses on the field ophthalmic optics. There were several conclusion as followings;. The teaching-learning model considering the unification and organic connections among subjects was efficient to the students' academic achievement. Peer & instructor mentoring system was helpful for students to accomplish their own learning projects. Project learning model with collaboration was useful for the development of students' self-controled learning ability and communicative ability. Project learning model gave its driving force to the better motivation and to the goal achievement. Project learning model was instructive for building up the related theories and concepts on the students' major. In conclusion, project learning model mixed subjects with festival, can be a alternative teaching-learning model.

This research aims to diagnosis regional science as culture and propose plans for improvement. The study was performed based on a framework for analyses presented by existing literatures. Science culture is divided into two dimensions(individual and social), Each dimension is expected to represent citizen literacy of and regional infrastructure of science culture respectively. Gyeonggi region of Korean metropolitan area has been analyzed for the case study. As a result of the case study, the level of science culture of Gyeonggi region is weak compared with others areas. To improve, we propose some plans such as budget extension, long-term view on investments, strengthen network and organizational system for regional science culture.

Climate change, rapid urbanization, and population concentration have led to a higher frequency and magnitude of disasters in the world. Recently, the occurrence of large-scale complex disasters, which are caused by a combination of natural disasters, man-made disasters, and social disasters, is increasing. In Korea, there are many case studies of damage prediction and response technology development for individual natural disasters, such as earthquakes, floods, and typhoons. On the other hand, the system basis for the efficient response and management of large-scale complex disasters is insufficient. Therefore, this study examined the representative cases of natural, social disasters, and related cases of domestic disaster response management systems. In addition, this paper proposes ways to improve the legal system for complex disaster management policies and establish a cooperation system between the ministries for an efficient response.

Analyzing out the Key Tasks and Developing the Professional Type of National Librarians through Job Analysis was made, because improving the professionalism of librarians is the strategy of survival in the competency based society. It is composed of 22 duties, 216 tasks of national librarian job and 96 key tasks is extracted among them. As the results, 12 types of professional librarian which is composed 10 function oriented types, and 2 user oriented types, is suggested: collection development librarian, cataloger taxonomist, information service librarian, reading coach, research librarian of international standards, database & system manager, international work librarian, national support librarian, marketing librarian, library literacy librarian, children' librarian, handicapped service librarian.

The purpose of this study are to analyze tasks of the public librarians through Job Analysis ('DACUM') and to survey the demands of professional librarian (professional librarian types), As the results, In public libraries, technical services (classification, cataloging etc.,) is reduced, while reading, culture (continued education), and information service are increased. High Altitude Platform (HAP) based networks deploy network infrastructures of Mobile Base Station (MBS) in a form of Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) at stratosphere in order to build network configuration. The ultimate goal of HAP based network is a wireless network service for wide area by deploying multiple MBS for such area. In this paper we assume multiple UAVs over designated area and solve the MBS placement and coverage problem by clustering the mobile ground nodes. For this study we assumed area around Cheju island and nearby naval area where multiple mobile and fixed nodes are deployed and requires HAP based networking service. By simulation, visual results of stratospheric MBS placement have been presented. These results include clustering, MBS placement and coverage as well as dynamic reclustering according to the movement of mobile ground nodes.

As international trade has been increased, the competition of major ports is getting hard. The objective of this competition is that to get more cargoes, so port managements and operators are struggling to obtain cargoes. In addition the competition structure has classified several forms bemuse of specialization, integration and subdivision of port players. In this paper, therefore, we analyze the change of competition structure by port players' development characteristics. In the result of this study, competition structure is divided into five groups as among nations, among ports, among container terminal operation companies, among global container terminal operation companies and among container terminal operation companies operated by shipping companies. And they have showed not only competition but also co-operation partly in order to get strategic position.

Considering that firms' view on R&D activities may differ depending on the economic situation, in this paper, R&D policies that significantly affect the business performance are identified. The analysis is conducted by dividing the analysis time-frame into before and after the economic recession. In addition, we analyze by considering the type of industry, the proportion of R&D investment, and the type of government support policy that the companies participate in. According to the results of the empirical analysis, the provision of global market and technology information is recognized to give a significant impact on business performance for both before and after the economic recession. It is shown that recognizing the importance of 'supporting self-technology development', 'enhancing technical cooperation with foreign countries', and 'enhancing the contract and intellectual property protection system' that had significant effects before the recession did not significantly affect the business performance after the recession. The analysis results could give meaningful implications to the government for deciding which R&D activities should be supported.

With increasing chronic patients due to population aging, many needs for pro-active health and medical treatment services are rising and desire for health care service is also rising due to national standard of living Especially population aging of Korea is faster than America, France and many other advanced nations, and a study states that arrival time of elderly population rates; 14%(aged society) to 20%(transcendental aged society)l only takes 8 years. In these reasons, health care industry for the next engine industry is reinforced. Many health care terminals are coming out and Continua Health Alliance is founded and working steadily based on Philips in 2006. In this paper, we suggest Gateway interface system for Continua accreditation to control vary communication by designing intelligent health care interface suitable for Continua international accreditation because there are many types of terminals and communication protocols.

The maritime cognitive radio networks (MCRNs) provide the high throughput with a low communication cost because the secondary ships opportunistically access to unused licensed bands of primary ships. In the ground cognitive radio networks, the busy and idle state of a primary user during a frame is not nearly changed because the state of the primary user are slowly changed. However, the state of the primary ship in the MCRNs may be frequently changed in the frame. Therefore, this paper evaluates the throughput of a primary ship and secondary ships in the MCRNs taking the state change of a primary ship into consideration when the fusion center uses the cooperative spectrum sensing. The simulation results show that trade-off between the throughput of a primary ship and that of secondary ships according to the system parameter such as the cooperative spectrum sensing scheme, the number of secondary ships, and the target detection probability.
